HILARIOUS VIDEO: Miss Universe Host Steve Harvey Announces WRONG Winner for 3 Mins (After Endorsing Gun Control); Miss USA Calls for Gun Control, Miss France Pro-Terrorism, Miss Puerto Rico Kicked Out Over Islam in Obama-Tied PC Pageant

Miss Universe Crown Removed From Miss Colombia 3 Minutes After Steve Harvey Announced the Wrong Winner

I don’t know what’s getting worse at these beauty pageants–the moronic quality of the hosts (who can’t read English) or the political correctness. My favorite pageant moment EVER happened on TV tonight, when fluent-in-Ebonics Miss Universe host Steve Harvey demonstrated that his English reading skills are even worse than we had originally diagnosed: he read the name of the wrong winner, and Miss Colombia was wearing the crown and sash, basking in the glory, for a whole three minutes until he came back and announced he made a mistake and read the card wrong. This was after he openly called for more gun control and two contestants made ridiculous political comments earlier in the Obama-tied, PC show, plus another contestant was suspended for speaking the truth about Islam. You MUST watch the video, below, and remember, as I always say, RIF–Reading Is Fundamental!:

Um, is there a politically correct term to use instead of “[Native-American] giver,” to describe what happened here?

Keep in mind that Sofia-Vergara-lookalike Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, doesn’t speak English, so she had no clue what was going on during the three minutes that she thought she was Miss Universe and thereafter. And how awkward was it for Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo, to have to just stand there instead of claiming her crown and sash off of the Colombian chick? (Miss Colombia is much prettier than Miss Philippines, but Miss Philippines is classier and gave a VERY pro-American answer about having an American military base in her country, after initially mentioning America colonizing the Philippines.)

Later, Harvey tweeted this apology. Notice anything wrong? I guess I shouldn’t talk because I’m the queen of typos. But these weren’t typos on his part–he believes those are the proper spellings.

steveharveyapologytweet

By the way, all of this happened after a completely moronic show on which Miss USA, Olivia Jordan, called for more gun control laws, saying:

I think it’s incredibly important that all individuals have the right to protect themselves and feel safe, but I also think that sometimes we need to look at safety as a whole — more than just our personal safety. So I think we need stronger regulations.

Harvey agreed with her, and Miss France, Flora Coquerel (who is half Arabic/Muslim Beninese), said we must “listen to the terrorists.” What moronic planet are these imbeciles living on? Oh, yeah–it’s Earth. The pageant–which is no longer owned by Donald Trump–has major PC/Obama ties, detailed below.

Also, Miss Puerto Rico, Destiny Velez, was suspended from the competition for telling the truth on Islam and supporting Donald Trump on Muslim immigration. But, of course, she did the usual thing cowards do: she apologized, and it didn’t help her much.

The 20-year-old fired off a series of tweets to filmmaker Michael Moore after Moore posted a picture of himself outside Trump Tower in New York City holding a sign reading, “We are all Muslim.” Moore’s action was in response to the proposal from Republican frontrunner Donald Trump to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. Velez proceeded to tweet at Moore a picture of herself holding a sign that read “We are all believers in Christ,” saying: “Why are u defending Muslims that haven’t done nothing for the USA?” “All what Muslims have done is provided oil & terrorize this country & many others!!!!” she added.

“There’s NO comparison between Jews, Christians & Muslims. Jews nor Christians have terrorizing agendas in their sacred books.” Other tweets included: “Muslims use our constitution to terrorize USA & plant gas stations” and “All they do is build their mosques, feel offended by American values and terrorize innocent Americans and plant gas stations and get guns and kills innocent ppl and destroy precious artifacts.”

After the Miss Puerto Rico wimpanos suspended her, she backtracked:

Velez deleted her Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and Instagram and issued an apology. “I apologize to the people I have offended with my words. I am first and foremost an #UpStander and as such I stand up against bullying,” she said.

Oh, and did I mention that low-class pageant judge Perez Hilton a/k/a Mario Lavandeira Jr. announced that he’s so happy that Donald Trump no longer owns the pageant (Trump was stupid to give Hilton his break on “The Apprentice” and as a judge on his pageants to begin with)?

I’ll bet Trump is having the last laugh with this epic failure on live national TV. Remember when NBC dumped his Miss USA pageant earlier a few months ago, after Trump denounced some Mexican illegal aliens? Because of political correctness, Trump was unable to get major networks (including Rupert Murdoch’s FOX) to carry his pageants. So, he was forced to sell the pageants to WME-IMG, the agency run by CEO Ari Emanuel, Rahm Emanuel’s bro and Michael Moore’s agent. Now you know why PC rules at this pageant.

It’s ironic that some of my Twitter followers had tweeted me earlier in the show that Steve Harvey has problems reading and comprehending complete sentences and, therefore, has trouble following a teleprompter. Apparently that applies to cue cards, too.

Too bad he didn’t have Barbara Billingsley onstage as his interpreter.

“Miss Colombia is much prettier than Miss Philippines, but Miss Philippines is classier” DS
Sorry Deb, but this is why women shouldn’t judge beauty contests. I don’t know who’s classier but Miss Philippines would be my choice in the beauty department.

TS: In my opinion, Miss Colombia is more glamorous, whereas Miss Philippines is a timeless, classic beauty. When they are both 50, Miss Colombia won’t look so good, and Miss Philippines will still look very good. Beauty pageants are usually not about timeless, classic beauty. DS

OK, I watched the video and that was pretty sad, not only for the loser but the winner. Talk about taking the wind out of the sail, nice job Steve. I know some of your readers may object but this deserves a “WOW”.

theShadow on December 21, 2015 at 1:20 am

Shadow, no problem, as you didn’t start your response with the “wow.” 🙂

The pageant was a fiasco. It is also curious how that politically connected manage to acquire these things. Emanuel has a dog on his plate with this pageant.

I don’t understand why she apologized. It isn’t going to get her any good will or anything else. She would have done better to hold her ground, like Trump did with his Mexican and Muslim comments. Why do we think he is so high in the polls? If he would have caved in to pc, his poll numbers would be down there with JEB and Kasich. She should have taken a cue from that.

From what I’ve gathered, apologizing did no good for Rush Limbaugh, either, after his particular comments about Sandra Fluke, whose rejection of same was based upon her being a petty, vindictive, haughty, arrogant, nasty jerk, plus it emboldening those who seek to silence any and all opposing viewpoints to the PC leftist ideology – I speak in particular of an “op-ed” piece penned after Rush’s apology (which sounded for all the world like he did so with a gun pointed at his head as if he were held hostage) by three hags who could qualify as the wicked stepmother and stepsisters in a new production of “Cinderella,” Gloria Steinem, “Hanoi Jane” Fonda and Robin Morgan who, in that piece, demanded Limbaugh be fired.

Why give this “show” so much publicity. I’m sure about 2 million bothered to watch.

First things first. Steve Harvey is an ardent Odumbo supporter so him screwing the pooch on the Ms. Universe is just pure schadenfreude. The idgit was the least funny in the Original Kings of Comedy. Second it was just more PC crapola from Ms. America about gun control. Someone should clue this moronette in on the fact that criminals and terrorists don’t give a rip about gun control laws. Well at least when Miss Jordan’s time is up being Miss Airhead, er, I mean Miss America she can always go work at Faux News. She can go a replace Jeb cheerleader Dana Parino on The Five so that lout Gutfield will have someone else to gawk at. Third Miss France should know that as a compassionate man I would listen to the terrorists. That is listen to them scream from being shot before they blow up our armed forces or shoot up a Christmas party. You’re right Debbie what planet is that dim bulb from? Fourth Miss Puerto Rico shouldn’t have apologized about Muslims. She was right on point. Hey if the dirt bags little feelings are getting hurt tell you what. Stop committing acts of terror here and elsewhere in the name of your religion and we Americans will stop thinking that you’re backward stinking savages. How’s that sound Mooohamed. No apologies here. Fifth What an ungrateful limp wristed douchebag “Paris Hilton” is. Trump gave this yammering dung beetle a break back in 2009 during the Miss USA Carrie Prejean fiasco. Here’s someone Jeb Bush could really call a jerk.

Wow, that was cringe-worthy.

Hillel on December 21, 2015 at 1:00 pm

Hillel, when Debbie does a column that attracts hundreds of morons from some Facebook group, half of whom start their comments with “wow,” you’ll never start a comment with that word again. Just you wait.

More semantic clutter from Harvey and his handlers. He made, er um, an ‘honest mistake’. So taking him at face value, there was no fraud involved, only incompetence. Does that make it better? And affirmative action has now become multi-faceted. Layer upon layer.

Affirmative action and political correctness go hand in hand. The elite will fight as hard to preserve affirmative action as they are fighting to preserve illegal immigration, and foreign immigrants taking jobs away from American workers.

MOM! MOM! MOM!

Perhaps Steve Harvey should have said a prayer before announcing the Winner? Or, had something to eat to increase his brain sugar level?

ps: “MOM” is “WOW” upside down!!!!!

Miss USA was sexiest, but Colombia was *much* prettier than Philippines.

DS_ROCKS! on December 21, 2015 at 3:53 pm

Stevie ( no wonder ) Hah-vee
is a perfect example of what gun control obsession can do to your brain.

Keep up the good work Stevie,
can you work racism into the gun control theme ?

JayPee on December 21, 2015 at 4:39 pm

Miss Puerto Rico’s original comment was spot on. She should re-issue her statement, since she has gained nothing by her apology. In fact, she should take a page out of Trump! And incidentally, he hates Fox for pretty good reasons.

Miss Columbia? She’s from DC or SC? All the cities w/ that name in the US are spelt that way, but that country on the border of South and North America is spelt Colombia.

I usually misspell Philippines w/ 2 L’s instead of 2 P’s, but the above spelling of that country made no sense whatsoever.

Infidel on December 21, 2015 at 5:16 pm

theShadow, I think Miss Philippines would have looked better had her hair been straight and flowing down her shoulders, instead of being tied in a bun

Infidel on December 21, 2015 at 5:18 pm

Lots of people type flawlessly. Most seem to prioritize that over the ability to think.

Phil Lipofsky on December 22, 2015 at 11:09 am

steve Harvey screwed up big time. Look this is a guy who gets paid BIG BUCKS to get things right. He got things WRONG. Adios Steve, time for new fresh faces that can do it RIGHT. No excuse for this kind of idiotic behavior when you are getting paid this kind of money. Please, get this guy outta there and replace him with someone..hopefully a nice woman—who isn’t so stupid as to do what Harvey did!!!!!!!!! You are FIRED Harvey! Never again should you be ever given the privilege of crowning a miss universe. Good bye!

Germanygonedownhill on December 23, 2015 at 5:09 am

“Miss Philippians”? “ColUmbia”? The guy can’t get anything right.

Dan on December 24, 2015 at 6:51 pm

It has become mine also one of the favorite moments of TV history. I mean, no one can understand how miss columbia would be feeling now, like she won and then she looses it. Hillarious.

prashant on December 29, 2015 at 1:57 pm

It would seem in the grander scheme of things, Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines, in what they represented in terms of beauty, seemed more akin to two of the characters from “Gilligan’s Island,” Ginger and Mary Ann – with Miss Colombia being somewhat the former and Miss Philippines the latter. Dawn Wells, who played Mary Ann throughout all the time the show was in production and all its other configurations, put it thus: “Ginger [read: Miss Colombia] is a one-night stand, while Mary Ann [read: Miss Philippines] is for a lifetime.” And it has shown in the two actresses who played those respective roles later in life, with Ms. Wells still maintaining a “timeless, classic beauty” – while Tina Louise, who played the “glamorous” Ginger, seems to look in recent photos like she’s seen better days – which is what seems to be predicted for Miss Colombia.
