HA! Club Ted’s (Ted Kennedy’s) Newspaper Endorses . . .

By Debbie Schlussel

. . . Lt. Col. Scott Brown.  Read it and weep, Coakley fools.  Pigs are flyin’.  While most of the endorsement is terrific, there are a few troubling parts, most notably this:

In an editorial board meeting with the Cape Cod Times earlier this week, Brown was critical of President Bush and defended President Obama regarding the current financial crisis.

Ted Kennedy’s Paper Endorses Lt. Col. Scott Brown

Still, I’d vote for Scott Brown in a heartbeat. Hopefully that’s the only downside. But, hey, it’s the People’s Republic of Dukakis Happens.  So he’s waaaaay better than what usually emanates from the state that houses Harvard Hates America University.  And head and shoulders about Martha Coakley. It’s not that the endorsement will sway votes (few endorsements do these days, especially from newspapers), or that the paper has a significant audience–it’s readership is small. It’s the significance that Teddy Kennedy’s paper is now endorsing what is, relatively speaking, essentially a conservative Republican candidate.

Barack Obama coming to Taxachusetts to campaign for Coakley is a dumb move on  the libs’ part and the best move we can hope for.  With people seething at Obama, it can only help push Brown over the top.  The only thing better would be if Roman Polanski flew in to campaign for her.  Or Charles Manson.

Plus, when she loses–after B. Hussein O. trekked down there with his posse–it’ll be a giant embarrassment for him, showing he has no juice.  If she wins, it won’t be a victory, as they’ve already lost with a relative conservative slaying her in the polls right now a couple of days before the polls open.  It’s a lose-lose for him, and if he were smart, he’d stay at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.  Yet more evidence that he’s not as smart as the mainstream media keeps lecturing us that he is.

I really think that–absent too much voter fraud and union shenanigans (which we can assume there will be at least a bit of both–hey, it’s the People’s Republic of Club Ted)–that Brown will pull this thing out.

He has the Big Mo’.  While she is the Big Schmo.

***

A few other things that Ted Kennedy’s hometown newspaper forgot to mention about Lt. Col. Scott Brown:

* He knows how to drive and won’t likely submerge any cars or women under water and forget to call the police and let them know about it until many hours later.

* He won’t wake up his nephew in the middle of the night to go to Au Bar to pick up chicks and rape ’em.

* We won’t likely be reading about his liquid lunches at La Brasserie, where the main course is en flagrante delicto with some unselect, willing bim.

* He doesn’t own a yacht, so we won’t be seeing naked photos of him knockin’ boots with another unselect, willing bim off the French Riviera, in the first and only case in which a Kennedy supported offshore drilling.

Not that we would be seeing any of these things with Martha Coakley because she’s, well–look at her–she’s Martha Coakley. But since she’s running as the reincarnation of Club Ted, she must stand on his entire record of public–and notorious–life (much of which really didn’t involve standing).

This is Pulitzer material. Unfortunately, the entire committee is now in Haiti, busy sniffing Katie Couric’s Bean boots.

Astonishingly, a mostly fair and cogent assessment of Scott Brown, presented without (much) bias or spin. I am anxiously awaiting the follow up story on HuffPo or Daily Kos about how the vast right-wing conspiracy has infiltrated the Cape Cod Times. Perhaps Reagan’s words can be right once more, and it will be “morning in America, again.”

Loved your list, too. But please, please, please, please, PLEASE don’t give Martha Coakley any ideas about nude modeling on yachts. Please, for the love of God, I’m begging you.

It is a sign of the times. This was supposed to be a very, very safe seat that the Democrats could have seated a stray dog in, but times have changed. Real resources are being expended to defend this seat, including a visit by a very busy Barack Obama. Debbie is quite right in saying that this is a terrible situation for President Obama. If Coakley loses after his divine intervention, he will look more and more like a god that failed. On the other hand, even a narrow Coakley win means that the Democrats are on very shaky ground even in a very blue Northeastern start with a Republican registration barely into the double digits. Independents are taking out Coakley, and not Republicans.

Brown isn’t perfect, but in terms of Massachusetts Republians, he as as good as any. Romney instituted that ridiculous health plan a few years ago; Weld endorsed Obama in 2008, Sen. Brooke was about the most liberal Repoublican ever, so Brown as as good as we can get in Massachusetts for the time being. Definitely if he wins Obama and the soc/libs are tremendously weakened, but we still have the job of creating a Republican party that actually stands for something in terms of the issues. We can’t just meander along based on the Democrats’ errors.

> voter fraud and union shenanigans

Debbie, this is going to be a huge problem. I’m sure ACORNy is infiltrating the state with “voters” even as we speak. And Boston’s Black Panthers are, even now, blocking the entrance ways to voting locations. I’m sure union thugs will be intimidating anyone they perceive to be a “teabagger”.

The only way for us to win is an overwhelming majority that can’t be counteracted with with voter fraud and intimidation.

He is pro-abortion. I really hate supporting any pro-abortion candidates BUT his vote will railroad KING HUSSEIN OBAMA on healthcare, amnesty, cap and trade. I guess this vote would be a placeholder until the November election when more Conservative candidates will take hold.

Hey it is spreading to California. Barbara Boxer has only a 3 point lead over Carly Fiorina (a RINO) and only a 6 point lead over Chuck DeVore (true solid Conservative). A Conservative voter revolt may help pass many much Conservative ballot inititative to ultimately fix California’s budget problems.

Yes We Can DEFEAT HUSSEIN OBAMA!!

CaliforniaScreaming on January 17, 2010 at 10:38 am

Brown has voted for parental consent laws in MASS while Coakley was the fanatic who helped underage girls obtain abortions by going to court for a judicial waiver. She even supports partial birth abortion. Massachusetts Right to Life is supporting Brown: “He is not perfect, but she is horrible.”

AliceL. on January 17, 2010 at 10:44 am

Even Cape Cod is embarrassed by Coakley. It is a beautiful section of Massachusetts. Nantucket Island is glorious, It is a shame that the Kennedys have been allowed to run roughshod over it. One year the JFK Museum in Hyannis had a “wall of Teddy”. A few of us objected and I noticed that the next year there were fewer photos of him. I will never understand how the Bay State became so liberal. It is a good sign if Brown is even close but I would love for him to win. Coakley’s comment that “Catholics should not work in emergency rooms” should doom her if the public is paying enough attention in predominantly Catholic Massachusetts. Deval Patrick is a disaster. The people of MASS should be tired of Obama and Patrick by now. I hope Brown bashes Patrick for his incompetency.

AliceL. on January 17, 2010 at 10:42 am

I am donating $50 to try and offset the big dem donors. There are more of us than them and we should play this one for keeps. I didn’t know until recently that he was a vet. He should be a double digit favorite already without the disgust voters have for the dems.

Acting stupidly is the norm for this class of demoncraps, I am eagerly expecting heads to explode on Wednesday morning to the “shock” that massatwosh*ts is reduced to only one sh*tty senator.

One more thing Ms. Schlussel,

Brown wasn’t kicked out of Harvard for paying someone to take his Spanish finals.

JL: Oops. I missed that one. Club Ted cheated and got caught twice doing this stuff in college. DS

Jew Lover on January 17, 2010 at 2:30 pm

Lt. Col. Scott Brown is a breath of fresh air in the corrupt state of, as you said Taxachusetts for Dead Ted’s seat. One of the best moments and what I think pushed him ahead was the arrogant comment, You think you can takeover Ted Kennedy’s seat? It’s not his seat or the Democrat’s seat, its the People’s seat. Brilliant, just brilliant move on his part. He was 9 points behind and after the debate, he pushed ahead. I have family living in Massachusetts. My cousin owns three businesses, 1 in Real Estate, 1 in Building Contracting and 1 in Real Estate developing. He has to have all these businesses so he can pay for the care for my Aunt living in an assistant living facility monthly bill of $10,000 (not included by health insurance). Seeing that the all of those businesses have hit hard times, every month it’s a struggle to meet those challenges. He’s afraid because ObamaCare might become law, and with that his mother and my aunt, who is paralyzed and blind will become the first patient in Massachusetts to come before the Obama death panel.

They were once Democrats (but not very liberal) and he sees this man, Barack Obama as a Narcissistic nightmare. Some of the traits of narcissistic personality disorder is being a pathological liar, a grandiose sense of self-importance, preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love, a sense of entitlement, takes advantage of others to achieve his goals, lacks empathy and compassion and is more apathetic, believes others are envious of him and finally, they shows their arrogance, self-aggrandizing behaviors and/or attitudes.

Granted, those descriptions could fit almost egoistical actors, actresses, directors, writers and most politicians. I’ve always seen how manipulating he is, which is also a trait of Aggressive Narcissism; as well as these other personality traits: Glibness/superficial charm, Grandiose sense of self-worth, Pathological lying, Cunning/manipulative, Lack of remorse or guilt, Shallow affect, Callous/lack of empathy or true compassion, Failure to accept responsibility for own actions.

I’m not a psychologist or a psychiatrist, but I’ve studied how the mind works, and took about 8 Psychology classes in College. I believe what we are witnessing is the typical narcissist in Obama and his self worth. Many of these traits develop in the late teens to early adulthood.

Why I writing this is to forewarn the coming events. If Martha Coakley (another narcissist) loses, expect to see and hear Obama start to panic. When people start to panic, they do desperate things. Coakley has already shown us this when the reporter from National Standard was pushed to the ground.

There will be endless recounts as there were in Minnesota, some absentee ballots will suddenly disappear or appear military votes will most likely won’t be counted and all the other modus operandi that they use. All in the name to delay placing Scott Brown before he can vote against the Healthcare Reform Bill. The more desperate Obama and the Democrats become the more likely the corruption will continue.

Eileen on January 17, 2010 at 3:10 pm

“Brown was critical of President Bush and defended President Obama regarding the current financial crisis.”

Ooooooh, dear.

But then, maybe he’s like Mitt, about as conservative as Mass can produce anymore?

Don’t get caught up in the fight between the two big- government loving candidates – Moakley and Brown.
VOTE FOR JOE KENNEDY.
From the website “The Center for Small Government”:

“Joe Kennedy is the ONLY small government candidate running for this open U.S. Senate Seat.
Joe Kennedy is the ONLY candidate in this race who will vote for dramatically lower federal spending, lower taxes, and a smaller federal government than we have today. He will vote against ALL government bailouts of businesses. Against ALL government stimulus packages. Against ALL unbalanced budgets.
Voting Joe Kennedy is the ONLY way you can get more tax cutting, spending cutting, and small government.
Voting for Joe Kennedy (no relation to the Kennedy clan) may be the only way to prevent the unexpected betrayal: Republican ObamaCare. Can’t believe it could happen? Look at Scott Brown’s proud Massachusetts political love child: RomneyCare. Imagine U.S. Senator Scott Brown proudly taking it federal.
With your vote, small government is possible.”

ramjordan on January 17, 2010 at 5:36 pm

eh, all you folks thinkin’ that The Big O and the various Big Cheeses in Congress have narcissistic personality disorder are quite mistaken.

They are all sociopaths. Having a narcissistic personality is part of being a sociopath, but not the entire picture. The defining points one needs to examine are:
1. Does the subject think that rules of society apply to him/her? (In O’s case, obviously rules are for lesser beings.)

2. Do they have a Conscience? (O doesn’t appear to have one, but then, I may be wrong. Not likely, but possible here.)

2% of the population is projected out to be sociopaths. Dunno how they ALL got elected to public office, but there ya have it.

SLOHomemaker on January 17, 2010 at 5:53 pm

i liked president bush to a point, so i’m pleased he criticised him. bush was not a true conservative; he was strong on national defense and defended the US internationally. however, his fiscal policies and whimpy stance on immigration, not to mention the dubai ports fiasco, were pure leftist/globalist nonsense.

on the other hand, brown praising obama for ANYTHING raises a red flag for sure.

and now to contradict myself: GO SCOTT BROWN!

i was doing some research on Stew Leonard who embezzled 17 million dollars from his Norwalk business/store to st martin and then stumbled on this article that you wrote on la Shish restaurant chain with their headquarters in Michigan that was owned by Talal Shahine that topped Stew Leonard’s by 20 million dollars and was one of the biggest frauds in money laundering, besides this money was send to Lebanon to support the Hezbollah terrorist.
it was us attorney Stephen Murphy a/k/a ” Abu Porno” who delayed the legal proceedings against Talal Shahine for four years and caused this guy to flee the country and is doing his thing now in Lebanon.
It is only people like you Debby that will expose these representatives in our governement, they change their names to blend in and that also goes for the many others that are coming to this country lately , i know of many doctors that all have American names and derived here from the middle East and have no tag as to how sincere or devoted they are in doing good.
i hope that Lt. Col. Scott Brown will be successful in Massachusetts, from what i read and see is that he is a decent person and capable of doing a good job.
as for Martha Coakly and her anterage, this is only one more extension of the Obama administration that we do not need!

iwanowitch on January 17, 2010 at 6:35 pm

Let’s keep in mind the strategy Dems love to employ when things go badly for them, election time. This weapon was pioneered by Al (Hot Air) Gore in 2000, refined by Governor Landrieu, and perfected by Al Franken and numerous others. It’s called the ‘Recount’. With the oodles of dollars at their disposal, these vermin will launch lawsuit after lawsuit until they get their (wo)man in.
Of course, voter fraud has always been their speciality. You can count on that ‘weapon’ too.
Make no mistake, Obama is too unscrupulous to allow pesky constitutional restrictions get in his way. And there’s no one in mainstream media with the integrity and courage to blow the whistle on Democrat skulduggery.
Any suggestions as to how we can counter these dirty tricks would be gratefully appreciated.

P.P. on January 17, 2010 at 7:46 pm

P.P., what we should be using is some non-violent direct action. I do not know why only the progressives can use this technique. In the good old days, we wouldn’t just drop tea in harbors; we would hang the occasional judge.

Update:

I do hope this doesn’t bode ill, as it were, for what we will get with Mr. Brown.

Still, one must have hope, as there are no other options open at this time.

yonason on January 18, 2010 at 2:05 am

No other options, my foot. That’s why this country is going down the drain fast. DO NOT VOTE FOR THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS!!VOTE JOE KENNEDY FOR SENATOR!!
Compare the candidates:

ramjordan on January 18, 2010 at 3:53 am

Unfortunately a vote for Joe Kennedy is a vote for the Democrats. The question of whether to support a somewhat moderate Republican is one that has to be evaluated specifically in the context of each election.

Here, not only does Kennedy have no chance of winning, but there is a concrete problem of stopping Obamacare. A vote for Brown has a good chance of doing that; a vote for Kennedy no chance. There will just be that much more of an uphill climb necessary if Coakley wins.

Ironically, Massachusetts has its own Obamacare, instituted by ‘conservative’ Republican Romney a few years ago. It is interesting that Brown’s support is so high; in a sense it is a verdict on Massachusettscare, and an indication of what Obamacare will not do for the people.

Polls looks good. KING HUSSEIN OBAMA campaigned in Mass yesterday. Like he did in New Jersey and Virginia. The Kiss of Death for any candidate.

I knew Coakely had real problems and a probable loss when Bill Clinton (he stumps, candidates lose) went to her “aid.” President Obama, same thing. It was a bore they got 4,000 people in Boston. Remember during the election of 2008, in Hartford, CT they got that many! President Obama is losing in droves. He is going to lose again.

Good for America!

Yes on all counts.

yonason on January 18, 2010 at 9:56 am

Too bad Lt. Col. Brown is just another RINO. This election just looks like another lesser of two evils vote, or who can do the least amount of damage to the country vote.

Jarhead on January 18, 2010 at 3:07 pm

The notion that a vote for X (Joe Kennedy) is a vote for Y (Moakley) must be put to rest once and for all.
A vote for Kennedy is NOT a vote for Moakley, it is a vote for Kennedy!
This thinking that a vote for X is a vote for Y is exactly the kind of notion that lovers of big-government, socialists, and internationalists would love you to follow because it guarantees that a big-government lover, socialist or internationalist like Moakley or Brown will be elected.
As the article comparing the three candidates says –
http://www.rightcondition.com/2009/12/examining-candidates-for-ma-senate-2010.html

“If you believe the candidate in the first column more accurately reflects your position – then you need to vote for Joe Kennedy.
If you believe the candidate in the second column more accurately reflections your position – then you need to vote for Scott Brown.
If you believe the candidate in the third column more accurately reflections your position – then you need to vote for Martha Coakley.

You do NOT need to vote for the lesser of two evils, nor do you need to vote based on who you believe will or will not win. You must cast your precious vote for the person you believe best deserves your support…No votes are entitled and all votes must be earned.”
