“Lone Survivor” Actor is HAMASnik, Vicious Jew-Hater, Anti-Israel, Supporter of Islamic Terrorism

By Debbie Schlussel

I gave a great review to the movie, “Lone Survivor,” and picked it as one of the top two movies of 2013. But, now, I think I may have made a mistake in doing so. That’s because the movie enhances the bully pulpit of an Islamic terrorism supporter and Jew-hater who is virulently anti-Israel (but has no prob living and Facebooking from inside the Jewish State). And I partially blame Marcus Luttrell, the former Navy SEAL who is the author of “Lone Survivor” and the main subject of the movie of the same name, for this.

Luttrell had a great deal of say over the production of the movie and is heavily promoting it, according to both his and director Peter Berg’s accounts. (He made a great deal of money from selling the rights to the movie, was also on the set, and even acted in the film.) Given that, you have to ask why he said and did nothing about the casting of Ali Suliman–a blatant supporter of Islamic terrorism and open Jew-hater–as the “peaceful Muslim” who saved his life in Afghanistan. It’s a blatant–blatantly disgusting–irony. If he doesn’t know about it, why not? Ignorance is a lame excuse. They didn’t think to ask themselves, who is this Muslim guy seeking to be in this film? All you have to do is look at his resume of pro-terrorism, anti-Israel movies. This is the only guy they could find to play an Afghan Muslim–a rabid Palestinian HAMASnik? Come on.

Suliman, a Muslim Arab born in Nazareth, Israel, claims he is a Palestinian and proudly starred as a HAMAS-style homicide bomber and Islamic terrorist in “Paradise Now.” In interviews, he made many anti-Israel comments and happily promoted Islamic mass murder of innocent Israeli civilians, which is the goal of his character in “Paradise Now.” Suliman is also a proud HAMAS supporter and, on his Facebook fanpage (with just 815 “Likes”), refers to Israel’s founding as the “Nakba” [Arabic for “catastrophe” or “disaster,” the common derogatory Muslim term for Israel’s founding]. Ali Suliman stands for everything Luttrell and other members of the U.S. Armed Forces fought against, and he stands for the forces that murdered Luttrell’s fellow Navy SEALS and injured Luttrell, himself. Now, with his role in Luttrell’s #1 movie, Suliman’s acting career, profile, and bank account are improved significantly.

On April 16, 2008, Suliman changed his Facebook profile page picture to a picture and website address for Palestinian terrorist murderers, advocating their release from prison. See the picture below. Sadly, he got his wish because Israel keeps releasing his Islamic terrorist murderer mancrushes. He calls these mass-murdering terrorists, “Freedom Fighters.” Yeah, sure they are. Freedom (From Jewish Existence) Fighters.

This Was “Lone Survivor” Actor Ali Suliman’s FB Profile Pic in 2008 . . .

alisulimanprofilepic

My favorite part of Ali Suliman’s shameless, public, terrorist-supporting persona is that on his Facebook profile page, he has “Boycott Israeli Goods” as one of his “Likes.” Since most of his crappy, anti-Israel movies (and they are all anti-Israel–I’ve reviewed several of them) are made in Israel and funded by the Israeli government–and since he holds Israeli citizenship and a passport–I wholeheartedly endorse boycotting the “Israeli” goods that consist of the piece of crap actor himself and his BS propaganda films. It’s an irony he clearly doesn’t get.

Lone Survivor Actor Ali Suliman Has This “Like” on his Facebook Profile Page . . .

boycottisraeligoods

And among the ironies that Marcus Luttrell either doesn’t get–or just doesn’t care about–is that the Palestinian Muslim actor who plays the real-life, rare peaceful Muslim (whom Marcus Luttrell is trying to bring to the United States permanently) is in total solidarity with the Islamic terrorism and violence that murdered Marcus Luttrell’s buddies and almost murdered him.

You should note that along with anti-Israel groups and causes, among the other “Likes” on Suliman’s Facebook profile page is Mark Wahlberg’s fan page. But guess whose page is not among Ali Suliman’s “Likes”? Marcus Luttrell.

Hey, Marcus, maybe you should wake up and smell the coffee. Even Navy Cross winners make mistakes. And Marcus Luttrell’s silence on the casting of Ali Suliman in his film is a doozy.

Ali Suliman will get his. He will not pass go, he will not collect the 72 virgins, and so on. But, here on earth, the only screen his face should see is the one on the window from the inside of a jail cell.

As for Marcus Luttrell, I still tremendously appreciate his service to the country and heroic attempts to try to save his fellow SEALs, but the presence of Ali Suliman in his movie is a glaring hypocrisy.

And I expect better from a Navy SEAL of his caliber.

Yup.

In real life, I don’t think Suliman would have been so charitable towards Luttrell the SEAL.

And the fact an anti-Semite and Israel hater is in this movie, ruined it for me.

I have no intention of ever fattening Ali Suliman’s bank account!

Debbie, thanks for the review! This is one movie I wanted to see but now its clear its entirely skip-worthy to the max.

Oh and Israel’s Stupid Jews have apparently never gotten around to deporting this Islamic piece of filth to Gaza.

But they gave him a Hollywood career! Only in Israel. Oy vey!

NormanF on January 15, 2014 at 3:22 pm

I hate it, Norm, but he was born in Nazareth so he was born a Citizen. He can call himself a Pal but he was not born with a Jordanian or Egyptian passport as a refugee. I don’t think we can deport a citizen.

“Lone Survivor” is a Peter Berg movie. So that should have been the tip-off. I thought we went through this kind of vetting before with your review of his movie “Battleship.” Hollywood is so scared of being called “Jewish owned and controlled,” that it goes out of its way to bring in anti-Semites in some naive belief that such practices will counter those accusations.

Ralph Adamo on January 15, 2014 at 3:27 pm

They should be vetted because as I believe Debbie has explained it, she is required to view all these movies to keep her membership in the Detroit Film Society. I do think it is possible to review a movie objectively and then add the disclaimer that is the essence of this article.

Meira on January 16, 2014 at 1:08 pm

Ralph,

As I already mentioned Jews have no problem living with and promoting the careers of Jew-hating Arabs who want to see them become extinct.

You would never see Muslims show respect towards Jews, though their are some exceptions like Morocco’s King Mohammed VI who recently asked the country’s Jews to pray for rain.

But that remains the exception and not the rule. Jews have no business making anti-Semites and Israel haters respectable, period.

NormanF on January 15, 2014 at 3:36 pm

Luttrell was an idiot. In an interview he said his team came upon a goat herder and his son. According to the Geneva Convention they could not kill them and had to let them go.
Luttrell and his team knew they would be ratted out to the enemy. So to follow some dumb rule NOT followed by the enemy, his team lost their lives.

Why get killed over dumb rules of engagement when you can avoid dying by doing what you must.

Glen benjamin on January 15, 2014 at 4:31 pm

Perhaps Suliman is getting criticism on his end for acting in a film that makes his boys look like a bunch of bloodthirsty murderers which in fact they are.
This doesn’t surprise me at all.
Once you get involved in the film industry stuff like this is a given.

Suliman’s acting gig no doubt builds useful taqiyah skills.
Be interesting to know what Luttrell’s explanation would be though.

Frankz on January 15, 2014 at 6:30 pm

Luttrell was NOT in charge of the unit. It was NOT his decision to make. Lt Mike Murphy made the call to let the goat herders go. They knew it could cost them their lives, but they also knew that if they had killed the unarmed civilians they would have been arrested and tried for murder by the military, because the Taliban would have made sure the International Media got the story about these poor innocent defenseless people had been killed by the Evil Americans.

Pay attention to the entire story. Do some research before flying off at the handle and defaming a man who endured an unbelievable tragedy. He is the only man out of 20 who survived the mountains that day. That makes him worthy of considerable respect.

Disgusted with Media on January 17, 2014 at 1:41 pm

Spoken like a true “Zionistic-minded” Jew. Apparently freedom fighters are only considered so in other places in the world like Cuba for example- God forbid anyone fighting for his freedom in the rat-hole mass prison built by Israel (aka Gaza) should ever be labelled as so by anyone- Ali Suliman or whoever.
Hollywood has labelled Arabs and many minorities as peasants, terrorists and infidels for years- yes I definitely agree with the late great Marlon Brando on this but God forbid the State of Israel as it has been since it was stated would ever be labelled as a terrorist state-no matter how many 100’s of thousands of Palestinians it had killed, imprisoned and tortured over the years… and you people on here wanna boycott a mere actor for playing his role and/or speaking his mind. You people have no low that you will ever stoop lower than do you??

Another reason why I take everything on this site with a grain of salt. I appreciate the klaxon sound on Islam, but really – trashing a movie about real heroism because of that??

Bob on January 15, 2014 at 7:10 pm

    Bob,

Its not heroism to fatten the bank of a bigot. Its cowardice!

No one would ever cast a white supremacist in a black movie or someone who hates women in a movie about women and pretend they’re decent people.

But Hollywood think Jews are undeserving of respect! Now its true some Jews act like the doormats of the world and I despise them for their groveling before those who hate them.

That still doesn’t mean I think we should help to further the public careers of their enemies. Whether that is Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala or Ali Suliman, we should have zero tolerance for people in public life for people who hate the Jews and Israel, period.

Its not about the movie; as Debbie would put it, its about the values, stupid. We need decide whose side we are on.

NormanF on January 15, 2014 at 8:00 pm

You can love Jews and hate Israel’s policies. I would think that since Israel is here to stay, a boycott is the only way to motivate the nation to settle for the two state solution.

The blog author knows full well that Yinon Zionism is a militant, killing form of Zionism supported by the neocons.

The author knows that this refusal to try to make peace with Iran could lead to WW3, and neocons or at least some of them, actually want WW3.

Gary Anderson on January 16, 2014 at 2:27 am

We know that Sharon was blamed, correctly, for allowing a massacre of Palestinians in 1982 that resulted in children getting their throats cut.

And the Lavon Affair in 1954 was a false flag against US interests in Egypt, and Israel admitted to it recently.

When are Americans going to wake up. My natural father was Jewish and I am adopted and I know that we must try for peace regardless of what Israel wants. It is in the US national interest.

Gary Anderson on January 16, 2014 at 2:30 am

Oh Gary, you bore me even more than you annoy me. Luckily, some others here are made of tougher stuff than I.

Suffice to say that any version of Zionism that does not include control of Israel is not Zionism. Similarly, any version of Islam that does not involve lying, theft, slavery, murder, and world domination is not Islam.

Also, only a scum sheds tests for Fakestinians but gets all upset when Jews defend themselves. I mean, being a nasty any-Semite is bad enough, but adding to that a love for Mooooslims is just too much.

skzion on January 17, 2014 at 11:19 am

Gary Anderson blames DA JOOZ for seeking new wars!

The truth is the exact opposite and Israel is supposed to give the Palestinian Arabs a state they don’t even want.

You are the one who needs to get his head out of his ass. News flash: Israel is not responsible for the world’s problems.

People who think Israel is the problem are pushing an anti-Semitic trope.

Gary Anderson in a word, is barking up the wrong tree.

NormanF on January 16, 2014 at 9:59 am

The only things I’ve seen recently that I really liked were the first episode of the new HBO series, ‘True Detective’, and a 2006 Christian Bale movie that I’d not seen previously, ‘Rescue Dawn’. I’ll probably wait till ‘Lone Survivor’ comes out on cable. The movie theaters are so full of disrespectful idiots that I almost get in a fight every time I go, which isn’t often. And, for the cost of going to a movie, I can drive downtown and see a classical symphony, opera or ballet. There should simply be theaters wherein they let people run wild with texting, talking on their cell phones, etc., etc. They could show old TV reruns and no one would know the difference because they’re not watching the movie anyway. Then, there should be theaters for sane people who actually go to see the movie. Yeah, I could be that retired cop in Florida.

Re Gary Anderson, I guess if you keep reading this post, you will, sooner or later, see every anti-semitic smear of the last 2,000 years dredged up.

    Yes, and then some.

Meira on January 16, 2014 at 1:10 pm

Gary Anderson, the former “NFL placekicker,” is correct. The answer to world peace is to make sure that Iran gets the nuclear bomb, and that a new Muslim state be carved out of Israel, also armed with nuclear bombs. Gary assures us that these things will ensure a secure and lasting peace to fully advance civilization, as has already been amply demonstrated in Egypt, Algeria, Iraq, Sudan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Syria, Tunisia, Somalia, United Arab Emigrates, Libya, and Lebanon. Israel has clearly been an obstacle to advancing civilization. Wouldn’t we all like every nation in the world to be like Iran, and wouldn’t we live in Iran if we could? Of course we would. Who could say no to that.

Ralph Adamo on January 16, 2014 at 2:12 pm

Why does pal Ali refer to himself or his family as “her” in the Facebook blurb? A slight cut & paste error, or something more… heh.

Phreak on January 16, 2014 at 12:42 pm

Arabic has masculine and feminine genders for nouns and verbs and adjectives have to agree. Hebrew does too. Most languages that do so categorize “family” as a feminine none. Hebrew = mishpocha. An “a” ending is usually indicative of feminine but not always. In Italian and Spanish it is as well and the word is “la familia” in Sp. and “la famiglia” in Italian.

Meira on January 16, 2014 at 1:01 pm

OOps, hit enter too soon. Anyway, most of those languages don’t have a neuter gender like Teutonic languages so when Arabs, Israelis and others are speaking English, they tend to assign the proper gender pronoun to the noun.

Have Gary Anderson and Thomas Friedman ever been seen together in the same room?

Yes, if that room has a mirror.

Ralph Adamo on January 16, 2014 at 3:51 pm

I won’t see the movie now that i know that the Fakestinian is in it. Hollyweird is in love with these terrorists because they are, at heart, terrified of them. They think they can appease them – they can’t.

Alice L. on January 16, 2014 at 3:58 pm

Maybe Debbie, you should wait a short time before reviewing movies, or maybe you shouldn’t review movies at all. Even Leonard Maltin’s book of reviews has glaring misses (way off base on the movie “Shampoo” e.g.). At least you did catch the fact that the movie did use an actor in a heroic part who is very anti-Israel and U.S. I don’t know if any other conservative in the media realized this.

NormCBS on January 16, 2014 at 3:59 pm

You missed the point; this muslim actor suppports the very terrorists who murdered Luttrell’s mates, as well as being an islamo-nazi. I note in his bio he was happy to take advantage of Jewish/Israeli stage schools, but that’s par for the course for muslims: take take take, then shit on the givers.

Cassandra on January 19, 2014 at 5:17 pm

Debbie, I would not throw the baby out with the bathwater on this one. After all, the movie itself stars Marky Mark, who is someone you have written extensively against yourself. I do not particularly care for MM’s history, but enjoyed the movie anyway. Marcus Luttrell is a SEAL, first and foremost. He had a writer help him with his book. I am sure he had advisors helping him with anything regarding this movie. Luttrell may not have had much of any say in who played what role, or maybe he picked Ali based on a headshot and screentest.

Just imagine the emotion of trying to bring to life the story of a day where you lost so many of your friends and coworkers. This man doubtlessly suffers through the memories of that awful day, every day of his life. To not have known about Ali is something you could give him a bit of a pass on. I think he has earned it.

If you have not read the book, the movie does do a “Hollywood” act on the overall story. The most glaring example of this is that the village was never under direct Taliban attack while it sheltered Luttrell. The worst danger he faced in the village was getting picked up by the helicopter, which picked him up in the dark, landing on a very steep hillside where one false move on the part of the pilots would have caused a catastrophic crash. Luttrell walked to the bird himself, and was not circling the drain about to die as depicted in the movie.

Do you think that Luttrell would have REALLY wanted his story changed that way? I doubt it, but people with money doubtlessly got the final say in the script that went to screen. I can imagine much the same happened with casting. Again, please cut Marcus some slack.

However, I still think the movie is a fine tribute to these fallen warriors. Such bravery and valor in the face of such a vile enemy. May they Rest in Peace, as their enemies get their just desserts in Hades.

Disgusted with Media on January 17, 2014 at 1:53 pm

I just saw the movie, not thinking to read your review beforehand. It’s shitty that a Jew-hater like Ali Suliman were cast in that part, but I doubt there was anything Marcus Luttrell could do about it.

I suppose you’re asking him to speak out about it now. Well, maybe, but Luttrell’s done his duty and then some. He’s a former Navy Seal, not a cultural or media pundit. As such, I could forgive him (and anyone else who went through the same trauma) a blind spot here and there.

It’s probably very hard keeping it all together, I’m sure. Butyou’re doing a service in pointing Suliman out, too, and I appreciate that.
