NOT GUILTY: George Zimmerman Acquitted; System Worked But Sadly Zimmerman Will Never Live in Peace

By Debbie Schlussel, “White Jew” & “Creepy Ass Cracker-ette”

The jury has spoken, and George Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges in the killing of Trayvon Martin. He is not guilty.

You have to give the jury credit here. They did the right thing amidst a lot of hype and factors that might have driven them to find him guilty of manslaughter in a clear case of self defense, a case that never should have been brought (and was only brought because of the shrill race merchantry of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the New Black Panther Party thugs).

The jury made the right decision despite constant obnoxious comments and behavior by Judge Debra Nelson and her consistently unfair rulings against George Zimmerman and his lawyers. They made the right decision despite never knowing who the real Trayvon Martin was because the judge wouldn’t allow it in–about his suspension from school, theft, drug use, harassment of the homeless, disgusting tweets, and other thuggery. Five of the six women on the jury were mothers and could have fallen for the prosecution’s constant attempts to portray Martin as an innocent “child” victim. And, even though they were sequestered, the jurors’ bus to the hotel was constantly exposed to hundreds of pro-conviction/pro-Trayvon Martin protesters outside the courtroom. The jurors surely must know that their lives might be in danger for being brave enough to make the right decision. And the jurors did the right thing in spite of disgusting tactics like that of the Trayvon Martin/Al Sharpton Channel a/k/a MSNBC showing and publishing photos of Trayvon Martin’s dead body, in an obvious attempt to sway the jury and affect the verdict. As I noted on Twitter yesterday (follow me on Twitter), it’s interesting that the government and the media have no problem releasing those photos while we still cannot see the Bin Laden death photos.

trayvonphotobinladentweet

George Zimmerman does not win here. He will forever be branded a racist, a bigot, and a killer by at least half the court of public opinion. He can be–and probably will be–sued in civil court by the Martin family. And this will cost him a lot of money, even if he makes money in a book deal and/or appearances. Good luck to him in getting a job. The employer who hires him will be brave, indeed, because that employer and Zimmerman will be under a state of constant harassment. That will be Zimmerman’s life for many years to come. Sadly, he will not be safe. He has a number of threats on his life from the animals of this country. So how free is he when he has to live in hiding and cannot earn a living? Sadly, those who’ve made these threats on his life are on the same side as David Horowitz and Rich Lowry, brain-addled National Review Editor (as I’ve noted on this site) and Michael Savage.

And then there is still that nuclear option that I wrote about here on Friday: the Obama administration can still prosecute Zimmerman for “violating” Trayvon Martin’s civil rights and is considering it. We know he did no such thing. But, as I’ve noted, the Justice Department used federal charges to go after the police accused of beating Rodney King and with the men who beat Vincent Chin to death, after they’d already been tried in local courts.

We’ll see. Stay tuned.

But for now, at least we can say the jury system worked.

If Barack Obama had a son that looked like Trayvon Martin, the man who defended himself against Barack III’s violence would be acquitted as he was today.

Uh, oh, Debbie’s REALLY going to piss off some people now, mainly the FemiNazis. She just changed her description from “White Jew, Creepy Ass Cracker,” to “White Jew, Creepy Ass Cracker-ette.” Oops, gender neutral now, gender neutral. You know, how Jennifer Lowlife-Pez and Eva Not So Long-oria on Brains are referred to as actors, instead of actresses?

I am a moderate and proud of it on many issues. I tend to look at complex issues in a more nuanced way and I do like intellectual discussion ;be it on ethics or philosophy. If that makes me a troll in your eyes , then so be it.

this case is a window to the soul.
Race baiters on the left were ready to convict this man on day one and used past injustices real or imagined as justification.
But people like you claim that the other side are using race but then literally make black and white arguments to defend their positions.

please answer me this. Why is Trayvon martin just a “thug” and not a young man that that was caught in an unfortunate series of events , but George Zimmerman is a bastion of virtue and defender of all that is right in the world?

http://rollingout.com/culture/george-zimmerman-son-of-a-retired-judge-has-3-closed-arrests/

The Link above highlights that Zimmerman, a son of a retired judge , has three closed arrests on his record. You do not think that was a big deal in judging George’s demeanor or what type of man that he was. But Trayvons tweets and his appearance mean that he is Gangsta!!
Anser that honestly please.. I am curious on how you mitigate the above fact.

I have said that the jury came back with the right decision and that Zimmerman should be allowed to live a normal life. I believe in democracy and He got his day in court and the facts led to this decision. does not mean that it is not tragic

But the extreme views in this polarized case are amazing at the same time tragic. Many events do take a jaundiced eye and in academic circles that is encouraged
I have my own moral compass and I can sleep at night and look at myself in the mirror. If you can do the same with your views ,that frankly scare me, more power to you.

I agree with you on your points. it would appear Zimmerman has been freed after using his gun in an act of veagance against an unarmed person ( disregard age, race etc ) . He was struck by the person,we know that, but did he have to shoot and kill him? .He is obviously of a bigger stature than the deceased so was it fear that drove him to draw his weapon and use it? I think so. Just as we hear constantly of Police officers using tazers, not as defence but as means of meteing out punishment ,Zimmerman didn’t use a tazer he used his pistol.
I hope he spends the rest of his life waking up screaming as the memory of taking a life haunts him to his grave.
My veiw is that Debbie is defending Zimmerman because he is decended from Jws and the deceased was black. Silly in the extreme. For some people ,such as myself,it is the deitys right to take vagence, not ours and now someone is walking free after taking the will of the almighty into their own hands.

George Zimmerman was of NO comparable or competitive physical stature with Trayvon Martin. Martin was 17, 6’2″, 180 and a high school football player. George Zimmerman is about 5’7″ to 5’9″ max and an unathletic fat fuck. Now, don’t get me wrong, there is nothing inherently morally deficient about being an unathletic fat fuck. And there ARE fat fucks, like certain powerlifters, Olympic weightlifters, shotputters, wrestlers, etal, who can also possess remarkable quickness and athletic skill, despite whatever excess girth and adiposity they may possess.

But George “Is he is or is he isn’t Jewish” Zimmerman was NO physical match for Trayvon Martin, which is why he was getting his pudgy ass handed to him. This is a terribly unfortunate case of two terribly wrongheaded people. We cannot totally do away with these things in society until Jesus returns. In a world such as we have, terrible and ruled by Satan, things like this will happen.

Satan is WHY they happen, just as the election of The Community Organizer In Chief happened because of The Devil. Until Jesus comes, Satan AND The Teleprompter In Chief will continue to divide and conquer.

The judge should be brought up on charges of judicial misconduct for blatantly disregarding the law and case law precedent when she overtly ruled time and time again against the defense on a number of motions. Six women sat on that jury and did the right thing. I was afraid that they would cave to the immense pressure. I’m glad I was wrong.

I believe Debbie wrote about something like would happen if Zimmerman was cleared of all charges.. Justice Dept.: Zimmerman case under review..WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department said Sunday it is looking into the shooting death of Trayvon Martin to determine whether federal prosecutors will file criminal civil rights charges now that George Zimmerman has been acquitted in the state case.

The department opened an investigation into Martin’s death last year but stepped aside to allow the state prosecution to proceed.

In a statement, the Justice Department said the criminal section of its civil rights division, the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Middle District of Florida are continuing to evaluate the evidence generated during the federal probe, in addition to the evidence and testimony from the state trial.

‘‘Experienced federal prosecutors will determine whether the evidence reveals a prosecutable violation of any of the limited federal criminal civil rights statutes within our jurisdiction,’’ the statement said. Justice added that it will determine ‘‘whether federal prosecution is appropriate in accordance with the department’s policy governing successive federal prosecution following a state trial.’’

From the Rodney King case in Los Angeles to the Algiers Motel incident in Detroit more than four decades ago, the Justice Department has a long history of using federal civil rights law in an effort to convict defendants who have previously been acquitted in related state cases.

On Sunday, NAACP President Benjamin Todd Jealous started a petition calling for the Justice Department to open a civil rights case against Zimmerman for the shooting death of 17-year-old Martin, but experience has shown it’s almost never easy getting convictions in such high-profile prosecutions.

‘‘The Justice Department would face significant challenges in bringing a federal civil rights case against Mr. Zimmerman,’’ said Alan Vinegrad, the former U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York. ‘‘There are several factual and legal hurdles that federal prosecutors would have to overcome: They’d have to show not only that the attack was unjustified, but that Mr. Zimmerman attacked Mr. Martin because of his race and because he was using a public facility, the street.’’

As to the last element, the confrontation between Zimmerman and the shooting victim occurred in a gated community, which may not fit the legal definition of a public facility.

Lauren Resnick, a former federal prosecutor in New York who successfully tried a man in the killing of an Orthodox Jew during the 1991 Crown Heights riots in Brooklyn, said the Justice Department could conceivably proceed under a theory that Zimmerman interfered with Martin’s right to walk down a public street based on his race or religion. But that would be challenging, she said, because it would require prosecutors to prove, among other things, that trailing Martin on the street constituted interference.

‘‘One could argue it did, if it freaked him out and he couldn’t comfortably walk down the street — there’s an argument here,’’ said Resnick, who is now in private practice.

But she said federal prosecutors were likely to encounter the same hurdles as state prosecutors in establishing that Zimmerman was driven by racial animus and was the initial aggressor, as opposed to someone who acted in self-defense.

‘‘When you have a fact pattern where one person’s alive, and one person’s not, and the person alive is the defendant, it’s hard to prove things beyond a reasonable doubt,’’ said Resnick.

Obama & Holder are not done with Zimmerman yet, that they are going try to file federal charges and make Zimmermans life a living hell.. Debbie was spot on wehn she said ,it would be likely Team Obama could be pushing the Zimmerman case to include federal charges. Obama & Holder intend to make an example out of Zimmerman this being Obama makes and selects whom to next punish with his self imposed laws.

Steve on July 14, 2013 at 5:54 pm

Ironic isn’t it? The Justice Department is thinking of bringing charges against Zimmerman.

They are ignoring all the numerous threats against him. What they should be doing is protecting him, and taking action against those who are threatening him. But 1984 is here, so this is what we are getting.

Little Al on July 14, 2013 at 7:09 pm

That would be criminal if that ends up happening.
Grounds for impeachment.such an overreach and abuse of power would hurt this country greatly.

I do not think they ultimately will…at least I would be shocked

sanjay on July 14, 2013 at 7:46 pm

Again, the intent of what Obama & Co. seek to do in this case is this: To turn back the clock and bully/frighten ordinary citizens in certain neighborhoods back to the old apathetic, “we don’t want to get involved” stance that, as I’ve noted many times before, as much sealed Kitty Genovese’s doom in NYC in 1964 as what her assailant Winston Moseley had done to her. And B.T.W., it was the fallout from that case (and the perceived neighborhood indifference to her plight at the time she was being viciously attacked) that led to the creation of the whole “neighborhood watch” system that is now under attack and under siege from those forces now running interference for the “inner city” equivalent of the barbarians of ancient Roman times. Again, the Democrats have clearly reverted back (with a vengeance and on steroids) to their old “soft on crime” ways.

I seem to have read that there were full-scale riots (with looting, property damage, etc.) in Oakland over the Zimmerman verdict – and a few of the culprits had ties to the whole “Occupy” movement (but then again, “Occupy” likewise is pro-criminal and pro-gang, and seek to get not only the police out of the way but also ordinary citizens).

Update…Obama calls for calm after Zimmerman acquittal in Martin case.President Barack Obama called for calm on Sunday after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of teenager Trayvon Martin, as hundreds of civil rights demonstrators turned out at rallies to condemn racial profiling.

Zimmerman, cleared late Saturday by a Florida jury of six women in the shooting death of the unarmed Martin, still faces public outrage, a possible civil suit and demands for a federal investigation. In Washington, the U.S. Justice Department said it was evaluating whether it has enough evidence to support prosecution of Zimmerman in federal court after his acquittal in Florida.

Civil rights activists have been pressuring the Obama administration to bring civil rights charges in federal court.

Critics contend Zimmerman wrongly suspected 17-year-old Martin of being a criminal because he was black, making it a civil rights issue. At a rally in New York’s Union Square, more than 200 protesters turned out Sunday, chanting “No justice, no peace.” Some held signs calling for “Justice for Trayvon, Jail for Zimmerman.”

Similar rallies were held or expected to start later in other cities including Boston, San Francisco, San Diego and Sacramento.

Obama, who once said, “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” called for a peaceful response to a case that polarized the U.S. public from the beginning, raising issues of racial profiling and gun control.Further into story…Civil rights leaders including Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Benjamin Jealous, president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), urged the Justice Department to pursue federal civil rights charges against Zimmerman.

Jealous said Martin’s family may bring a civil suit against Zimmerman but said federal criminal charges should be filed because evidence suggests race was a factor in the case.

A Justice Department spokesperson said in a statement on Sunday it would determine whether “the evidence reveals a prosecutable violation of any of the limited federal criminal civil rights statutes within our jurisdiction.”

So what is Chicago doing… forget the senseless murders in their own city. Some chanted “Justice for Trayvon” Martin. A few wore hoodies in his memory. Others carried signs, including one picturing Martin and Emmett Till, whose brutal murder helped ignite the civil rights movement.

They were among a racially diverse group of several hundred people who marched along the streets of downtown Chicago Sunday to protest neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman’s acquittal by a Florida jury of all charges in the shooting death of Martin — a protest that drew one of Till’s cousins.http://www.suntimes.com/21322301-761/sunday-rally-march-in-chicago-to-protest-acquittal-in-trayvon-martin-case.html..It’s like Chicago is numb to their very own city with murders, shootings, etc, etc, etc…No they look to Florida to have something meaningful to protest about.

The actions and statements of some people that came as a result of the Zimmerman trial and verdict says a lot about their character we might not have known. A lot of people are showing the world exactly how stupid they are on blogs like this and on Face book and Twitter. The “logic” they are using is flawed beyond belief. Some are making comparisons between Michael Vick’s killing of dogs and his jail time, and of things like the murder of Medgar Evers, civil rights activist, with the Travon Martin shooting. And, they are using all the liberal tactics of shouting people down, attempted intimidation, and the race card. OH,and, don’t forget all the death threats and racism. That is supposed to be OK because it is done by blacks or on the behalf of blacks.

As a gun owner, I am proud and relieved that common sense and justice still exists in the courts system

The System Worked? QUACK! This was manslaughter all the way. Laaaaame Verdict. It happens, but no way was justice served. NO WAY!

I tend to side with Sanjay’s “moderate” views on this case. I do not think it is as simple as Trayvon was a “little angel” and that he had no involvement in this at all, but at the same time he did not have a gun and aim and/or shoot at George, it was big overkill, and perhaps a manslaughter charge would’ve been a fair compromise between “getting away with murder” and a full 2nd degree murder charge.

As for “He will forever be branded a racist, a bigot, and a killer by at least half the court of public opinion. He can be–and probably will be–sued in civil court by the Martin family.”, well maybe he should’ve thought before going straight to a gun, and wasn’t OJ sued in civil court too after acquittal?

And while automatic accusations the Zimmerman was a racist may be “over the top”, there’s a big difference between simply saying you thought the jury was fair and saying, “people should be thankful” or “Trayvon got what he deserved”. Virtually no one outside of perhaps Hitler, Stalin, or Bin Laden deserves to be murdered and those comments are far more “over the top” than simply calling someone a racist.
