EXCLUSIVE: Iran Fabricated Story of Refusing to Play Israelis To Cover Up Loss in Tennis
The government of Iran is so anti-Israel and so anti-Semitic (same thing) that it makes up fictional Israeli teams it “refuses to play” in order to cover up losses to other Western teams. That’s the case with Iranian tennis players who lost to Australians a week ago. Instead of a loss, Iran presented the story as “they refused to play Israelis.” But that’s not what happened.
Last week, I saw a “news” story on the site of Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), more accurately titled FFUCYU–Fiction and Fairytales Unceasingly Communicated to You Universally. The story–which was repeated by “reputable” media outlets around the world without checking–was that Iranian tennis player Amirvala Madanchi (also, “Amir Vala Madanchi”) and his “American” doubles partner beat Italian and Polish doubles teams in the Georgia Futures Competitions tennis tournament also known as the Telavi Open (not to be confused with the Tel Aviv Open in Israel). The tournament took place in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia (not the American state of the same name). Iran also claimed that the men quit in the semifinals of the tournament, rather than play against Israelis, er . . . members of “the Zionist regime.” (A reprint and a screenshot of the story are below–you must click on it to view the full screenshot.)
Iranian tennisser refuses to play vs. Israeli team in Georgia
Tehran, Aug 10, IRNA – Iranian tennis player Amir Vala Madanchi and his partner refused to play with Israeli players during the Men’s Doubles matches in Georgia Futures Competitions underway in the Caucasian country.
The Iranian tennisser and his American partner had overpowered Italy and Poland in the first round of the games. However, Vala Madanchi preferred to quit the semi final stage by refusing to compete with the representatives of the Zionist regime.
In a move to demonstrate their refusal to recognize the Tel Aviv regime, Iranian athletes do not take part in sports competitions against representatives of the Zionsit [sic] entity in the international fields.
(The story marks the first time I’ve ever heard a tennis player referred to as a “tenniser.”)
I did some digging because I wanted to know the name of the American anti-Semite so I could embarrass him and ask the US Tennis Association what it planned to do about this Jew-hatred. But when I looked up the complete main draw for the men’s doubles portion of the tournament (which lists the competitors, their countries, whom they played, and their scores), I saw that the whole story was a lie. And there was no American partner. In fact, it’s pretty clear the story is an attempt by Iran to embarrass Israel (by making up the “we refused to play story” and the “American doubles partner”) and spare Iranian players the embarrassment of losing to Westerners . . . again.
In fact, Mr. Madanchi’s doubles partner in Georgia was NOT an American, but a fellow Iranian, Shahin Khaledan. And while they beat two Italians, their next opponents weren’t both from Poland (one of them was German). After that, Madanchi and Khaledan played Australians Thomas Fancutt and William Mitchell Robins (neither of whom is an “evil Zionist”), and the Iranians got beaten 6-3, 6-4 by the Aussies. There were no Israelis playing in this tennis tournament. None. The claim otherwise is just complete and total fiction. A screenshot from the International Tennis Federation draw of the tournament is below (click on it to see the whole thing).
Unlike Barack Obama, John Kerry, and Hillary Rodham Cankles, I never believe anything the Iranians say. Never have. Never will. But Iranian athletes have refused to compete against Israelis in several past sporting events (and Muslims have refused to ride on the bus with and shake the hands of Israeli athletes they just lost to, in the current Summer Olympic Games, as they have in other games), so this is a believable story. Also, I figured something that could be easily verified–tennis tournament players, scores, countries of origin, etc.–wouldn’t be a lie they’d tell. Wrong.
Iran will say anything anytime no matter how false. And, yet, the international press repeats this BS that comes out of its “news agency.”
And “our” President repeats their promises and assurances as the truth.
When they can’t even tell the truth about a minor tennis tournament loss.
That’s taqiyyah. And that’s Islam.
Yup.
Its not just Jews they feel inferior to, its to the West.
And Muslim psychology doesn’t handle loss very well.
In honor/shame societies like Iran, honor is upheld by lying to preserve it.
That’s the difference between them and us and that’s why the twain will never meet.
