Obama State Dept Punishes Israeli NBA Player, Delays Visa, Nixing NBA Job; No Such Probs w Muslim Players

By Debbie Schlussel

More anti-Israel baloney typical of the Obama State Department. The Obamaniks delayed the visa renewal of Israeli NBA player Gal Mekel. Then, they refused to speed it up, causing him to lose the NBA job. They didn’t do this with any of the Muslim foreign nationals who play in the NBA. It’s disgusting, but oh so predictable and unsurprising.

obamasmiling.jpggalmekel

First there was the delay:

Gal Mekel, waived by the Mavericks, planned to sign with the Pacers in order to fill Indiana’s massive void at point guard. George Hill, C.J. Watson and Rodney Stuckey are all injured. Donald Sloan played 43 minutes last night. Yeah, it’s desperate. But there’s a hitch with Mekel.

Marc Stein of ESPN:

Because of a procedural delay in securing new visa for a foreign player, Pacers’ plan to sign PG Gal Mekel has been thrown into jeopardy. Pacers flew Mekel to Boston yesterday in anticipation of signing him today because Indy’s waiver from NBA to sign 16th player expires today. But procedural issues could prevent Mekel from securing new P1 Visa until Friday, potentially forcing Indy to sign a different player today. Must say: How a visa issue like this could scuttle a signing, in a league with a hundred foreign-born players, is rather hard to comprehend

And then there was the absolute refusal of a visa for Mekel:

Sources told ESPN.com that the Pacers, after flying Mekel to Boston on Wednesday so he could meet the team there Thursday, pulled out of a deal to sign the Israeli point guard upon learning that his visa that allows him to play in the NBA likely would not be renewed until Friday in the wake of his recent release by the Dallas Mavericks.

With a hardship waiver from the league allowing the injury-hit Pacers to sign a 16th player reportedly expiring Thursday, sources say that Indiana decided it couldn’t wait any longer to see if Mekel’s new visa could be fast-tracked.

Yup, on a regular basis, we let Islamic extremists who support terrorism into the U.S. But an Israeli basketball player, nope.

By the way, there were 101 foreign nationals playing in the NBA when the season began at the end of October. Of those, there were seven Muslim foreign national NBA players, three from Bosnia and four from Turkey. Do you think the State Department gave them any problems with their visas? Think again.

I have a suggestion for Mekel: convert to Islam and praise ISIS or Hezbollah. Then, your visa will be sped up.

Well, I know that a handful on the political right-wing have in the past have dismissed Obama as a “Muslim”, “Arab”, etc., according to my epistemological knowledge, I have yet to find evidence to match this. However though, there’s been evidence that Obama’s administration has been influenced by Arab and Islamic interest, where Obama’s placated to the Arabs (Bush’s administration did the precise samething as well, hell, Bush said that: “Islam is the religion of peace”), so I’m not too stunned with this story of not letting this Israeli-national basketball player into not only in the NBA, but in the country by recognizing US immigration laws.

God, I am so sick and tired of hearing this “Welllllll, Bush did it toooooo!” excuse from people. Ya know freekin’ what??? If Bush did it too, then Bush WAS JUST AS WRONG! Anyone with a brain knows that Bush and his cronies are only slightly less socialist and elitist and freedom hating than the MU-SLIME dictator in the White House. Bush, karl rove, john boehner, mitch mcconnel, chris christie, ET AL, are almost as evil as Odirtbag and his minion. Burn every one of them.

“I have a suggestion for Mekel: convert to Islam and praise ISIS or Hezbollah. Then, your visa will be sped up.”

Sad, but true.

DS_ROCKS on November 12, 2014 at 4:13 pm

Actually, this Israeli player just had the bad luck of being the first among many foreign nationals who will not get visas, thereby preventing them from playing in the NBA. Under a new Obama executive order, issued to address the black unemployment problem, he has decreed that the league be expanded to 25,000 teams. Teams may no longer sign foreign nationals. Under affirmative action teams may no longer sign white or Asian Americans.

CornCoLeo on November 12, 2014 at 4:41 pm

Fine with me. No one with a brain watches or cares about the NBA anyway. Besides, the NBA already has an affirmative action program. It’s called the WNBA.

Trigeek on November 13, 2014 at 10:17 am

“Actually, this Israeli player just had the bad luck of being the first among many foreign nationals who will not get visas”

    Really?

A little bit too much coincidence for me!

Herman on November 13, 2014 at 1:13 pm

Maybe they are telling Netanyahu that this is the kind of thing that will happen if he dares to express any differences with Obama or Kerry, or express disagreements with U.S. policy.

Little Al on November 12, 2014 at 4:53 pm

CornCoLeo is an un-funny.

Let me ask a question that my co-worker asked me

Gas is at its lowest level in 4 years.
Unemployment is at its lowest level in 6 yrs
Bin Laden Dead
Khadaffi Dead

Health Care takeover- verdict is still out, but its not the debacle everyone believed it was going to be, in fact I’ve asked a couple of my super conservative woman friends with children and they luv it. ( this is my own input, as I asked some friends not too long ago, what they thought of it)

The president it getting a bad rap again why?

I told him I don’t care for how he governs, but when he laid out the facts, I was at a loss for words, so please someone give me a cogent answer, because it is hard to argue against the current numbers.

MrBigBrain on November 12, 2014 at 5:09 pm

Who cares as this is an illegal act by an illegal President. We have no President just a clown acting like one. We don’t have to obey anything this jerk does. All of his documentation is a FRAUD.

Fred on November 13, 2014 at 7:57 am

Gas – Still much higher than when Bush left office. And, besides, isn’t it the libscum who NOW tell us that the president “can’t” influence gas prices? Yes, yes I believe it is.

Unemployment – Still much higher than when Bush left office. And, how many of the “newly employed” are employed only as a result of new government programs?? And how many have been relegated to jobs offering no more than 30 hours/week? Look around, ding dongs. Just ask people if they think the employment situation in this country is better than it was when Bush was in office. Anyone that believes anything put out by this regime, is brain damamged.

Bin Laden dead – Who gives a F? Odirtbag had NOTHING to do with this. And, remind this co-worker that four died in Benghazi, as a direct result of Odirtbag’s in action……….or disregard.

Khadafi dead???? That question, alone, should have told you that your co-worker is brain damaged. Ask your co-worker, exactly, “What beef did we have with Khadafi??”. Ask them how it was a benefit and in AmeriKKa’s best interest to assassinate (And, yes, that’s exactly what our administration did!) Khadafi. Go ahead, ask them……….then watch for the deer-in-headlights stare back at you.

Gas was $1.78 (BUSH) a gallon when Obola took over! over 1K American children have died of D68, TB and Leprosy and Polio is on the rise! Which was gone before he took over. Now he BRINGS EBOLA to our shores. Meat, Milk and groceries have doubled, racism is at its worse and Christians are attacked everyday for believing in GOD. Either we go against our beliefs (or we’re attacked) Military brass is receiving PINK slips while in the field and he is destroying our defense systems–now this freak is trying to take over the FREE internet! Don’t believe me? Go to your nearest ER and PRAY you dont get SepSIS. This administration has been a nightmare ruled by a bisexual muslim racist and is a traitor and should be put in prison for not defending Americans first.

vomit on November 15, 2014 at 3:40 pm

Gas price decline due to fracking and not Government intervention.

Unemployment statistics doctored up; many unemployed are now on Social Security disability, and those er uh, not looking for jobs, and therefore, not counted in the stats, are on the rise.

Bin Laden’s death mainly symbolic; the Middle East and Muslim territories are in chaos, and barbarism in those areas drastically increasing.

Do we have a model Government in Libya?

Little Al on November 12, 2014 at 5:27 pm

Lord have mercy! The stench of malicious intent concerning anything and everything Israel could make barnacles drop off a battleship. If Obama and the State Department were just indifferent to Jews and Israel, that would be a gift.

lee of the lower case "l" on November 12, 2014 at 6:41 pm

To be expected from State, which is full of traitors, vermin, and scum.

Occam's Tool on November 12, 2014 at 9:09 pm

Let me get back to the topic. What is the reason his Visa was not approved? Did they have reason?

MrBigBrain on November 12, 2014 at 10:08 pm

Couple of points: The State Department and Obama are Jew haters, like most on the left, including many JINO’s.

The NBA itself is a disgrace. Not a peep about Mekel. The NBA was, at the beginning, a “Jewish” league (since Jews were discouraged from playing baseball professionally), and remains so today, at least in terms of ownership and management. That’s why I stopped watching basketball long ago.

adam on November 13, 2014 at 10:59 am

Clarification: I stopped watching not because of Jewish participation, since I’m Jewish, but because of the cowardly PC nonsense.

adam on November 13, 2014 at 11:01 am

So basically the PC crowd destroyed basketball for you?
      I’m sure they’re not bothered.

Obama doesn’t mind Jews as long as they only self identify as Jews for long enough to further his agenda.
Obviously his agenda is incompatible with the long term survival of Israel as a Jewish state but that doesn’t matter if you get ephemeral enough about what it means to be Jewish.
      And so it goes on.

japple on November 13, 2014 at 4:43 pm

Is the NBA fighting to get Mekel his visa? Doesn’t appear so. Seems to me that NBA owners and management should oppose Jew hatred when it appears in their little corner of the world, which it clearly has.

adam on November 14, 2014 at 11:04 am

Anyone notice that after all the talk of “more diverse ownership in the NBA during the Donald Sterling extortion plot (ie black ownership – Oprah and Magic) – that the Clippers replaced Jewish owner Sterling with Jewish owner Ballmer and replaced Jewish team President Roeser with new Jewish female Team President Zucker? How did that work out for you guys Jessie, Al, Magic, Lebron – you are still the slaves. Million dollar slaves but …

Randal P on November 13, 2014 at 3:05 pm

@ Trigeek, Lil Al- I don’t know the benefit of Khadafi being dead, I think Dictator tyrants are perfect for that side of the world, keeps the nutjobs in check.

@ RandalP, well first it wasn’t a conspiracy to get Donald Sterling out, the guy was a dirtball,However,Al did involve himself and whine about Black ownership in the NBA, then he did the same thing with , Atlanta Hawks, literally trying to make the NBA have a Black Owner for the Hawks, instead of who has the money can buy it. Al is an extortionist and bully and involves himself in things he shouldn’t

MrBigBrain on November 13, 2014 at 3:30 pm

Obama is a chickenshit marxist. Marxists hate all religions and don’t have one of their own, which is why he feels perfectly justified in calling himself a christian one day and a muslim the next. Right now he’s courting the muslims because he needs them to persecute the jews and the christians. He’s a liar, a racist, a traitor, and a bisexual cokehead. None of this is slander because it’s all true. He’s a peewee compared to Netanyahu. He’s all ass and no class. To really understand his demonic globalist agenda, WATCH this 19 second video, in his own words: http://stg.do/mfuh To read how he has already ceded American sovereigny to the UN, READ: Alex Newman’s article of 9/30/14 “With Obama’s Support, Interpol to Lead ‘Terror War’ Scheme” at http://www.thenewamerican.com READ it. Trust me, you’ll be shocked.

marlene on November 14, 2014 at 4:38 am

Sorry. Mikel’s visa went to a Guatemalan border crosser waved in by Obama over the summer. MacDonald’s can’t afford to lose this valuable worker and is awaiting his siblings and parents to come on board. Let Netanyahu put that in his pipe and smoke it.

bill jackman on November 14, 2014 at 11:02 am

MrBigBrian – I am not making up opinions – a criminal case is open against V Stiviano for extortion related to the release of the audio tapes used against Sterling. That is an extortion case. And most importantly Jessie Jackson involves himself in ANYTHING that can make him money so the NBA and Sterling or the Hawks is something he should ABSOLUTELY involve himself in. Use your imagination and guess what the NBA gave to Jessie Jackson – to be quiet – because that is what he is now – you think he just found something better to extort money about and just went away?

Randal P on November 14, 2014 at 12:43 pm

This post is disrespectful to Gal Mekel. You think he’s the only Israeli in the NBA?

The Pro Sports world is filled with competition. He just was not good enough in the eyes of the Pacers. And guess what, he’s currently auditioning a role with the Lakers.

This post lacks information.
