“JonBenet” Suri Cruise: Startin’ ‘Em Young

By Debbie Schlussel

Is it just me . . . or is there something very wrong about a three-year-old regularly wearing high heels (and I’m not talking wearing Mommy’s shoes for “dress-up”)?

It’s not just yet another sign of American kids growing up too fast and not having a childhood.  Some Americans in Hollywood haven’t learned that dressing up your young daughters like adult women makes them targets of child molesters and other sick predators.

By “some Americans,” I mean Tom Cruise and his wife, Katie Holmes Cruise.  They have all the money in the world and the means to shield their daughter and give her a good life.  But they’re so interested in ridiculous trends, they’ve dressed their three-year-old daughter, Suri, in silver, open-toed heels that look like a miniature version of shoes for adult women (and cross-dressers).  It’s not just absurd.  It’s disgusting.  It’s like a bad real-life version of “Bugsy Malone.”  Or, maybe, “TomKat” (as the couple is nicknamed), too, approve of the Roman Polanski 13-year-old girl way of life and they’re preparing their kid for the revved-up life cycle.

From Us Magazine, which thinks the heels on a three-year-old are great (“Mommy’s little fashionista!”):

Fashion Accessories Roman Polanski Would Love

And sadly, as Hollywood goes, so goes the nation.  Get ready for three-year-old girls across America with premature bunion and foot development problems.

Not only is it a pedophile’s dream, it’s also great for podiatrists looking to expand their patient demographic.

Maybe because Katie is tall, she would prefer Suri wear the heels so it’ll be easier to hold her hand when walking.

Then you might as well not have girls wear skirts since little boys like to look under them or pull them up and pull down the panties.

    Do you do that?

As I said yesterday, and will say again tomorrow, society is sexualizing children.

Shameful, really terribly shameful. That child doesn’t have a chance… Makes me wonder about God sometimes….

goldenmike4393 on October 1, 2009 at 12:46 pm

There is FAR too much focus on one child. Three years is a long time to go between children in a normal family. There should be other babies on the way by now.

Debbie!! You are 100% Right on this one also!!
Maybe Tom Cruise could get some parenting tips from Brooke Shields?? Or Jodie Foster??

Phil B on October 1, 2009 at 1:30 pm

I agree with you on this but sometimes I feel for the parents. I am not a parent but if you don’t push your child to be straight so many of my friends kids end up being emos, homos, or freaks. There is so much influence on children to be whore, gay or freak I can see why parents want to little girls not to be little dykes. I have friends that make sure their girls get into cheer or dance and their boys play sports. If they don’t, they hang around the other kids whose liberals kids think it is ok to be gay. Who flipping wants their girl to turn into a sagging baggy jean, wife-beater shirt wearing, sports bra, testosterone injecting, high top wearing, male boxer underwear shopping freak? For them I can see why they want to push their children to be girly girls.

meant “liberal parents” not “liberal kids”

Not the world’s greatest picture of Tom up there. It looks like he’s sporting a pair of moobs.

Hey I’ve seen worse on a little girl. About 2 months ago walking to the market…I’ve seen a cute little latino girl wear…low-rise jeans. It was disgusting, and it screamed “rape me now!”. That poor girl’s innocence is being thrown out for the sake of being “relevant”.

Debbie this whole scenario reminds me of the Jaycee Dugard episode. Has anybody tried communicating with Katie Holmes?

A1 on October 1, 2009 at 10:08 pm

Debbie I totally agree with the comments about inappropriate sexualization. 110%. However the bunion comments are silly and innacurate. I always had good and age appropriate shoes but I not only have bunions since childhood, I have flat feet and “accessory navicular bones” that basically means a lump of bone in the arch area that grinds up against the arch bones. Ouch!
Please don’t distract from an important point with such irrelevance.
The message is that women who think they can wear anything anyplace anytime are naive if not downright stupid.

Feminism can try to deny biology but men and women are different. A man who has rage issues against women will be inflamed by displays of super femininity and will “act out” sexually i.e. rape. In isolated incidents of assault, as opposed to war/terrorist acts, a victim will be chosen by the way she is perceived even if her intentions are “innocent” and she thinks she has “rights.” Sorry, but that’s the way it is.

sick and blind, or blind and twisted…

I’m guessing the young girl will have a long ways to go before being “Clear” in Tom’s religion.

so sad really, just sad. this reminds me of chinese abuse of women’s feet.

I can see why the Hollywood crowd does not think that what Roman Polanski did was of much importance.

Sorrow01 on October 3, 2009 at 7:14 pm

Roman Polanski has many labels. You can associate any two together: pedophile, French director, Jew.

Is he a liberal? I have no idea. He did not share his view on family value as Mark Sanford did.

You are absolutely right.

I hate when people miss the obvious: even one unconfortable pair of shoes can cause bunions! High heel may look cool and sexy worn by adults, but you must remember that childs’ feet are groving fast and in this case in WRONG POSITION! It’s not just about sexuality, be reasonable! What kind of parents want to cause permanent feet bone deformities to their offspring!
For example I had only one pair of wrong shaped shoes in my childhood and my big toes are regularly causing really bad trouble and pain! It’s really affecting my every day life..running even with good sneakers on is hard without silicone support between toes and I’d love to go hiking in the Lapland.. quess I need to go see orthopedist first. This really sucks!

sanatat on October 4, 2010 at 10:18 am

oh look, a tiny hooker. training them young so they go to a sex predator without any of that messy police report and child abuse advocacy

linda murphy on September 13, 2011 at 11:19 am

To start with… it was Suri the one that “forced” her parents to let her wear heels.
even when wearing flats she walked as if she wore heeled shoes. as hard to believe as it may be wearing actual heels is better than having the girl fake it by walking on her toes. at least wearing LOW heels the parents can compromise. she wears heels but aren’t excessively high.
second: don’t get yourself fooled. no study has ever given definite proof that walking on heels damages the feet or the legs. there’s a lot of studies that give what they consider proof of it and the same amount of studies that give what they consider proof of the opposite. none has given any solid proof of anything.
third: it’s false. dressing a little girl in sexy clothes doesn’t attract pedophiles. mostly because pedophiles look for cute childish girls so dressing them in adult looking clothes is the opposite of what they want. (of course conservative people wouldn’t accept this fact ever even if reasoned and given proof of it) by the way, believe it or not 90% of the child abuse cases come from people close to the victim so clothing has nothing to do with it.

and finally an absolute truth that all studies about it agree. wearing completely flat shoes damages the feet. if you don’t believe it just look at men’s shoes. they have a bit of heel. why? because it gives a more natural feet posture. the only reason we walk on the entire of the feet when barefoot is to keep balance on two legs. no four legs animal does? why? because they can keep balance without it. but with heeled shoes we can keep balance easily while keeping our feet on it’s natural position.

and I wouldn’t wish to end this message without giving direct reply to sanatat and linda murphy.

sorry Sanatat but what decides if a pair of shoes damage the feet is not the heel but the proper sizing of the shoe. a too small (or too narrow) flat shoe will be a lot more damaging than a properly sized heeled shoe.

and Linda if wearing heels means you are a hooker we should think that most women are. even the wifes of the most conservative politicians have worn heels at public events. would you say they were dressed like hookers too? if not what’s the difference with Suri?
