Omar Abdel Rahman, “Blind Sheikh,” Muslim Refugee/Immigrant, Rot In Hell – Dead at 78

Omar Abdel Rahman, the mastermind of and “spiritual leader” behind the 1993 Al-Qaeda World Trade Center bombers, is dead. May “the blind sheikh” rot in hell.
When we hear the blatantly false claims by liberals (and other open borders advocates) that Muslim immigrants don’t commit terrorism, Rahman is Exhibit A that those liberals are liars. Rahman, as the spiritual leader of al-Gama al-Islamiyya, was linked to and twice tried for the assassination of Egyptian leader Anwar Sadat (for the crime of making a very tenuous, one-sided peace with Israel). He escaped Egypt to hang out with Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan and preach more of his typical hate in Pakistan. He was also on terrorist watch lists, including that of the U.S.
Yet, President George H.W. Bush allowed Rahman into the United States and granted him a Green Card. Why on earth would you let in a known assassin known to be part of Muslim terrorist groups and their spiritual leader? And then grant him a Green Card and legal permanent residence? Absurd. Had Bush been a little more concerned with national security instead of butt-snorkeling Muslims, the first World Trade Center bombing might never have happened. The bombing killed six Americans and injured 1,000, and Bush has some of that blood on his hands for being careless and letting this guy in.
Rahman’s mosque was linked to a number of major Al-Qaeda and HAMAS figures in the United States, including Fawaz Abu-Damra, an imam who raised money for HAMAS, was a member of Islamic Jihad founder and worked closely with its leader Sami Al-Arian, and called Jews and Christians “pigs and monkeys.”

Several of his followers were convicted in the bombing, although Abdel Rahman was not. Instead, he was arrested on broader conspiracy charges of planning to “levy a war of urban terrorism against the United States.” Among other actions, Abdel Rahman was accused of plotting a “day of terror” in which simultaneous bombs would blow up the United Nations, the Lincoln and Holland tunnels in New York City, the George Washington Bridge and the building housing New York’s FBI headquarters. . . .
Despite being on anti-terrorism watch lists, he traveled to Sudan, where he received a visa to enter the United States. After his arrival in New Jersey, he obtained a green card for residency. When it was revoked in 1992, he asked for political asylum.
Abdel Rahman had two wives and 10 children; a complete list of survivors could not be confirmed. One of his sons, Ahmed Abdel Rahman, was killed by a U.S. drone strike in Afghanistan in 2011.
At his sentencing, Rahman delivered these typical Muslim sentiments about America–sentiments that are held by many, many Muslim refugees we allow in and to whom we give green cards:
This is an infidel country. It has an infidel White House. It has an infidel Congress. It has an infidel Pentagon. And this is an infidel courthouse.
A number of conservative “news” sites, with absolutely zero evidence, claimed that Barack Obama was going to pardon and release Rahman to Egypt. I never thought that would happen and said so to many readers who inquired about it. As bad as Obama was–and he was plenty bad, as we know–he wouldn’t be that stupid. There were plenty of deeds bad enough that Obama perpetrated. We didn’t need to make things up.
Rahman died where he should have–in a dark, dank prison. Sadly, he got to live far too long, unlike his victims. The guy should have been put to death, decades ago in Egypt or here. Yet, somehow, he repeatedly skated from his just desserts.
I hope that the Federal Bureau of Prisons doesn’t give Rahman a Muslim funeral and “proper” burial. But we know they will, just as the Obama government did for Bin Laden. Let’s hope, at least, that Rahman is buried in an unmarked, undisclosed grave so he does not become more of a martyr than he already is to Muslims (and so that there is no gathering place to mourn this major evildoer).
Ironically, Rahman’s surname means “the merciful” in Arabic, but there was nothing merciful about him.
His 78 years on this earth were 78 years too many. 78 years of pain, death, darkness, and destruction.

*** UPDATE: I have noted this before on this site, but forgot when I wrote this and was gladly reminded by reader “WHO ME,” that Rahman also inspired and masterminded the 1990 murder of Rabbi Meir Kahane by El-Sayyid Nosair, one of Rahman’s congregants and followers. This was the first Al-Qaeda murder of an American on U.S. soil.
Yet another reason Rahman should, and will, rot in hell.

Yup, Daddy Bush, indeed. I agree wholeheartedly about the blood on his hands. Let us never forget Daddy Bush’s laxity on various matters, like U.S. sovereignty, for example. They are evident in the two statements he made about a “kinder, gentler America,” and a “new world order.”
And now here we are.
