The “Heroes” of Conservative Desperation; Plus HILARIOUS Video: Hannity & Prejean
The current crop of conservative “heroes” shows conservatives’ level of desperation in the Obama era. And it’s pathetic.
Carrie Prejean, Lou Dobbs, Linda McMahon:
If These Are Conservative “Heroes,” There Is No Conservatism
Instead of taking advantage of the Obama morass and elevating great conservative thinkers who espouse family values AND conservative free market values, the lumpenconservatariat has latched onto bimbos, empty vessels, and even liberals, who espouse a single value or two that conservatives like. There’s a difference between coalitions and mergers. And it’s dangerous that so many on the right can’t see the difference to save their lives . . . or save their movement.
I’m not talking about real conservatives candidates like Doug Hoffman who nearly won a Congressional seat by espousing real conservatism. I like him, and we need more like him. It’s too bad he lost, and maybe things will turn out differently in the next election for the New York 23 Congressional seat. I’m talking about people like sex tape and nude photo star Carrie Prejean, liberal Lou Dobbs, and TV garbage magnatrix Linda McMahon.

Carrie Prejean’s Smug Hypocrisy on Larry King Live . . .
Let’s start with Dobbs, since so many conservatives are claiming he left CNN abruptly, last night, because the liberal cable network wouldn’t let him be a “conservative.” Please get something clear. Lou Dobbs is NO conservative. I know from personal experience, when we both appeared on the–thankfully!–now-defunct Montel show, and Dobbs viciously attacked me because I didn’t support nationalized healthcare. And in his resignation, last night, he pimped “climate change.” That’s conservative? PUH-LEEZE.
Dobbs was good on two issues and two issues only: He was on the right side of the illegal alien debate and the Dubai Ports deal. But other than that, he remained what he always was and what gave him his start at CNN: uber-liberal Ted Turner’s close friend and advisor. And even on the illegal alien issue, he later had utter failure, former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) chief, Julie Myers, on his show as an “expert,” gushing over her like a slobbering dog. If you make Dobbs your hero, you haven’t been paying attention.
The conventional wisdom guessing game has Dobbs going to FOX News or FOX Business Channel. I’m skeptical that will happen–and because he’s a fake, I hope it doesn’t. I doubt CNN would let him out of his contract to go help the competition, which is already trouncing the network. That’s not CNN’s way, even if it is FOX News’ way to poach lesser talents like Greta Van Susteren and transform them into empresses with no clothing.
Then, there is Linda McMahon. Right now, she is the “conservative” candidate whom tea party attendees and others have chosen as their Connecticut candidate against GOP mainstream-backed Senate candidate, former Rep. Rob Simmons. That’s a very sad development. Mrs. McMahon made her fortune as the chief executive officer of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). In case you’ve lived on another planet–and tea party conservatives have not–WWE for the last two decades has pimped America’s kids on trash and vile open sexuality. But, hey, she’s wealthy and is now suddenly a “conservative.” If this is the tea party choice–and she is–it’s pathetic. It tells us that conservatives are so desperate to win, they’ll embrace anyone. So gullible, so foolish that they deserve what they get.
And of course, that’s not news. Former Miss California USA, Carrie Prejean, is Exhibit A of conservative desperation and willingness to drop all principle in favor of an urge. It’s no biggie to conservatives that she repeatedly lied about nude photos she willingly took not too long ago. It’s no biggie to conservatives that she blamed the photos she willingly took on the wind and the photographer she hired to take them. Yup, taking personal responsibility–I guess that’s no longer a conservative value. Good to know. It’s no biggie that Prejean made a sex tape and, of course, has an excuse for that, too. What–pray tell–makes this woman any different from Paris Hilton, who is at least more honest about what she’s about?
I’m no fan of Larry King, but Prejean’s smug, arrogant response that he was “inappropriate” when he asked about her masturbation sex tape–the reason she had to settle her frivolous lawsuit against the Miss California USA people–is the indignance of a hypocrite and a cowardly fraud. In her book, Prejean whines that Donald Trump divided the Miss USA contestants into groups based on looks. Wow, a woman who is a contestant in a beauty pageant is upset that women are divided based on their looks. Helloooo . . . .?
Yet, the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute–a conservative women’s organization that claims to espouse family values–made this idiotette one of their calendar girls. Not a surprise, since in the past the organization made plagiarist Monica Crowley–who stole an article by historian Paul Johnson and presented it as her own in a Wall Street Journal article–one of its calendar girls of women America should admire. Michelle Malkin, who constantly claims to oppose the sexualization of children and society, didn’t seem to have a problem posing for the calendar with Ms. Nudie Personal Responsibility. Isn’t this the same conservative columnist who wrote a column against the bleeped out words on “The Osbornes,” but had no problem with a high school principal who made girls lift up their skirts to see if they were wearing thong underwear? Yes, hypocrites are never consistent. And they even pose with porn stars. And they’re in the conservative movement, too.
At least, a Republican group in New Jersey had the guts and the decency Malkin and the Luce gang didn’t. They canceled Prejean from an event at the last minute. Another fraud, Sean Hannity, like the other conservatives, though, bought Prejean’s baloney hook, line, and sinker.
Prejean’s book about what a religious Christian she is and how she’s like Ann Coulter–a hilarious comparison–is called, “Still Standing,” which is kind of interesting because I believe when you make a sex tape starring only yourself, you’re doing it lying down. But gullible conservatives are buying her fertilizer by the gallon, helping her book rank in the top thousand books on Amazon.com as I write this.
Yes, Prejean kinda sorta said the right thing–sort of–when she said she supports “opposite marriage,” when asked about gay marriage by gay blogger Perez Hilton at the Miss USA pageant. But let’s be clear, her answer tried to ride both sides of the fence. She started out by saying, “That’s the great thing about America, that you can choose” between gay marriage and “opposite marriage.” But that’s not the great thing about America, and those of us who are against recognizing same-sex unions as legal marriage don’t support that. But since she ended the answer by saying that she personally believes that marriage is between a man and a woman, suddenly she’s the new conservative savioratrix.
With this brainless woman’s defecation all over personal responsibility, the family values she claims to espouse while doing sex tapes and nudie shots, about the only thing conservative or “religious” is her shameless devotion to capitalism. She selling horsecrap and our aimless, leaderless movement is buying it.
But you know who the purest capitalists are? Prostitutes. And many in the conservative movement, while turning on a dime to embrace bimbos and phonies, have shown themselves to be even bigger whores than Carrie Prejean.

I do wonder why we don’t have better candidates. The older I get (and I”m almost 50 now), the more I suspect that pretty much everyone’s got skeletons tucked away, and out side wants something that doesn’t seem to exist– a clean, demonstrably untarnished candidate who can survive the media anal exam.
I know I have skeletons. NEver even considered running, although I suspect I’d make a perfectly useful conservative pol at some level or other. But I refuse to put my family through that process. Our side is made up predominantly of people who have tried the lefty conscience-free life and ‘recovered’ from it to become better people… but the paper trail is there.
It’s one sided and nasty. But it is what it is.
That said, there is much good that is going on in our party regarding future stars, candidate choices, etc.
