Cracked on “Avatar”

By Debbie Schlussel

Not allowed to post my review of “Avatar” until later this week.  But, for now, watch this clever analysis (based only on the trailer) from Cracked (thanks to reader Ari for the tip).

Why not just cough up the $10 so you can post your review when you want and not wait?

B: B/c I’ll still have seen the movie and posted my review before the earliest paid showing of the movie. DS

It appears to be a politically correct re-telling of the Afghan/Iraq Wars from a liberal viewpoint. Guess who the Blue Guys are. The other side allegorically represents us – America. You don’t have to see the movie to know how the last scene ends. There are cliches in Hollywood and then there are cliches.

Last night I saw “Annihilation Earth” on Syfy. The bad guys were Arabs but they were never depicted as engaging in jihad on behalf of Islam. What was believable is Islamists can murder millions of infidels to destroy the world if they can’t impose Islam upon us. These people are in deadly earnest about their objective and the West remains in denial.

The ‘Today’ show happened to be on this morning at the office I work at. I overheard the interview with James Cameron and rolled my eyes a few times…especially when he compared the movie to real life and how greed destroys the environment. What a shocker to hear on NBC. It is so obvious that he is trying to push his far left views on us as “entertainment”. I am sure that one of the soldiers in the movie will be crazy too…just to show how evil the military is. Hey maybe there will be some global warming warnings in the movie…how about free health care for all while he’s at it? The movie just looks annoying.

When is Hollywood going to start making good movies again?

Lately, they all are preachy propaganda feasts and suck.

Looks like a re-hash of The Abyss except above water.
