VIDEO: Schlussel & Adam Taxin on Bill Cosby, Bill Clinton & Rape

By Debbie Schlussel

Jeopardy Champion and friend Adam Taxin and I discussed Bill Cosby, Bill Clinton, and rape, last week, before others (like Donald Trump) made the Cosby/Clinton comparison, as Adam and I did here. Watch/listen (NSFW – Not Safe For Work) . . .

And, by the way, I disagree with Adam. I do believe the Eddie Murphy/transsexual prostitute moment is a blight on his character, if not his career (which took a nosedive afterward and never came back), though, today, that’s a sign of “enlightenment” in our declining, depraved culture.

Not to defend Cosby’s actions in the least, but it’s interesting that those in the media cheering the current prosecution against him are the same ones who are all lecturing us to “get over it” and “move on” with regard to another sleazebag who’d not only drugged and raped a female, but one who was underaged – Roman Polanski. (And that’s not counting Whoopi Goldberg’s gratuitous “rape rape” comment.) They bring up Polanski’s age to justify their attitude, but that didn’t come up in their minds viz Cosby. Just sayin’.

hillary hussein omama was quick to jump on the rape-train-of-50 against Cosby but so conveniently ignored the sexual misconduct by her hubby perpetrated on lewinsky, Jennifer Flowers, Juanita Brodderick, Kathleen Willey and Paula Jones while the rapist in the oval office lead this country

I find it curious that the famous black rapist gets crucified in the media and charged but that the white rapists (Polanski and Clinton) have been given a pass by the supposedly politically correct media. They should all have been charged and tried.

This might be a case of actual racism on the part of the Left. The conduct of Bill Cosby and Bill Clinton seems to be more or less the same when they encounter vulnerable females.

“This might be a case of actual racism on the part of the Left.”

Ain’t no doubt about it. Dems/Libs constitute the party of racism. They’re ensconced at the end of the spectrum opposite of colorblind–ALL THEY CAN SEE IS COLOR. In other words, no one can have an opinion based on anything but color or race if it doesn’t follow Dem Dogma or Lib Theology.

A difference is that Roman Polanski pleaded guilty in a plea bargain, but left the States before the final sentencing.

Adam Taxin is a great guy.

I had him over at my place last summer for Shabbat dinner.

The reason the case against Cosby has taken so many years to finally result in charges is that the original District Attorney at the time, Bruce Castor, declined to believe Andrea Constrand’s story. Also, Castor had an indirect relationship with Cosby because Castor’s father represented the seller of the house in Elkins Park PA to Cosby and that house was where the alleged crime against Constrand took place. Castor arranged a sale price for the house to Cosby that was 18% less than Castor’s father’s client paid for it, even though property values had been rising in that area at the time. And, of course, Cosby’s star power at the time gave him additional immunity. Here’s a link about that: http://beldar.blogs.com/beldarblog/2005/02/if_theres_no_fi.html

Speaking of Bill Clinton, I remember once hearing Joy Behar say that the former President gets pass because he likes girls with big rear ends.

I have been screaming SETTLE THIS CASE COSBY from Day 1 even if you’re innocent. The stink will never leave. You have the money. You don’t have brains. If he was my client, he’d settle or get another attorney.

Next, Cosby will sue his attorney for malpractice because it is. I’d have a written letter on file proving that I warned him, and he refused to take my advice. But, then, I would have fired my client. No money is worth this stink.

Cosby is an idiot. His attorney is a bigger idiot.

Cosby has upset the powers that be. That’s why it has all came out as widely as it has. bill clinton, had the majority backing of the media (they do protect their own). Cosby brought all this on himself. But, if ya think that it’s limited to a handful, you’re wrong. This kind of behavior has went on for many years in America. Many are blackmailed, paid off, or just enjoy this behavior. Rest assured, there are all kinds of government officials doing this and worse. The entertainment world are overflowing with perverts and such. One past example Tony Curtis. Good actor, bad personal life.

William on January 9, 2016 at 10:00 am

William, I’m curious why you bring Tony Curtis into this discussion? Although I know plenty about Curtis as an actor, I’ve heard little about his personal life that could you lead you draw any comparisons to Cosby. The bad personal things I do know about Curtis demonstrate more self-destructiveness than harm to others. When his career started to fade, he took to alcohol and cocaine. And, like many a Hollywood celebrity, his marriages (at least after Janet Leigh) were many. But he seemed to get it together personally in the later years of his life, much to his credit. So what did you have in mind about him?

Cosby, on the other hand, has always seemed to be to have a dark side to him, even before I learned about these rape cases. One event that I knew about long ago, for example, was when he was at one of Hugh Hefner’s parties at which several comics were gathered. (Hefner has always been and continues to be a big fan and supporter of comedians.) Tommy Smothers (of the then famous comedy/music duo, the Smothers Brothers) approached Cosby and congratulated him on his television series at the time, not knowing that it had just been cancelled. Cosby cursed at Smothers and walked away. Later that evening, Cosby walked up to Smothers to his back and sucker-punched him, nearly flooring Smother. I’ve met Tommy Smothers and I consider not only a top talent, but a genuine good guy, even though I don’t agree with much of his politics.

I never really heard anything bad about Bernie Schwartz either, Mr. Adamo, except for as you mentioned, the self-destructiveness.
