NBA Billionaire Mark Cuban Responds to–and Defames–Schlussel

By and Mark Cuban
I must’ve have really gotten to billionaire NBA owner Mark Cuban in of his outrageous new film, “The War Within.” He responded to me below, and has claimed to me and others–including my own cousin, Ira–that I did not see the movie. In fact, I did.
I would never write a movie review without first seeing the movie. That would be malpractice. If Cuban wants proof, he can check with the Detroit area publicist for the film, Sean Engler, Detroit Free Press Film Critic Terry Lawson, and Detroit News Film Critic Tom Long–all of whom saw me at the screening at Birmingham’s Palladium movie theater.
Nice try, though, Mark. You know what they say about people who assume things. And Happy New Year! Go Pistons!

Mark was briliant in timing when he sold to Yahoo. It was the coup of the internet bubble. I wish Mark would read some books on Islam like Robert Spencer’s Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam or Bostum’s The Legacy of Jihad. Of course, I wish Bush, Rice and Rove would read those books as well. An infidel can dream, can’t he?
I like Mark and hope he becomes more knowledgeable about Islam from critics to contrast with the apologists he may have been exposed to recently.

A big day for both of us, huh???
i was surprised when i saw THIS on Amazon.com—
A perspective on perspective itself, Jew Girl, October 13, 2005
Reviewer: Jlongwalk “John” (Florida) – See all my reviews
When is the last time you’ve had to face yourself in the mirror? Imagine taking a slice of New York today and seeing all the things that have been swept under the rug for so long that they have finally come home all festered and ripe!
Take a walk in finding the direction this brilliant author moves you through the experiences of “being alive” today by seeing the “truths” we’d all rather be hid as a society.
Spend a day or two that after the ride, you will not see the world the same way as you did before. The gift of this writer is the shift of perspective. A far more honest and unapologetic one, but true.
You will miss out on something truly wonderful by not reading this book.

…..looks like we’re BOTH making inroads to a larger audience, and while i expect you to delete THIS comment, we’re both fighting the rising tide of anti-Semitism that seems to be in vogue nowadays!!!

Where is the defamation in Cuban’s email, Deb? After you’ve called him a “jihadist propaganda producer, “the Danny Bonaduce of the NBA,” a “failed reality TV star,” and “loudmouth billionaire,” where is the defamation in Cuban’s email?
Respectfully,

I think Mark Cuban thought he would go for the dunk.
But… he has to have the ball, and he was shooting blanks.
He had no ball. I wonder, considering the in depth review, why Mark, didn’t you have any balls, er, ball, and give a correspondingly in depth reply?
Maybe the movie is mushy hyperbole, is not ‘cutting edge,’?
I haven’t seen it…. now that I read debbie’s review, I’ll continue to view documentaries like Pierre Rehov’s, and honest reportings
‘Relentless’ for indepth analysis and factual analyses.

Avalon:
Defamation has to be false–by definition. Everything I wrote about Mark Cuban was true. What he said–that I did NOT see the movie when I, indeed, DID–is defamatory. I would NEVER write a review on something I did NOT see. To say otherwise–when this gazillionaire could easily check with the publicists he paid to promote the film–is reckless disregard for the facts, false, and defamatory.

My apologies, Debbie. I didn’t see the words “you didn’t see the movie” in his email to you.

Avalon:
Mark Cuban explicitly told many people in e-mails that I “didn’t see the movie.” That’s a lie. And this in his e-mail to me, implies the same:
“Would you like to go see the movie so you have a
clue what you are talking about ?”

The termites within the movie business

Looks like Jodie Foster’s got some competition now for who can be the worst Islamophile in the film industry: a sports team owner by the name of Mark Cuban.
