DISGUSTING!: The Grossest Thing An Environmentalist Nutjob Hipster Has Ever Done To “Save The World”

This is SO GROSS, SO NASTY, and SO RIDICULOUS that I repeatedly debated even putting in on this website. We’ve heard about some really absurd things that environmentalist hipster Millennial nutjobs have done to “save the environment” and “recycle,” but this one really takes the cake (and I hesitate using the word cake in this post because this is so sick).

Showing how low USA Today has sunk, today the McPaper’s print edition features a story on the front page of its “Money” (really, Business) section about Millennial women who eschew “environmentally-unfriendly” tampons and are looking for environment-friendly, recycling-ish feminine hygiene products. The story was silly enough, when one of the women, Emily Varnam, a 27-year-old doula (yeah, the job description is all you need to know), said she dreams of the day when she can make her own homemade menstrual pads and host workshops to teach other women to do it. Wow, you aim high, woman!

But this part is just siiiiiiick. Varnam uses a “menstrual cup” to collect her period blood because she says tampons and other disposables destroy the Earth or something.

She dilutes the menstrual blood she collects with water and uses it to water her plants, which she says helps them thrive and makes her feel more aligned with the earth. “Once I had this relationship with my blood where this isn’t gross, it makes me feel better and I’m allowed to be a woman.”

Eeuuww, eeuuww, eeuuww. What kind of weirdo dreams this creepy, warped kinda stuff up? Somebody smoked way too much pot with Gloria Steinem at the WNBA All-Star Weekend. Like my friend San Diego radio talk show host Brett Winterble (on whose KFMB-AM show I appear every Friday with movie reviews and political commentary) asked, “Does she own Venus flytraps on steroids?”

Yup, this is New Age leftism on steroids. But this is how the younger morons of this country–at least some of them–are thinking. They won’t even dispose of what actually, really needs to be disposed.

ISIS is killing people in the West and Muslims are invading. And this chick is looking for silly ways to recycle period blood. Priorities.

Makes you really have hope for America’s future. Not.

Why is this kind of discussion in a mainstream major newspaper?

Remember when the late Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan talked about our society “defining deviancy down”? This is Exhibit A of what he was talking about.

I note the article in USA Today is written by Zlati Meyer, a Detroit-area resident who is a pro-Muslim, left-wing, so-called “journalist.” Figures. So annoying.

Thanks for highlighting this story from the “USA Today” Debbie, and one word is right about that girl wanting to save her blood from her anatomy into a menstrual cup, “yuck”!

And it’s a good thing that I’m not hungry at this precise moment, or otherwise, I would’ve literally puked into my mouth, as a matter of fact, after reading this, I may not have an appetite the rest of the day, lol?

This is a good illustration of the loss of people’s abilities to make quantifiable choices were any nuance can trump any greater truth.

With this general problem having invaded half the population, the issue seems more illustrative than trivial.

I had the same thought. I remember reading or hearing about somebody who cut his finger and rushed across the yard so that he would bleed on his compost heap.

I’ve been smoking pot for nearly 43 years, and agree totally with Debbie, on both of her newest articles. Just goes to show you that a mind is a terrible thing to waste, but mental illness can happen with or without pot.

Oh, one more thing, I hope she’s not growing anything from those plants that she intends to eat. She’s not using kosher growing methods, that’s for sure.

I don’t think it has anything to do with being environmentally friendly,so I’m not going to mention it here.
It would be off topic.
But suffice it to say,it has to do with female genitalia and what one woman proposed.

Yeah, that’s pretty gross. I wonder if she recycles her own s–t? Doodoo is great fertilizer. I lived in West Palm Beach, Florida for 3 years when I was a teen. I had a German Shepherd and he’d poop poop out in the backyard. I’d come home from school, or whenever, and take the hose and blast it, breaking it down and washing it into the grass until it was gone. We had one hell of a green lawn, greenest on the block, I can tell you that!

None of things like this are at all “for the environment,” for all their pretense. Let’s leave it at, they mean for all of us to live like primitive, unhygienic slobs, and go around more like dirty, smelly hippies. (On a hot summer’s day, for example, try to walk around without bathing or showering for a day or two, claim you’re doing it “for the environment,” and see what happens. More often than not, you may well get a clout in the chops or some equivalent thereof.)

We know that there is a great deal of narcissism in all the victim movements, not the least in the women’s movement and the environmental (sic) movement. This is expressed both in the unchecked desire for self-gratification, and in the belief that adhering to a ‘victim’ movement, especially one like environmentalism, makes one a better person.

I have become convinced over time that the degree of emotional instability is higher in these movements than it is in persons who are well-adjusted enough to avoid the drivel of these protests. Since these movements are virtually unchecked these days, and there is almost no significant countervailing force, excesses like this unbalanced woman are not surprising.

It’s been years since I took Greek, so I looked it up to make sure and I was right, doula means “female slave.” THAT says a lot about the current conditioning of the population who are demanding slavery and calling it freedom.

Ya just can’t make this stuff up! If nothing else, Debbie and Brett may have discovered a new species–Dionaea menstrupula. What’s scary, is that in several years we may discover there’s actually a new tree-hugger movement giving new meaning to the terms “giant Redwoods” and “bleeding heart flower” (Placenta spectabilis?). On the sci-fi end of things, we might expect a remake of the really old movie “The Day of the Triffids” with vegetation instead chasing down women with PMS and spraying some FDS like substance.

And now that I’ve skirted the boundary of the twisted liberal mindset I’m desperately feeling the need for a shower.

I have a bunch of Millennials in my family, all of whom are rabid lefties. Some have the most disgusting personal habits which they claim they engage in to “save the planet” but personally I think they just have a few screws loose. It is ridiculous to watch these young adults I have known since birth eat bizarre things because they are “healthy,” resort to disgusting practices to “save the planet,” and make very stupid financial decisions in order to be politically correct.

Someone should point out to that woman that menstrual blood is technically a biohazard. I don’t even want to think about what using a menstrual cup involves. My memory of years of periods is that Aunt Flow could be wildly unpredictable.

I’m a hard core Black Conservative. That being said I truly believe that liberalism really is a mental disorder that infects a great deal of the 18-35 crowd. This person Varnam seems to be one of the kookiest that I’ve read about in awhile. Other than the young couple that I read about that had a baby and kept the placenta to make smoothies for themselves years ago. This nut job takes the cake. What makes Varnam and other people like her think that doing something disgusting like saving her period blood and using it to feel good about herself and to water her plants. Uh lady how about taking your crazy butt to the store and getting some tampons or pads. They are really eco friendly and you can get them with pearls, wings unscented or lemony fresh. Also you can got to you favorite home improvement store and buy additives to put in your water container to help your plants. You see folks people like Varnam are good for laughs only because they are just that disgusting and narcissistic. They feel that all those who don’t recycle, think some trees need chopping down, drive cars other than electrical, wear fur, love coal, and love plastic are just haters of our little blue planet. I’ve got news for them. Most of us fall into these categories. That doesn’t mean that we don’t care about Mother Earth. It just means that we find people like Varnum a few menstrual cups short of a full set.

What a dolt. Just Google “pattern for menstrual pad.” Does she have enough intelligence and common sense to cut pieces out of fabric & batting and sew them together? Doubtful.
Just FYI, there is a charity that makes these pads to give to young African girls because without them, they have to stay home from school. You know, “freebleeding.”
