Dhimmitude 101: U.S. Hands Iran Yet Another Victory

By
We know that Iran is funding, arming, and training Shi’ite terrorists who are attacking our troops. We know that they are also helping Al-Qaeda (Sunni) terrorists there. So what do we do? We hand Ahmadinejad yet another victory.

U.S. forces briefly held eight Iranians, including two diplomats. Tuesday night, they were caught with unauthorized weapons and were believed to be helping terrorist fighters against U.S. troops. They claimed they were guards to Iranian diplomats. Uh-huh. That’s why they also had with them a large briefcase filled with American cash. Because, as everyone knows, American cash is king in helping to protect Iranian diplomats in Iraq. Well, maybe. But I doubt that’s what the cash was for. More likely to fund terrorists looking for arms.
But what did we do? We just released all eight of them. And, to make matters worse, we called their detention “regrettable.” HUH?! What is regrettable about it . . . aside from releasing them with absolutely zero penalty?
Why are we losing? With actions like these, no need to ask the question. We simply don’t have the will to win. And by that, I’m not referring to America, with its left-wing whine crowd and accompanying Oprah viewership. I’m talking about our OWN generals and the Bush Administration directing them. The “regrettable” comment? That was made by an advisor to General David Petraeus:

Saadi Othman, an adviser to Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. general in Iraq, told British Broadcasting Corp. television that the detentions were “regrettable” and had “nothing to do” with Bush’s remarks.

Saadi Othman? I understand the Muslim affirmative action absurdity, but this is ridiculous. Our general appoints a Muslim to apologize for our legitimate actions? Hello . . .? And this is supposed to be our top general over there? With generals like these, who needs enemies?
And after releasing these “diplomats” a/k/a spies and subversives, Iran continues to shell Iraq and to scoff at America. GUH-REAT. Clearly, we should not have released them.
The Washington Post claims:

Televised images of the handcuffed men complicated an increasingly tense diplomatic and military standoff with Iran.

Right. Because our “diplomatic” relations with Iran are so great. Trust me, Ahmadinejad doesn’t call detention of Westerners for absolutely no reason, “regrettable.” And he doesn’t worry how it will look to those who hate him when they watch it on TV. That’s the way to go.
Do you ever remember the Ahmadinejad regime calling the detention of British sailors or American academics “regrettable”?
PUH-LEEZE. He’s laughing at us. I’d be laughing, too, if it weren’t so sad. And yet another nail in our coffin.
And that’s how this story is playing all over the Muslim world.

This is one of the main consequences of allowing multi-lateralism, international opinion, and political correctness to influence military decisions. We are at war. These lowlifes should have been juiced for info, summarily shot, and buried publicly next to blood-oozing pig carcasses Black Jack Pershing style.

JasonBourne81 on August 30, 2007 at 1:46 pm

The reality is, there are rules, and we folow them. According to the article they indeed were diplomats and their guards.
What bothers me is, where were the Iraqi’s when the car went through the checkpoint? Are Americans doing the jobs Iraqi’s won’t do? Do we not trust the Iraqi’s to do the job of protecting their own country? Why were the arrests made only by Americans? In the episode mentioned, Iraqi involvement occurs only at the end when they are needed to confirm the status of the Iranians. Where the heck are the Iraqis and what are they doing to protect themselves? Aren’t Iraqis manning check points? Haven’t we trained the Iraqi Police and Military to do this?
Do we TRUST the Iraqis?
Please tell me the electricity generating plant they were there to deal with is non-nuclear. Then again, since Iraq is a democracy now, we would probably help build them a nuclear reactor.
If anything positive is to be said about this incident, it is that the cash and weapons have been conficated. No doubt the cash was to be used as bibes. Moreover, I hope when the Iranians send over more diplomats they will abide by the rules and carry only the weapons they are allowed to carry.

Zyzzyg is right about following the rules, but it doesn’t help when most of our country’s leadership is made up of traitors, either.
Kind of ironic that Ahmadinejad was one of the perps of the Embassy takeover back in 1979…

Red Ryder on August 30, 2007 at 3:56 pm

Zyzzyg – you have some points regarding the Iraqis. It’s time to stop treating them like children and let them man up and take responsibility for their future. This is very politically incorrect and given how much our leadership cares about international outcry, it would never happen, but here is my proposal:
1. Continue training Iraqi soldiers. Once they pass their combat “tests”, refuse to back them up. Encourage Iraqi Generals to shoot deserters who run from combat on sight.
2. Instead of policing Sadr City, Fallujah, etc. and trying to maintain a peacekeeping operation, withdraw to 3 main bases throughout the country, as well as dispatch soldiers along oil pipelines to protect the oil supply from terrorists to help ensure world energy stability.
2. When terrorists take over a place, let our jets take off from one of our 3 bases and level it and send a message to the terrorists themselves, as well as their “civilian” supporters who aid and comfort them, that we mean business.
3. Since Baathist terror state Syria cannot be relied upon in good faith to control terrorists from sneaking across their border, lay out land mines all throughout the Al-Anbar border areas and let these lowlifes meet their 72 young boy virgins along with their homo hero Yasser. Do the same for the Iranian border.
4. Treat Iranian interference that we can prove as an act of war and retaliate accordingly. Blow up a base near the Iraqi border with a set of cruise missiles, etc.
5. If intelligence captures satellite imagery of terrorist training camps in Syria and Iran, which they have done, “make it rain” with cruise missiles.
In summation, we are trying to be too PR friendly and multilateral. We need to quite being PC, kick ass, and take names. We need to assist the Iraqis in building their nations, but not police their country for them. We also need to teach the thugocrat neighbors on both sides that we mean business and will not allow their proxy war with us to go unchallenged.

My oldest son recently returned from two consectutive tours with the 5th Marines in Fallujah. He says actions like this make our job over there almost impossible because the Iraqs view a response like this as weak. They loose faith in our government to help make any real reforms. He also said that most of the insurgents coming into Iraq are from Iran and Saudi Arabia. In his view, our State Department tries to negociate with people who only understand fear. They fear Iran because, it would appear, that we will be leaving and who will take over the country next will be the Iranians and they will be unbearably brutal and bloodthirsty in establishing their form of dictatorship. He said it will be a big mistake for us to leave with out leaving as victors.
We can win if the politicians would let us fight to win. God save our country should we not cut the head off the islamic snake in Iran (then Saudi Arabia and Pakistan) if we leave before claiming victory only god can save this county, and western society, because no man could.

infidel1975 on August 30, 2007 at 5:02 pm

Infidel, you are correct regarding the national origin of these vermin. However, they mostly get in from Syria. There was an excellent article over at Frontpage magazine detailing how Damascus airport has been a starting point for Islamic terrorists flying in from Iran and Saudi Arabia. They then travel across the border into Iraq. As I said, a healthy dose of land mines would remedy that situation nicely.
As to Damascus, it is like St. Joseph, Mo to Lewis and Clark as a staging ground for terrorists. We need to work with Mossad and get agents in there to spy on, perhaps capture, or perhaps just outright kill some of the “arrivals” to Damascus airport.

Jason I pray that America wakes up before it is too late. The hatred islam stands for will engulf the free western society. A modern holocost will be the result, the liberals in America should remember the past and realise what is happening now happened in the 1940’s under nazism. America must do whatever possible to stop this world wide threat immediately. Our children, and grandchildren’s freedom and liberty depend on the decisions we are making now as a country.

Infidel,
The liberals will never understand. They have too much in common with both the Islamo-fascists and Nazis. Their root ideology is “progressive” which also is the root of most of the ‘-isms’ of the 20th Century.

They should’ve just shot them all and sent their bodies home, let Ahmadinejad do something about it.

Hey Debbie –
Thanks for telling it like it is about the Muslim problem. I know you take a lot of heat for standing up to and exposing these world-dominating psychos.
Have you seen these stats? 25,000 out of 80,000 Dearborn residents are ARABS? “And of all the Dearborn children under the age of 18, a full 58% are Arab children!”
The American leaders have sold us out… At this point, I’m thinking that nothing less than an all-out nuclear war will prevent us from becoming dhimmis.

Bush has a pair temporarily after 9/11. He slowly lost them about 2 years afterwards. He got a pair again after the beatdown the Republicans took in the ’06 election. Now its back to the PC Bush again apparently. What’s next? Cancel the Surge?

I served 4 years for my country (desert storm), my grandfather served in WWII, several uncles in Vietnam. I LOVE my country as much as I love my wife and kids. I tear up whenever I hear the national anthem, whether in person or on the TV. We have the best form of government ever conceived by man. BUT, it is run by people that I wouldn’t trust to run a lemonade stand. The country I love is not what it once was. We don’t have the “stones” to do the right thing. We stand for nothing and fall for anything. Debbie, I have been reading your blog for only about 6-7 months and I am stupified, horrorified, and “angry-fied” with each passing day at our leaders. So many of them, both sides, are seditious, traitorous, sniveling little cretins that want nothing more than to win the next election. The good of the country be damned. I am heartbroken! This is not what I and so many of my family members fought for! I don’t know what to do. I am frustrated beyond belief. I don’t understand our government and I have a degree in Political Science! The only thing that I can count on is that when the s**t hits the fan and Americans have to take up arms to defend ourselves from Muslim terrorists on our own soil; all of the frustration, anger, sense of betrayal, and love of freedom will come boiling over. Us Americans, real Americans, the tax paying, hard working, god fearing, the do-whats-right-even-when-no-one-is-looking, second amendment loving, George Patton worshipping, type of Americans will rise up and defend and save this great land. I don’t know what any of this has to do with this thread, I just had to say something to somebody. I fear for my kids future, I fear that my 9 year old son will one day have to defend our backyard because the government has given the front yard to the enemy. Thank you for letting me vent. I need a Tylenol!

How ’bout OBL? ROFL.

Anybody seen V for Vendetta? This guy reminds me very much of Chancellor Adam Suttler, the dictator in that movie played by William Hurt. Britain under Suttler is also very like Iran under Amanidinejad and the Mad Mullahs.
