“And I Was Like . . .”: NBC News Education Reporter / Teacher CAN’T Speak English
Last night, I accidentally clicked my remote to NBC’s G-d-awfully boring “Jay Leno Show.” When it was announced that Jenna Bush Hager, stupid, partying, Obama-voting, liberal daughter of former President Bush and now NBC “Today” show education “reporter,” was going to be on, I decided to tune in to see what stupidity this public school teacher was going to put forth. And she didn’t disappoint. The chick CANNOT speak English.
OMG, NBC News Education Reporter Jenna Bush Hager “Like” CAN’T Speak English
Remember that this woman is not only a publick skool teacher, but also the “Today” show’s edyookayshun reporter. And yet, she punctuated her interview with, “And she was like . . . ,” “And I was like . . . ,” “And he was like . . . ,” “And my mom was like . . . .” Like, like, like. An interview with this chick makes the script of “Mean Girls” sound downright Shakespearean. Attention, Jenna, I believe the word you were looking for was that high-flown English word, “said.” Apparently, a University of Texas degree doesn’t require the inclusion of that in a future teacher’s vocabulary.
And we wonder why kids come out of public school as illiterate ignoramuses who can’t speak proper English.
Yup, NBC News’ new education correspondent can’t speak English beyond the Moon-Unit Zappa Valley Girl stage. Ms. “was like like’s” interview begins at about 16:51 in the video, below.

With the skyrocketing cost of a college education, one of the things it doesn’t buy you these days apparently is decent grammar. My mother forced to learn a new language when I was settled in this country. Am I glad I did. Don’t parents pay any attention to how their kids speak and write these days? Its makes me shudder to see what the likes of Jenna Bush Hager are inflicting upon our next generation.
