Bombs Away: Hmmm . . . What’s His Name & Religion?

By
An unnamed 23-year-old man from Canton, Michigan–a Detroit suburb near Dearbornistan with a large Muslim population composed primarily of Pakis, er . . . Pakistanis–should be among this year’s candidates for the Darwin awards.
He and his friends created homemade bombs using gunpowder and tennis and ping-pong balls. The unnamed man almost lost one of his hands from an explosion from one of the bombs, Sunday. He and his friends were throwing the bombs onto the road from the side of a truck.
More from the Canton Eagle:

A night of hurling improvised cherry bombs from a pickup truck ended poorly for one Canton resident on Sunday night.
According to Canton Police, a 23-year-old man sought treatment at Oakwood Healthcare Center on Canton Center Road after a Ping-Pong ball filled with a chemical compound exploded in his hand.
Sgt. Rick Pomorski said the man and two friends learned how to make the devices, which were also made using tennis balls, on the Internet.
“Playing with explosives is a very risky behavior,” he said. “It only takes one mistake and you could lose life or limb.”
The injury to the man’s right hand was extensive, said Pomorski, who has encountered this type of incident before.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with this much damage,” he said. “From what we’ve seen, he was lucky it didn’t take his whole hand off.”
The man was lighting wicks on the bombs and throwing them out the passenger side of the truck as it traveled down Lotz Road, between Cherry Hill and Ford roads.
After he was injured, the man’s friends dumped eight unexploded bombs in a roadside ditch and dropped him off at the center for treatment, said Pomorski. The man was later transferred to Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn.
Police later located the devices and called Michigan State Police Bomb Squad, which rendered the bombs safe, he added.
No criminal charges have been filed and no one has been arrested. The Canton Police Department was investigating the incident Monday and planned to send trace elements found in the devices to a laboratory for testing.
Under Michigan law, manufacturing or handling an explosive device without a permit is a misdemeanor subject to a fine of $500 or a maximum jail sentence of 1 year, or both.

One year is not enough for this bozo.
Since Muslim terrorists are generally more clandestine–and occasionally more clever–than that, looking for the best way to hurt the most infidels and not get caught, the man and his buddies might not be Muslims. But who knows? We know how the media generally tries to shield the “Religion of Peace,” from any and all crimes–like the Trolley Square terrorist in Utah, the UNC jeep jihadist in Raleigh, NC, the Seattle Jewish Community Center terrorist, etc., etc., etc., ad nauseam.
Regardless, I would be remiss in not pointing out the large Muslim Paki, er . . . Pakistani population in Canton. After all, I wouldn’t want to disappoint my friends from the deceptively-named, .
His neighbors in Canton certainly deserve to know his name for their own personal safety. And I’ll be following this case.
Like this case, we were never told the names of the men in the nearby Arabic neighborhoods of Dearbornistan and Dearbornistan Heights, last year, who were involved in (see also, ).
So what is this guy’s name and his religion? And that of his friends? Just asking. But how dare I ask.

The story is dated 30 Apr and it says he was transferred to Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, so chances are pretty good that he is still there having his injury tended to while he recovers.
Hospitals can be notoriously (justifiably so) protective of personal privacy, and notoriously, (un-justifiably so) lacsidaisical in security. There has to be someone in, or near, Dearborn that has the curiousity to take a peak about the Hospital, maybe even chat up a Nurse, Orderly, or visitor. Who wouldn’t appreciate a visitor bearing flowers, or a basket of fruit?

I’m sure it was the lone white guy in Canton Michigan that was guilty of this horrendous act. After all, whites are a subverted minority, and you know that being a minority is reason enough to be a victim.

chucker on May 1, 2007 at 3:45 pm

Pakis, er … Pakistanis
HAHAHAHA Debbie, I LOVE YOU!
We must not jump to conclusions now. I’m sure he’s a white Christian or Jewish guy. We know that Jews and Christians are just as likely to blow things up… NOT.

cinerx on May 1, 2007 at 8:55 pm

“But how dare I ask”? Wouldn’t want to offend the Religion of the Perpetually Offended. How dare you look at what we do. Lower your eyes as we pass by.

John Cunningham on May 2, 2007 at 4:12 am

OMG, just went back to the article, he’s 23, not a juvenile. Lack of a picture and name speaks volumes. Here in Philadelphia some groups were offended by the never ending pictures of crimminals. Well, we’re not stupid, by not showing the picture you’re showing us ‘who’ it was.

John Cunningham on May 2, 2007 at 4:19 am

Nothing like a little ignorant racism to prove how “American” you are, hey, debbie? Tim McVeigh, that great white Christian American, comes to mind as someone who would never knowingly blow things up, right? You embarrass yourself and all real Americans with this hateful, racist garbage, but that seems to be the methodology of you losers. Losers, yes, losers. You’re done, and your coward-in-chief fratboy deserter is done. Your “regulars” seem to be sharing one very small brain among them, probably yours, since you’re not using it.

ronjazz on May 2, 2007 at 1:50 pm

Yes, ronjazz, one crazy, racist, white guy speaks volumes. They love trotting out Timothy McVeigh. “You have Timothy McVeigh”. One dead, crazy, racist, white guy.

I gather that Media Matters is supposed to be Nazi funded because it gets money from George Soros. Ignoring for a moment the detail that Soros actually doesn’t fund Media Matters, you give the man rather a lot of credit for precosity in implying that he was a supporter of the Reich. He was all of 15 at the end of World War II.
By the way, I don’t think it is entirely fair of Salon to include Debbie Schlussel on its list of right wing sites. Other conservatives can justly complain that you have picked out an extraordinarly stupid and hateful site, perhaps in order to imply they are all certifiable.

I’ll make you a bet Debs. I say this feller is more likely into NASCAR, has a Cat Hat, enjoys a twelver of Bud Lite nightly, and likes the chaw.
Jihadi or Dumd Ass Hick?
You make the call!

cehbeach on May 2, 2007 at 2:35 pm

Yep, Debs that’s it we should start roundin’ em up now. You left out the part where they were only throwing those bombs at the cars with the yellow license plates with the star of David on them, they make ALL the Jews in Canton, Dearborn and a couple of other spots that the Muzzies have captured in our CHRISTIAN country, we tolerate Jews we have too for now any way BTW Debs what church do you go to

patx77 on May 2, 2007 at 2:59 pm

Before any of trogs get going about Antisemitism I know Debs is a Jew so am I. I thought we’d dodged the bullet with Ann the man but then along comes Debs

patx77 on May 2, 2007 at 3:03 pm

“Canton, Michigan–a Detroit suburb near Dearbornistan”. Really? Canton is about 15 miles away from Dearborn. A range that includes pretty much the entire Detroit/Windsor area from Royal Oak, to Grosse Isle, to Grosse Pointe. Canton is also the the last of the big suburbs of Detroit and the beginning of farm country…although every year there is less farm country and more suburb. When I grew up in Canton more than half of the city was farmland…now only the far western edge towards Ypsilanti is. Now there is a large immigrant population, but I always thought it was more Indian than “Paki”…(which IS an insult no matter how many times you deny it.)
Are you ready to get this excited about every “crime” involving unnamed persons involved in dropping cherry bombs from their pickup trucks (pickup trucks!) in the entire Detroit area?
Having read some of your blog, I’m guessing that you are.

A week after Cho I asked Debbie why NASA would hire a Muslim to be an engineer. After all, only Muslims kill people.
Still no answer from Debbie.
Off topic, but just as humorous:
Newt says violent video games are to blame for actions like Cho’s.
Get it? Guns don’t kill people, video games with virtual guns kill people.
The hilarity never stops with the right-wing.

Robert on May 2, 2007 at 4:15 pm

please provide proof that media matters is funded by nazi’s. real proof. not horowitz’s, or or’reilly’s inane rants…proof.
THE PROOF IS GEORGE SOROS’ REPEATED COMMENTS ON “60 MINUTES” AND PBS THAT HE ENJOYED ROUNDING UP JEWS AND SENDIND THEM TO THEIR DEATHS AS A NAZI “APPRENTICE.” NEXT, YOU’LL BE ASKING: PLEASE PROVIDE PROOF THAT UNFROZEN WATER IS A LIQUID.
DEBBIE SCHLUSSEL

jay k. on May 2, 2007 at 4:46 pm

uh…no, because it might just as well be vapor. and you still haven’t provided nazi’s are funding media matters. do you have something factual to say, or are you simply spewing b.s.?

jay k. on May 2, 2007 at 5:19 pm

I’m a mechanical engineer and a number of my friends did really dumb things when we were young. One guy even blew up a number of toilets at his school.
Driving around in rural areas with ping pong ball explosives does sound dumb and dangerous, but not terrorist related.
My guess is, if the idiot that did this was Muslim and/or foreign, it would already be claimed as yet another terrorist attack thwarted by Homeland Security, that fact that “terrorism” IS NOT mentioned, makes it sound like a bunch of dumb guys goofing off.
If this turns out to be a white Christian boy (possibly drunk), will we have to suspect all those types in the future?

Wow. I feel like I stumbled across some Hate Porno. I need to go shower now…

What’s next, sparklers?

circlethewagons on May 3, 2007 at 2:03 am

um…actually water in it’s gaseous stage is vapor. droplets of liquid water suspended in air is mist. and you still haven’t backed up your claim that nazi’s are funding media matters. i guess having a blog doesn’t mean you have anything of value to say. maybe salon should have a column for left-leaning blogs, a column for the right-leaning blogs,, and a column for blogs that are just plain farcical.

jay k. on May 3, 2007 at 8:16 am

Funny, this incident happened about 1-2 miles north of a mosque. Isn’t anyone in the law enforcement community taking this seriously? Oh I forgot, that would be racial profiling and we can’t do that, can we.

paperlion on May 3, 2007 at 10:32 am

Canton Mi, is not near Dearborn. To drive from Canton to Dearborn, by the most direct route, you pass through Inkster, a long term (45 years) predominately Black suburb of Detroit and other Detroit suburbs. Canton is as close to Ypsilanti, home of Eastern Michigan University, and Ann Arbor, ome of University of Michigan, as Dearborn.
So all of the talk about Pakistanis and Muslims is irrelavant. Don’t believe the hype.

Nardwilly on May 3, 2007 at 10:36 am

So, Debbie – *when* it turns out the guy is some dumb white kid, and not Pakistani, and not even a Muslim, will you devote an entire article to correcting this wrong and apologizing to the Pakistani community and Muslims at large?
I’m reminded of your earlier hysteria about Cho, and wondering if his murders were “because” he was a Muslim. Turns out his religion was Christianity. Whoops! Hey, maybe people aren’t psycho because of their religion. Maybe they’re just freaking psychos. Maybe we can’t just stay safe by relying on stereotypes, because maybe life isn’t that simple.
Just so you know, I am a honky Christian. It’s just that formless hysteria of total bogeymen really disturbs me. It keeps us from solving real problems about real killers. And you are contributing to this difficulty with your hysteria.

metasailor on May 3, 2007 at 2:33 pm

“uh…no, because it might just as well be vapor.”
Nice. I love chemistry. Almost got my degree.
And for the record, Soros did not round up Jews to be sent to their deaths as a Nazi apprentice. He helped confiscate their property when he was 14 years old–he was posing as a Christian and did it to survive. Abhorrent perhaps, but he wasn’t a member of the SS. He is actually a Jew himself. And that doesn’t make him a Nazi now. Whoever heard of a Nazi Jew?

Russell on May 4, 2007 at 2:16 am

First of all Debbie, your media is well known to be mostly under Jewish control and as we all know the Jews hate the Muslims (for money reasons). They never have any issues broadcasting the misdeeds of Muslims even when the religion has nothing to do with the story. They never seem to bring up a criminal’s religion unless it is an unpopular and misunderstood religion like Islam. So, if that guy had been a Muslim, I’m sure your Muslim hating media would have said something about it.
If some of you had half a brain (Debbie) you’d know that fundamentalist Islam is a political tool used to cow and control people. In judging the entire Muslim world by a few very rich freaks, you’re playing right into their hands and making it ok for people to make similar assumptions about other religions such as Judaism. Is every Jew a money grubbing, world bank controlling Rothschilde? Is every German a minority burning Hitler wannabe? You (Debbie) seem to fit that bill considering your misinformed redneck spin on all things. When was the last time you burned a cross you psycho?
BTW here’s a list of officially recognized CHRISTIAN TERRORIST GROUPS:
Army of God
God’s Army
Nagaland Rebels
National Liberation Front of Tripura
Phineas Priesthood
National Democratic Front of Bodoland
Irish National Liberation Army
Irish Republican Army
Official IRA
Provisional Irish Republican Army
Sinn FÈin
Continuity Irish Republican Army
Real Irish Republican Army
(Under Debbie’s reasonning, doesn’t it seem like all Irish could be considered terrorists?)
The Covenant, The Sword, and the Arm of the Lord
Maybe next time I’ll post some Jewish terrorist organizations since Debbie is too ignorant and narrowminded to do the research herself.
