My friend, Jeopardy champion Adam Taxin, and I discussed the deaths of anti-Israel/anti-Semitic actor Alan Rickman and Al-Jazeera America, as well as the death of former Nebraska and NFL player Lawrence Phillips, today. We also discussed anti-Semitic David Shuster, whose career temporarily dies with Al-Jazeera America and my interaction with former Nebraska coach and Congressman Tom Osborne. Take a listen . . .

BTW, unlike Adam, I am not sympathetic to anyone to whom former Philadelphia Eagles Coach Dick Vermeil is sympathetic, as I’ve noted on this site. He’s been sympathetic to a number of thugs.

* Alan Rickman’s hatred of Israel;

* Lawrence Phillips in life (his mother wrote me) and death; and

* Buh-Bye, Al-Jazeera America (but the WSJ says it was the price of oil).

Alan Rickman, he of NON-blessed memory.

No, I am not going to mourn the death of such an antisemitic individual. He can go where Rachel Corrie is.

As for al-Jazeera, it was a foreign import from Qatar that was of little value. It came across as a shabbier version of CNN. As long as it did not impact Islam, its news coverage was unremittingly far left and anti-Western Al-Jazeera made MSNBC seem like an unbiased source by comparison.

I’ll admit that Rickman was pretty good as Severus Snape in the “Harry Potter” flicks. As for putting on that Rachel Corrie play, well…not so much.

Al-Jazeera’s dead? Seriously?!!??!!!

Every time I see the name Al-Jazeera I turn my head away, so I probably missed that one.

Well, . . .

good riddance, then.

Per ‘Steve G’, wouldn’t the proper “tribute” to Mr. Rickman in this case be yimach shmo ve-zichro? As well as “R.I.H.”?

Dear Debbie: In your dialogue, you refer to “Palestinian” terrorists. I believe you mean ARAB terrorists.

Also, while my reaction to the death of Alan Rickman was “Good riddance to bad rubbish,” I refrained from posting that on the Internet, where a member of his family might see it.

Why thank you, Miranda, for continuing to post your reprimands of Debbie on her own site. I would have banned you years ago as you contribute almost nothing of value and are a self-important ….

Dear skzion: I admire and agree with Debbie on most points. I would have thought that she, of all people, would want to remind her readers that the now-so-called “Palestinians” are historically, culturally and linguistically ARABS, and in living memory, everybody called them that.

When Alan Rickman died, I sent Debbie an email saying “Good riddance to bad rubbish.” I just didn’t like the idea of posint such a comment on the Internet, where one of his family members might read it.

CORRECTION: When Alan Rickman died, I sent Debbie an email saying “Good riddance to bad rubbish.” I just didn’t like the idea of posting such a comment on the Internet, where one of his family members might read it.

In other words, MRS, you did exactly what I said you did. If Debbie had not posted this, many of us might have thought the occasion of this guy’s death a sad one.

Thanks for informing me of Alan Rickman’s anti-Israel inclinations. He was a talented actor, however, and I fortunately saw his performances in films such as “Snow Cake”, “Die Hard”, and Truly, Madly, Deeply” before your information would have ruined those films and the likability of his character roles for me.

Too bad Rickman is gone…..he was a talented actor.

Too bad he was a jew hater. I’ll never watch a film of his again.

Thanks for the info Deb.
