Hello to all on this blog…

Let me start out by saying that I do know Ihab as a former student while he attended Heilmann Middle School and then at Denby High School in Detroit, MI. I am curious to know where the Flint affiliation is coming from. I was completely floored but not surprised to see Ihab on the tv screen. Ihab has been in and out of foster care since I have known him. He was quite charming, but very troubled. He definitely had no respect for authority and was in and out of trouble all the time. Unfortunately, I knew Ihab could not and would not be saved. Being surrounded by predominantly African American students, Ihab was often teased and such, which probably created rage and built up anger on top of all the other issues he has had to deal with.

One of the bloggers asked, how do we know he is 5’1? I think the above profile was when he was younger. Ihab is much taller than that know, but I do not think he is over 6’0. Our foster care system has got to get better. I have learned so much about the system just by reading this blog. I feel sorry for Ihab, to feel so displaced, and I feel even more sorry for the family of Matt Landry…this one is hard to shake…innocent bystander caught in the wrath of a troubled soul.

just read your article, there is much to be said. ihab was abandon by his aunts and left with his sister. the muslim community tried to send him and his sister back home. the judge allowed ihab to make a choice. ihab,”i like america, i go on trips,and have ibox” the judge allowed him to stay. i was in the courtroom at the time. he was nine years old. his sister decided to return to lebanon. the muslim organizations purchased a ticket and left. they did not have family in michigan.

the court placed him with a great foster mother. she placed him in a private school. he was getting treatment. he was the problem. he mother pulled him out of school but in lebanon 2nd or 3rd grade because he was a problem.

the family lived in libya..not liberia. they were from northern lebanon. he only had one brother. masalmani is a common in south lebanon. therefore, the boys in the picture might not even be related.

again, the system was trying to return ihap to lebanon. the court system pulled him out of the foster center and placed him indepent living. please dont blame mr. ahmed..for the court system.

i am surprized ihap even spoke arabic.

Most don’t want to adopt the culture of the U.S., just like some other immigrant groups, legal or illegal. But how would we identify these people? Not that all Muslims are bad, but the Koran (compared to the New Testament) could be used to rationalize many crimes, inequality, sexism, etc, etc… Luckily, most Muslims don’t read the Koran.

I think this particular criminal could have been taught that crimes against “infidels” are okay. why didn’t he ever attack, rob, or kill Muslims, especially in such a Muslim area? He avoided them on his robbing sprees. coincidence?

Give me a break. The Spanish Inquisition was way back in 1478. It was over 500 years ago, and does not occur in the U.S. It’s like saying I need to pay reparations for slavery because my forefathers were in the U.S. when slavery took place. None of this stuff occurs in the U.S. today, and no Christian or Jew practices anything like the inquisition today.

However, these Islamo-fascists practice their ancient, backward, radical beliefs today. Actually, when I say “radical beliefs”, it is not that radical, it is mainstream to them. Many of these Muslims in the U.S. practice their religion according to the Koran. If they could institute Sharia Law, they would. And most of them still believe that anyone who is not Muslim is an Infidel. If they cannot conform to the culture of the U.S., they should be forcefully sent back to their country of origin. Let these Sunni and Shia and any other sect of Islam kill each other. Good riddance, we don’t need them in the U.S. Let them kill each other somewhere else where they won’t bother the rest of the civilized world.

How sad for you – discussion was about the here and now, and the ONLY example you can come up with is 500 years old and in a different country? If you don’t know the difference between Mexico and Spain, perhaps Bestmaker isn’t the only one needing a history lesson.

I won’t explain how the inquisition was a reaction to making sure islam did not return to Spain after the Spainish had spent hundreds of years ridding themselves of foreign masters who used islam as an excuse for their rule. Nor how less people died in the Spanish inquisition in 350 years, when compared to 9/11/2001.

Instead, let us say you are correct, then we have to admit that the Catholic Church certainly has changed and adopted to the times, yet islam cannot, and still calls for violence to any threat of any kind.

The whole argument has no meaning. The bottom line he is a Muslim, regardless if he was from South Or North Lebanon or North Korea. Debbie made it clear in her post about the family and gave facts if they were Sunnis or Shi’at.

If they are claiming that he is from North Lebanon and his father fled to Libya, means two things. May be they are Sunnis and worked with Abou Nidal, or any other Palestinian terrorist organization and this is very dangerous. Or could be Shi’at and had refuge in North Lebanon. Taking into consideration that Jubail area in North Lebanon is mostly Christian populated with Shi’at presence in the surrounding.

Both ways he is connected by gene to terrorism and the system through Ahmed and others protected and encouraged him.

I found myself grieving for the last two days for this young man’s life. Not just angry or upset, grieving, sobbing to the point of feeling weak and nauseous. My son occasionally hung out with Matt and spoke of what a great guy he was. This forum has the power to help bring healing to a family, a community. Instead I see salivating hatred. I feel as enraged as anyone about a beautiful life taken for senselessness. It stuns me. I admit, I found myself nodding my head in agreement with a lot of what people said about the perpetrator and his fate, I buy into the “get rid of Muslims” feeling right now. I do. Their ideaology if conducted according to the Koran, is at its core, “convert or die”. But as many have pointed out, thank God, most haven’t read the book. My husband’s family are non- practicing Shi’ites. They don’t claim they are Muslim at all because of all of the horrible things that are done in the name of that religion. I suppose they are much like I was once, a non-practicing Catholic. I was born into a family who identified themselves to anyone who asked as being Catholic, but to look at our family today, you couldn’t say any of us, with the exception of my devoted father, that we are. Are we a Christian nation? Our president says we are not. He says we are one of the largest Muslim nations in the world. Are we? I guess our future actions will say it all. If we act out in the same way as those we accuse, how can we say we are better? We need to act politically, not emotionally to these things. Those who use us, our money our resources and our laws to build themselves up while tearing us down do so because our laws and our weak resolve allow them to. Are you angry? Go out and vote our idiot politicians out of power the first chance you get.

Growing up with Ihab as a child, he was in foster care and lived around the corner from me in inkster, mi. He was from lebanon as he told us, his family mistreated him landing him in foster care. Everyone knew he was trouble, and at time and misbehaved. More only should he be held accountable for his actions so should foster care because if he was still in the system he wouldn’t of been out on the streets, murdering and robbing folks. Terrible story, I wish they would’ve got him help, he was highly intelligent.
