ABC News Dating Show Produced by Mr. Wrong
By Debbie Schlussel
Am I the only one who noticed that the Executive Producer of ABC News’ new reality show, “Hooking Up,” is named Terence WRONG? So an awful online-dating show (chock full of diva headcases), produced by a so-called news division of a major broadcast network, is brought to you by MR. WRONG. Why am I not surprised? Still looking for “Mr. Right”? Don’t go to ABC, where you’ll only find Mr. Wrong . . . and be incredibly bored by his annoying dating “documentary.” Yawn-worthy.
Full Disclosure: In March, ABC News flew me to New York to participate in a pilot to replace “Nightline.” I was not paid. It was the smoky nightclub-like show, later described in the New York Times (by reporter Jacques Steinberg), featuring all of ABC’s up-and-coming young correspondents, shot in the Times Square studio of “Good Morning America.” Until now, I kept the details of this secret, but it has been in the public domain, since ABC News’ President talked about it to the Times.

I just watched part of that incoherent estrogen-laden pap. I was hoping for something a little racier… and not so… pathetic.
That’s what I get for watching network television!
