Remembering the REAL King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Extremist Extraordinaire
I would say it’s hilarious the way the late Saudi King Abdullah is being eulogized. But it’s not funny. It’s sad and disgusting. That’s because the truth of it all is the exact opposite. And because Americans–especially the news media, including FOX News–have a short memory. Here’s what I remember about King Abdullah, which apparently everyone else forgot.
I remember the King Abdullah whose most treasured possession was a dagger given by Adolf Hitler to the Saudis as a token of Jew-killing.
I remember when then-Crown-Prince Abdullah visited then-President George W. Bush at his Crawford, Texas ranch in April 2005. At the time, Abdullah was already the de facto Saudi King, as his half-bro, King Fahd, was unable to function and near death as a result of a stroke. As you may recall, Abdullah insisted that no women be in the air traffic control tower OR on the tarmac at the small Waco, Texas airport. This is the guy who is so orthodox in his Islamic views that no females were allowed to be present. And, in a stark violation of U.S. civil rights laws, President Bush and his minions complied. And Bush smooched him like they were lovers at a “Frankie Goes to Hollywood” reunion concert.
I also remember that, despite their aversion to women in any position of authority or security at the Waco airport, Abdullah’s Saudi posse holed up at the Mansion on Turtle Creek, the Hotel Crescent Court, and the Four Seasons Hotel, where, as the stories go, they liquored it up and went to strip clubs–you know, where women were taking it all (or most of it) off. Shocker: these Muslims were (and are) hypocrites.
I remember that Abdullah headed Saudi Arabia when they had Imad Mughniyeh, the mastermind of Hezbollah’s terrorist operations, in his country and did nothing to capture and turn him over to the West to face justice. Mughniyeh masterminded many terrorist attacks on Americans, including the bombing of the U.S. Marines barracks and Embassy in Beirut in which over 300 were murdered; the torture murders of Navy diver Robert Dean Stethem, CIA Station Chief William Buckley, and Col. Rich Higgins; and many other murderous operations against Americans. King Abdullah let Mughniyeh go . . . so that he could plan further operations, and the Saudis did this despite American appeals to turn Mughniyeh over for trial. The Saudis refused. And this went against Abdullah’s professed Sunni war against Shi’ite Iran, as Shi’ite Mughniyeh was Iran’s chief terrorist in the Middle East at the time. (Mughniyeh was later killed in a car bomb reportedly done by the Mossad. Israel always has to do clean up on Aisle 8–which is every aisle of the Middle East.)
I remember when King Abdullah secured tens of thousands of Saudi-sponsored student visas from President Bush, with Saudi students now making up over 100,000 of the U.S. population at any one time. A number of them have been involved in terrorist operations for Al-Qaeda and Al-Qaeda related organizations. And when they’ve been convicted of crimes, as Homaidan Al-Turki was for raping and torturing his Asian Muslim maid (he was also under FBI investigation for terrorist recruiting), the Saudis demanded we apologize to them. Yes, King Abdullah’s Saudis. In fact, Colorado’s then-Attorney-General flew to the Kingdom to apologize to King Abdullah for the conviction.
We needed King Abdullah as a cold ally because of the oil–and more importantly, the assets–the Saudis control in America. They own large chunks of American businesses and have a lot of cash in our banks. If they withdrew large segments of those funds and investments, it could crash the U.S. economy. Plus we needed Abdullah’s pass-fake on fighting extremists in his country. He, like his predecessors, with a nod and a wink, pretended to fight extremists on his soil, even as his minions, including his relative and Ambassador to the U.S., Prince Bandar, had his wife, Princess Haifa Al-Faisal, previously paying the 9/11 hijackers’ rent and expenses.
But we need the Saudi monarchs in power because if they fall, the Al-Qaeda and ISIS factions they pretend to oppose, will take over. And that is partly why they throw bones to these extremists. The majority of Saudis on the street are Bin Ladenists and ISIS-lovers at heart.
So, while we need the stability and order of the Saudi royals, that doesn’t mean we need to pretend they are saints. We need to recognize who they really are.
And that starts with King Abdullah. He may be six feet under. But, sadly, his memory in the public statements of the Obamaniks and mainstream media, including FOX News, goes well beyond lip service, and far too deep into the anal cavity.
King Abdullah was an enabler of terrorists, even as we pretend that he helped America fight them. And he had a personal love affair with the same extremism terrorists embrace. Just as ISIS wants women as baby incubators and cooks, Abdullah wanted them off the tarmac and grounds of the Waco airport and on the stripper poles of Texas. And, in contrast to his image as a bulwark against extremism, he was a guy who loved reminders of Hitler’s Holocaust.
That’s who King Abdullah was. Got that?

Debbie, I disagree that we need the Fahds, Abdullahs, Salmans or other members of the Saudi royal family in power. As you point out, their ‘opposition’ to al Qaeda or ISIS or any other Jihadi group is just a charade.
I’m fine w/ letting these Jihadis take over Riyadh – it’s not like that country ain’t an Islamic shithole already. Just turn off all the immigration of their people to the US, and boot out any of their people here who violate any law – like Homaidan Al-Turki or the many like him. I mean, in what way would living in Riyadh be much different from living in Raqqa?
Oh, and one more thing – the next time these Jihadis even try any terror operation against the US – regardless of whether it succeeds or not, regardless of whether it’s an actual act of violence or a money transfer to Hamas/____ (fill in your favorite Jihad group) – use it as a pretext to declare war on Jihadi Arabia, and level their oilfields. Once they can’t sell oil, their money will dry up overnight: it’s not like they can sell anything else. Once that happens, and they’re not allowed to move out of their country, they can become another Syria, and stop funding Jihad worldwide.
We just need to disabuse ourselves of the notion that they have to be allowed to come here.
