By the way – to your knowledge: according to its own constitution the United States of America does not have an official language. It is not that doctor – whoever he is – who undermines this beautiful constitution. It is a corrupt from top to toe American government who routinely stomps it on the open. The demand to all immigrants to take the test of English – is just one more example of this arbitrary favor to this miserable language that I always feel shame to utter. But this is not about shame, and this is not about preferences. This is the Constitution of the USA that officially states that in the USA THERE IS NO AN OFFICIAL LANGUAGE. PERIOD.

You don’t like English, which is the historical, traditional language of the U.S.A., then leave my country. Nobody is forcing you to stay here. Why are you here if you don’t like the English language? I wouldn’t go live in Poland and expect them to do everything in English because I speak English. The English language is part of the American culture; we do not want or need to accomodate other languages. That goes for Spanish as well. It disgusts me to see signs in Spanish here in the U.S.

I once saw a sign at work on the janitor’s closet door that was written only in Spanish. You know what I did? I took a Sharpie, I crossed out the Spanish, and wrote in English, “THIS IS THE U.S.A WE SPEAK ENGLISH HERE. LEARN THE LANGUAGE.” By the end of the day the sign was no longer on the door, and no new signs appeared.

Jarhead, this country is not yours. And this country is not mine either. And this country is not a country of English language. When – and if! – the Constitution will change itself and will raise English to the status of the only state and official language – then I will gladly leave THIS country – which still will not be yours or mine. It is just a common land, whose only cement between all its co-existing and contradicting elements is The Constitution. As long as it is neutral, at least on paper – it is still livable here. But if it will change in a direction proposed by you – and will discriminate against other people on the open – then it would be a time for me and the likewise people to leave THIS country. As you see, I protest this establishment not because I am lacking any English. My English is much better than of the majority of commentators. But it is immaterial. America is, at least on paper, a country for everyone who is law abiding. To speak on any language other than English is not and cannot be considered as a rebellion against the law. Therefore, this country is for everyone who is law abiding no matter what language he or she speaks. Instead of slamming me, read more English, you English lovers. As to my grammar: I always struggled with the idea of articles (which will not be so would I be an Arab – since the Arabic – any dialect – has articles incorporated in its speech). But the land I came from does not have this commodity incorporated in its major linguistic group. Instead of criticizing me for my grammar – try to break my juridical point. I challenge you – try to disprove me. Try to prove that English IS the language of this country. Well said Drakken. This dirtbag knows nothing about the American culture. My forefathers came over here in the early 1800’s. They were Dutch Jews and German Christians. They learned English, just like all of the other people who immigrated to the U.S. and wanted to be part of the greatest country to grace this God’s green earth. I am an American mutt, and damn proud of it. When people come here and want to be citizens, they assimilate into the American culture, which means speaking ENGLISH.

This Ferris turd obviously knows NOTHING about our culture. When I grew up, there was a song we sang in Elementary school. That song was “This Land Is Your Land, This Land Is My Land”. Of course it is everybody’s land, but it is also mine. I paid my dues, I served this country, and everybody born here LEGALLY can say that this is their land. It belongs to all of us, and if this worthless piece of human flesh doesn’t like it, then FERRIS SHOULD LEAVE MY COUNTRY. We have no need for his kind.

When many years ago, in the second part of 1990-s, composed a letter to the president and congress on behalf of the elderly immigrants of my former country, which has been printed in many local and even non-local newspapers and which the elderly immigrants of my former country and the members of their families carried with them to Washington, it played its role – and the citizenship exams on English for everybody who is older than 65 and without firm knowledge of English were made on their native language – so that they will not lose their benefits. But it was done clandestinely, and only for the elderly of my former countries – so that many years after that nobody knows about this fact. Interestingly, in my letter I used the same old stupid Constitution on my side – and it worked, and it protected the most vulnerable members of the greater human society, and saved many thousands from hunger and unwarranted aggravation of their medical conditions. But it has been done only for our elderly – and not for the elderly from your former countries would they come here in emergency flight – as the elderly from my former country came here, without money, sometimes without proper winter clothes, and without English. The overall majority of them were of Jewish origins – it’s for you, Jewish supporters. The majority who benefited from my actions were the Jews, though, as I said, I am not. And I do not regret about my actions – on a contrary, I am proud of it. But if “your” elderly will come here as “my” elderly came – they will not get any help from your side – and will fall into the trash can – just because their former compatriots are not going to defend them. To defend them through their mighty Constitution. God job!

But, overall, since the battlefiled is mine, I feel great. Except that I am contemplating over – shall I accommodate to my new Arabic identity that Debbie so generously assigned to me by a flip of her finger, or not. Poverina probably forgot about the element of the Periodical Table that on Latin is called Ferrum and in Italian Ferro. Probably, considering that she is a product of local schools she even didn’t know about that. Schuster also means on my language something very different that German pseudo last name, so that my first and last pseudo names mean rather Agile Iron i.e. the “iron” (blade) that can strike suddenly and unpredictably.
