EXCLUSIVE E-Mails Show GOP Governor In Love With HAMAS Terrorism Fundraiser; Won’t Condemn HAMAS, Hezbollah

By Debbie Schlussel

Today, Michigan Republican Governor Rick Snyder will speak to the convention of ISNA–the Islamic Society of North America, which the Bush AND Obama Administration Justice Departments designated as an unindicted co-conspirator in HAMAS terrorism. A federal judge said the evidence is sufficient to show ISNA is affiliated with HAMAS. And, yet, exclusive e-mail conversations between myself and the Governor’s Press Secretary show that Governor Snyder is soft on Islamic terrorism and refuses to face facts about ISNA. Not that this should be a surprise, given Snyder’s recent statements and behavior in support of similar jihadists. Also no surprise is that Snyder refuses to specifically condemn HAMAS or Hezbollah outright. It should be an outrage, but sadly nobody seems to care much.

ricksnyderisna

I sent e-mailed questions to Snyder’s Deputy Press Secretary Dave Murray on Tuesday. I only received my response–after several phone calls and e-mails–late last night, well after I told them I needed the answers. And Sara Wurfel, Snyder’s Press Secretary, doesn’t answer my specific questions. Instead, she sends me a rote gobbledygook double-speak and doesn’t refute the facts: that this group to whom Snyder is speaking openly supports HAMAS AND Hezbollah (which murdered over 300 Americans) and refuses to specifically condemn those groups. Wurfel tells me that it’s okay for the Guv to speak to this group because it’s a convention and many of these people are visiting Detroit and Michigan for the first time. Wow, I’ll be sure to let David Duke know he should hold the Klan convention here next year and invite Gov. Rick (who may lose to Democrat Mark Schauer, with whom he is now neck and neck in polls).

You’ll note also that Wurfel ends her e-mail by telling me all these things that she claims Gov. Snyder has done for the Jewish Community and Israel, as if the Jews or Israel has anything to do with any of the questions I sent. It’s more of the usual moral equivalency BS that spineless terrorist-pandering politicians engage in all the time. It’s also insulting and notes an attitude that HAMAS/Hezbollah–which MURDERED 300 Americans and blew up the American Embassy and Marine Barracks in Beirut–is only a Jewish and Israeli problem, not an American one.

Here’s our e-mail exchange (they didn’t respond in time for me to get something in the Post, by design I’m sure–they claim they responded Tuesday, but I never received anything from them until late last night):

Subject: Press Inquiry regarding Gov. Snyder’s Speech to ISNA . . .
To: murrayd1@michigan.gov

Dave:
Per our conversation, I am a freelance journalist, and this will either be for something in the New York Post or DebbieSchlussel.com (one of the most popular conservative blogs) or both. I have a few questions regarding Gov. Snyder’s speech to ISNA on Friday.

1) ISNA openly supports HAMAS and Hezbollah, which murdered over 300 U.S. Marines and Embassy officials. Both HAMAS and Hezbollah are on the State Department terrorist list. ISNA refuses to condemn either group and refuses to condemn Hezbollah’s 1983 attacks on the U.S. Marine barracks and the U.S. Embassy in Beirut.

Why is the Governor speaking to a group that openly supports these terrorist groups that murder innocent civilians, including hundreds of innocent Americans?

2) ISNA was named by the U.S. Dept. of Justice as an unindicted co-conspirator in HAMAS terrorism and HAMAS terrorism financing in the Holy Land Foundation trial, and Federal Judge Jorge Solis, in a written 2009 order in the case, noted that “”the government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA, NAIT, with the Islamic Association for Palestine, and with Hamas.” See the full text of the order here:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/43380629/2009-order-on-Holy-Land-Foundation-unindicted-coconspirator-list

Why is Governor Snyder speaking at the convention of an organization that the U.S. Justice Dept. and a federal judge say is associated with HAMAS and helped in HAMAS terrorism financing?

3) Does the Governor recognize HAMAS and Hezbollah as terrorist groups?

4) Does Governor Snyder condemn HAMAS and Hezbollah?

I look forward to your prompt response as I am on deadline.

Thank you,
Debbie Schlussel

Greetings, Debbie –

Understand you had some Qs on this event.

The Governor was invited to help provide the welcome and address this annual convention and will do so, welcoming thousands (many of whom have never been to the city or state) to Detroit, Michigan and highlighting the city’s resurgence and state’s comeback, and recognizing their contributions to the city, state and country and the opportunities that exist for everyone to work together to achieve prosperity and understanding.

As you probably know, Michigan is home to one of the largest Arab American and Muslim American populations in our country.

ISNA has been consistent in rejecting all acts of terrorism and violence, and Congressional investigations and inquiries have resulted in unfounded claims and no ties to terrorism, and the organization has as its mission “to foster the development of the Muslim community, interfaith relations, civic engagement, and better understanding of Islam.”

ISNA has advocated for a “just and fair settlement of disputes between Israel, the Palestinians, and their neighbors through diplomacy and other peaceful means.”

On that front, the Governor is proud to recognize the strong contributions of the Jewish community and heritage not only in the metro Detroit area but across Michigan. The governor has traveled to Israel as recently as last year (http://www.michigan.gov/snyder/0,4668,7-277-57577-305896–,00.html) and has signed memorandums of understanding with Israel, including one just this summer on industrial R&D projects (http://www.michigan.gov/snyder/0,4668,7-277-57577-330907–,00.html).

Thanks and regards,
SW

Debbie wants to know why the governor is speaking at the Islamic Conference on Friday.

Number: 248-xxx-xxxx or writedebbie@gmail.com
Deadline ASAP

This is bullcrap. In fact, ISNA has NOT “been consistent in rejecting all acts of terrorism and violence.” It’s been consistent in embracing HAMAS, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and sundry other Islamic terrorist groups and all of their acts, none of which it will ever specifically condemn. In fact, ISNA has steadfastly refused to specifically condemn HAMAS and Hezbollah when asked and when it issues a general “condemnation” of “terrorism,” ISNA doesn’t consider HAMAS and Hezbollah to fall into the category of terrorism. It was RAISING MONEY for HAMAS. Hellooooo . . . . ? And, no, Congressional investigations and inquiries did NOT “result[ed] in unfounded claims and no ties to terrorism.” In fact, again, BOTH the Bush and Obama Justice Departments AND a Federal Judge said ISNA IS a HAMAS co-conspirator.

Sara:
You did NOT answer my questions. My questions are as follows–Please answer them specifically, and NO, ISNA refuses and has always refused to specifically condeman Hezbollah and HAMAS:

Why is Governor Snyder speaking at the convention of an organization that the U.S. Justice Dept. and a federal judge say is associated with HAMAS and helped in HAMAS terrorism financing?

3) Does the Governor recognize HAMAS and Hezbollah as terrorist groups?

4) Does Governor Snyder condemn HAMAS and Hezbollah?

Please answer these questions I sent to Dave Murray on Tuesday morning by noon today. I am not interested in any other information but the SPECIFIC answers to these SPECIFIC questions.

Thank you,
Debbie Schlussel

Debbie –

The Governor condemns all terrorist activity, including any that stem from Hamas or Hezbollah. Period.

You’ve gotten our answers.

Thanks,
SW

In other words, “screw you, we’re gonna speak to and gush over terrorism supporters and fundraisers if we want to.” Oh, and note that he would not just simply flat-out condemn HAMAS or Hezbollah, just some possible “terrorist activity that stem from” those groups, which sounds exactly like the slimy parsing and conditional wording used by Muslims to avoid condemning those groups and acknowledging that they are terrorist groups. Snyder did NOT, in fact, specifically condemn HAMAS or Hezbollah.

ricksnydermuslims

Shukran [Thanks], Jihad Rick for Welcoming Us to Michigan!

Where are all the partisan Republicans and “conservatives” who constantly whine when Democrats do this (like Jimmy Carter, who is also scheduled to speak to the group)?

Crickets chirping.

After this plus Snyder’s statement to extremist, Hezbollah/HAMAS-supporting Muslims in Dearbornistan that they are a “model community” for Michigan and the United States, and his statement that he wants to bring more Muslim refugee aliens to Michigan (he’s spent tax money to open an office to do this), I will NOT vote for this schmuck. In fact, I will probably have to cast a protest vote for his far-left opponent Schauer.

We cannot continue to allow Republicans to serve up candidates and officeholders like this. The more we do, the more they will continue to engage in this behavior. If you don’t hold the Republicans’ feet to the fire, they will NEVER act like Republicans.

Right now, it is Rick Snyder–the sitting Republican Governor of Michigan–NOT his liberal Democrat challenger, who is sucking up to open supporters of and fundraisers for HAMAS.

And I won’t vote for a party that supports that.

By the way, Michigan GOP Chairman Bobby Schostak (a Nancy Pelosi and Al Gore donor) and Michigan GOP Communications Director Darren Littell refused to answer my questions on Snyder’s speech to HAMAS ISNA.

Who needs Democrats, when we have Republicans who pander to HAMAS?

Thanks, Jihad Rick.

The guy who calls himself, “One Tough Nerd,” is really a squishy, spineless panderer to supporters and financiers of mass-murder.

Not surprising that Snyder would do something like this. Prior to his election he said nary a word about eliminating the property tax credit for most seniors or of his plans to tax their pensions. Once he was elected and with the help of his acolytes in the Michigan Legislature, he did just that. The man is a closet liberal who ran as a “conservative.” He is what he is. After what he and his cohorts did to us after his election I vowed to never, ever vote for another Republican again. It seems better to support the snake you know(a Democrat)than one pretending to be your friend.

Excellent work, Debbie, just excellent. I’m calling the governor’s office next, to register my disgust with his decision to support ISNA’s convention. I do not understand how he gets away with this. In fact, I find it to be more than a little bit creepy.

“The Governor condemns all terrorist activity, including any that stem from Hamas or Hezbollah. Period.”

Yeah, Period but not exactly the end of the story.
Hypothetically if Hamas had some terrorist activity Governor Slyster would condemn it but actually he hasn’t even acknowledged that’s ever happened.

Hypothetically if the U.S. Government was responsible for terrorist activity he’d condemn them too.
Good to know but then we’d expect that wouldn’t we? It’s just that he won’t quite point the finger at Hamas when he knows perfectly that’s their reason for existing.

Very few public figures, urnalists or professors now consider HAMAS or Hezbollah to be terrorist. Snyder certainly knows this, even apart from the influence the University of Meshugana or the UAW exert on him.

Maybe before we impose democracy on other countries we should examine how it is working here.

Good work DS, notice that in your exchange with that individual from Governor Snyder’s cabinet (he’s your governor in Michigan Debbie, you know more about him than I do, because I live outside of Michigan) that you didn’t make wild accusations by saying this: “Governor Snyder is a Muslim or an Arab, because he supports Islamic terrorist groups,” or “we have a Muslim as the Governor of Michigan”, the reason why I say that it’s because MANY on the right have made conspiracy-theorizing claims that Obama is a Muslim right now (he was when a child, but since, he’s an apostate and culturally a Christian who’s non-practicing and humanistic). And don’t get me wrong, you folks know that I’m NO fan or supporter of Obama, but I think many on the conservative and Republican end need to know about one of their owns who’s been pandering to the Islamic and Arab end continuously!

DS_ROCKS! on August 29, 2014 at 5:46 pm

I can’t agree with Debbie on casting a vote for Shauer but I’m just as turned off by the governor’s amoral political posturing concerning this terror supporting group. Snyder’s bend over ass-backwards pragmatism in a bid for Muslim votes makes it likely at the voting station that my hand will repel from his name on the ballot as the same poles of magnets react to one another.

I couldn’t possibly vote for the Democrat and won’t allow myself to contribute to the delinquency of a Republican. I feel dirty just thinking about either proposition.

And this from the post:

Yeah, justsayin, I hear you, the unlucky 13th anniversary, too. Unfortunately, it appears as though I’ll still be Stuck In Secaucus, and most likely in or near NYC that day. Oh, joy!!!

Debbie always comes up with some VERY interesting photos. The photo of The Golfer-In-Chief with his head tilted back, and the extremely broad grin comes to mind. Debbie repeats that one quite a bit. It’s one of the most sickening and enraging photos of him.

The one attached to this article of Jimmy Carter speaks volumes, and it’s not a good series of books.

As for this Governor Snyder character, I DO mean character. He looks like the gnome-like actor that played a role on Will and Grace, always as a foil to Megan Mulally’s character, Karen Walker. Governor Snyder also looks mentally ill. He gives credence to the belief that the entire government is composed of whack jobs who drink too much, and pop pills on a regular basis.

Well, if a picture says a thousand words, Debbie finds the best photos to illustrate the pickle this country is in. You can see the dysfunction in the faces of these creeps.

Alfredo from Puerto Rico on August 29, 2014 at 10:48 pm

Not that I am in support of Snyder, but do you think Schauer would respond any differently? I don’t. Its an election year and with the huge muslim population, they both will be after the muslim vote. Ask Schauer the same questions and let us know what he has to say.

G: Huh? You completely miss the point here. What is “Republican” or “conservative” about Snyder that makes him any better or different than Schauer. With attitudes like yours, the GOP will continue to give us liberals like Snyder b/c they know they can always rely on sheep like you to give this kind of response and keep voting for these crappy GOP candidates. If you don’t demand better from the GOP, you will NEVER get it. I expect Snyder to act like a liberal Democrat. But I’d rather have an honest liberal than a dishonest one who pretends to be a Republican as Governor. You are telling me liberals are unacceptable, but then you accept a “Republican” liberal and judge him by liberal standards. Given that, why not just vote for the admitted liberal instead of the closet one? You don’t demand any difference, and so you will never get it. If the GOP knows we won’t vote for them when they do these things, they will have no choice but to change. You give them no reason to. DS

The portrayal of a Radical Muslim as one who “highjacked” a religion to engage in a holy war against the infidel is a creation of western politicians ( Governor Snyder) and media pundits (including “conservative talk radio, Sean Hannity et al,”). This portrayal allows politicians and the media to engage in political correctness (intellectual tyranny) and avoid the challenge of understanding the 1300 years of Islamic supremacism. This insulates the speaker from his own ignorance of what Islamic supremacism is, and minimizes criticism from the Islamic apologists and Islamic controlled front groups such as the Council on American and Islamic Relations (CAIR).
Until we “identify, isolate and eliminate the enemy” (The Art of War, Sun Tzu), the centuries old existential threat of Islamic supremacism will continue. The enemies of the United States and other western style democracies are not solely the terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah, Hizb Ut-Tahrir, Tablighi Jamaat, Jamaat Ul-Fuqra, Gama’a al-Islamiyya or their leaders (Osama bin Laden, Ayman al- Zawahiri, Omar Abdel-Rahman {the Blind Sheik} or Yousef al-Qaradawi). These groups are merely the soldiers, mujahidins and enforcers of the global Islamic supremacist sociopolitical ideology.
The term Radical Muslim is a redundancy. The term Moderate Muslim is oxymoronic. Those who work to advance the hegemony of Islam do so in innumerable ways. There is more to the global jihad than carrying AK 47s, soliciting suicide bombers, planting IED’s and other acts of terrorism.

Jim Fuscaldo on August 30, 2014 at 5:23 pm

Absolutely. Well said. I couldn’t agree more. The enemy is ISLAM itself. Those, like Hannity, who speak of “radical Muslims” and “moderate Muslims” are enabling the Islamic D-Day deception that diverts all attention to the radicals while the moderates slip in unopposed, even welcomed, to carry out the destruction of the West that has been the objective of Islam for the last fourteen hundred years.

Snyder raised taxes, wants to raise more, and hasn’t been conservative on a single thing. DS

Ima Fundie on August 31, 2014 at 11:23 am

Another reason to stay out of Michigan.

To change subjects, Minnesota’s current governor tends to stay out of international issues, and is actually talking about lowering taxes. He also seems, although a Liberal, to actually care about his State. In short, he hasn’t been the disaster I thought he would be. He also has raised my income 9% over 4 years, from $98.64/hr to $106.7/hr. That is likely to continue if he stays in office, resulting in an income of $119/hr by 2018. Any thoughts on his Islamic stuff, Debbie?

I prefer to go to Fargo if I want urban activities rather than the Twins, as Minneapolistan is becoming more prominent in that area, especially the Mall of America. But I love my job in Minnesota for the most part, as it is lucrative and generally not horrible. I also prefer to live in a rural area and have a VERY quiet life. As the Twins are 4 hours away, their idiocy doesn’t affect me much. I look to the West, and especially Grand Forks, ND, home of the TajMahockey. I may very well retire there.

G-d Bless and keep up the good work, Debbie.

    Occam's Tool on August 31, 2014 at 7:39 pm

It is insufficient–and, in fact, incorrect–to assert that ISNA openly supports HAMAS and Hezbollah. Rather, it would be much more accurate to characterize ISNA as a FRONT GROUP for Islamoterrorism. For example, in 2007, the Justice Department found that the ISNA provided more than $12 million to Hamas terrorists. In fact, it is abundantly clear that EVERY major Islamic group from CAIR on down are FRONT GROUPS FOR ISLAMOTERRORISM.

Now that I’ve made that fact clear, it is easy to see why Rocky J. Suhayda, Jimmy Carter, David Duke, Rick Snyder, and Paul Findley just LOVE the ISNA. They hate Jews, they hate Israel, they hate America, and they hate Democracy, and they hate Civilization–plain and simple. They favor autocratic rule under barbaric bloodthirsty tyrants, plain and simple.

If you want to defeat these enemies of Civilization, you must first KNOW who they are. Are we getting it yet?

Ralph Adamo on August 31, 2014 at 3:33 pm

@ Ralph Adamo: Thanks. Your post prompted me first to scratch my head in confusion but, then, come to understand (I think?) your point– A point well worth understanding.

Point well taken. What would seem a distinction without a difference, isn’t. The front group operating as a fifth column leaves no doubt their intention and threat in the extreme while “supporters” might just amount to useful idiots; both, of course, bad news in cases they side with Islam but “Front Groups” are, indeed, deserving of priority attention.

lee of the lower case "l" on August 31, 2014 at 4:28 pm

Here’s another piece of information. Many of us who knew about this that weekend and were at the Republican Convention on 9/23 started working the crowd on this subject. In fact, I and others personally talked to Snyder to no avail. He actually told one delegate that it was “politically impossible” for him to pull out.

Many of us who wrote the governor were responded to with the IDENTICAL response you received – that ISNA is not designated as an unindicted Co-conspirator, etc. etc.. We inundated Facebook and Twitter with posts. We got to many, many people over the week before he spoke but Snyder would not relent. We were able to get it on national networks, local networks, etc. Again – he would not relent.

Tried to get the Jewish community asses, I mean organizations involved. I recently was told that they gave Snyder cover. It would have caused more dissent they felt (dissent from who I wonder) for him to pull out, so the suggested language to use in his speech about supporting Israel’s right to exist – unfortunately he didn’t say as a Jewish state. So go screw yourselves JFMD and your related mouthpiece JCRC.

When the JFMD and it’s associates help a sitting governor with a speech to a HAMAS front group…you know we are screwed.

S: That’s funny, SueSue, b/c I know you and who you are and you’ve spent the last few years elevating and promoting an Islamopandering FBI Special Agent in Charge and elevating Islamopandering Rocky Raczkowski who took money from jihadists, pandered to Muslims in Dearbornistan, and congratulated and supported HAMAS CAIR anti-Semitic Michigan chief Dawud Walid on TV. You are a hypocrite and a fraud far worse than Snyder because you claim to know better but support these aholes anyway. So that makes you different than JFMD and Snyder how? It makes you worse and a hypocritical fraud. Incredible that you have the utter chutzpah to come on my site and pretend as if you are better when you know you’ve worked to promote for GOP and FBI Islamo-panderers for years. You are part of the problem, NOT the solution. DS
