Marc Rich, Rot in Hell
No tears from me over the death of Marc Rich, yesterday, at age 78. My only tears are over the fact that he will be buried in Israel, a place that should reject his dead body, just as Israeli charities should have rejected his blood money (but didn’t). The man was a JINO–Jew In Name Only–if there ever was one. The man was an embarrassment to America and an embarrassment to my religion.

If you can’t remember the name, Marc Rich, think of Bill Clinton giving pardons to criminals who sold out America . . . in exchange for campaign cash. Marc Rich and his ex-wife, Denise, were Exhibit A. Rich sold oil to Ayatollah Khomeini’s Iran when our American hostages were being held in captivity and tortured. He violated the embargo against the sale and was charged with tax evasion for it. He fled to Switzerland to avoid justice, and then farmed out Denise (size Double D breasts) to have twice a week, um, “sessions” with Bill Clinton and give Clinton mega-bucks in campaign contributions, which ultimately paid off in a Clinton pardon of Rich. Then-Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder was deeply involved and was the one who recommended this outrageous pardon.
Even aside from his illegal trade with Iran, Marc Rich made a career of trading with and enabling America’s worst enemies, Marxist-Communists and Muslim extremists. Marc Rich was an evil, venal man who sold out his country and his people and got away with it on earth. But he won’t get away with it in the afterlife. Here’s more from today’s Wall Street Journal obituary:
Marc Rich was a brash international commodities trader whose trading of oil with the revolutionary government of Iran while it held U.S. hostages in 1980 led U.S. authorities to charge him with tax evasion and trading with the enemy.
His company, Marc Rich & Co., now part of Glencore Xstrata PLC, eventually paid more than $200 million in a settlement. But the charges against Mr. Rich, who had fled to Switzerland, remained until he was pardoned in January 2001 by Bill Clinton in the final hours of his presidency.
His ex-wife, Denise Rich, a Democratic Party fundraiser, denied at the time that her donations of more than $1 million to Democrats between 1993 and 2001 were linked to the pardon. Mr. Clinton later said a trusted former aide convinced him that the pardon was the right thing to do. A spokesman for Mr. Clinton didn’t respond to an emailed request Wednesday for a comment.
Mr. Rich, who died Wednesday in Switzerland at age 78, helped pioneer the spot-oil market during the 1970s, when the OPEC oil boycott threatened to bring Western economies to their knees. His long business career included bartering gas for sugar in the early days of post-Soviet Russia, representing the Marxist Algerian regime in its oil sales to Exxon, and helping Malaysia stockpile tin to drive up prices.
Mr. Rich remained in Switzerland after the pardon, and died Wednesday in a hospital in Lucerne as the result of a stroke. He will be buried in Israel.
Although Marc Rich will undeservedly get buried on Israeli soil, he’ll get his. I hope he packed light, ‘cuz where he’s headed, it’s quite hot.
If I had to guess, Hillary Clinton is probably the biggest mourner for this cretin, since she just lost a huge contributor to her impending second run for Prez. So sad, too bad.

Well, Hillary might not feel too bad because Denise will certainly help her in various ways, perhaps the same ways she helped Bill.
But one of the things I appreciate about this blog is that you tell the truth about deceased persons, rather than glorifying them and ignoring all the bad things they have done. Howard Zinn comes to mind, for instance.
