Casey Kasem Hosted Anti-Semitic Palestinian Event Featuring Jew-Hater, Holocaust Denier

By Debbie Schlussel

Yesterday, FOX News idiot Adam Housley gushed all over anti-Israel, pro-HAMAS Casey Kasem in a “report” (more accurately described as a multi-orgasm) on the so-called “Fair and Balanced” network. Like most other stuff on FOX News, it was the same mainstream media crap that you’d see on ABCNNBCBS. And, yet, there is even more disturbing stuff I’ve found on Kasem and his friends. Kasem hosted an anti-Semitic Palestinian fundraising event, featuring noted anti-Semite and Holocaust-denier Alfred Lilienthal a/k/a “Al Farid” (a Jew In Name Only who used his accident of Jewish birth to make a career in Jew-hatred and speaking engagements in front of Muslim and Palestinian groups).

Israel-Hater Casey Kasem Hosted Anti-Semitic Holocaust Denier

Politically conscious Arab Americans revere Dr. Alfred M. Lilienthal as a pioneering Jewish American who revealed in his four books and many articles the true dimensions of Zionist persecution of the Palestinian people. And so when the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Arab Americans learned he was in California as a visiting scholar at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, it decided to honor him with a lifetime achievement award. Broadcaster Casey Kasem was master of ceremonies and read many congratulatory telegrams from such distinguished Arab Americans as Rep. Mary Rose Oakar (DOH) [DS: the lesbian (allegedly) Lebansese was caught in the house check-writing scandal and narrowly escaped being a convicted felon], Rep. Nick Rahall (D-WV) [lebanese, notoriously anti-Israel, and, yes, related to the racing family], NAAA Executive Director Khalil Jahshan and Mayor James Maloof of Peoria, Illinois.

Speaking on “What Price Middle East Peace?” a reminder of the title of his first book, What Price Israel? Dr. Lilienthal said Americans must understand that criticism of the state of Israel is not anti-Semitism. “Zionism isn’t Judaism. Judaism isn’t Zionism. . . . In fact, for the Zionists, Judaism is a myth.”

Asserting that the U.S. media will stoop to anything to revive memories of Jewish persecution, the author of The Zionist Connection said journalists rarely discuss Mideast events without bringing up the Holocaust, although it occurred in Europe. “There is no reason why we must constantly look over our shoulders at that tragedy of a half century ago,” he said. . . . “The bones of [Nazi] Mengele are exhumed to inject Holocaustomania so that no one makes a logical decision about establishing peace in the Middle East.” Warning that the Holocaust saga should not become the third Holy Book, Dr. Lilienthal . . . said the new religion of many American Jews has become centered on the Holocaust and worship of the state of Israel.

Since most polls show that most American Jews don’t care about Israel, that’s a laughable claim, as were all of his other specious assertions.

An anti-Semite now is anyone Jews don’t like, he said, citing the case of Cincinnati Reds baseball team owner Marge Shott, whose remarks have engendered a storm of media criticism.

Um, she collected Nazi memorabilia and made openly anti-Semitic statements.

There was scarcely a dry eye among the more than 200 NAAA members in the audience when singer Nick Maloof sang happy birthday to “Al Farid” (the Unique), a name Palestinian admirers conferred on Dr. Lilienthal many decades ago.

Keep in mind these things about Casey Kasem’s friend Lilienthal, and you will see that actually he’s not “the Unique” at all–just another Jew-hater who also happens to be a Jew In Name Only (JINO):

* He repeatedly questioned the loyalty of American Jews; he proclaimed that Jews are not really genetically Jewish and fake, a frequent charge of Neo-Nazis and anti-Semites to date;

* He joined Noam Chomsky in signing a petition in support of the “academic teachings” of Holocaust-denier Robert Faurisson;

* He claimed that the search for Nazi doctor Josef Mengele was conducted to create “Holocaustmania” to exaggerate the extent of the Holocaust and justify the existence of Israel, another frequent utterance of Neo-Nazis and Jew-haters, and claimed the persecution of Jews was exaggerated;

* He was an official of the anti-Semitic, anti-Israel American Council for Judaism, an organization of far-left Jewish self-hating radicals and bra-burners who would have loved to start the ovens at Auschwitz;

* He was the first Jew allowed to travel to Saudi Arabia, invited by King Ibn Saud, who was believed to be funding much of Lilienthal’s anti-Semitic, anti-Israel rantings;

* He founded and headed the American Arab Association for Commerce and Industry;

* He proudly wrote for the openly anti-Semitic Washington Report on Middle East Affairs;

* He attacked U.S. aid to Israel and claimed that aid to Arab and Muslim countries would make them thriving American-style democracies. Today, the bulk of American foreign aid goes to Muslim countries, including HAMASastan in Gaza and the Palestinian Authority (and a lot of it went to Syria and Hezbollah-controlled South Lebanon). Are they American-style democracies? By the way, unlike US Aid to Muslim countries, 85% of US aid to Israel is required to be spent in America by law (most of it goes to US defense contractors, creating jobs and commerce).

Finally, it should be noted that Lilienthal’s anti-Semitic book, “What Price Israel?” was published by the Henry Regnery Company, which is now Regnery Publishing, the conservative publishing house that published all of Michelle Fraudkin’s books and those of other conservatives. But that was back in the days when the conservative movement was dominated by “paleo-conservative” anti-Semites like Pat Buchanan, while it is now dominated by pro-Israel Evangelical Christians (with some notable exceptions). Regnery has since published a number of pro-Israel books and did not publish the 50th anniversary edition of the Lilienthal book (another publishing house did). Hoover Institution is also now split from Stanford and associates mostly with pro-Israel academics and “scholars” (who aren’t really scholarly, then or now).

Lilienthal died in 2008 at age 92 (yet more confirmation that only the good die young). Same goes for his buddy Casey Kasem, dead at 82, and now rotting in hell.

You will also note that it did take the Chinese years to go to trial with this issue. Short and sweet. Not bad.

He was always just a disembodied voice to me. Now I know why I got sick of Scooby-doo-doo after about 2 episodes.

Casey Kasem, the American-Arabian legend, has just passed away.

We enjoyed both life and music with his presence, as he always left us up spiritually with his distinguished voice and phrase, “Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars.”

May Allah bless his soul. Rest in peace Casey Kasem.

    Almost as good as a Coca-cola sugar rush huh Abdul?

    Frankz on June 16, 2014 at 8:30 pm

    Notice that despite Abdulrahman (etc)’s traditional garb, he doesn’t seem to recognize that the music Kasem pushed all those years was haram. Lol!

    Well you see, Kasem helped kill Jews and subjugate the infidel, so we have to put music in perspective.

    It is rather hard to bless someone without a soul. Casey Kasem was nothing more than an anti-Semitic D.J. This dude dumped his first wife for some blonde bimbo. Of course, Allah is into trophy wives. Muhammad himself had no problem coming up with those convenient revelations that allowed him to have more than four wives. Let’s hear it for the Islamic stud line.

    Unfortunately, he is in Heaven with a 72 year old Virgin. Ignorant mass murdering child molesting thieves do not tend to be the best translators of the word of G-d.

    If you wanna know what is going to happen to you guys, Abbie Normal, pick up Tom Kratman’s Caliphate.

    He’s rotting. Yes, he was an antisemitic, terrorist loving scumbag, but even worse he voiced Shaggy.

Casey Kasem was a typical Muslim scumbag. I say good riddance to another anti-American, Jew-hating Muslim rat.

I remember Alfred Lillienthal from the early 1970’s. He was an ugly man with a prominent bald head and a voice and personality that was torturous to listen to. He was the type of “Jew” (like the Haaretz scum such as Amira Hass and Gideon Levy) that deserved to get beaten up or worse by the likes of Hamas and the German Brown Shirts.

In my home we refer to the “Fair and balanced” Fox News Network as the “Fake News Network. I expect to see Chelsea Clinton to soon take the place of that squeaky voiced numbskull, Hasselbeck on the comfy couch on the morning moron show.

Victoryman on June 17, 2014 at 8:52 am

    Then how do you refer to CNN and MSNBC?

    Dee Kim on June 17, 2014 at 11:10 am

I remember seeing Alfred Lilienthal on TV back during my grad school days more than 30 years ago, doing what did best, slamming Israel. He lived, as he died — as a scumbag. Like the still-alive Sen. James Abourezk, D-S.D. (a Lebanese-Christian), another leader in anti-Israel aggression of that time, the passing of Lilienthal caused me no grief.

Hi again! I remember reading Debbie’s article back in October 2013, and I just wanted to re-post a comment about the late Kasem (concerning both his voice acting talents and his racial hypocrisy)…
~
Ah yes, Casey Kasem… his “Top 40? thing every weekend. He also did a lot of voice acting back in the day. He did a couple of voices for the original “Transformers” cartoon back in the 1980s (Cliffjumper and one or two of the other Autobots; you know, the good guys). HOWEVER… and this is where it gets really hypocritical… he apparently left the series in protest after they showed some negative Arab or Middle Eastern stereotype. Granted, that was bad in its own way, but in light of this information which Debbie had provided us with about the man, that just makes the hypocrisy even worse.
~

So yeah, he leaves a popular animated series because of a negative depiction of Arab and Middle Eastern people, but then joins the loony anti-Semitic and Holocaust-denying bandwagon. Just how hypocritical can you get???

Speaking of the passing of Casey Kasem, Mrs. Schlussel you should have seen the furor your commenst about his passing caused on Facebook. I am assuming a fan of yours posted your piece that you wrote about his passing and how you are not sad about him dying and explain how he was involved in all kinds anti-Israel propaganda. Well this radio host in the local area, San Francisco Bay Area, went all bat shit because not only did this person post what you wrote about Casey Kasem to his Facebook page but also your piece about Maya Angelou. This host’s name is Spencer Hughes, radio station KSFO 560AM, who wrote a diatribe about you, on his FaceBook page, for not respecting the dead and not and how dare you to say burn in hell! Though his first complaints sounded more like he was angry at you for bursting his bubble on Casey Kasem and Maya Angelou. Most people were supportive of him since the page is called Friends of Spencer Hughes and were attacking you but there were some like me, defending you saying if what you brought up is true, then sorry but some people do have skeletons in their closets. Mr. Hughes even went so far to accuse you being a liberal in conservative clothing, as a way to paint conservatives in a bad light. However due to a complacent media, many of the facts you brought about have been cleverly hidden and we are just given the public face of Maya and Casey. Anyways I do like listening to Spencer Hughes but I do disagree with him on some issues, for example he is a big supporter of gay marriage. Anyway thank you for being there to show people that many icons that we are told to revere at the point of being called a racist or hater, are not who they claim to be.

To be honest,I’m sad about Casey Kasem’s passing. Like Dick Clark,he was a part of a lot of people’s childhoods. He did a lot of voice-over work on cartoons,the most well-known was Shaggy on the “Scooby-Doo” series. I also remember on long trips hearing him on “America’s Top 40.” It saddens me to see you,Ms. Schlussel and many other commenters on this site rip him to pieces just after he died.
I admit he may have exhibited an immense moral blindness in a lot of areas,but to attack the man just after he DIED,just seems unseemly to me. Can you imagine how his family must feel now? Someone they cared about just passed away and someone on a website savaged him like this. I have many conservative leanings but this…this is just awful. The Casey Kasem I choose to remember is the same a lot of people will remember him for,the guy who entertained us for years on radio,tv,and movies. Unfortunately,you helped to validate what the other side says about us. They’ll use this to attack conservatives as being hard-hearted. And many of you,including you,Ms. Schlussel,just gave them an example to use in their attacks.

Ghostwriter on June 18, 2014 at 2:46 am

    “I admit he may have exhibited an immense moral blindness in a lot of areas….”

    He MAY … MORAL BLINDNESS …? The guy was at war with America and with Jews. The former makes him a traitor; the latter makes him Amalek. You want Debbie to go soft on him based on some people’s nostalgia?

I always thought Kasem had one of the most annoying voices in broadcasting. Especially when he did NBC promos in the late ’70s-early ’80s, particularly those in which he seemed to raise his voice. If I wanted to hear Casey yell I’d hear the famous outtake [from American Top 40] in which he complained about playing a fast tune before doing a dead dog dedication.

Kurt Toy on June 18, 2014 at 10:23 am

I have to mention something that is very apropos to the subject. Alfred Lillenthal appeared on an old talkshow hosted by one David Gold. I called up and took issue with his criticisms of Israel, but my older brother also called up and asked Mr. Lillenthal if he received lots and lots of money from the Arabs. Alfred Lillenthal said (perhaps jokingly) that he received hundreds of thousands of dollars from them. My older brother then responded with the comment that at least Alfred Lillenthal admitted it. Mr. Lillenthal then screamed at my brother and said he was going to sue my older brother for something that the self hater himself said. It was funny as hell and my brother was the hero of the day for getting lillenthal to admit it.
