Desperate Housewife’s “Occupied America”: Actress Pimps America-Hatred

By Debbie Schlussel

Hey, you know who hates America?  Eva Longoria Parker, that’s who.  At least, the reading choices she promotes on national broadcast TV seem to indicate it.

evalongoriaoccupiedamerica

Eva Longoria Parker’s “Occupied America”

The “Desperate Housewives” star–whom America made rich beyond her wildest dreams–was interviewed on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” last night.  For some strange reason, the Kimmel show–which usually posts video of interviews on YouTube–hasn’t posted video of this one.

During the interview, Longoria Parker–who has already come out in favor of ObamaCare (saying America is racist against minority children without it) and amnesty for illegal aliens–disclosed that she is getting a Masters Degree in Chicano Studies via online courses, “so I can be educated and have a background in my activism in the Latino community.”  She also told Kimmel,

Yeah, I lost my book.  And I had everyone on “The Desperate Housewives” set looking for my copy of “Occupied America.”

Um, is America “occupied”? Well, only if you buy into in the Aztlan reconquista baloney spouted by Rodolfo F. Acuna in “Occupied America: A History of Chicanos,” which has a “Stop Reagan:  Public Enemy of the Poor” sign on the cover of one of its recent editions. The book is one of the most anti-American, anti-non-Latino books in existence. And sadly, it’s the textbook for many Latinos around America, educating them to–like Longoria Parker–hate America from within. A friend of mine–a former Communist Party member–notes:

The author is the same Rudy Acuna who teaches (or once taught) at Cal State Northridge, he is a Communist Party member. I am talking real live member, not a sympathizer or confidante.  Rudy used to brag at meetings how he used his platform as a teacher to propagandize.

Acuna hates America, and his book is a one-sided demonization of Americans throughout American history. You know the drill. If Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton wrote a history book of America, it would be the same drivel.

Here are just a few reviews from Amazon.com, to clue you in on what this ingrate diva is approvingly telling America she’s reading and studying:

R. York:

The author of this book is a liar for one, and two he absolutely hates Americans and America. He is very bias and has nothing good to say about anybody in America, a history book should not be so prejudice.

Example: During the 50’s Catholic churches would have English classes to teach Mexican immigrants English so that they could better themselves and get better jobs. The author accused them of trying to rape the Mexicans of there culture and assimilate them. How can you blast someone for trying to help?

Don’t buy this book unless you have too as I did for a Class.

***

DRYWASHER-BILL:

R Acuña’s treatise of Mexican Americans (now called Chicanos or Pochos) includes what many would call ‘the Underside of American History’ (search title). The fact is, America waged war against the Mexicans, using many of the same methods that we now accuse those of Iraq or Bosnia of using, and differs little from the ‘ethnic cleansing or genocide of the modern world. In school, most US Americans are given a glossed-over summary of key US propaganda regarding the history lessons that politicians want people to know, rather than an objective, ‘tell-it-like-it-is/was’ history that encompasses true social responsibility.

The wars waged against the mostly poor mexican countrymen, living in Mexican territory, under siege from an offensive US American anglo army, parallel little of the ‘good american’ reputation widely distributed today. The author, in his extensive research, pulls up countless accounts of slaughter, rape, torture, mutilation, and abuse of mexican men, women, children, mostly incited as a sort of blood sport by American cavalry, enlisted men, volunteers, and associates, as well as the leveling of Mexican cities and towns just for target practice. To add to the war crimes, most of the Americans involved, even the command of Zachary Taylor, were never brought up on any charges, nor even in the most slightest way, reprimanded for their actions. Of course, if the truth were known by many, or the school kids of today taught the real truth, Perhaps people would have an entirely different view of what America Wants vs. what America will do to get it.

***

A Customer:

It’s amazing that a book so biased, and based on multicultural group-think name-calling, can be taken seriously at all. From the comfort of a tenured chair (how terribly “oppressed” the author is), the author dribbles out subjective drivel that aims to build the self esteem of his own group-think coterie–not to encourage rational, objective scholarship. The “we are good, you are evil” theme is getting very boring and tiresome for many people. Get over it.

***

Cosmogus:

What Acuna talks about in this vast overview is very true and enlightening. However, it purports to be a history book, and all great history books must be objective. Unfortunately, by being a textbook for a discipline that calls for a very narrow minded view of history (namely, that of the Chicano exploitation by the United States), it cannot possibly be objective. Acuna resorts to name-calling and demonizing those who oppressed Chicanos and although it is deserved, in a history text slandering is verbotem if the text is to be respected. What this book amounts to is a one-sided argument, although in all fairness the other side would have to be the “official” US history that academia has forced on us.

Hmmm . . . with Eva Longoria pimping America-hatred and Ashley Judd hosting a classmate minstrel show at Harvard, it’s time to flunk these airhead actresses out of grad school. Just shut up and act.

I’m currently reading a book about ancient Athenian culture, and the Athenian Senate had a process whereby a citizen could be booted out of Athens, if that person did not adhere to or follow Athenian ideals and principles, essentially being un-Athenian.

America, love it or get kicked out!

Rick on September 16, 2009 at 11:52 am

If America is occupied why doesn’t she move back to Mexico. Maybe she could convince the drug cartels to be decent and loving. I am sure they would love her and protect her.
Amazing how she takes Yankee money isn’t it? I would not take the money of the occupier if I had somewher else to go.

cando on September 16, 2009 at 12:04 pm

It’s tough having to live with the pee-ons of this world when you’re of THE RACE, LA RAZA, right Eva?

She is born so superior. Yeah, right.

goldenmike4393 on September 16, 2009 at 12:05 pm

There must be some points to be had in Hollywood for radical chic nowadays. Raises the question: does Tony Parker, the Frenchman raking in tens of millions of gringo dollars, feel the same way about the country? Of course, I wouldn’t count on any of those airhead sports reporters to ask the question.

In any case, EL’s almost done. Getting too old. This must be a last ditch attempt to become a “serious” actress before the sag really sets in.

adam on September 16, 2009 at 12:12 pm

I saw the racism of the grossly untalented Longoria-Parker surface during the first year of “Housewives”, when she was a guest on Jimmy Kimmell; a racial joke about the storyline about the White teenage lawn cutter having an affair with her character, saying something to the effect of “it’s about time the Whites are the lawn workers and the Mexicans are in the mansions”. Plus her appearances on various Black and Hispanic “award” shows.

Phineas on September 16, 2009 at 12:32 pm

She’s as dumb as a post. I am Mexican and I loathe those who make my people look so foolish. Are these people, who have been so blessed and lauded by the US, really that stupid or simply overwhelmingly intellectually dishonest? Grrr!

Nora on September 16, 2009 at 12:33 pm

I still believe Reagan was the greatest president of the 20th century, but he did sign the Immigration Reform and Control Act in 1986 to make 3 million illegal aliens citizens of the U.S. I wholeheartedly disapproved of this, but why don’t these ingrate illegals mention that? At least he gave these poor illegals a chance at the American dream.

Just to make it extremely clear, I DO NOT SUPPORT AMNESTY. We should deport all illegals, including the ones that Reagan helped to become citizens.

Jarhead on September 16, 2009 at 1:20 pm

WELL SOUNDS LIKE SHES GOOD FOR LARAZA AND NOT GOOD FOR AMERICA.IF THESE PEOPLE THAT WAVE THE MEXICAN FLAG? SUPPORT LA RAZA?AND SO PROUD OF THEIR RACE WHY BRING IT TO U.S.A.?GO BACK TO MEXICO AND IMPROVE IT ACCOMPLISH THIS AT LEAST.DONT RAG ON A COUNTRY BUILT BY ALL RACES. JUST LOOK AT YOUR MEXICO PITIFUL RIGHT THINK ABOUT IT. A REAL AMERICAN>>>NOT A PRETENDER>>>>

garyrose on September 16, 2009 at 2:02 pm

Idiotic. No wonder so many hate mexicans in general. Fortunately not all of us identify ourselves with the hateful “la raza” stuff.

Luis from Mexico on September 16, 2009 at 2:22 pm

Hey Luis – I’ve got some more ideas on how we can deport the illegal aliens in the U.S. Wanna hear?

For every 18 wheeler or other types of trucks that come into the U.S. from Mexico, we make them sign an agreement that when they return to Mexico, they take a truckload of illegals back with them. If it is determined at the border that they are not carrying enough illegals, we make the truckers go to the nearest prison. There should be plenty of them in lock up to fill their trucks.

Jarhead on September 16, 2009 at 3:16 pm

I just stopped taking you seriously.

      sorrow01 on September 17, 2009 at 3:35 am

Why is it that according to people like Mrs. Longoria, America is always racist towards minorities in one way or another? Of course her solution will be that America won’t be racist any longer when minorities run America and the white Europeans that built it, won’t have any say on anything. Isn’t that really where it’s headed with these people. Afterall, when exactly is that blissfull state of equality reached? How is it to be measured, when people like Mrs. Longoria stop whining?

Bobby on September 16, 2009 at 3:09 pm

What Eva fails to mention (due to Chicanos keeping this quite)
is that Apaches HATED MEXICANS!
The Mexican government issued a bounties on Apache scalps.
Aren’t Mexicans sweet?
(Mexicans love to attack whites due to Indian deaths.)
Apaches thought Americans were stupid giving Mexico $15 million
for land that didn’t belong to them. (Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo)
Eva is full of it. She should move back to Mexico if she loves her nationality so much. We don’t need her here.

Geronimo hated Mexicans all his life because Mexican soldiers
murdered his entire family!
Read it here:
http://www.ibiblio.org/ebooks/Geronimo/GerStory.htm#p17

This is what Geronimo thought of Mexican men:
Geronimo (American Apache Indian)

“I think it must be true that something in the food they eat of the water they drink turns the marrow of Mexican men’s bones to jelly as soon as they become men. Captive Meixcan women fit very well into our tribe, as do children if taken young enough. The men do little except tremble with fear, and that is why it is better to kill than capture them”

Diane on September 16, 2009 at 3:37 pm

Hey Eva Parker, haven’t you been successful in America?

KansasGirl on September 16, 2009 at 4:29 pm

Jarhead,

It seems that Obama is acomplishing more in that field than you could even in your wildest dreams. Yesterday I read that Mexican emigration to the US is down 52%. Make your own rationalizations for that.

And the truck issue… gringos are really shameful protectionists when they find themselves in the losing end of the deal. Talk about two-faced hypocrats.

Luis from Mexico on September 16, 2009 at 4:44 pm

Luis – that is great news. Down 52% is a good starting point. However, the number that I would like to see is that it is down 150%. That means no illegals aliens (Not Mexican Emigrants) are coming in to the U.S., and many are leaving the U.S.

As to “gringos are really shameful protectionists when they find themselves in the losing end of the deal”, I agree with you that the U.S. is in the losing end of the deal. We don’t need these law breaking illegals in the U.S. who can’t speak English, refuse to learn English, fill up our prisons, take my hard earned tax dollars due to government handouts, contribute very little to the U.S. tax base and trash the neighborhoods they infest. They are a scourge on our society because, for the most part, we get the low lifes from Mexico. I certainly don’t see any Mexican rocket scientists, molecular biologists, nuclear physicists, chemical engineers or brain surgeons flooding into the U.S. from Mexico.

Jarhead on September 16, 2009 at 5:07 pm

I am talking about the trucking deal. These trucks should have made legal many years ago and haven’t because of syndicates have blocked them invoking all sorts of falsehoods.

As I said, you gringos are often very hypocritical in these sorts of things. NAFTA is a deal that generates benefits for the three countries, but the US refuses to commit to some parts of it when they feel like it for the most inane (protectionist) reasons. This has nothing to do with inmigration. Just a bunch of pussies. Same for tuna fish or avocado.

So much for global commerce and capitalism.

As for Mexican Rocket Scientists, there was one (José M Hernández) aboard the latest space shuttle flight, so maybe you need to be better informed. Sadly, there is a huge brain exodus from Mexico to the US.

Luis from Mexico on September 16, 2009 at 5:21 pm

    Luis

Wow, you make some really great points, NOT!

The trucks that come into the U.S. don’t even meet the safety standards that are imposed on U.S. trucks. They are hazards on the U.S. roads. They shouldn’t be here period.

“You gringos” and “Just a bunch of pussies”, you really impress me with your language. As I see it, you wetbacks are the pussies. You have pussies entrenched in your police forces who cannot control your out of control criminal activities. You don’t have the balls to do what is necessary to bring your third world pissant country into the 21st century. With the wealth of natural resources that Mexico has, you’d figure by now Mexico would have learned how to make your country as prosperous as the U.S. But no, you beaners are just pathetic pussies who blame your problems on everybody else and don’t take responsibility for your own situation.

I am really impressed that you can name ONE Mexican with a brain. Can you please name some others? And if there is a brain drain in Mexico coming into the U.S., not only is it bringing down the average IQ of the U.S. and Mexico, than Mexico is even more pathetic than I thought. From the “Highly Intelligent Mexicans” that I have seen, I am surprised that Mexicans aren’t still running around in animal skins and spears and living in caves.

Jarhead on September 16, 2009 at 5:53 pm

I am sure you are a fine example of a high-IQ and well educated american. The fact that you haven’t heard of Mexican rocket scientists, molecular biologists, nuclear physicists, chemical engineers or brain surgeons it’s because you surely aren’t one to move in these circles. Judging by your language and puerile attitudes, it looks you never went past high school. And a shitty one at that.

Of course mexican trucks meet US safety standards, where do you think we get them from? It’s just hypocritical that you advocate free commerce and then block it when you don’t like some parts of it. You either endorse free commerce or refuse it, but you can’t have it both ways without being an hypocrite.

This was just an example to show you that the US has its own faults, not to make a case for my own problems.

Hey I was here to bash Eva Longoria, remember? I am not the one to say Mexico is perfect. But the US has a lot of homework to do too, and instead you are the ones currently blaming everyone else, in this case illegals, for your own decadence. Very sad. Stop blaming Mexico for your own problems. If the US was so perfect, illegal inmigration wouldn’t exist.

Luis from Mexico on September 16, 2009 at 6:09 pm

    Luis

Are you sure you really want to compare intelligence with me? I graduated from a very well known top ranked university known for its academic prowess with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and I made the Dean’s List 6 semesters. I currently design the radio communications circuits that make cell phones work. What are your credentials?

Jarhead on September 16, 2009 at 6:24 pm

Luis, one other thing. I wasn’t the one who started using derogatory language, you did when you started calling us gringos. Also, justifying the presence of illegals in the U.S. is not very astute of you. They shouldn’t be here in the first place, and if they weren’t here in the U.S., it would solve a lot of our problems with budget deficits, overcrowding of our jails, destruction of our cities and subverting our culture.

Jarhead on September 16, 2009 at 6:36 pm

Or, it has to do with the fact that the exceptional Mexican Mds have come North to practice. Legally.

I know Monterrey has a good Medical school, but it isn’t UT. Any of them. I haven’t bothered to check the per capita science paper publishing of Mexico because Israel waxes your tail easily.

    Occam's Tool on June 30, 2011 at 9:49 pm

I am an electromechanical engineer from a top mexican university, with a master degree on applied informatics. I run a local IT business in Guadalajara. I don’t have have to probe nothing to you.

I like to be informed on what happens in the world, and I particularly like Debbie’s blog because she likes to out corrupt, hypocrite or plain dumb US politicians, no matter what party or ideology and because she is for real, she really lives what she thinks and that inspires me.

I have no reason to defend or endorse illegal inmigrants except from whiny bigmouths like you who like feed their superiority complex by trashing what they deem inferior somehow. You love to let your big mouth loose about my country and yet you don’t know shit about it. I assure I know a load more about americans than you do about mexicans, starting from the language, history, politics, geography, etc.

Mexico or mexicans are very far from perfect, frustratingly so. I do my bit to fight against that, I do a lot of local politics and employ soime people. I don’t need some redneck bigot coming to tell me how stupid we are and how righteous they are. I know that there is stupidity, corruption and rightiousness on both sides. I admire many things about americans, but not the superiority complex. I could have gone to live to the US long ago (legally) and yet I didn’t. That is because I like Mexico more. That simple. There’s many good thinks about Mexico and it is not nearly a hellhole as you like to describe it in your ignorance.

Luis from Mexico on September 16, 2009 at 7:01 pm

Also,

FIY gringo is not derogatory at all and americans here use it all the time to refer to themselves.

I don’t justify illegal inmigration or make a case for it, I just try to explain more broadly of its origins or causes. And they lie on both sides of the fence. That’s all.

Luis from Mexico on September 16, 2009 at 7:29 pm

Now that Luis and Jarhead have both established their right to be called educated, can we move on to the issue. Illegal immigration is against existing U.S. Immigration Law, I paraphrase, Title 8, Section 1325 of the United States Immigration Law Code, It is illegal and punishable by law to house, transport, or in anyway facilitate the stay of a foreign national illegally in the U.S. CASE CLOSED. The only reason it is going on,THE ONLY REASON IT IS GOING ON, is because we have corrupt politicians who are bought and paid for by lobbyists and the Chambers of Commerce, etc. That doesn’t mean Immigration law is invalid, it only means these representatives should be jailed for failure to do their sworn duty in upholding U.S. law. ALL OTHER ISSUES ARE TOTALLY IRRELEVANT. SEPARATING FAMILIES, WHO WILL DO THE JOBS, RACISM, OR ANY OTHER PHONY EXCUSE FOR VIOLATING U.S. IMMIGRATION LAW.

Bobby on September 16, 2009 at 8:33 pm

My view: put up the wall, with Liberal use of mines covered by Ma-Deuces, or the latest (Still, I like the penetrating power of the 50s.) Use Quads, or “meatchoppers.”

Come in legally or become vulture bait. By the way, both my kids are adopted Mayans (legally at GREAT effort and expense) from Guatemala. The Latinos I know treat the Mayans like crap, so give me a break.

We have a right to control our borders, and kill those who violate our sovereignty. Mexico has greatly abused our patience. They have behaved as scumbags.Their government is composed of vermin. We owe them nothing but the savage back of our hands. If they won’t come in legally, turn ’em into buzzard bait.

Another thing to do is to cut off Mexico from all credit/money transfers except those approved by Debbie Schlussel, or appointees of of my favorite female Maccabee.

Meat Choppers, fences, and elimination of credit/money transfers except appropriately vetted ones. That should do the trick.

    Occam's Tool on June 30, 2011 at 9:46 pm

What did Davy Crockett say when he saw 50,000 mexicans come over the ridge at the Alamo?

“Are we doing the landscaping today?”

ender on September 16, 2009 at 9:28 pm

Bobby,

Sorry about all that with Luis. It is just that he has posted in the past that illegal aliens invading our country is OK, that he has supported them staying here in the U.S. and that there is no way for us to get rid of them. If he says otherwise, he is a liar. As you can tell, I am totally against all of this illegal activity and support strong measures to cure this infestation of the U.S. by illegals.

I’ve been trying to come up with some good ideas on how to keep these illegals from coming into the U.S., and I would like to see others post their ideas. I still think putting up fences on both sides of the border about 500 yards apart and creating a no man’s land like on the border of the Koreas is a good idea. Also, signs would be posted in Spanish and English to let everyone know this area is not to be crossed. Just to make sure that no one does cross from Mexico, we land mine the no man’s land and strategically place motion sensitive automated machine guns. If they cross, they were warned.

Jarhead on September 16, 2009 at 9:29 pm

Jarhead, you are good to misrepresent my opinions. I never said that it is Ok for them to stay on the US illegally. On the other side, I did say that it is childish to expect to get rid of them just because you hate them or want to round them all and shoot them. Childish and idiotic too, is to extend your opinionated hatred to all mexicans.

For one reason or another, latino illegals have become a powerful force to reckon with in the US, and to solve the issue you will have to like at the different angles of illegal migration. Whether you like it or not.

I agree wholeheartedly with Bobby that a necessary first step is to start cracking down on corrupt inmigration and drug enforcement officials on the US. Thank you. Don’t expect mexicans to do your dirty (political) laundry.

Luis from Mexico on September 16, 2009 at 11:26 pm

“I did say that it is childish to expect to get rid of them just because you hate them or want to round them all and shoot them. Childish and idiotic too, is to extend your opinionated hatred to all mexicans.”

I think you are going over the bend here.

    sorrow01 on September 17, 2009 at 3:43 am

This Luis has proven himself to be a punk-ass liar just by his statements on this post. He has said in the past that he doesn’t live in Mexico, but he wrote above about his local business in Guadalajara. I have not misrepresented this illegal alien coddling Naco’s opinions, just used his own words against him. He has also supported Mexico becoming part of the U.S., so don’t believe this scratch-back supporting liar when he spews his Pro-Mexico crap.

Jarhead on September 17, 2009 at 10:38 am

It is so nice to know that hate filled, demented, misguided, selfish individuals with an unwarranted, excessive ego are pushing their propaganda rife with racism, ethnocentrism, and a disgust for the very nation, the US, which they actually thrive in, while the cultures and nations they champion are so backward and such utter failures.

It’s you who started this discussion. Stick to it or leave as it is, but don’t justify yourself with the other readers by misrepresentings my words and opinions.

Luis from Mexico on September 17, 2009 at 10:47 am

Luis, you need the reading comprehension courses. If you couldn’t figure it out from what I wrote, I did not say you live in the U.S.

Jarhead on September 17, 2009 at 11:20 am

After living in California for years I was horrified at how many Anglos simply turned their heads to the plague of illegals. It really slapped me in my face when I worked at Soledad State prison(see Correctional Training Facility). Talk about blatant racism against whites. Worse was the schools out there for my son. In his first grade class he was one of only 3 white kids and was forced to sit quietly while the mexicans were given english lessons. Homework an inch thick in 1st grade and THEY don’t even belong here. A lot of Evas living in the “Golden” state.

Don’t let the Luis types get under your skin Jarhead.

Joe on September 17, 2009 at 12:38 pm

Joe – I am not letting him get under my skin, well, sort of. He just needs to be confronted about his ignoramus statements about illegals.

Jarhead on September 17, 2009 at 12:52 pm

What so utterly amazes me about many Americans, of all types, is how they allow themselves to somehow believe, that everyone in the world has the right to come to their nation whether they are doing it in a legal way or not. It makes me wonder if they even believe it is their nation. Weren’t they born here? Didn’t they pay taxes here? Aren’t many descendants of Americans who died in wars and in industrial accidents, and in other ways building up the nation?

The point I’m making is simple. Unless Americans develop a consciousness, that this is “their nation”, that they are a part of a great big country that is beautiful and not to be taken advantage of by any clownish politician, people here illegally, or any other agent that does this nation harm, then they don’t deserve this country and illegal aliens overwhelming it is a natural consequence of the laizze faire attitude of so many AMericans towards the very land that gives them their bread and life. No one can cry for people who don’t care about what happens to them or their family and friends because of their own laziness and unconcernedness for their own nation.

Bobby on September 17, 2009 at 4:06 pm

I meant to say in my last post aren’t they concerned about how theier descendants built up the nation and died in wars, etc.

Bobby on September 17, 2009 at 4:08 pm

I love the Brown people movement, they have this thing where they claim they built all of the world’s temples/pyramids and how they know the secret of the world, including the Mayan Calender and how far advance they once were.

This is nothing more than making a race of people feel good or invent a fake history to unite them. Kind of the black guys that wear a pendant of africa around their necks. Imagine if White Trash in america started to wear pendants of Europe around their neck and started weaving stories of how the Vikings flew to the moon and Barbarians and Saxons invented telephones 1000 years ago and also figured a way to send signals telepathically. They someone lost of their minds when they conquered.

Somebody take her fishing Christmas night.

dirtyleb on September 17, 2009 at 8:21 pm

It’s a new trend. Come to America, get rich and famous and then take a dump on the country and its citizens.

Bobby on September 17, 2009 at 9:01 pm

Amusing how I am labeled ignorant for not being a hateful bigot. Remember that I am on the same side or the discussion?

Luis from Mexico on September 18, 2009 at 2:01 pm

But why are people hateful bigots because they see Mrs. Longoria, as being a hateful bigot, Luis? For example her statement, about “occupied America”. Her statement that, “it’s about time Mexicans live in the mansion and Americans do the lawnwork.” That is plain hate and ignorance to boot. Do you know why it’s ignorance? Because their are obviously Mexicans who live in mansions in Mexico, and those who do lawn work. Or for example, there have always been Americans who did lawn work. One of my friends did it for about twenty houses. The Japanese were excellent gardners in the city I grew up in. Some of them did lawn work, when they were quite old. Yet, they never complained about it. Only some Mexicans seem to have this deep seated hatrerd, like Mrs. Longoria and others. For example, like the Professors paid for by Americans taxes that preach reconquista and fifth columnist crap in American universities. Luis, if you are indeed, and intelligent and reasonable person, can’t you see the insanity of this stuff? What would happen to Americans that lived and worked in Mexico praeaching this kind of crap against the Mexican government? Do you understand now, why so many Americans are down on Mexicans in general? If you don’t you are blind, perhaps willfully, of what is going on and had been going on for a long time. Luis, hardworking AMERICANS, OWE MEXICANS NOTHING, ABSOLUTEY NOTHING.

Bobby on September 18, 2009 at 3:38 pm

I lived in Mexico and they are the most corrupt, racist country I have ever lived in (and I have lived in many countries). They refuse to take care of their own people and want to take from the U.S. as much as they can and use the fake excuses of owning the U.S. (which they only did for all of 24 years – the least of everyone) and tell their children in Raza Studies (also known as Mexican-American Studies) that they were here for 40,000 years – NOT – this is a HUGE LIE. The American Indians were here for thousands of years. The Mex. indigenous (Mayans & Aztecs) were NEVER HERE – THEY FEARED THE APACHES. Some married with Yaqui border Indians but that was it. And when I lived in Mexico, their indigenous were not required to go to school so they could keep them down. The rich Mexicans use them for servants, to clean, cook, wash, etc. and treat them worse than dogs. Mexicans hate blacks but I could not believe how vile they treat their own indigenous, murdering them and stealing their land. But then Mexico is if not the worst (and they may very well be the worst) one of the top most corrupt countries in the world (what a thing to excel in!) (and they have murdered 11,000 of their own people in the last 3 years!). They come here with an “attitude” that we owe them something – we don’t owe them anything but they owe us big time and have stolen millions of our jobs and cost us trillions of dollars they steal from our hospitals, schools (our children are losing a good education because we pay $12 billion to pay for their kids’ education a year!!!), social services, etc. We should take Mexico to war and take that money back they have stolen from us IMHO! They are like the cuckoo who lays their egg in the sparrow’s nest, kills the sparrow’s babies and then expects the sparrows to feed and bring up their baby! They are an arrogant and irresponsible culture on the whole and they teach their children that everything is American’s fault (told to me by a friend of mine born and lived in Mexico for her first 22 yrs.). They hate the U.S. and are jealous of us because we know how to make a country work and they don’t have a clue. Everything is “la mordida” (the bribe – even getting one’s mail or having a court case, etc.), or nepotism (putting friends or family into high positions even though they have no experience) or lying, stealing or cheating. My friends born in Mexico tell me this is a way of life. It is unfortunate but true. People who flee a country like this if they were smart would want to learn from the U.S. but instead they want us to live the putrid life they do. It’s dumb! That is why even if G-d forbid they took over like they want to our entire nation, they will make it into the same hellhole and failure that Mexico is today!

This lady is out of her mind. She can get away with it because she has a blog and because her assertions are not vetted. If she had to pay for her irresponsibility she would not be making such statements. I challenge her to put up a $1000 and if she cannot prove her assertion that I am a communist she’ll have to pay me. If she can I’ll pay her. This is the kind of stupidity that wracked Nazi Germany.

First of all, the clip IS available on YouTube and Eva did NOT say “so I can be educated and have a background in my activism in the Latino community.” It’s ONE MINUTE, starting at 6:37. Did you not bother to listen and accurately quote?

Second of all, I’ve read OCCUPIED AMERICA written by Dr. Acuna, a Korean War veteran nonetheless, and it is far from being Anti-American. Why is it that when history is told from an other than Euro-American perspective it’s “anti-American?”

As Dr. Acuna’s Chicano Studies students, Eva and I are not learning to hate America from within. What this book, this class, this Chicano Studies program has done is for once show how Mexican Americans contributed to the making of America and yes, it is pro-Latino. Nothing wrong with that.

If I were you, I’d get your $1000 out and ready to put in Dr. Acuna’s pocket.

I happen to be from the state that Eva Longoria was reared in.
She is close to her family and is as down to earth as
any other Texan. I am proud that she is wanting to give
back now that she has made a fortune and married a very
wealthy member of the Spurs. Texas is about helping your
neighbor…..it’s part of our cultura.

We speak Spanglish listen to Tejano music and we all eat tamales no matter what our heritage is. Leave Eva alone. I happen to have descended from Scottish people who moved to Texas when it was Mexico. I have no use for people who don’t get the concept that America is about all of us being proud of our heritages. It’s what makes us American. This is why we have a Statue of Liberty welcomeing immigrants not shooting the finger at them.

“This is why we have a Statue of Liberty welcomeing immigrants not shooting the finger at them.”

When immigrants came to America at Ellis Island they weren’t illegals since they were processed and documented there. At that time immigrants had to actually work to provide for themselves because there was no social services for them to drain like there is today. Social Security, Food Stamps, Housing Assistance etc. All of those are meant for citizens who pay for that crap out of their paychecks via tax dollars and not meant for illegals to take advantage of. DO YOU GET IT NOW RETARD!?!

My family came through Ellis Island. Legally. I’m an MD, my sister is an MBA, two of my cousins are MDs (one of them is also a CPA), one is an investmant banker. I have a cousin in CA who is a junior in medical school, as well. I have a Cousin in Arizona who is a Doctor of Education. No one is on the dole right now.

That’s kind of the difference, eh?

Q: Um, is America “occupied”?
A: Yes, by Europeans.

The statement, “Acuna [sic] hates America, and his book is a one-sided demonization of Americans throughout American history,” is self-deception, as affirmation of the social order is not a substitute for critical inquiry into history. If you had any support for your contention, you would have cited authority, like a competent scholar. Native Americans lived a genocide and were enslaved, the idyllic birth of capitalism. Galeano, Eduardo, “The Open Veins of Latin America,” see also Spicer, Herbert, “Cycles of Conquest.”
