On 9/11, Remember . . . And Know It Was the Best PR Move By Muslims. Ever.

by Debbie Schlussel

Every year on the anniversary of 9/11, including today, I put up the three things every American needs to know and remember. But there are actually two more that I’ll be adding in future years: Remember the assorted hucksters, con artists, and phonies who’ve fraudulently turned 9/11 into their commercial brand and used it to fill their coffers (including Palestinian Muslim con artist Hanan Qahwaji Tudor a/k/a Brigitte Gabriel–stay tuned for more on her in a later post, fake terrorist/genuine stalker Walid Shoebat, car loan fraud perpetrator Scamela Geller (who has two murders in her path), and assorted other malefactors); and Remember, as I’ve noted many times before, that the 9/11 attacks were the best public relations move ever by Muslims, who got America, its leaders, pop culture, and other American societal forces to bend over backward (and forward) for Islam, Muslims, their intolerance, and their regressive, backward ways. And got them to make American less safe than we were on 9/10/01.

palcheers911.jpg

Remember also that 12 years later, Ground Zero is still not rebuilt. One World Trade Center isn’t even complete and won’t be until next year. So much for “showing them.” Nope, they showed us and continue to have the last laugh. Instead, what we have to show for this is thousands of American lives and limbs lost because President Bush wanted to hand a Sunni country (Iraq) over to Shi’ites (Iran). And thousands more American lives and limbs given in the service of building roads and handing out candy in Afghanistan, per President Bush’s demand. And then there is the Arab Spring democracy BS that further destabilized the Middle East and gave Al-Qaeda and extremist Muslims (a redundant phrase) free reign. It was begun by Bush with his push for “democratic elections” in Gaza, Iraq, and Lebanon, which as a result became HAMASastan, an Iranian satellite state, and Hezbollahstan–another Iranian satellite state. It was continued with Barack Obama’s pushes in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, and Syria, using American pressure, support, money, weaponry, and CIA advisors. This is how we responded to 9/11. If we did this during World War II, the whole world would be saluting Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo.

I detest those who say today is a “national day of service,” but won’t say why or who made today a day of solemn mourning as it should be for nearly 3,000 Americans who were mass-murdered on our soil. Those who say we should “remember” 9/11, but who skip over the part about WHO DID IT and WHO CELEBRATED IT, are not remembering it at all. The 9/11 attacks were not committed by ghosts or the invisible man. They were not perpetrated by Fijians or Samoans or Wiccans. And those same groups didn’t celebrate the attacks. Nope, it was one group, with 1.8 billion adherents worldwide that did both the mass murder and the celebrating afterword. If you won’t admit that, you aren’t remembering a thing. You’re in fantasyland (and not the kind with the 72 re-virginized).

So here are the other main things you must remember on this and every 9/11 anniversary and every other day . . .

* REMEMBER WHO WAS MURDERED & DIED ON THAT DAY:

Nearly 3,000 innocent people targeted and murdered in cold blood because they were Americans. People like my cousin, Jon Schlissel, who heroically went back to his office to save someone who needed help getting out. The Muslims who died that day were collateral damage and not the target of the Muslims who perpetrated the attacks. Clearly, their deaths meant nothing to their fellow Muslims around the world, who cheered the attacks, passed out candy, danced in the streets, and let out their stupid hyena-like, “lalalalalalahs.” The deaths of these Muslims are important to them and the mainstream media only for politically correct public relations purposes.

My Cousin, Jon Schlissel, Z”L (Of Blessed Memory), Died on 9/11

* REMEMBER WHO DID IT:

“9/11 Was an Islam Job” Graphic By Reader Doda McCheesle

This was the act of 19 Arab Muslim men. No, they weren’t “random” people acting alone. They didn’t “hijack a religion” or any of that other BS we’ve heard rotely regurgitated for the last ten years. Their religion–ISLAM–hijacked them, and it continues its slow hijacking of America because we continue to let their fellow co-religionists in and we continue to bend over for them. Islam is at war with the West, particularly America. So long as we continue to claim we are not at war with Islam, we are losing that war.

* REMEMBER WHO CELEBRATED & CHEERED:

Muslims around the world–Palestinian Muslims on the streets of Ramallah, Palestinian Muslim Sunnis on the streets of Patterson, New Jersey, Shi’ite Muslims who were waiters and staff at a Middle Eastern restaurant in West Bloomfield, Michigan, Lebanese, Iraqi, and Iranian Shi’ite Muslims all over Dearbornistan. And, as I noted, the Pew Research Center reveals that at least a third of these “American” (in name only) Muslims openly support Al-Qaeda and suicide bombings against Americans, which means they still celebrate.

The narrative posited by our awful media falls along the lines of: “…what did we do to make them so mad?” Ignoring a voluminous history of jihad against western nations that predates any of the west’s conventional political enemies.

Failing to learn from, let alone teach history is any great nations downfall.

P. Aaron on September 11, 2013 at 8:57 am

Muslims are nothing but maggots on the corpses of once great nations.
Islam is poison and death.
May Islam and all its adherents become extinct in our lifetimes.
Never forget.
Let’s get over our mass reaction formation, deal with the pain of the reality of 9/11 and get on with exterminating Islam.

Pray Hard on September 11, 2013 at 9:35 am

It’s terrible but true, the headline you wrote. No disputing it, no matter what. Look how they lobbied for a victory mosque in down town. Politicians continue to kiss butt all the time. Useful idiots, locally scarf down Lebanese cuisine like this never happened. Don’t forget how the muslims were given a permit to march on DC and the bikers were denied. I hope that ends well. Bikers aren’t my favorite group of all time but they’ve shown up for soldiers funerals in the form of the Freedom Riders. I believe they’re all vets. Some are older gentlemen. They’ve pretty much dealt with the Westboro Baptist church scum, but obviously they’re not afraid to stand up to anyone with anti American attitudes. 9/11 must remain a day of remembering, not of “service” as some would have it be. Obviously those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

samurai on September 11, 2013 at 9:45 am

I just checked the news online and it appears the “Million Muslim March” was a HUGE bust! 25 people showed up – many of whom were paid to show up to be speakers at the event. There were also about an equal number of Christian protesters there, but they were not pictured because the Park Police were keeping them behind a pre-determined “red line” so they would not disturb the Muzzies.

The Two Million Biker event though – in honor of the victims of 9/11 and also in protest of the Million Muslim March – appears to be a roaring success. Not sure how many bikers were there because the lines of motorcycles on the roads were l-o-o-n-g. People who are there say the lines of bikers go as far as the eye can see, and then some, sometimes traveling three of four abreast.

This is the event the Park Service said they could not accommodate because their resources would be so stretched by the Million Muslims. Um hmmmm…

Perhaps the resources would be so stretched trying to ensure the Muslims weren’t planning to blow something up. We KNOW the bikers weren’t planning any harm.

One last thought: I wonder exactly how many politicians and public figures are currently owned by the Saudis. After all, this is the only reason I can think of that so many people in Washington – and other areas of public life – are so absolutely determined to continue the lie that Islam is a peaceful religion and they mean us no harm.

Did anyone else see that John Kerry actually said that the Saudis would repay us for any military action we took in Syria? So now our Armed Forces are a wholly owned mercenary organization for sale to the highest bidder? Thanks, Obama.

MIGirl on September 11, 2013 at 2:01 pm

Migirl, It’s been that way for years. Bush senior turned down a nice bonus for the troops in theater when many were dirt poor and could’ve used the cash they offered by the Saudis. The military gies you some pcket money for the combat pay, that’s about it. bush did piss off a bunch of active duty personnel with that move. In contrast, I’m sure he pocketed some nice gratuity for the protections racket.

samurai on September 11, 2013 at 4:25 pm

OUTSTANDING, MIGirl, outstanding. While walking my dog this A.M., my neighbor thanked me for flying the stars and stripes at half mast. I told him it was my duty, no thanks needed. If you get a chance to see a tribute to a hero of 9/11 on ESPN, watch it. Young guy that saved many lives and lost his. Might find it by googling “red bandana with 9/11.” Try lifting weights while crying, pretty difficult.

WilliamMunny on September 11, 2013 at 7:27 pm

I remember.

I remember my wife telling me one of her fellow employees had to make a quick stop at the Trade Center in NYC just before flying to South Korea for a client meeting…she didn’t make it. At the Memorial Service held in the Detroit area, ———- hmmm, the woman’s family had no words to bring her back and my wife broke down in tears, in her car, before she drove back to the office. She still does tear-up every September 11th. She remembers.

As far as I am concerned, the barbaric, medieval so-called culture of misogynists, slavers, disgusting female mutilation practices, and self-indulgent superiority attitudes over non-Muslims can kiss my skinny ass. I have had it with them and their sycophant supporters.

Western countries and , now, the U.S. are caving-in to this perverse belief system of Islamic Theocracy. WTF???

No more Foreign Aid to these parasites. No more allowing them to come here to learn. NO MORE OF THEIR OIL. And no more “nice guys” if we are attacked again – just a big, blinding flash of light in the Middle Eastern night sky and a quick melting of a certain black cube of stone.

This time, LET THEM WEEP.

Dennis on September 11, 2013 at 10:29 am

Listening to the lack of communication, the utter lack of listening in that phone call is so painful … just like listening to it that day. It was just a massive, nationwide cluster f**k. When that eight and a half minutes can be cut down to eight and a half seconds, we might be prepared to face these monsters.
Learn how to protect yourselves and prevail in armed and unarmed combat.
Rest in peace, all who perished on that day.
Muslims, yours is coming.

Jack on September 11, 2013 at 11:25 am

One chilling moment on that day-out of many- was a scene on TV of a group of Muslims celebrating the terrorist attacks. One man held up his cell phone for the camera with a smile on his face-the screen saver showed a cartoon of a jet hitting the World Trade Center.
We have to fight against the Muslim world or we are lost.

PaulaMalka on September 11, 2013 at 11:48 am

I’m with you Salt. Don’t forget this ponderous nation voted in Barack Hussein Obama TWICE. The shame is all around nthe USA.

I’m a serious as a heart attack when I point out how on point DS is on Islam. There is no one even close. I listen to many shows and read many things and she is the only one saying it like it is. Even people who *almost* take it to the truth as she does still STOP at “moderates”. Now, yes, it could be said they are just saying that for cover (*almost* understandably…) BUT then they would fill in other lines if they didn’t actually believe it (and they don’t…). You can’t fight this problem wisely WITHOUT the understanding that there are NO “moderates”. The. End.

If you doubt me just read all the stories on Islam allowed to filter through the cover up. It speaks for itself. Idiot or not (it’s not my fault if someone is too dumb or mentally ill to connect the dots….).

I am glad DS brought up Shoebat. Again, many people who *ALMOST* get it have him on as a guest and it irks me to no end. If you listen to him he sounds like he’s selling a good game BUT I find he always lets in clues about what a FRAUD he is. And when I first heard him I had never heard of him before but from knowing & learning things from this site I was able to see thru’ him…and before I knew it DS had mentioned him in a column as a fraud. It. Works.

The people who mean well hear him and think he’s great. It’s very annoying and frustrating. The don’t know Islam well and want to believe and that is why they fall for it. I heard him two weeks ago on a show that almost gets it (but no guitar…) and when he was asked about the brazenness of “The Million Muslim March” his only reply was there would no way be 1 million Moooooooslims in it. Nice bait and switch, you FRAUD!

I know of Brigette Gabriel and before DS pointed it out I thought she was legit (but didn’t hear her much…). I confess I have NOT looked into her shady past…she is a non-entity for me these days so I do trust in DS’reporting…and I look forward to that article. Also, I have read DS’ columns on Scamella and I trust her 100% on it because the little I have read on her has been truthful about her and Slobbert. So I avoid them all.

9/11 WAS AN ISLAM JOB. ISLAM IS ILLEGITIMATE & DANGEROUS!

Islam, the antithesis of civilization, has demonstrated itself to be unfixable.

It’s so appropriate on 9/11 to speak, contemplate, and review the damn old nasty truth about this plague on humanity. The day should be a festival of condemnation of Islam.

How insensitive can Muslims be? Holding a rally on 911 in washington:

sal on September 11, 2013 at 2:50 pm

There were a lot more motorcyclists here in DC than Muslims. Neither crowd was particularly prominent. (I just drove by the Mall).

Jonathan E. Grant on September 11, 2013 at 3:23 pm

Jonathan, apparently there was so many bikers who showed up at the rally point in Maryland that they agreed they would not drive through downtown DC but instead make a loop around Washington on 495. They did tell the bikers that if they chose to, they could ride into downtown and past the Mall, but not all of the bikers will be doing that.

All of the pics I saw of the Muslim march only had about 10 or 20 people, and most of them were either on the speakers platform or they were tourists who wandered past. In addition I read that a group of 20 or so Christians came with signs protesting the rally, but were kept away from the Muslims by park police.

So, in all, the Biker tribute to the fallen of 9/11 was a roaring success, and the Muslim celebration was a giant bust. Which is as it should be.

MIGirl on September 11, 2013 at 4:33 pm

Good article Debbie.

Also on this day, we won’t see and hear those who are commemorating what occurred on that day and pay their respects to the victims who were slaughtered at the hands of islamofascists terrorists, but also, a good number of muslim-zealots are actually celebrating this day by pounding their chests and feeling good to great about themselves, and also, the neo-Nazis and dhimmi’s will give out their conspiracy-theory BS of spewing out trutherism like the typical 9/11 Truthers they are, and I’d like to verify this link for the Truthers if they’re going to troll here and give out their crap and not naming those who attacked us:

http://www.debunking911.com/

I also agree with you in the link as well Debbie, when you said that it wasn’t ghost and/or spirits (BTW, I don’t believe in ghosts, goblins, spirits, etc.) or invisible men who attacked us, nor it wasn’t Fajians, Samoans, Pagan-wiccans, etc. who did 9/11/01, but it was “muslim-terrorists” who perpetrated it. And I also pity those who’ve been saying: “the attackers and the terrorists hijacked the religion of islam, islam is a beautiful religion blah blah blah”, whereas their faith/cult has already been hijacked when it was formed and created by their alleged Prophet Mohammed 1400 years ago, by adding NUMEROUS dogmatic texts/passages in their that’s hateful, misogynistic, supports rape, supports violence towards non-muslims, supports death and genocide towards the LGBT community, etc. And the muslims who are following this faith are the real victims here folks, I and all of us pity them here, rather than hate them on a micro-level!

I’m afraid all most of them care about anymore is getting their food stamps, education handouts, mortgage handouts, welfare handouts, medical care handouts,’reproductive health’ handouts and preferential hiring and profiling handouts. Those are the only values America represents to most people.

Little Al on September 11, 2013 at 3:48 pm

I am worried for humankind when i see the amount of neanderthal and hateful comments about Islam.
If every terror attack that occurred, the person responsible’s religion had be eradicated and all those who belonged to it, most of the world would be dead.
It is scary to think an adult wrote this article and that fellow adults are agreeing with.
9/11 should be about remembrance of all those who lost their lives, not hate, pain and to pick who to blame for it.

Just a young kid. on September 11, 2013 at 4:47 pm

Just for starters, what exactly is your age? Are you a pre-adolescent or punk teenage child? No need for me to mock and ridicule your age, but you couldn’t be any more wrong and fallacious in your comment.

This is “reality” what were all using here, NOT hate, prejudice, bigotry or racism (for starters, don’t give the shit of blah blah blah your a racists against islam), islam is NOT a group of people, it is a dogmatic ideology disguised as a religion in order to sway everyone (like yourself who’s totally gullible and uninformed). Also, could you clarify and point in ANY of the 26 comments here that any of us, including the author of this blog have called for a genocide towards muslims?

You’ve heard of the phrase: “don’t attack the messenger by throwing stones at glass-houses, only rationally disagree what the messenger wrote” (ok, you didn’t attack DS, thank god). Also, whether you like it or not, Debbie’s words and analytical hypothesis here is protected by the 1st Amendment without anyone attempting to trample on her rights of freedom of speech, freedom of expression, etc., maybe its you who ought to continue to learn what the 1st Amendment is all about, instead of using stupid PC rubbish that’s holding the country back from everyone seeing the ugly real world for what it is! Please grow up and WAKE. THE. HELL. UP!

    Sean R. on September 11, 2013 at 5:16 pm

    @Just a young skid mark

Actually if you had to add up all the terror attacks you’d see that about 99% of them are perpetrated by Muslims.
Of course you wouldn’t want to start paying attention because then you’d actually have to start listening to the vile “neanderthal” hate speech that comes out of the Muslim world on a daily basis.

I worry for the world when I think that know nothings like you will be the future.

On 9/11 we don’t only remember the people who died. We remember why they died. That’s part of being a grown up kiddo. That’s part of living in the real world.

Frankz on September 11, 2013 at 5:39 pm

Just a young baby goat, why don’t you do what I suggested in my first post. You have a right to be young and ignorant (we have all been there…) but you are not learned nor wise. So you will not be taken seriously.

Read this blog regularly and read all the Moooooslim stories that make the news and then come back. If you still don’t get it then …we’ll you’re beyond help. And hopefully will be taken down before (for your nonsense)the righteous. That’s all.

Skunky on September 11, 2013 at 5:52 pm

The “lalalalalalahs” ululation is often used at weddings and funerals apparently. In this case they may be celebrating the wedding of the martyrs to their houris in paradise.
I don’t know that but it may be the case and there is a symmetry to it.
Or maybe it’s just a sound they make when they’re ecstatic and on a sugar high from all the celebratory sweets they start gobbling to compensate for the alcohol they aren’t getting.

Whether it burns fast or slow this is primarily a religious war.

Frankz on September 11, 2013 at 5:02 pm

All I ever care to say about 9/11 is that I wasn’t shocked when it happened. There was a similar scenario (airliner used as kamikaze weapon) in a Tom Clancy novel I had read a few years previously. As I read it I remember thinking “ya know, I bet that happens one of these days”. 9/11 only serves to demonstrate just how corrupt, inept and entrenched Washington really is.

As a proud American, it is truly sad to see people on this site that has a loved one or knew somebody that lost their life at the hands of these barbarians. I am afraid, however, that the damage done by these heathens and collaborators like politicians, the media and people that espouse the progressive or communist agenda has all but destroyed what was once a great nation. Even the typical American man, with the warrior mentality, seems to simply have lost their will to fight.

There was an episode on 60 Minutes that aired shortly after 911 in which they did a segment on so-called American-Muslims, students no doubt, receiving tax dollars. Anyway, they interviewed them, in full garb and they publicly stated that they supported the destruction of the towers. Does anyone remember this episode?

Moreover, take for example, the female Muslim that they put on the UC Board of Regents, a student from Cal, and will earn something of the order of 300 (k) per year and maintain the position for a 12 year term. What kind of S__t is that? Remember that this university is so progressive that they do not even want Chaz Napolitano there.

AR on September 11, 2013 at 8:52 pm

Good article. Like everybody here, I remember exactly what I was doing when I first heard the news of the 9/11 attacks. (This tendency to remember what we were doing on days of national traumas probably affects most people the same way, and I’m sure that people who were around when the Pearl Harbor attacks happened or JFK was assasinated also tend to remember what they were doing then.)

I remember driving to work, like any other day, when a report came in on the radio that a plane had flown into one of the World Trade Center towers. Then, some commentators starting talking about it: was it an accident or intentional? I remember thinking that there was no doubt in my mind that the plane was intentionally flown into the tower and could not possibly have been an accident. Then, after settling in at work, a report of a second plane crashing into the other tower came in. Now, the radio (and TV) commentators were saying that it was “unlikely” to be an accident. (At this point I would have liked to get these commentators in a headlock and give them a couple of sound “noogies” with a “hello, McFly, anybody home?”)

Then, the commentators shifted again and began to tell us that we should not jump to conclusions that this was a Muslim attack. After all, what about Timothy McVey? The media seemed to be doing everything it could to shift attention away from the likelihood that Muslims were behind the attack. But finally, the next wave of reports–around the time the towers fell or soon afterward–mentioned the name of Osama bin Laden. Because of numerous intelligence reports from all over the globe (not the just the US) pointed in his direction, it became clear that this was a Muslim-based attack on America.

The response of virtually everybody I knew was immediate: anger that Muslims would dare to attack America. Yet, the response from President Bush was equally swift, but his message was that Americans should not blame Muslims or Islam. Thus began such a wave of governmental Islamo-pandering, with the major media falling in lock-step, that Americans could not express the anger that they felt. Those of the leftist persuasion even took the view that “we had it coming to us” for “all of the bad things we’ve done.” Absurd–but that almost seems to be the official view today.

The current situation in Syria proves that the US government and most politicians still don’t get it. McCain–who really needs to retire ASAP–continues his nonsensical “moderate Muslim” mantra.

The lessons of history are clear: The enemy of my enemy is not necessarily my ally, let alone my friend.

Ralph Adamo on September 11, 2013 at 9:27 pm

Two things are to blame for 9-11: Islam and liberalism.

You let Muslim fanatics into your country, the 9-11 killers learned to fly in US flight schools. And it’s only gotten worse since then: more Islam in America and more liberalism. Obama is a symptom. America is finished, Republicans for the most part are as bad as the Dhimmicrats.

It’s not a case of if America will collapse and fall apart, it’s a case of how exactly and when exactly, just the time-line of the upcoming catastrophes.

CAIR-MI Welcomes Halal Accommodations in Crestwood District Schools
Last Updated on Monday, 09 September 2013 16:09 | | | Hits: 21
(SOUTHFIELD, MI, 9/9/13) — The Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) today welcomed the Crestwood School District implementing halal meals to accommodate its Muslim students.

The Crestwood School District, which compromises schools in the City of Dearborn Heights, has a significant and growing Muslim student population.

CAIR-MI worked with the district and concerned parents for the implementation of halal meals, which includes halal meats.

“We welcome the implementation of halal meals at all Crestwood schools,” said CAIR-MI Safe Spaces Coordinator Warda Kalim. “We hope that other school districts in Southeast Michigan provide similar accommodations to serve our area’s growing Muslim population.”

Kalim said that CAIR-MI has recently worked with other institutions in varying areas of the state to provide halal meals.

CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

S: I’ve been aware of the story for a while. Far worse, as I’ve written about Crestwood in the past, is that the school district takes off for the Eids and has engaged in other Islamo-pandering. DS

I found another outrageous muslim story here they are hijacking our Pledge of Allegiance .The story….The principal of Concord Carlisle High School is apologizing to parents about the school’s opening ceremony on Wednesday – the 12th anniversary of 9/11 – in which a Muslim poem was recited over the intercom but the Pledge of Allegiance was not.

Principal Peter Badalament said in a statement to parents that the poem was meant to promote “cross-cultural understanding,” and that the Pledge of Allegiance was not read because of a mixup with the student reader.

The combination of the two has “outraged a small number of members of our community,” Badalament said in an email to the Globe, noting that the school has received a handful of calls and about 10 emails from unhappy parents.

“Yesterday was the first Wednesday of the school year; we were unaware that our student Pledge reader had an internship commitment on this day,” Badalament said in the statement.. “This was our responsibility to know. We humbly apologize that this oversight and communication gap occurred.”

Badalament said officials were only thinking of the well-being of their students when they chose to read the poem, Mohja Kahf’s “My Grandmother Washes Her Feet in the Sink of the Bathroom at Sears.” The poem recounts a granddaughter’s account of watching her grandmother adhere to the religious Muslim custom of washing her feet five times a day, though it puts the pair in an awkward situation at an American department store.

Kahf writes in a section of the poem:

Respectable Sears matrons shake their heads and frown as they notice what my grandmother is doing, an affront to American porcelain, a contamination of American Standards by something foreign and unhygienic requiring civic action and possible use of disinfectant spray They fluster about and flutter their hands and I can see
a clash of civilizations brewing in the Sears bathroom

Badalament said the district will “integrate the feedback that has been offered into our future work with students.”

The direction this country is headed in makes me wonder how much longer will America be home of the brave and land of the free.. I read many posts here today concerning muslims and it is alarming at what is going on right before our very eyes.. I hope it is ok to post this here.It made me think from the Schools in Michigan — fast forward with another state and school to include on the list..Concord, New Hampshire..I learned a lot here today and thank you very much.

I have two memories of reactions to 9/11 which illustrate how bin Laden had correctly surmised the state of the American psyche after Black Hawk Down in Mogadishu in 1993. He expected Clinton to unleash hell but instead nothing happened. The first was Bush’s either ignorant or cowardly capitulation when he declared islam to be a religion of peace. However what was more revealing was the snippet I noticed at the time where a woman who lost her husband in the attack sued the US government for $100M to compensate her for the financial loss she had suffered. Would that have happened in the second week of December 1941? I expect not and what it revealed was an unwillingness to take personal loss as the price of victory. I thought that was the more telling example.

Outstanding article Debbie as usual. Like most Americans (including the usual posters on this site) I know exactly where I was on 9-11. I was still active duty in the greatest Navy in the world being screened for another job. It was a hectic day if you were active duty military. Sadly due to the media in this country (Fox News included) we do remmeber those who died but we forget who attacked us. Note to the Obamanation it wasn’t the TEA Party or us bitter clingers it was Muslim fanatic dirtbags. I for one get so sick and tired of whiners in the media asking stupid questions like why did they attack us and what can we do to make them like us. Hello brain dead jurinalist they hate us for being AMERICANS. Some of like Debbie get that and that is why I come here to get the real scoop on the Muslim scum. Who can forget that even now said scum celebrated and danced in the streets like trained monkeys when the towers fell. It just made me sick to no end. Debbie I’m also glad that you gave to real low down in Brigette Gabriel. I always thought that she was the real deal way back when I watched Vannity’s TV show. It’s funny that she talks real fast to make her point. It reminds me of two other husksters Marco Rubio and Marc Lamont Hill. I guess people like that talk fast to cover up their assorted BS. Due to my weekly schedule I have to wait until tomorrow to watch “United 93”. I make to a point to watch this movie around this time. We can never forget what happened on 9-11. We can also never forget WHO DID IT. Despite what dumbasses like Oblamo, Lurch Kerry, Sleepy dwarf Hagel, butt monkey Graham and my personal favorite poker playa McCrash test dummy McCain tell us. On another note Debbie. I looked over at another site before I came here to get some real info and I happened on John Hawkin’s column titled The 25 Most Influential People On The Right For 2013. This suck up has some good people on his list such as Rush Limbaugh and Ted Cruz but he also has some scabs like McCrash Test Dummy, Greg Gutlessfield, CINO Michelle Malkin and Karl Rove the pudge. Strangely he didn’t add you on his “list”. If it were me I would know that you’re more influential than half the people he listed. Especially when it comes to Islam. Keep up the good work Debbie because you’re number one in my book.

I noticed every time obama injects himself into bringing peace to the middle east,he never accomplishes very much peace at all. Obama being involved in middle east affairs has done nothing more expect to make these counties increase their level of hate towards America.Muslims in the middle east should be the ones confronting and taking care of the problems in their part of world.Millions of muslims could declare to millions of other muslims , LIKE HEY HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN Islam is suppose to be religion of peace and let them convince their fellow muslims about how islam IS A religion of peace and to use John Lennon.Muslims could pack stadiums to sing over and over, all we are saying is give peace a chance,a chance for peace-give peace a chance..

In the context of 9/11, I have 1 question – did that ‘memorial’ in Shanksville, PA go ahead w/ that Islamic Crescent of Embrace design to celebrate the hijackers even more than the people they murdered?

I apologize in advance. This post is going to sound cynical, and possibly pretentious. It’s also going to be REALLY long and slightly dry.

But there’s something you have to understand when you’re dealing with geopolitics. If you don’t know this already, you need a quick crash course in how the world works.

It isn’t about idealism, pretty much ever.

Whether it’s Assad “using chemical weapons,” the “war on terror,” the Cold War, or any other international policy based on some kind principal or ideology, the actors involved pretty much don’t care at all. They are 90% full of shit.

There is almost always some other interest at play they aren’t telling you about.

This is why framing the “War on Terror” as being about terrorism is usually a complete waste of time, as framing international conflicts this way is putting the cart before the horse.

Whether it’s the U.S. or some other country, they always act first out of self-interest, then political expediency, then diplomatic negotiation, then personal ego, then petty rivalries, and THEN (maybe) out of interest in ideologies.

The world is a very cynical place, and international actors in positions rarely do things because they “believe” in them. Realpolitik rules the day, and it has for a long time.

Skip the next part if you’re convinced of this and don’t need examples.

In the U.S., for instance, with the Cold War and the recent War on Terror, U.S. Global Hegemony COMES FIRST, and only *then* does the ideology we claim to support it come next.

Don’t believe me? Why did we spend so much time overthrowing democratically elected leaders in South America and the Middle East during the Cold War? Even ones that didn’t pretend to be Communist? And while we claimed the Soviets were trying to gain footholds near the U.S., that was rarely actually true.

It’s because we had business interests in those regions. And where the excuse of Communism didn’t work, we just classified the issue and didn’t bring it up.

And were we really fighting Communism? Then why the f**k did Nixon ally with Mao’s China? That country was far worse under Mao then Russia ever was under Stalin. Because it was never really about Communism, not primarily anyway.

And this isn’t to bag on the U.S., the Soviets were the exact same way. They didn’t give a s**t about spreading global communism, the same way we never cared about spreading “democracy.” Especially if they couldn’t control it (sound familiar?). And when they *were* influencing the spread of it in other countries, they really only did it to put a fly in our soup (petty rivalries again).

Russia still does this today. They regularly f**k with us just because they oppose (and are probably jealous of) our global hegemony.

How does this apply to today? Well, what the hell did Iraq have to do with the war on terror? Nothing, really. We had wanted to go to war with them since before Bush took office (and he claimed he was going to do it well before he was even elected in the primaries).

Why did we invade Haiti in 2004? Did you even *know* that we invaded Haiti in 2004? Not limited airstrikes by the way, I mean boots on the ground. Kind of puts the “military aid” we gave them after their big earthquake a few years ago in a different light, doesn’t it?

So how does this apply to today? Think about the Syrian situation.

We claim to care about Assad’s use of chemical weapons (almost every part of which is still disputed, not just whether he ordered it, but whether his government was involved at all). And yet, in the 80’s, we encouraged Iraq to use chemical weapons on the Iranians during their war (a million people died in that war by the way). And, of course, you’re familiar with Saddam gassing the Kurds in his own country.

This is ignoring that we’re very selective about how we define chemical weapons. While Sarin Gas is an awful, painful way to die, we used White Phosphorous all throughout the Iraq war, which is a chemical agent causing burns in excess of 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit that can’t be put out by *anything* whilst leaving buildings and infrastructure intact. That’s basically identical to most other chemical weapons in everything except name.

This is especially weird when you realize that Syria is freaking out right now and has offered to give us literally ALL of their chemical weapons in exchange for not bombing them.

So how does any of that make sense? It doesn’t, unless you see the conflict through this cynical lens I’ve presented to you.

Syria has been a thorn in the side of the U.S. for a long time, due to it being allied with Iran and Russia and because it supports Hezbollah. Since we’re (begrudgingly because of the political influence in the United States) allied with Israel, this makes it our problem as well, not the least bit of which because Israel has shown in the past (War with Lebanon in the 80’s that started the Hezbollah problem to begin with) that it basically has no rationality when it comes to dealing with enemies. So we need to protect our interests and reign in our “ally” to prevent things from getting much worse.

The only reason we’re not at war already (Libya anyone?) is because Al-Qaeda is allied with many of the different rebel factions, and this administration (Obama) is much more aware of the dangers of blowback then the previous administration was (nice job Bush, Iraq is now Iran’s closest ally, did you intend for that to happen?)

Plus, Obama idiotically drew a “red line” in terms of when we would get involved, expecting it not to be crossed. Even though any intelligent person can tell, there’s no good reason to get involved in Syria.

But now he’s embarrassed (political expediency/ego) and has to act lest he look “weak.” (as if anyone will even f*****g remember this in a couple of years, do you remember Libya?)

I forgot to mention, the reasons I mentioned above frequently are based on intelligent analysis. Nations often behave like belligerent toddlers. Power does that to people.

Does the war make more sense from that perspective? All wars do. But they can’t be sold that way, and since the days of ancient Rome, saving face and pretending to appeal to high ideals has been an important part of persuading the public and and reinforcing political ego.

It makes you *feel* good to “fight for democracy.” Even if it’s bullshit, human beings are INCREDIBLY gifted at self-deception. They believe their own lies.

______________________________

To wrap this up, aka TL;DR

In the context of Wong’s article, the United States is becoming increasing becoming an elected, oligarchic plutocracy. That is, a country where people foolish vote to protect the interests of rich assholes who believe they should rule over you, instead of being your direct representatives enforcing the will of the people.

The War on Terror (I know this is a cliche but) is war on YOU. It’s the next, new way for U.S. Imperialism to exert its authority (antithetical to Democracy) without any possible way to disagree with it.

It’s just one more way that the U.S. is sabotaging its democracy, by turning national security into an unimpeachable extension of authority.

I.E., Unelected officials will do whatever they want, because “terrorism.” And if you disagree, you either agree with terrorists or are one.

The best part? This is all classified. They don’t even have to prove or justify the use of these powers. You are a peon, beneath the contempt of security “experts” who are just trying to “protect you” (ruling class interests) from “terrorists” (anyone who fights U.S. hegemony, who may or may not be terrorists).

This is NOT the first time this has happened (war powers ran amok during World War I in far worse ways).

But this IS the first time it has been framed as being perpetual, unending and in which regular citizens are forbidden from opposing (or even KNOWING details about) it.

Hell, even Deepthroat and the guy who released the Pentagon papers weren’t treated as harshly as people like Snowden, Manning and Assange are. Even ACTUAL SPIES (sold classified information for money) got a lighter sentence than Manning, for instance. And he’s not alone. What does that tell you?

The U.S. is becoming a very fucked up place. And the people who run it, even though they believe otherwise with a West-Wing style naivete, are very fucked up, selfish, egotistic people.

They are NOT your leaders, they are servants of the Democratic-Republic. They can’t demand anything from you, but you should demand everything form them (that’s supposed to be their f*****g job).

Never allow idealism to trick you.

When it comes to geopolitics, there is almost no idealism at all.

These are not regular folks. They don’t give a s**t about you, or the world, they’re largely narcissists and borderline-sociopaths.

Read somewhere Sarah Palin posted that picture of the three Firemen raising flag like Debbie’s above in her facebook and was sued by the so called copyright owner. This copyright crap becomes annoying when used to attack political enemy.
