Guess Who Violent Arabs on Southwest Flight to Chicago Were? Not Who You Think

By Debbie Schlussel

southwestislamiccrescent.jpg

A number of readers have sent me a story about six “Muslims” who were arrested by the FBI for being violent and taunting passengers and flight crew on a Southwest Airlines flight to Chicago on Monday. And a number of clueless blogs and websites have “reported” that the men are Muslim. But in fact, they are not. Being an expert on Islam, Islamic terrorism, the Middle East, and Middle Eastern culture (unlike many of the wannabes and pretenders), I know that most, if not all, of the men involved are Christian Iraqis. And this is the problem with absorbing hundreds of thousands of Arab immigrants into our country, whether or not they are Christian or Muslim. They have Arab values antithetical to American ones. On the other hand, their treatment by the FBI is illustrative of how the FBI deals with Christian disrupters of flights versus Muslims.

On the flight from San Diego to Chicago, the six men–all of them in their 20s–were rude to stewardesses (yeah, I know, it’s “flight attendants,” but I’m not PC), refused to obey instructions, and became violent when their requests for alcohol were denied.

But, here’s the thing, at least five of the six passengers are Christian, if not all of them. I know from their names and from where they live. They are from San Diego, home to the second largest American population of Chaldeans–Iraqi Christians. (The Detroit area is home to the largest Chaldean population.) Yes, there are some Muslims there, and at least one of these men, Wasim Imad Shaker, may be Muslim. But they play on a soccer team, and Chaldean soccer teams are common. The rest of the men are more likely Christian. For certain, Jonathan Khalid Petras and Saiman Hermez are. Petras is a Christian last name, and Hermez is a common Chaldean surname.

The six, said to be members of a San Diego area soccer team, were subsequently arrested and charged with “interference with a flight crew and abetting.” Basically, according to Hendricks per Southwest, the passengers -Khalid Yohana, 19; Wasim Imad Shaker, 23; Essa Solaqa, 20; Ghazwan Assad Shaba, 21; Jonathan Khalid Petras, 20; and Saiman Hermez, 19- were refusing orders from the flight attendants, challenging their authority and being mean to other passengers.

One flight attendant said that during the emergency demonstration prior to takeoff, the six “were asked numerous times to put their seat backs and tray tables up, which is required for takeoff of the aircraft, to which they verbally responded ‘no.'” . . .

“Later, while the flight attendants were taking drink orders, the six passengers started talking loudly and using profanity,” Hendricks said in his affidavit. The flight attendant “asked them to quiet down and they responded, ‘We can be as loud as we want and do whatever the [expletive] we want on here. You can’t make us listen.'” When the flight attendant “said they couldn’t do that, they lunged forward in their seats and said, ‘We can do whatever we want on here.'” That flight attendant denied their request for alcohol. They “became aggressive by lunging forward” at the flight attendant, who “stated she felt threatened and that they were escalating their aggressive behavior.” . . .

“They accused the attendants of being racist” and called the second flight attendant a “pig” as she walked away. The passengers then told a third flight attendant “that they could do whatever they wanted to because they bought a ticket.” The passengers “did not comply with anything they were asked to do and were repeatedly standing up and becoming increasing louder. Due to the increase in their non-compliant and unpredictable behavior,” one flight attendant “felt uncomfortable and saw that they were attempting to incite other passengers to join in their non-compliant behavior.” A flight attendant asked the pilots to divert the aircraft. . . .

A passenger across the aisle from the six passengers heard them call the flight attendant a racist and pig. “She heard them tell each other to throw gang signs, and then saw them using their hands to gesture gang signs. After using the bathroom, one of the passengers leaned towards the female passengers and called her a [expletive], ‘ugly ass’ and ugly.’ He then gave her the middle finger gesture. The passenger began to cry and was shaking. She contacted the flight attendants and was moved to another seat.”

Like I said, doesn’t matter if they are Muslim or Christian. They are Christian but behave like Muslims because that’s their culture. The Muslim-dominated Arab culture. That’s how they were raised.

I find it interesting, though, that the six men were immediately arrested by the FBI and charged. They deserved it. But this isn’t usually the case with Muslims who are clearly testing the system with jihadic dry runs, when they, too, clearly deserved to be arrested and charged. Those men are usually released and never charged, and we are usually lectured by the feds with the usual “nothing to see here, move along” BS. Not so here, because these were Christian Arabs seeking alcohol–you know, the larger national security problem (as opposed to Muslim jihad).

Most Chaldeans do not identify as Arabs (they say they are a distinct culture and generally are), but some do. Some are very anti-Semitic and anti-Israel because, for the most part, they’ve adopted Arab and Muslim mores and culture. For instance, the sleazy self-appointed chief of Chaldeans in Detroit, Martin Manna, attacked me in the Detroit media as a “racist” when I stopped the FBI from giving an award to Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine Islamic terrorist Imad Hamad. Manna, co-publisher of the Chaldean News, also served on the board of the Muslim-dominated, anti-Christian, anti-Israel, and anti-Semitic Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS), a tax-funded welfare agency that brings many Muslim illegal aliens into the country and helps them stay here. ACCESS also funded and sponsored an anti-Semitic “Divestment” (from Israel) conference at the University of Michigan, where “annihilate the Jews!” was shouted and where convicted Islamic terrorist and Islamic Jihad terrorist group founder Sami Al-Arian was the keynote speaker. ACCESS runs an anti-Israel museum, as well, and its founder, Ismael Ahmed, said he created the organization to boycott Israel.

Michael Sarafa, a wealthy lawyer, banker, and co-publisher of the Chaldean News, also served on the board of ACCESS. He has repeatedly said that Chaldeans are Arabs and has made many statements identifying with extremist Muslims and their causes. In his “writings,” he’s attacked Americans and defended and praised extremist Muslims. He also criticized “Israeli abuse relative to the Palestinian conflict” (um, it’s TERRORISM, Mike!) and has dismissed Palestinian terrorism as “the various Palestinian strategies employed over the years in the name of being liberated from occupation.” And I’ve been on the receiving end of his dhimmi-esque Islamo-pandering hate because I wrote about Islamic extremism. In his world, despite ISIS slaughtering his people in the name of Islam, there is no Islamic extremism, just “loyal Arab Americans.”

Another self-appointed Chaldean leader, Wendy Acho, also served on ACCESS’ board and lied about it when I confronted her. She is also on the board of the American-Arab Chamber of Commerce, founded by a Shi’ite Muslim agent of Hezbollah who said he founded the group to sway American foreign policy against Israel. Dr. Jakob Mansour, a Chaldean doctor who headed the Chaldean Federation of America, is also tight with ACCESS and in bed with Muslims. I’ve had Chaldeans (and Assyrians–who are very similar) e-mail me in agreement about Muslims, but then, not knowing I’m Jewish, also attacks Jews and Israel. This is their culture. This is who they are, whether or not they are Christian.

And this goes to my point about immigration. While I would rather have more Arab Christians as immigrants to America than Muslims, I’d rather have less immigrants from the Middle East (or anywhere else) period. We have enough immigrants. Far too many. And we’re doing nothing to make them assimilate to our culture and values. Arab Christians have Arab and Middle Eastern values (and they usually identify with and defend Muslims, even on U.S. soil-eEspecially on U.S. soil). And the more of them we take in the more difficult it will be for us to absorb them, the less likely it will be that they will assimilate to American culture and values. In fact, we’ve seen that it’s mostly been the other way around–they impose their values on us and force us to assimilate to them.

While I’m sad about what’s happening to Christians in the Middle East, I’m not that sad. They were historically Jew-haters who sided with and appeased Muslims every step of the way. And now we are seeing how that’s worked out for them. They’re also people–whether they are Copts or Catholics–who chose Muslim-appeasing leaders and Popes. And, again, now we are seeing how that worked for them. Not very well. They made bets on the wrong side. And now they are reaping the rewards of their historical Jew-hatred and Islamo-pandering. No tears from me. It’s not my fault that ISIS is slaughtering them. And it doesn’t mean that because that’s happening that we need to continue to open our borders wide open for more and more of them.

The six men on the flight who disrespected the flight attendants and were violent and unruly weren’t Muslim. But they were and are Arabs, with Arab values against women and American authority and rules (hey, just like the Black Lives Matter crowd!). And they and their ilk continue to bring their anti-women, backward, warring mindsets to our soil in droves.

What happened on that flight to Chicago was only a symptom of the immigration disaster that it’s far too late to fix. That they are nominally Christian is a distinction without a difference here.

They sound like real vermin. Also, it illustrates once again what happens when you indiscriminately allow people to migrate to the United States. It should be remembered that Islamic culture infected Spain for centuries, and that this had a baleful impact on that country long after those Moros were expelled.

A truly authentic follower of Jesus Christ could never be against the Jews or Israel.

Jesus Christ was born and raised a Jew, living and teaching throughout Israel.

We Christians got our Holy Bible from the Jews, and Christians and Jews worship the same Heavenly Father, and obey the same Ten Commandments.

Many of the tourist sites in Israel are sacred to both Christian and Jew, and unlike Arab Moslems, we Christians, along with the Jews, believe in sharing our values, and living together in peace.

True Christians and Jews (unfortunately, there are many pretenders) revere life, love, and family.

Moslems are a violent cult deliberately perpetuating ignorance, death, and sexual perversion.

When a brother is lost, or strays from the path of righteousness, Christians and Jews weep, and hope for their eventual redemption.

On the other hand, Moslems in that same situation, will mock and rejoice, certain that Allah will cast that lost and straying soul into Hell.

Debbie,

Thanks for still writing it!

In the Middle East, terrorism and religion aren’t mutually exclusive.

George Habash the founder of the violent PFLP, was a Christian Arab.

Father Hilarion Cappuci smuggled arms to the PLO and identified with Muslim Arab terrorist aims to destroy Israel.

A lot of Christian Arabs hate Jews and are spear carriers for Islamic terrorists. They share their values and have a mutual hatred, for the West, too.

Your research throws the incident in a new light because it raised questions about who they did a “run dry” for and testing the system – but also about why the FBI decided to charge them.

I find it interesting the Christian angle wasn’t mentioned because the absence of religious affiliation is usually a clue Arab terrorists are Muslim. Or may its because lazy and uninformed reporters didn’t go as far as you did – good work! You won’t find this in the mainstream mass media, for different reasons.

Its disturbing and it tells us that Christian Arabs identify far more with being Arab and Muslim extremist values than they do with Christianity and being American.

Yup, they were terrorists by their behavior even if they didn’t blow up a plane of passengers and they deserved to have the book thrown at them. And Debbie is right we need to halt immigration if we’re going to preserve America.

We only have to look at European countries like Hungary now trying desperately to keep the savages of the Middle East out. Unfortunately, we keep bringing them and the backward values they bring along with them here and incidents like Monday’s with Southwest Airlines, we haven’t seen the last of them.

NF: As you know from being a longtime reader of this site, I’ve written about Habash, Wadih Haddad, Attalah Hanna, and many other Christians who were anti-Israel terrorists working on behalf of Palestinians, including a Christian HAMAS terrorist. DS

Arabian culture is not congruent with American culture. Try talking to ANY Arab about feminism, regardless of religious affiliation.

They are BIG TIME different and refuse to assimilate.

    Bring back the old days.

If the strangers do not want to be one of us, they must leave.
deportation, send back to sender, or just plain left adrift at sea.

If you cannot accept us and our culture for what we are AND BE GRATEFULL YOU’RE ALLOWED TO BE HERE.

You then have no place here and
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR CONTINUED EXISTENCE.

i grew up in a suburb next to detroit, and attended bishop gallagher high school, which was a private catholic school, but there were many chaldean students there. the all were from wealthy families like the elias family, which has owned most of the big boy restaurants in michigan since the 50’s. my father, who has been in the detroit-area food business, knew all of the senior elias brothers.

anyway, i had a tough time as a student at BGHS because there were many special cliques, mostly tight-knit italian family’s who were keen to bully outsiders, like myself. i’d had a fight with one of the school bullies, an italian kid, and the focus on me intensified… until, one day, paul elias (yes, of the elias brother clan) invited me to sit with him at lunch. the chaldean clique was immune from my dago friends and when paul learned that my dad and his family knew each other from way back, the dago’s were told to leave me alone. paul was a golden gloves boxer, i was a tae kwon do student, and post-high school he and i had frequent workouts/sparring sessions at a local gym.

thanks paul, you are a class act.

It’s all over the local news here. “Racial profiling.” I’m not surprised then that C.A.I.R. doesn’t really care. Wait, does that make it double-reversed, racial non-pandering? Thanks for the insight Debbie.

Sorry. But, as an American Christian, I RUN THE OTHER WAY EVERYTIME I MEET A “FOREIGN CHRISTIAN”. Regretfully in my experience, they are NOT THE SAME. You cannot hate Israel EVER.

Many so-called “christian” converts from islam are NOT christians at all – they are stealth muslims, carrying out their objective of demonizing the people of Christ from within.

In the midst of all this is all that bellyaching about the Syrian baby washed up on Turkey’s shore. Suddenly, everybody is demanding that the EU and the US take them in. Never mind what actually happens when they do.

If they are fleeing a war, why don’t they go to similar countries where it’ll be easier to re-adjust? Like Saudi Arabia or Emirates? Still Sunni Arabs, still Muslim – they won’t have to demand that their new countries adapt Muzzie norms – it’ll be there ready for them. Or if they are fleeing to Turkey, stop THERE. Fellow Muzzies, if not Arabs, and Turkey has been secretly more supportive of ISIS than they’d admit, otherwise it would have been impossible for foreign converts to Islam to go to Syria via Turkey.

I don’t sympathize w/ the Syrians or any other Muslims who are at the receiving end of either Assad or ISIS. None of them are really the ‘live & let live’ type who’d be happy to let others follow their own versions of Islam. All of them are fanatics, and the reason ISIS has grown the way it has is that Sunni Arabs – both Iraqi and Syrian – support it. And those are the majority of the people fleeing into Turkey or Hungary.

Regardless of what Europe does, the US shouldn’t take in any more of those, and in fact, look at deporting the ones already here. These ‘refugees’ will soon re-create past events like in the Boston Marathon, Oklahoma City beheading and others like it. Just tell the EU to either send them back to Turkey, or if they have to take them in, deal w/ it themselves. If the UN has to be involved, tell the Arab states floating on oil – Saudi Arabia, Emirates, Libya, Kuwait, et al to take them.

Infidel on September 5, 2015 at 9:10 am

Too bad, these “christians”, didn’t act like real Christians. There are many who claim they are Christian, but their lives don’t show it. Because they are sprinkled, or a few words are said over them, or even repeat words on a sheet of paper or eat a cracker. I’m with you on the PC. Stewardess. I’ll ad FireMAN to that list myself. True Godly Christians, love Israel and the Jewish/Hebrew people. The Lord will put it in their hearts to do this. IF, these men are truly Christians, then they have wandered from the fold. Good Article, Miss Debbie.

“Christian” in the middle east means only that your ancestors got raped by crusaders.. Some of the Palestinians, like the ‘grand mufti’ who Hitler loved, have blue eyes from those crusaders… Presumably it does not affect the likelihood of raping and/or exploding stuff

I feel sorry for them, Debbie. They can’t help it if their whole culture is hate, lies and propaganda. The pro-Arab leftwingers in Europe, the ones who pretend to be civilized, who have access to facts and who still condemn Israel, are the ones I will have no pity for if they ever get their wish and Israel is destroyed. They call Israel an apartheid country when they have access to the Internet and could very easily find out that the Arabs in Israel enjoy full civil rights, and that Israel has no miscegentation laws. They don’t care about the now-so-called “Palestinians,” except as cat’s paws to finish off Israel for them. If they really wanted to help the “Palestinians,” they would say “The ‘Palestinians’ are Arabs and the Arab states should cut the bull**** and take them in.” If the European left wing BDSers ever get their wish, and Israel is destroyed, the Islamofascists will be free to concentrate on the E.U. The E.U. couldn’t run a lemonade stand, much less a war. The Arabs will take over Europe and behave like Arabs-to the lefties, among other people-and the lefties will get no sympathy from me.

As Debbie says, the U.S. has too many illegal aliens already, and especially far too many immigrants from Muslim countries who have often absorbed Muslim culture even if they are from non-Muslim ethnic groups.

Massive Muslim immigration is NOT JUST HAPPENING – some powerful forces are making this happen, for their own pernicious ends. Note, for example, that Syrian migration to Europe did not start in earnest until this year even though the civil war has been underway since 2011.

Interestingly, in Germany, the head of the Central Council of Muslims has urged the institution of basic training in concepts of citizenship to be administered immediately to all arriving Muslim refugees. (Suicidal Germany officially expects to take in 800,000 “refugees” this year, mostly Muslim men.)

As a former Detroiter I remember all of the Party Stores & Service Stations are run by Chaldean’s. I had a handful of stores that I frequented. Kenny, Sammi, Jonni were all Chaldean’s who ran the stores. They had their crosses & crucifix’s in their stores. Seemed like decent people.

We are also seeing how things are working out for the 77% of American Jewish voters who supported Barack O’Bama’s election to the Presidency. Just sayin’.
