Saamer Akhshabi EXCLUSIVE: Iranian Muslim Student Alien Caught w Explosives LUVS OBAMACARE!

By Debbie Schlussel

Saamer Akhshabi is yet another one of those fabulous foreign alien Muslim student visa holders. The Shi’ite Muslim (that’s Hezbollah!) Iran native and Georgia Tech student was caught with explosive devices and gasoline after he accidentally blew up the stuff and suffered burns over 90 percent of his body. It sure looks like he was building bombs. And–lookee here!–he’s a big supporter of ObamaCare, which dominates his Twitter feed (follow me on Twitter). And he follows extremist Iranian Prez Hassan Rouhani and former Prez Mohammad Khatami (who was supposed to be a “moderate” but was just another Khomeini-ite Hezbollah supporter and extremist). Yup, we need more foreign students here like this guy–you know, for “understanding.” The ghost of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini is laughing at us.

Spread the Word: ObamaCare is Available After I Blow You Up! . . .

A suspected Molotov cocktail and several plastic bottles filled with gasoline and kerosene were found in the Midtown apartment of a Georgia Tech graduate student severely burned, police said Wednesday. Saamer Akhshabi remains in Grady Memorial Hospital with third-degree burns over 90 percent of his body from the fire started in his apartment Tuesday afternoon in the 200 block of 10th Street, police said. Late Tuesday night, it wasn’t known what caused the fire. But an FBI spokesman said the man’s burns were possibly from an incendiary device. . . .

In addition to what police described as a Molotov cocktail — a container filled with flammable material, and often topped with a make-shift fuse — police said several gasoline- or kerosene-filled bottles were found in the apartment. Police reported the incident to U.S. Homeland Security, and a police SWAT team, and agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the FBI were called in.

Akhshabi is studying in the College of Computing at Tech, where he has attended since 2009, according to his web page. He was scheduled to graduate in May. . . . Prior to moving to Atlanta, Akhshabi completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Tehran in Iran.

Religion of Peace, Baby!

Thanks, America! We Love Your Student Visa Program! . . .

We don’t check visas and we have no way to know if Muslim students here are actually studying! Like we should be welcoming them here in the first place.

Akhshabi is getting free infidel health care – now there’s irony in a guy who undoubtedly planned to blow Americans up getting the very finest treatment in an American hospital!

I suspect he is one of those privileged aliens, who if he lives, like Justin Bieber, doesn’t face deportation because… he’s Muslim! He was up to no good and we’re stuck with paying the tab for him – and with hosting plenty of others like him out there in the Great American Beyond.

With the lack of attention we pay to our national security, we are fortunate this Islamic terrorist wanna-be bungled the job. This time. But there is always a next time when our fellow Americans won’t be so lucky!

NormanF on February 6, 2014 at 5:11 pm

Birth control!?! I thought Islam was the religion of morality, and that our depraved culture could benefit from their constructive morals.

And, as discussed, I can see why he is in favor of Obamacare. It will cover work accidents such as the one described here.

Little Al on February 6, 2014 at 5:32 pm

Hey, he’s in favor of birth control for us infidels! I bet my last dollar he’s also for abortion and gay marriage, too. Liberal views for which he would be executed back in Iran.

But just cuz he’s liberal… doesn’t mean he gave up jihad! I wrote on the last thread I said he “probably” built bombs cuz that’s what these guys do. Now its confirmed he did. People keep being surprised they’re extreme – they’re confusing taqiyya with their desire to kill us.

It will be forgotten – until the next incident.

NormanF on February 6, 2014 at 5:42 pm

Obamacare is just another kind of bomb.
You don’t have to be an evil genius to understand that.

Frankz on February 6, 2014 at 5:47 pm

Islam and Obamacare want to bring down this country! Its not so strange if you think about it

I would have been shocked if this schmuck had NOT endorsed Obamacare!

NormanF on February 6, 2014 at 5:51 pm

Think “Saamer Akhshabi” really cares about ideas like “liberal” or people with pre-existing condtions?
Dance monkeys.

Frankz on February 6, 2014 at 5:56 pm

Never judge a Twitter content by its face value.

A lesson we should learn is Iran’s so-called “moderate” leadership is the same old-same old.

The guy Rouhani with whom we are ostensibly pursuing detente.

NormanF on February 6, 2014 at 6:02 pm

That he’s a terrorist, expected as much…That he has burns over 90 percent of his body,,.HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!,

Interesting. I just did a Google search, and the big news outlets haven’t managed to cover even the story about his Molotovs in two pages of results. None will ever cover that bit about his love for BarkyCare(tm).

Debbie. What you did is just a perfect example of what journalism is not. If you hate Obama obamacare, and liberals it is absolutely fine. but it is disgusting to To accuse a talented scholar on no basis. You cruely destroy the reputation of this guy, just to show your hatered to Obama. every single person who knows this poor guy has so far confirmed the incident is far from terrorism. I really doubt he is even muslim. i do not know where fo you get your fact. I hope this message finds a way into your bubble of hatered toward people you do not know.

I nominate both of you for sainthood.

    You freaking muzzie!

Darrell L. Hicks on February 6, 2014 at 8:17 pm

Rad, that was a perfect Muslim response to a piece of serious journalism–meaning, it is a concatenation of impossible lies offered with great moral urgency.

For example, “I really doubt he is even muslim. i do not know where fo you get your fact.” Let’s see. He’s Iranian. He “follows” two Iranian presidents who were or are mouthpieces for the Supreme Guide. Yah think he’s Amish?

But this is the sort of lie that Muslims tell all the time. I think there would be a much greater chance of finding a decent German in Nazi Germany than finding a decent Muslim anywhere. And “believe me” (Muslims like to use this), I think there were very, very few decent Germans in Nazi Germany.

In fairness to you, though, at least you don’t use profanity, which is almost guaranteed from Muslim writers. However, you do implicitly attempt to deceive us about your “religion.”

skzion on February 6, 2014 at 9:40 pm

I am Iranian, but not Muslim. And FYI, there are millions in Iran who may consider themselves as Muslim but do not practice Islam at all. And among who they do, you would see a wide range of beliefs, from moderate to fundamentalists. I am not a Muslim, but voted for Muslim President in hope of at least a minimal change. That he supported a cleric in presidential election, doesn’t make him Muslim, or Fundamentalist. In the US there are 12% atheists, a large portion of whom vote in elections to people who are theist. That is interesting many people easily realize in their but voted for a Muslim person to be president — in hope of some change. Looking at Sameer’s tweet, I really do not think he was really Muslim, or practicing. Yes, there are hardliner in Iran ( Just an update to this news. According to his roommate (who is neither Muslim nor Iranian), the incident was apparently a suicide attempt.

Sorry I submit the comment by mistake when I was still typing.
*That is interesting many here easily realize Sameer’s tweets doesn’t fit with a jihadist Muslim, but still insist he is Muslim.

An just an update to this news, apparently according to his roommate (who is neither Muslim nor Iranian, and so you may trust!) the incident was a suicide attempt — he basically put himself.

My point is not here to defend Muslims, Iranians, Middle Easterns ( here, and I do not really care whether you hate us or not. I am just saying this post a pot Sameer as an individual is not based on evidence. If you want to hate, at least hate him as liberal/Pro gun control/pro same-sex marriage/pro health care affordable act.

I wish people in your country could appreciate more the freedom they have, and do not contaminated that with hatred.

Rad on February 7, 2014 at 12:37 pm

OK, so you’re not a Muslim. However, you sound just like one, coming here and lecturing us on what we should think and feel. Are all of you ME’s a bunch of supremacist twits? And, why do you always twist the facts? Why did he need so many bottles of gasoline, inside an apartment, nonetheless, to kill himself? Nobody keeps gasoline in an apartment unless they are idiots or have something nefarious in mind. Have you been America long enough to be familiar with the term b*llsh*t?

Rad, that’s an interesting one. As in radical? Like 60’s radical, or Muslim radical?

OH, WAIT, I FORGOT, “radical Christianity is as bad as radical Islam.” It MUST be true, because Rosie Odumbo said so.

Well, you see, Radhim, or Radish, or whatever it is. Check this out, and please read carefully.

In the Philippines, there are a little known people, a family actually, a big family, currently about 460 members, which help raise coconuts for the world market. They are an ancient people, much like you guys, but unlike your ilk, they have more sense, not like that phony “prophet” Moooooohamid. Sorry, the farm next door has cows, and they even moo at night, perhaps they’re phuking, who knows?

But anyway, there is a saying that has been passed down through this family. It is “maluku fallahudo weplakmi ehklometi hummuna hummuna hummuna, Etnohrtun wallaboomah meelokti.

It means simply, “you must teach the children while they are young, which coconuts to bring down from the tree, and which to leave.”

But today it means, “Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are such idiotic egomaniacs, they deserve each other.”

So you see? It is simple. I know you understand these things. Please pick up a copy of Debbie’s bio on your way off the web site, and don’t forget to also take a coupon for the special CVS is having on Snickers bars, 2 for 1 while they last. It’s time to say no more immigrants from Islamic countries for ANY reason. It is too damned dangerous to let these people inside our borders! We already have millions of potential ticking time-bombs who could become “devout” at any time. Major Hasan comes to mind as well as the Boston Marathon killers.

Zero needs to put away the “outreach” BS and start showing some concern for American lives. I am so sick of this crap! And lesbionic, big sis, Janet Napolitano, is worried about American soldiers and legal gun owners becoming radicalized with nary a breath about these stealth jihadists? WTH is that about?

Time to slam the door shut on Islamic immigration lest we follow Europe’s sorry state of affairs.

get real on February 6, 2014 at 8:41 pm

After the Taheriezar episode some years ago, they should have busted the mime about the Iranian people wanting to break free of Islam. But nothing of that sort ever happened

Infidel on February 7, 2014 at 12:35 am

Get real, I see your point, and raise you one other. I have been all for a decade long moratorium on ALL immigration, and I have said that on other web sites going way back in time, as in April I will observe 14 years posting on chat forums. It is well past the time to become isolationist, but of course we won’t, because people who speak like that wear tin foil hats and worship at the altar of “conspiracy theories.”

We have enough energy in this country to last for hundreds of years. We can, if we wanted, grow enough of the right food to feed us all. We should have told the world a long, long time ago, we’ll trade with you, but we’re cutting off immigration, until we can get the fringes of our society under control. Phuk with us and we’ll nuke you without a moment’s hesitation, if necessary. At the very least, you can expect a carrier fleet off your shores in a few hours.

Khatami doesn’t run Iran! And is called a reformist, not extremist!

tash on February 7, 2014 at 3:06 am

Debbie made it a mistake – an understandable one!

She got Mohammed Khatami, the Iranian President before Mahmoud Ahmedinejad confused with the Iranian Grand Poobah – oops – the Supreme Leader Ali Hossein Khamenei – who is the real boss of Iran.

Sameer Akshabi supports the Iranian Muslim reformist Presidents Khatami and Rouhani – the supposed “moderates” in the Iranian leadership. They’re as close to liberals as you can get in a Muslim country. But they don’t and never have had – any real power to change things over there.

Anyway, the point I want to get through is that even “ideal” Muslims are susceptible to the vice of jihad. People with leftist background in the West have been terrorists – the Japanese Red Army, the Italian Red Brigades, the Baader-Meinhof Gang and the US Weathermen.

Being a progressive person doesn’t necessarily make someone decent – or keep them that way. So Muslim reformers or those who back them don’t necessarily want to always be peaceful to make things better.

Almost every time a Muslim tries to pull some terrorist atrocity in this country, the first response of almost all law enforcement almost every time is to state that there’s no evidence of terrorism or terrorist intent. It’s meaningless. The real story typically comes out later or is covered up and whitewashed. Therefore, your post is irrelevant.

Hi Debbie:
This student lives 2 doors from Lori – Lori came home from work around 7 PM to find all the Police cars, Fire Unit, FBI agents surrounding his house. I am so thankful he was caught before some big act was committed, but am afraid that something else could be in the fire. This was too close to home. Lori also has had students renting her house and it is scary to think they could have been terrorists.

Can you guys stop this nonesense?

The guy was my friend when I was in GaTech. From what I hear he committed suicide. You don’t burn 90% of your body by accident. You have to douse yourself completely in gasoline to achieve that.

If it matters for you, he was not practicing muslim, far from it. He hated Iran leadership and did participate in initial 2009 green revolution protests. He could not go back to Iran because of his involvement with the green revolution so he was essentially cut of from his family back in Iran.

Vytautas Valancius on February 7, 2014 at 4:11 pm

OK, let’s pretend he was supposedly a wonderful guy and not a Muslim. Instead, let’s just say he was a malignantly narcissistic, sociopathic dumbass for putting so many peoples’ lives at risk by having so much flamable liquid (gasoline) in an apartment, where had it all gone off, he could have killed many, many people. In a short time, gasoline fumes could have turned that apartment into a huge bomb that could have taken out the neighborhood. But, hey, let’s ignore science and just say he was a nice guy, huh? Are college students really this stupid today?

Pray Hard on February 7, 2014 at 5:59 pm

I do not care what happens to Muslims at all. I know better than you guys about the threat of Muslim extremism. But all the false accusations and words of hatred on this page are persuadable by court and if you mind and put your names under your hateful comments that will make the case easier for lawyers. lol!
The main threat to this country comes from hateful ignorant racists who do not bother to check the facts before throwing out garbage from their mouth. Most of the Iranian community immigrated to the US are on exile and are fled from the theocratic regime. Their average of education is way way higher than you guys. And so is their contribution to the science and economy of this country.
I bet most of you giving precious comments about celebrating the death of this young kid don’t even know that he has been against the hardliners in Iran and pro reformist. And most of you still do not know the difference between Iran and Iraq, and Persian and Arab. You guys are more dangerous and an educated foreigner. Go read some, Bible and McDonald won’t help much.

Isn’t it cute how Tush and Rat claim not to be Muslims but exhibit behavior characteristic of Muslims? Hm. I say they’re lying.

Anyway, all the feel-good crap about “reformist” presidents couldn’t be more laughable. These so-called reformists are the tools of the Supreme Guide. It’s absurd to believe that an Iranian student who opposed the Powers That Be in Iran would “follow” such puppets. In fact, even if “reformist” presidents were real reformers, that would imply NOTHING about how infidels were to be treated.

I still don’t see you addressing the safety issue of this narcissistic fool making his apartment into a bomb that could have injured or killed hundreds. All I see is you lecturing us infidels with your supremacism, which is typical Muslim behavior. Personally, I hate to see any young person stupidly waste his or her life. DETECT on February 8, 2014 at 10:52 am

VERY good, DETECT, but an approach that I’ve seen a number of times in my nearly 14 years posting on internet chat forums. I like the fact you are articulate, witty, clever, don’t use deliberate misspelling, deliberately misplaced commas, or bad grammar, which can be deliberate, or not. And you don’t make threats or go off on hate-filled tangents to get your digs in. But you give me a good chance to answer you in detail, just to set the record straight.

And why would I wish to set the record straight? Well, first off, who are YOU? And for that matter, who am I? I’ll tell you who I am. Take a look at the bottom of your shoes. I am less than whatever is on them, and I mean that sincerely. I’ve said that here on occasion, and elsewhere, including in person to people. I am an insignificant piece of less than nothing in this universe.

I have nothing against any individual. EVERYONE and anyone could potentially be headed through the gates of The Kingdom on Judgment Day, including ANY Muslim, before me or to my complete exclusion. After all, as The Bible itself says, salvation is open to everyone, first for the Jew, and then the Gentile.

I have no hatred in me, but clever ploy, you are very good. Turn the poster’s language around on them, especially the posters use of capital letters, and make them appear as though they are engaging in “hate speech.” But when I picked up The Bible and accepted Christ at 3:04 a.m. on September 10, 1984, I knew that hatred could no longer be a part of my psyche. I also asked God to crush my ego, as ego has no place in a God centered life.

As for me being a bada**, I don’t know what a bada** is. And if someone hadn’t told me what xhamster is, I wouldn’t have known either, as I gave up my interest in porn over three decades ago. Likewise, I have no idea what brazzer is.

As for beer, I don’t like headache inducing corporate pisswater, so when I do drink beer, it’s English, Polish, Russian, Belgian imports, or American craft beers from microbreweries. Although such things do exist down here, they are difficult to find and I can’t afford them. Up in the states, where I head back a few times a year for work, I have a friend who works in the beer business, who will at times invite me to hoist a few. 99% of the time he’s buying, because the perks he gets from the pubs he supplies and maintains equipment for, afford him that luxury.

As for Islam, again, I have nothing against any individual, as Hitler himself might make it in to The Kingdom on Judgment Day while I get thrown in to The Lake Of Fire. I’ve said that here too, in case you’re new here. Not my place to say who gets citizenship for eternity. But as to Islam at large, the evidence has long since been compiled, by Islam’s actions itself. It is not a true religion. Even Christian minister Dr. A.R. Bernard has said so himself, “it’s a phony religion,” in reference to the Nation Of Islam’s failed attempts to recruit him many years ago. And you’d be hard pressed to find a nicer, less hate-filled guy than he.

So, if it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck, quacks like a duck, . . .

    that’s all I’m sayin’.

A majority of the people in middle east are muslims. Out of such a large population, there are extremists, maybe 1 out of 1000. Muslims over there are suffering from them like Americans are. Now concluding that anyone coming from that part of the world is a terrorist because of his religion and nationality is the most ridiculous judgment one can make.

If he was an American white guy, the term Molotov Cocktail would have probably been replaced by a container of gasoline or something. No matter what happened to this young man, I think we must not allow ourselves to make such an ill judgement. If in future it is proved that you were completely wrong, I doubt that you would be able to read your comments again and not be ashamed of what you wrote.

Here is a note published by his advisor at Georgia Tech about him. It may make you think for a second before making a judgement…

“You may have heard by now that my PhD student Saamer Akhshabi was seriously burned on Tuesday Feb 4, 2014, at his apartment. He is still fighting for his life at Grady and he is undergoing surgery as I write this note.
The local TV stations presented this story in a way that is very misleading and far from the truth. Their headlines included “Molotov coctails”, “terrorism” etc. I think that most people that saw those news, without knowing anything else, would easily reach the conclusion that Saamer is a future terrorist that was injured while building bombs..

The police investigation is still going on but I can assure you, based on everything I know so far, that the truth is very far from the previous story.

In my understanding, the real story is about a 26 year old young man that had not seen his family for 4.5 years (he, like most Iranian students, was given an one-entry F1 visa — he knew that if he would go back home he would probably get stuck there). I also think that the real story is about our failure (my failure mostly) to detect and properly react to the first signs of a likely mental condition that was hidden most of the time behind a brilliant young researcher’s mind.

So please, at least until this police investigation is completed, do not believe everything you hear about Saamer from the news.

The doctors told me that the last thing Saamer said before they sedate him was “I want to go home.” Please pray for Saamer to go home one day.

Constantine”

The funniest part of this website is “Support My Work”. Her work = Spreading Hatred. Any single article you see on this website is about hating somebody, either a politician, an athlete, or an innocent young man. Subject does not matter, what matters is to hate them.

I wonder how many people in the world would want to spend their $$ to promote the hatred.

For those of you who think he is a terrorist, I highly recommend to read this article written by the his supervisor http://www.cc.gatech.edu/~dovrolis/saamer.html. For sure he knows this student more than us. By the way, did police confirmed that he was a terrorist? because I don’t remember reading that on any website.

Birds of a feather flock together. It takes a special brand of idiot to read an article by a biased, hate filled and ridiculously thick journalist – and add fuel to the fire. Walk into Georgia Tech and talk to anyone who has said even 2 words to Saamer and you would realize he’s far from being a terrorist. Its extremely deplorable that this article attempts to defame an innocent person just to further propaganda.

Looks like the. Kid might have tried to commit suicide. I know many of these exchange students and they don’t want anything more than the opportunity for a good life and freedom. This isn’t brainwashes/ignorant Al queda types who are radicalized and who reject reason. Iran has a huge community in the US and they are extremely successful people, very well educated and not a strain to our society by any means. To those who paint all Muslims in the same light I will ask you a simple question….any of u watch the movie lone survivor? Marcus Luttrell owes his life to a man..a Muslim who risked his life to not allow the Taliban kill our navy seal soldier. These Muslims exist far more than we give them credit for. It’s a shame

Stupidity has no limits on March 7, 2014 at 3:07 am

So we are to believe that this scholar, getting a PhD in Computing, had multiple bomb making materials, fuses, gasoline or kerosene bottles, [er the police, for a ICS experiment, and instead he used them to attempt a suicide. Hmmmmmm.
At least, very shallow thinking on the scholar’s part, as he could have killed dozens of his fellow neighbors. Not PhD material… he could have seen his family in May.

I don’t think he was a Muslim! He was smart enough to believe in non-existence creature named as God.

He was much more smarter than all of you, specifically you, Debbie Schlussel!

Please do not judge the smart people when they are died and can not defend themselves! It seems that US needed his talents in computer science that he got US Visa and full financial aid form georgia tech to study PhD in computer science in US.

Do not think that you are the only people living on this planet. Please do not also think that he owes US for letting him studying in US. He could continue his studies in any other good universities worldwide.

I guess, you owe him an apology for judging him without defense!

Joe pecshi (God) bless you!

Abz on March 31, 2014 at 5:41 pm

He has highly cited paper in computer science that needs full time focus on research to publish it in field of computer science.

Please don’t judge super smart people, died, while you are living and breathing!

If you believe in God, I fuck God, Mohammad, Moses and Jesus that are not existent mother fucker, assholes!
