VIDEO: Um, This Anti-Trump Ad Makes Me Wanna Vote for Him

By Debbie Schlussel

donaldtrump.jpg.video

The anti-Trump establishment forces spent millions through their PACs to try and stop Trump, with mixed (and, frankly, very poor) results. Here’s the latest dumb anti-Trump ad from American Future Fund Political Action Committee. Epic fail. This ad makes me want to vote for Trump. It makes him look tough, like a badass, like the President we’ve needed and haven’t had in at least 15 years, arguably 28. Watch the video–I could watch this over and over and over again . . .

So, today is the Republican (and Dem) Presidential primary, and I’ll be voting soon. I’ll tell you later for whom I voted and why (I still haven’t decided but it’s between Cruz and Trump, neither of whom I like). In the meantime, you must watch this and tell me how and why this is a turnoff. It ain’t to me. Frankly, this is the best stuff about Trump. That he doesn’t mince words. That he’s blunt. That, again, he comes off as a badass (even if I don’t believe he’ll ever be one if elected–the track record shows otherwise).

They really think this will turn voters off regarding Trump? Only if they’re morons. And they are. On the other hand, whether or not they beat Trump, they’re laughing all the way to the bank. Cha-ching. So, maybe they aren’t morons, after all.

Just shrewd con artists.

***

By the way, we’re fooling ourselves if we think the other Presidential candidates don’t speak like this behind the scenes. They all use this language (even religious Christian Ted Cruz–you think his wife Heidi didn’t talk like this at Goldman Sachs?). I’ll bet Hillary–who’s known to have the mouth of a sailor–uses it more than anyone.

Trump just has the honesty or lack of class–take your pick–to do it in public. I bet he never speaks like this from the White House (if he’s elected). Though, I’d love him to say to some Muslim leader’s diplomat, “An you can tell him to go f— himself.”

Won’t happen though because I believe if he gets to the White House he might be the pro-Muslim panderer he always was. That’s the million dollar question: what Trump will really be like as Prez. We’ll see.

Anyone can use foul language, and that is NOT a reason to vote for someone to be president. I’d want my president to be better than some classless ignorant schmuck like Trump. Substance is more important than being stylish, and if you don’t think so, you’re cra-cra.

NotUrFan on March 8, 2016 at 12:21 pm

What substance are you talking about, and did you consume it before posting here? Poor little thing! Did that bad man make you cry?

Worry on March 8, 2016 at 8:49 pm

Whatever one thinks of Trump, or however the rest of his run turns out, I can tell you that the GOP establishment is doing themselves absolutely no favors by trying to put the equivalent of banana peels in his path (via such platforms as that ad).

I think there’s another reason besides that ad that would make those who otherwise have better judgment, lean towards voting for Trump: the classless boor of an alleged “comedian,” Louis C.K.

If this ad is a turnoff, it’s more in the sense of those paying for it, shooting themselves in the foot.

ConcernedPatriot on March 8, 2016 at 12:34 pm

Some possible Cruz based campaign slogans. Silly stuff coming from Blond(e) Ignition.

Don’t be like that other Ted, The Swimmer, who swam from decency and honor in Chappaquiddick, and countless times afterward. Cruz to a bright future on The Good Ship President with Ted.

Better Ted than Red.

Take Ted on Conservative Cruz Lines, straight to restoring America’s greatness.

Better Ted than dead, . . . from an Iranian nuclear missile.

Trump the other guy. Take a Cruz on The Good Ship Conservative Ted.

Get ready with Teddy, take the Cruz to D.C.

Alfredo from Puerto Rico on March 8, 2016 at 1:08 pm

I am a little more pessimistic. There are many religious people who will not think this public language fitting. And any erosion in Trump’s support, even if small, will make the ads successful.

Evangelicals are a big part of the Republican electorate, and even if some of them are not offended, all it takes is a small number. And of course, this is combined with the rest of the multi-million dollar ad campaign.

As an aside, the ‘comparisons’between Trump and Hitler have been with us since the summer. But they seem to be picking up now; witness The View (sic), WSJ, etc. Is it a coincidence that this is picking up right before the Florida primary? The cynicism and loathsome nature of the anti-Trump campaign is nowhere more manifest. It is not only Blacks that the Establishment tries to scare during election campaigns.

Little Al on March 8, 2016 at 1:26 pm

And, needless to say, this ad, like virtually all the rest of the hit pieces is form over substance.

Re the discussion here a couple of days ago about Conservatives ;movisome of ng to the left in their final years, we are sadly seeing it in the opposition to Trump. It is particularly sad to see someone of the stature of Thomas Sowell humiliate himself, when, after a long, very distinguished career, he signs on to the anti-Trump garbage. Cal Thomas is another whom I would have thought better of.

Of course the Murdoch hacks, NR and Commentary do not surprise me.

Little Al on March 8, 2016 at 1:30 pm

Sorry; I meant to say: “Re the discussion here a couple of days ago about Conservatives moving to the left in their final years…

Little Al on March 8, 2016 at 1:31 pm

Let’s get real people!

If you have kids or are around them and they are 12 yrs or older, then, believe it or not, they speak the same words The Donald has spoken. Big Whoop!

Think about it…in the past 50 years, what politicians have actually meant and tried to do what they said?

Now, we have CRUZ and RUBIO running for President, but is either actually CONSTITUTIONALLY-ELIGIBLE to be the President??? TRUMP does not have that question hanging over his head, does he?

My suggestions before anyone makes a final choice:

1. Read the Constitution several times
2. Read Brad Thor’s “CODE OF CONDUCT”
3. Read Lawrence Lindsey’s “CONSPIRACIES OF THE RULING CLASS”
4. Say your PRAYERS – WE ARE ON THE PRECIPICE!
5. And when MORE IMMIGRATION is suggested, well, keep in
mind that ROBOTS can harvest 30,000 heads of lettuce per day!!
We do not need more unskilled, culturally alien workers. We need STEM EDUCATED WORKERS.

REALITY and HARD CHOICES – CHOOSE WISELY!

Nothing else works.

Trump has Reagan’s touch with none of his charm.

But he has two things going for him: a great slogan and Americans’ belief only an outsider can bring about needed change.

Reagan, a great President disappointed us on some issues. I would to see Trump exceed our expectations on some issues.

In many respects, after two terms of Obama, we’re worse off than we were under one term of Jimmy Carter.

And right now, Trump is the only national candidate in the GOP – something the party hasn’t seen Reagan’s day.

NormanF on March 8, 2016 at 1:41 pm

If Trump is the Republican candidate, Clinton won’t be able to capitalize on Trump’s profanity:

“Where is the G-damn f***ing flag? I want the G-damn f***ing flag up every f***ing morning at f***ing sunrise.”
(From the book Inside The White House by Ronald Kessler, p. 244 – Hillary to the staff at the Arkansas Governor’s mansion on Labor Day, 1991.)

“You sold out, you mother f***er! You sold out!”
(From the book Inside by Joseph Califano, p. 213 – Hillary yelling at Democrat lawyer.)

‘F**k off! It’s enough that I have to see you ****-kickers every day, I’m not going to talk to you too!! Just do your G*damn job and keep your mouth shut.’
(From the book American Evita by Christopher Anderson, p. 90 – Hillary to her State Trooper bodyguards after one of them greeted her with “Good Morning.”)

“You f***ing idiot.”
(From the book Crossfire p. 84 – Hillary to a State Trooper who was driving her to an event.)

“If you want to remain on this detail, get your f***ing ass over here and grab those bags!”
(From the book The First Partner p. 259 – Hillary to a Secret Service Agent who was reluctant to carry her luggage because he wanted to keep his hands free in case of an incident.)

“Get f***ed! Get the f**k out of my way!!! Get out of my face!!!”
(From the book Hillary’s Scheme p. 89 – Hillary’s various comments to her Secret Service detail agents.)

“Stay the f**k back, stay the f**k away from me! Don’t come within ten yards of me, or else! Just f**king do as I say, Okay!!!?”
(From the book Unlimited Access by Clinton FBI Agent in Charge, Gary Aldrige, p. 139 – Hillary screaming at her Secret Service detail.)

“Where’s the miserable c*ck sucker?”
(From the book The Truth About Hillary by Edward Klein, p. 5 – Hillary shouting at a Secret Service officer)

“Put this on the ground! I left my sunglasses in the limo. I need those sunglasses. We need to go back!”
(From the book Dereliction of Duty, p. 71-72 – Hillary to Marine One helicopter pilot to turn back while en route to Air Force One.)

“Son of a bitch.”
(From the book American Evita by Christopher Anderson, p. 259 – Hillary’s opinion of President George W. Bush when she found out he secretly visited Iraq just days before her highly publicized trip to Iraq.)

“What are you doing inviting these people into my home? These people are our enemies! They are trying to destroy us!”
(From the book The Survivor by John Harris, p. 99 – Hillary screaming to an aide, when she found out that some Republicans had been invited to the Clinton White House.)

“Come on Bill, put your d**k up! You can’t f**k her here!!”
(From the book Inside The White House by Ronald Kessler , p. 243 – Hillary to Gov. Clinton when she spots him talking with an attractive female at an Arkansas political rally.)

“You know, I’m going to start thanking the woman who cleans the restroom in the building I work in. I’m going to start thinking of her as a human being?” – Hillary Clinton
(From the book The Case Against Hillary Clinton by Peggy Noonan, pg. 55)

Ralph Adamo on March 8, 2016 at 2:34 pm

Correct me if I’m mistaken, but wasn’t another Hillary vulgarity directed towards Obama: “Call off your f***ing dogs”? If so, typical . . . of her, that is . . .

ConcernedPatriot on March 8, 2016 at 9:35 pm

Sure she will. A possible Trump voter might stay home instead.

Little Al on March 8, 2016 at 3:02 pm

If Trump is the Republican nominee, I find it hard to imagine a Trump voter staying home, recognizing that the alternative will effectively be another 8 years of “Obama leadership” or worse. If Trump remains true to form, for the first time ever, we’re likely to see a genuine attack with facts about Clinton like she’s never experienced before. Trump is highly unlikely to give Clinton the “Mittens” treatment the way Romney did with Obama. Although the mainstream media has been dutifully protecting Clinton at every turn, that will be difficult to do once the Trump assault on her record is exposed for the first time to the general American public. I believe that under these circumstances, Trump voters will be galvanized to come out in droves.

Ralph Adamo on March 8, 2016 at 4:58 pm

I guess it depends whether someone offended by his behavior as defined by the Establishment Media is actually a ‘Trump Voter.’

Little Al on March 8, 2016 at 5:18 pm

You will notice, RA that I said ‘possible’ Trump voter.

Little Al on March 8, 2016 at 5:24 pm

Donald Trump voters are probably not going to dump him over foul language. #NeverTrump = #ForeverHillary. The people who utterly despise Trump and his supporters have to be asked if they in fact prefer Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump? If so, why are they in the Republican Party? Liberal Republicans, such as John McCain and Mitt Romney were given their respective chances to prove their general appeal, and failed.

Worry on March 8, 2016 at 9:13 pm

Between Cruz & Trump, I’d go for Trump. Why? B’cos he’s reaching out to all sections of the population, and w/ messaging that transcends the usual canned messages of either Republicans or Conservatives.

I’ve seen too many things about Cruz of late to turn me off. On one hand, he claims to be for freezing H1Bs for 180 days, but then again, in the Senate, he declined to join forces w/ Senators to do precisely that. At least Trump says that he’s for expanding OPT visas while keeping H1Bs restricted (he’ll have to find a way to go directly from OPTs to Green Cards to make that happen), as opposed to Cruz, who says and does anything depending on the occasion.

Also, from Cruz’s campaign, one would think that the only people whose support matters to him is Evangelicals – and even there, he’s splitting them w/ Trump and even Rubio. I heard Rush Limbaugh say to Chris Wallace that he’s assuming that all of Romney’s voters will vote the same way, and that the only work he has to do is on the 5M Evangelicals who sat it out. But a lot of Romney voters who are moderates could just as easily sit it out. Trump’s approach – to appeal to all sections of the population w/ his message – is a far more intelligent approach.

Also, from the GOP establishment’s argument that Trump will lose the election, Trump is the only one I see WINNING the election. Cruz can cite all the polls he wants, but which of the Obama states is Cruz gonna reclaim? I can see Trump winning NY and NJ, and maybe some Rust Belt states. I just don’t see Cruz doing it. Also, a lot of the Sanders support would NOT migrate to Hilary once she gets the nomination. While a lot of them may sit it out, quite a few of them would go to Trump, but not Cruz. I’ve seen enough posters on the YouTube comment sections state their support for either Trump or Bernie, but no one else.

If only the GOP had put even half this effort against Obama in 2012

Infidel on March 8, 2016 at 3:20 pm

Agreed.

Hillel on March 8, 2016 at 4:04 pm

RA, I agree. In a general election match-up, Trump will unload the entire ammo against Hilary – he’ll make the Rush Limbaugh of the 90s look like a David Brock Clinton apologist. I can’t wait for him to launch ads like he’s done against Boobio

Infidel on March 8, 2016 at 5:53 pm

Trump also has some wiggle room. Since they had dealings in the past, he merely as a businessman BUT she as a politician responsible to the people, it’d be blatantly hypocritical for Hillary to accuse him of corruption in those matters. I can only imagine the things he has learned about her through the years that he can capitalize on.

YCHtT on March 9, 2016 at 12:38 am

To clarify, I also support Trump against all his opponents; I am just concerned that he has exhibited eccentricities that make him vulnerable.

Little Al on March 8, 2016 at 6:07 pm

If the worst thing that happens to you is hearing some on air profanity, you are in a blessed state indeed. The people who prattle on about vulgarity are usually the same ones who dislike actually talking about the issues, since their true positions on them would become known.

Worry on March 8, 2016 at 8:57 pm

Well, I guess I will have to stop prattling on about vulgarity, and from now on, just confine myself to the issues.

Little Al on March 8, 2016 at 11:36 pm

And I really thought that the regular contributors here had progressed beyond ad hominem attacks. But, having been chastened, I will now, as I said, confine myself to the issues.

Little Al on March 8, 2016 at 11:44 pm

Is Cruz actually an American citizen?

As noted in previous posts on this site, *IF* his mother became a Canadian citizen before his birth, then she would have lost her U.S. citizenship (according to *U.S. law* at the time) that instance, and Ted was not born with U.S. citizenship.

If this did NOT happen, one would expect the Cruz camp to do preemptive damage control – a short, unambiguous affidavit from Mrs. Cruz, coupled with open-ended authorization to request relevant information and documents (e.g. Cruz family visa records) DIRECTLY from the Canadian government.

If Cruz does NOT get pro-active on this, we should all be aware that the media will hound him relentlessly on this point. They will NOT give him a pass, precisely because he has a Hispanic name without being a Democrat.

Guardian Angel on March 8, 2016 at 9:17 pm

I don’t know how you can possibly be considering Trump. This guy is a liberal. He is pro-abortion and pro-gay marriage. He can lie all he wants. He told the gay actor George Takei that he went to a gay marriage and it was a “beautiful thing.” He doesn’t seem to have any problems with one of our biggest enemies, Vladmir Putin. He says he will be “neutral” between Israel and the terrorist Palestinian state. He says he was against the Iraq war but there is no evidence of that anywhere in the media record. Another lie. Or this supposed “tough guy” was just afraid to come out against it. Basically all this guy does is build hotels for rich people and yet somehow we are supposed to believe that he is this incredible genius that is going to “save” America. This a guy who thinks people are so stupid (and he is probably right)that they will buy a vodka with his name on it despite that fact that Trump doesn’t alcohol. You can’t make this crap up! He’s attacking the Japanese just like he is China. Japan is a country with a 10 trillion dollar debt, among other problems, but Trump will have no problem starting a trade war with them and any other number of countries. I’m just wondering how much all of these Trump supporters are going enjoy paying all of the higher prices we are going to end up with if he puts his rhetoric into action. I will never vote for this lying lowlife. I am not going to put my principles to the side. This country is self-destructing just like every other world power has done in the past. God has ordained it and it will come to pass.

DM: All good points. But I could make a list as long for Ted Cruz, who has some dangerous people behind him and hasn’t explained why he voted to make it easy for Obama to push through the Iran deal. I would disagree on one thing: I do remember that Trump attacked Elisabeth Hasselbeck when she was feuding with Rosie O’Donnell on “The View” (I think back in 2006 or 2007) about the Iraq War, and he said it was a dumb war that he opposed. Regardless, that isn’t the important point to me. I hate him. But I hate the establishment, like Mitt Romney and Karl Rove, telling me for whom to vote. As you know, I’ve been saying for years on this site that I hated Trump and that I fear he’s a liberal. But so are the establishment RINOs, and I want them to be defeated. This is about protest voting, not voting *for* Trump. DS

The two front-runners are the most conceited, self-interested candidates in the field.

I don’t understand it. I’m just trying to cope with it.

That’s the way it is.

P.S. I voted for Sanders today. I don’t like him. I calculate that a vote against Hillary Rodham now is worth two votes against her in November.

NotUrFan writes…”Anyone can use foul language, and that is NOT a reason to vote for someone to be president. I’d want my president to be better than some classless ignorant schmuck…”

That’s all fine and dandy, except that the comparatively ‘civil’ impotent idiots like McCain and Romney refused to stand up to Obama and therefore handed the last 7 years over to the control of a ‘classless ignorant schmuck’ who can (and does) only feign any kind of superiority.

The Trump candidacy was CREATED by two corrupt political parties which apparently scheme together behind the scenes to maintain some kind of control. He is the wake up call that this country deserves.

Obama, Hillary, Kerry, etc have sold out their country and brought us close to total ruin. Trump’s merely giving voters hope that there’s something better though, admittedly, there are some questions. Anything is better than the current admin.

Likewise, Conservative voters are sending a yuuuuge message to the GOPe, employing Trump as their billboard, that they won’t tolerate the lies, corruption, impotence and cloned candidates they’ve offered over the last two decades. Apparently, the Elephant’s reading comprehension is lacking. If there were true, viable conservative options Trump would be a non-issue.

I once worked for a boss (obv a salesman, which is what politicians have become, anyway) who put it this way…

“You can tell someone to go to hell, but if you tell them in the right way they’ll look forward to the trip.”

I’m no Trump fan, but at this point, I’ll settle for vulgarity and the promise of something better.

Donald is catching slack for showing his products during his speech. The articles don’t reference the fact that Romney disparaged Trump regarding these products saying they were all defunct.

I know his products aren’t important but he just merked Romney, killed him and made him look like a mis-informed liar. I laughed so hard. Trump came out and said here’s every thing Mitt said was defunct. Nah not so much, Mitt. Trump was smooth about it too. What dummies

MrBigBrain on March 9, 2016 at 1:44 am

President Theodore Roosevelt’s foreign policy: “speak softly, and carry a big stick.”

Trump’s will be Speak loudly and then make a deal that benefits Trump and our enemies, and then tell the American people it was the most ‘beautiful’ deal ever, and 1/3 of Americans will buy it.
