Schadenfreude: NBA’s Latrell Sprewell Unemployed

By
Remember Latrell Sprewell, the all around thug who choked his then-NBA coach, P.J. Carlesimo?
We can’t help but take pleasure in the NBA player’s current state of unemployment. He turned down a three-year, $21 million contract extension from the Minnesota Timberwolves, and didn’t get anything else. Plus, he refuses to work for the NBA veteran player minimum salary of $1.1 million.

Latrell Sprewell: Spoiled Brat Poster Child for NBA Thuggery Unemployed

So, now, punk Sprewell is sitting in his hometown of Milwaukee waiting for a job. So sad, too bad.

Wasn’t Chokewell, er, Sprewell the one famous for saying he couldn’t feed his family for $15 million a year?
People like Sprewell is why the NBA has a major image problem resulting in declining ratings.

Geez, there really is some sanity in pro sports after all! I’ve been waiting to see which NFL teams slobber over Terrell Owens when the Eagles dump him. Randy Moss had no difficulty getting another team to sign him.
The late Art Rooney, owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, was a man who would not put up with this kind of stuff from his players. If they were anti-social or drug users, he got rid of them. Pro sports needs more like him.

Now this is news I love to read! This dick (SPreewell) is a major reason why I have not watched an NBA telecast in more than 2 years. The best part is that I really don’t miss it. A professional sports organization that caves in to all things politically correct, caters to a membership with a collective IQ hovering at just under 70, and endorses its musical soundtrack thru the use of rap and hip-hop, a music genere and lifestyle that is an absolute celebratin of stupidity and irresponsibility. I have had my doubts about the survival of the NBA. I know that they’re hurting from a significant drop in viewership over the last 10 years! Last year’s NBA playoffs and Championship Series were the lowest watched/rated EVER! Let’s face it… The talent has diminshed. You can almost count on 1 hand the number of players that can shoot 50% from the field or shoot 80% from the free-throw line. The fundementals of the game have suffered for almost 15 years now. Now they welcome children, 17 year olds into the draft and the end result is obvious. The league now sucks!!

With as many out of wedlock kids the typical NBA player has, he probably can’t feed them with $15 million.
