. . . a screening of this, “Inglourious Basterds,” and I’m dying–dying!–to post a review or even a couple of words about it. But alas, I’m not allowed to until Friday. Stay tuned for my review, to be posted just after Midnight, early Friday Morning. The Quentin Tarantino movie was just over 2.5 hours and stars Brad Pitt.

It’s a way to differentiate this movie with the original movie. The original was sort of a remake of the dirty dozen and sort of a blaxploitation movie, there’s actually 2 versions, the other was cut up to feature Fred Williamson and called GI Bro . It was pretty entertaining, but I think the only thing that the new one resembles is that the time period is WWII.

I know you would’nt post this if you didn’t like it a lot. Looks a little on the violent side–I have to remember who the violence is directed toward, if I am going to watch it.
The movies about the Nazis continue to proliferate at acclerated rates. I went to see Defiance, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and Valkyrie–all were worthy watches.
It is one of those things we never seem to tire of–contemplating the reality of the horrors of what happened in the Third Reich–and now seeing fancyings of the Nazi bastards (terds) getting their just desserts.

A pity though that this is a film based on WWII, which was caused by American strongarm tactics. And the stuff about Pearl Harbor…just shows what happens when you have a bunch of foreign offshore bankers and oligarchs running things and not relying on the gold standard and heavy reliance on the illegal federal reserve…

As I said before about this movie, I think it’s pathetic how Hollywood is brave enough to fight a war that has been over for more than 50 years. but hey can’t muster the nerve to fight the war we are fighting right now!
The Muslim terrorists are just as bad as the Nazis. They are just as hatful, they are just as bloody. why doesn’t Hollywood hate them too?
Why can’t they make a movie set in current times with the “bastards” killing Muslim terrorists?
I would love to see Brad Pitt saying ” I want 100 turbaned scalps”.
I would go see that movie.

It is always the same with these Hollyweird creeps. They get a guy like Pitt who is a pacifist and portray him as a guy who is a bad ass. Jolie’s bitch…err Pitt, was on Bill Maher’s show denouncing religion (Christians), supporting HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE and everything against this country. But Hollyweird can denounce one sort of fascism but continue their own fascism. One reason I don’t watch Hollyweird and its fairy tales that put on the big screen. A real good movie would have been to cast a true American soldier back from Iraq and Afghanistan to portray a soldier. What a concept, get the true bravery and fierceness from someone who actually has put his life on the line for his country. That might be believable. Putting any empty vessel like Pitt to portray a soldier is unbelievable and not worth my time, ever.
Pitt’s love in with Maher. ManLove, they should get a room.

Considering how many Jews died needlessly in WW2 because so many had the hear-no-evil, see-no-evil mentality, I watched this preview intently.
I can HARDLY wait to see it.
Normally, I’m mixed on Quentin Tarantino–BRILLIANT filmmaker and story teller who puts in lots of blood and violence, but in the context of war, this looks good.

M: That’s a great question, and one I ask the studio reps all of the time. I really think these embargoes are unrealistic, anachronistic, and absurd in the internet age, not to mention unfair, but those are the rules, and if I don’t keep ’em, I don’t get to go to screenings ahead of time. DS

I’m lost. How is Quentin Tarantino brilliant again? Maybe two “good” movies with nothing but endless pointless dialogue and nothing but “homages” to older movies he likes? Sadly, I’m in the minority to think such things.

When will that be aired on television, or the Internet?
I did see “DEFIANCE” while I was visiting friends in Utah.
It was a good show, but probably unnecessarily lengthy, or maybe I was just too tired from all that driving.
Still, it was a little known story that needed to be told.
