All Movied Out
I spent the day, today, at what I call movie coma day. As a member of the Detroit Film Critics Society, I spent all day in a dark movie theater watching movies. Trust me, it ain’t fun. Five movies back-to-back. In Gitmo, it would be considered torture. But we have to see them, so that we can vote on this year’s best movies. Every major city has a film critics society, and the studios lobby us to vote for their movies and the actors in them. As I’ve noted, I am also sent a number of DVD movie screeners to watch. I’ll be posting my picks–the nominations I sent as a member of the Detroit Film Critics Society–sometime tomorrow (and my top ten movies of the year list will be posted sometime at the end of December/beginning of January).
For now, here’s what we saw today (stay tuned for my reviews when the respective movies debut). Just remember, I sit through a lotta crap, so you don’t have to. Can you guess which–if any–of these I liked? Also remember, trailers are almost always waaaaay better than the actual movie.

I remember seeing Orson Wells as having a huge head and fat. Must be his High School pic.
