Whether or not today’s shootings in Canada’s capital of Ottawa are Islamic terrorism, there’s already been an ISIS Muslim terrorist attack in the country, killing one soldier. On Monday, manboob-endowed Islamic terrorist Martin Couture-Rouleau a/k/a Ahmad Rouleau ran over two Canadian soldiers, murdering one of them. Although Facebook took down his page (why?), he frequently attacked Christians and Jews on the page. Why wasn’t that attack on front pages all over the U.S.? Because our media doesn’t want us to think this can happen South of the Canadian border (even though it already has–remember Fort Hood?). BTW, it’s worth noting that before he converted to the religion of death, he was into hip-hop, the gateway drug to Islam.

SAINT-JEAN-SUR-RICHELIEU, Quebec—The Canadian man who ran over two soldiers, killing one of them, had previously been detained and released as part of a probe into his alleged links to a group affiliated with Islamic State militants, a person familiar with the matter said Tuesday. Canadian authorities had been investigating 25-year-old Martin Rouleau ’s links to the group when he was detained at an airport preparing to board a plane to Turkey sometime between June and this month, the person said. The hit-and-run incident on Monday involving Mr. Rouleau, who was shot and killed after a police chase, came as Canadian security officials have warned of increased threats since Ottawa said this month it would contribute six Canadian warplanes to join the U.S.-led fight against Islamic State.

Mr. Rouleau plowed his car into the two soldiers near their military base in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, on Monday, and one of the soldiers, Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, 53 years old, died in a hospital later that day, Quebec police confirmed Tuesday. The other soldier remains in the hospital in stable condition, a spokeswoman said. Police had met with Mr. Rouleau several times, including as recently as Oct. 9, after being alerted to his growing radicalization by his parents in June, said Supt. Martine Fontaine of Canada’s national police service, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Mr. Rouleau was arrested at an airport as he prepared to board a plane for Turkey, but was released after prosecutors concluded police didn’t have enough evidence to charge him. Turkey is a route foreign fighters often use to reach Syria.

“We cannot arrest him for having radical thoughts, it’s not a crime in Canada,” Ms. Fontaine said.

Hmmm . . . that’s interesting, since Canada has removed conservative radio shows from the air and treated conservative thought as criminal activity. It’s only if your thoughts are truly radical–and ISLAMIC–that stops ’em from arresting you, apparently.

Louis-Philippe Langlais, who described himself as an old friend of Mr. Rouleau, said the man had converted to Islam two years ago. After becoming angry at the treatment of Muslims in Quebec and the governments’ military involvement in Iraq, Mr. Rouleau told friends that he wanted to go to Afghanistan to see “the reality” of what was happening there, Mr. Langlais said.Mr. Langlais identified a Facebook account under the name Ahmad Rouleau as one Mr. Rouleau used. In March, the account posted a symbol used by Islamic State with the quote “better to live one day as a lion than a hundred years as a sheep.” Ms. Fontaine said that postings on the Facebook account were among the evidence that pointed to Mr. Rouleau’s radicalization and desire to fight abroad.

A spokeswoman for Canadian Security Intelligence Service, the country’s main intelligence agency, said in an email that there was reason to believe that the hit-and-run attack was the “violent expression of an extremist ideology promoted by terrorist groups with global followings.” She declined to specify which groups.

This month, the head of the CSIS said the terrorist threat against Canada had increased because Ottawa dispatched Canadian warplanes to the U.S.-led campaign against Islamic State militants. . . . Mr. Rouleau was stopped from traveling abroad and his passport seized, police said. “He was part of our investigative efforts to try to identify those people who might commit the criminal act of traveling abroad for terrorist purposes.” Bob Paulson, head of the RCMP, told reporters.

Police said it didn’t appear the suspect acted with others in the attack. The suspect was shot dead after a police chase in which his car crashed and he emerged from the wreck brandishing a knife. Television pictures showed an overturned car in a ditch with a knife sticking out of the ground nearby. The suspect had been waiting in his car for more than two hours before the victims, one in uniform, were hit at around 11.30, a police spokesman said. “What took place yesterday is clearly linked to terrorist ideology,” Steven Blaney, Canada’s minister of public safety and emergency preparedness, said at a news conference.

Earlier this month, Mr. Paulson said there are roughly 63 national-security investigations under way, focusing on 90 individuals suspected of possible terrorist activity. The threat against Canada has been increasing for more than a decade, security analysts say, after Canada sent the military into Afghanistan and amid Mr. Harper’s robust support for Israel and strong criticism of Iran. “We have been in the top five of al Qaeda targets now for over a decade,” said Ray Boisvert, a former senior official with CSIS. The government has said it will introduce legislation to give law-enforcement officials new powers to monitor people police suspect could become terrorists.

Um, that’s a lot of people to monitor, as the pool includes ALL Muslims. Not extremists, not terrorists, just Muslims, who are by definition extreme and almost all of ’em supporters of Islamic terrorism, whether or not they are actually involved in pulling the trigger or pulling the bomb vest cord.

Mr. Rouleau ran a small business cleaning homes with pressure-washing equipment in Sait-Jean-sur-Richelieu, a town of just over 90,000 residents about 25 miles southeast of Montreal, the police investigator said. According to an online directory of Quebec businesses, Mr. Rouleau was the president of J.M.T.R Lavage, based in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Mr. Langlais said that his friend became disillusioned and increasingly withdrawn after a theft from that business and what he saw as police inaction.

Ah, see, they are already setitng the table for an excuse other than Islam. You see, he was disillusioned and it’s all the police’s fault. Got that?

Mr. Rouleau converted to Islam around two years ago, according to Mr. Langlais. He said his friend also became angry the previous Quebec government’s plans, since abandoned, to ban public employees from wearing religious symbols and clothing. Those plans were widely denounced by Canadian Muslims and by other religious minorities.

This is nothing new, just as ISIS is nothing new. ISIS was previously Al-Qaeda in Iraq. And acts of Islamic terrorism on Western soil committed by “Western” Muslims have taken place repeatedly, whether it is 9/11 or Fort Hood or the London Tube, and so on.

And while these things are nothing new, we’re also doing nothing new to stop it. We continue the same old political correctness in bending over for Islam. The same lack of action in stopping illegal immigration and Muslim immigration. And now it is too late.

Whether through converts or Muslims by birth, the cancer is here. It long ago metastasized. And yet we’ve never done a single bit of chemo.

Ahmad Rouleau’s attack isn’t the first. And definitely not the last. Don’t be surprised if those voices you heard on the tape of today’s shooting at the Parliament in Ottawa were shouting, “allahu [FUBAR].”
