Debbie… your Nigerian geography is incorrect. Abudmuttalab’s father complained to the US Embassy in Abuja. The US consulate is in Lagos. Lagos used to be Nigeria’s federal capital but hasn’t been for a long time. The State Department had information about the visa, they were warned about what might happen and it sat on its hand and did nothing. So Hillary Clinton deserves a major share of the blame for the fact NWA Flt 253 almost came close to disaster.

The big picture is one of systemic failure among all the agencies involved. The State Department should not be in the business of issuing passports and visas. That job should be given to ICE, which would be a logical extension of its existing immigration-security responsibilities. And more needs to be done to ensure federal agencies cooperate on intelligence-sharing and to make sure people who are a threat to this country are kept out. The UK seemed to have no problem barring Abdulmuttalab’s entry – the question is why couldn’t we? If we had, he would never have been able to get on the plane and America would not have suffered another jihad attack at the end of the year.

Hillary should explain why this information was not dealt with in the appropriate way, but was simply ignored. There should be some terminations at the State Department.

One of the primary executives of an education is to ensure that his *subordinate* executives/organizations are working together effectively, and that the normal human characteristics of ambition & territorialism are directed in a way which contributes to rather than detracts from the common good. It’s hard work, and you can’t learn (much of) it in school.

When you elect a President with no executive experience, there’s no reason to think that he’ll be able to effectively perform this function.

First of all KING HUSSEIN OBAMA should have seen this coming since the last time we increased troop levels the terrorist incidents increased. Also along with the UK. So HUSSEIN OBAMA goes halfway on his troop increase in Afghanistan and he should have known that the retaliation was coming. He is so delusional that he thinks everyone around the world is following this pied piper. As for Hillary she probably has no idea visas are under her department. Having said that no one had a fire under their ass to make sure things were run properly.
