No Tears for Bill O’Reilly Or “Law & Order” Cretins: A Pox on Both Their Houses
Bill O’Reilly is upset that “Law & Order” attacked him on last Thursday’s episode. Sorry, I don’t sympathize with him. I only sympathize with Rush Limbaugh, who was also unfairly attacked as causing killings of illegal aliens’ children a/k/a “anchor babies” on the fictional NBC drama.
Why? Well, first of all, what goes around comes around. And here’s a very appropriate equation: Bill O’Reilly = Pot (Kettle + Black). In 2005, Bill O’Reilly, on his failed and now defunct nationally syndicated radio show, defamed the Jews the same way he now claims “Law & Order” defamed him. When Jews were being expelled from their Gaza homes–where Jews lived off and on for thousands of years amidst various enemy conquerors–O’Reilly had this to say about why Jews live there:
They want cheap land. The Jews lived there because it was cheap.
This is the same Bill O’Reilly who is now upset that “Law & Order” dialogue describes him as “like a cancer spreading ignorance and hate.”
Hmmm . . . when you tell your audience that Jews are cheap, is that not “spreading ignorance and hate”?
Yep, let’s hear it for Bill O’Reilly’s repeating old anti-Semitic canards about Jews being “cheap” (even though I’d bet most Jews with his multi-million dollar income give far more to charity than he does). It’s pretty obvious why he’s such a fan of Mel Gibson.
Now, though, I’m supposed to feel sorry that the touchy, thin-skinned, easily-angered FOX News Channel bombast and hypocrite is upset that someone has defamed him. He had no problem defaming a whole people–a whole ethnic group, a whole religion. So, I really have no sympathy for him. Rush, on the other hand, was, indeed, unfairly attacked in the same breath on the “Law and Order” show. But, ever the more classy and brainy specimen by far, Rush refused to comment on it, on his nationally syndicated radio show.
I feel for Rush and secure-borders conservatives, like you and me, who are the real targets of the “Law & Order” episode. It was an attack on all of us who want our borders secure and want illegal aliens out. We do not encourage murder or anything of the sort. We encourage enforcing the immigration laws on the books.
Then, there’s O’Reilly’s claim on his show that “Law & Order” was once a great show. Really? When? I’ve never liked the show. I remember, once at my parents’ home, when my mother insisted on watching it, and my dad dismissed it as “very pretentious and left-wing.” And that was almost two decades ago, when the TV franchise began. My dad was right on target then and right on target now. The show hasn’t changed. It’s always been aimed at dummies who desperately believe they’re smart and highbrow (and gullibly buy into liberal-left politics and outlooks on American life). Bill O’Reilly just discovered America on this? It appears so. And, so, it’s yet another of the many signs we’ve had over the years that he’s one of those dummies who desperately want to believe their brain power is greater than in reality.
The show has always been left-wing and always preachy. It goes after White people and Jews, who are its frequent villains, with Muslims and illegal aliens as its frequently “wrongly accused” and “unfairly villainized.” As I told you last year, “Law and Order” producer Dick Wolf admitted that he limits minority criminals on the show–he specifically cited Blacks and Muslims–to only four or five episodes out of a season of 22-24 episodes long. As I noted then, that’s interesting, since 83% of criminals–esp. 83% of criminals in New York, where the show takes place–are not White people.
That didn’t bother Bill O’Reilly, enough for him to mention it on his show.
And, earlier this year, Wolf told the media in Britain that his “fantasy wish” was to create a “Law and Order” spin-off set in a Muslim country.
That didn’t bother Bill O’Reilly, either.
So, since Bill O’Reilly has never been bothered by “Law and Order” until now–when he’s been personally attacked, I simply can’t be bothered that he’s bothered.
Frankly, one could do a show about either “Law and Order” far-left producer Dick Wolf or his equally unsympathetic, fake conservative counterpart at FOX News channel, Mr. O’Reilly. And, either way, this title would be accurate: “Flaw & Disorder.”

In its early years it was just a crime procedural show that told good crime-solving stories but then it veered into becoming a preachy left-wing political drama disguised as a crime procedural show. And the villains on L&0 and its spin-offs are nothing like real-life villains. To depict real-life crime would be politically incorrect and we can’t have that in Hollywood. (Incidentally, that’s why its having low ratings and looks set to be cancelled after a record 18 seasons.) I don’t much care for Bill O’Reilly’s hypocrisy and the real point isn’t that he was targeted but rather that leftists and liberals practice the censorship of which they accuse the Right. They leave out perspectives and situations that don’t fit into their worldview. They don’t depict the real America in Hollywood movies or for that matter in TV Land.
