Nermin Spahic: Iowa Muslim Imam Says Criminal Sex Charges Violate His “Religious Freedom” – Islamic Modesty Case #4,593,322
Time for another edition of “Your Day in Islamic Modesty.”
You know how Muslims, Islamo-pandering politicians, and idiots like Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby are always lecturing us on “Islamic modesty” (and how their alleged claim to modesty is supreme to that of all other religions)? Well, here’s case # 4,593,322 of “Islamic Modesty”. Oh, and it’s also case #26,344,781 of “Awesome Naturalized Immigrants & Supermodels for Amnesty.”
Nermin Spahic: Muslim Imam is Latest Supermodel for “Islamic Modesty” & “Religious Freedom”
An attorney for a Des Moines Islamic leader charged with sexual abuse and exploitation has asked a judge to drop two of the charges, arguing that they violate the man’s religious freedom. . . . Nermin Spahic, 40, . . . faces one count of third-degree sexual abuse and two counts of sexual exploitation by a counselor or therapist. He was arrested in August after a 42-year-old woman and her 18-year-old daughter told police that Spahic sexually assaulted them during a religious ceremony.
Iowa law spells out that counselors and therapists are barred from “sexual conduct” with patients. But because Spahic never had a formal relationship with the two women, using his religious position to charge him should be unconstitutional, Campbell argued in the motion. . . . “The ceremony he was performing was not psychotherapy, nor was it counseling,” the motion said. “The sexual exploitation charges are therefore necessarily based on his religious identity and the religious nature of his relationships to the accusers.” . . .
The woman on Aug. 12 called Spahic to her house in Johnston for help with her daughter, who reportedly suffered from personal issues, including depression and drug use, police and court papers said. Spahic allegedly performed an Islamic ceremony that involved “chanting and rubbing the body with oil,” court papers said. . . . At the time of his arrest Spahic served as the imam — a leader of Islamic prayer services — at the Des Moines Islamic and Cultural Center Bosniak on Lower Beaver Road.
Please no jokes about the name of the road and Imam Spahic’s apparent uncontrollable predilection for it. In case you were wondering, Spahic is a Bosnian Muslim–you know, one of those stellar “persecuted” Bosnian refugees we allowed into America in droves.
This isn’t the first time I’ve heard that a Muslim imam in America engages in sexual abuse disguised as “counseling” of his congregants. I’ve heard from several Muslims about how a very prominent Shi’ite imam in the Detroit area insists on sex with women who seek a divorce before he will grant one.
Islamic modesty? It’s yet another oxymoron. The sooner the Islamo-panderers wake up to that fact, the better.
Remember the 9/11 hijackers’ fave hangout, “The Pink Pony”?
Remember, “Islamic Modesty” Looks. Like. This. . . .
