Morons of the Week: They Did WHAT?! A Preview of America’s Future (& View of Its Present)
America’s minds of mush a/k/a college students waited in line all night for get tickets to hear the worst President in recent American history (who speaks at the University of Michigan today). Yup, just like a rock star, the rock star he thinks he is. And those in line began lining up and camping out on Friday to get a ticket yesterday (Tuesday). Just as stupid as they were stinky. Nearly a thousand spoiled brats with crappy priorities at my alma mater showed us a glimpse of America’s future–no, actually, this is, sadly, already America’s present. But, then, you knew that.
900 University of Michigan Students Wait Through Night for Tickets to See President Obama in Ann Arbor
By 7 a.m. Tuesday, two hours before the University of Michigan began distributing a limited and undisclosed number of tickets, around 900 students had lined up for a chance to hear President Obama speak. The students in line at the Michigan Union are attempting to get tickets for Obama’s Wednesday, April 2, speech on raising the national minimum wage. . . . Obama’s visit to Ann Arbor was unveiled on Friday and the location and ticket information was announced Monday. That evening hundreds of students began lining up outside the Michigan Union, where U-M is distributing tickets at 9 a.m. . . .
Students in line had camp chairs, tents, sleeping bags, blankets and coffee. Lots of coffee. “It’s cold and rainy, but pretty fun,” said sophomore pre-med and international studies major Rachel Zuellig, who started camping out at the union around 11 p.m. and thinks she’s roughly the 490th student in line.
Yeah, that’s my idea of fun, camping out in Michigan cold and rain on the concrete of Moscow on the Huron (my late dad’s name for Ann Arbor, with apologies to Moscow) and not taking a shower for two days. Note to self: never use my Obamacare get-out-of-healthcare-jail-free-after-$6,000-deductible card for healthcare with Dr. Rachel Zuellig, should that moronette actually get admitted into and graduate from med school.
The line began with a student who got to the Union at 4:30 p.m. Monday, and the end of the line was continuing to grow as students arrived early in the morning. “People were sleeping in their tents, in their hammocks, in their futons,” said Susan Pile, director of the Michigan Union. “Students were very creative in their excitement to be here.”
Hey, just like Occupy!
The scheduled visit is expected to rally support for Obama’s call to raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. Michigan’s current minimum wage is $7.40, while the federal minimum wage is $7.25.
May all of these University of Michigan dumbasses graduate to minimum wage jobs. There wouldn’t be such a battle cry over the minimum wage, by the way, if it wasn’t so hard to get and move to higher paying jobs in the Obamaconomy. He just got companies to eliminate full-time jobs and cut hours of employees thanks to ObamaCare.
Instead of demanding a higher minimum wage, they should demand an Obama early retirement.
And I thought Michigan State University was bad!
