No Tears for Anti-American, Anti-Israel Creep Casey Kasem & His Similarly Inclined Kids
**** UPDATE: Casey Kasem Hosted Anti-Semitic Palestinian Event Featuring Jew-Hater, Holocaust Denier ****
When he was healthy and had a celebrity bully pulpit, Casey Kasem was a far-left, anti-American, anti-Israel creep, who dumped his first wife for a blonde model/actress bimbo. So no tears for him from me, now that he is old, sick, and infirm. Karma is a bitch. And anti-Israel, anti-American karma is a sharmouta.
Karma is a Bitch for Israel-Hater Casey Kasem (Pictured at Openly Pro-HAMAS/Hezbo ADC Fundraising Dinner)
You may have read the sob stories over the formerly famous DJ Kasem, who used to host “American Top 40” and was the voice of “Shaggy”on TV’s animated “Scooby Doo.” Now 81, Kasem is in the advanced stages of Parkinson’s Disease, and his aging bimbo second wife, Jean (she played Loretta Tortelli, Carla’s sister-in-law, on NBC’s “Cheers” and a short-lived spin-off), refuses to let Kasem’s kids from wife #1 see him. No tears for them, either. It’s apparently a case of what goes around comes around for Kasem and his kids, given their politics.
Born Kamal Amin Kasem to Lebanese Druze Arab parents who left British Mandate Palestine for Lebanon and then moved to Detroit, Kasem was on the forefront of attacking Israel at every opportunity possible and helping openly pro-Hezbollah/HAMAS groups, like the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and the Arab American Institute, raise money. Kasem also authored a brochure for the Arab American Institute, which applauded Candice Lightner, the half-Arab founder of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), for attacking Israel. In the article, Kasem wrote:
When Lightner protested the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon, her boyfriend called her “anti-Semitic.” The relationship ended. Her non-Arab father knew better. “Honey, you are a Semite,” he said. “That’s the way I was raised,” says Lightner. “We [Arabs and Jews] are all Semites.“
That is, of course, baloney. Everyone knows that anti-Semitism means hatred of Jews, but Arabs–particularly Muslims–have tried to hijack the term as a red herring to distract from their hobby of Jew-hatred.
When Israel invaded Lebanon in 1990 to save its people from PLO rapists, torturers, and killers–and at the time, even the New York Times documented how Israelis were welcomed by Shi’ites and Christians as liberators, Casey Kasem was in People Magazine and on Entertainment Tonight attacking the Jews and Israel. He also attacked Israel in the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah War, signing a full page Arab American Institute ad against Israel (along with Paul Anka, Jamie Farr, Tony Shalhoub, F. Murray Abraham, and other Arab celebs). And he endorsed the 2009 Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) “Benefit Concert for Gaza” (MPAC’s chief and founder is married to the chief of Kind Hearts, shut down for financing HAMAS).
Kasem was also constantly at far-left marches and protests, whether it was against the Vietnam War, while our guys were losing life and limb over there, or at anti-Reagan protests. This Arab nationalist, to whom America gave so much, clearly didn’t share too much of a love affair with the country. Kasaem also helped raise money for ACCESS–the tax-funded Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services–a Muslim-dominated, tax-funded Arab welfare agency based in Dearbornistan.
As I’ve told you before, ACCESS gets millions from the federal and Michigan governments and has used that money to train Al-Qaeda terrorists and help them get commercial drivers licenses and Hazardous Materials Hauling Certificates; to fund the anti-Israel Divestment Conference at the University of Michigan; to harbor and help shield Muslim illegal aliens (including terrorists) in the United States; and to aid and abet pregnant Muslim aliens in birthright citizenship for their children, all while defrauding Medicaid.
From a September 1990 People Mag article on Kasem:
Long an antinuclear lobbyist and homeless-rights advocate, Kasem traces his active Arab-American politicking to the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon. “You wind up with 20,000 dead Lebanese and Palestinians, 40,000 maimed and 150,000 left homeless,” he says. “That’s when my shoe was stepped on. All of a sudden, that was really close to home.”
Outside the radio studio, home for Kasem is actually a Holmby Hills, Calif., spread complete with sunken tennis court and a three-hole golf course where he and wife Jean, 35 (formerly ditsy Loretta of TV’s The Tortellis), moved this spring. . . .
He won’t be lowering his voice when it comes to Arab-American bias. Kasem insists he’ll keep right on protesting U.S. military actions in the Middle Last along with fellow opponents like Ron Kovic and Daniel Ellsberg. Guns may be poised in the Gulf, says Kasem, but “the only way we’re ever going to get a solution is through dialogue, not through war.”
Sadly, Kasem’s kids were “educated” and “trained” in his politics and share his far-left, anti-American, anti-Israel views. So, I have the same amount of sympathy for them as I do for him. The same amount of sympathy they have for innocent Israeli victims of Islamic terrorism: zero.
Casey Kasem’s trademark line was, “Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.” Sadly, he didn’t take his own advice, and reached for the jihad, instead.
The same jihad that wasn’t too kind to his Druze ancestors or relatives that are still in the Middle East.
As I said, no tears for this guy and his kids. They have no tears for innocent victims of the Islamic terrorists they support.
