Tamerlane Tsarnaev’s widow is NOT that smart! She’s hired a lawyer who keeps losing his cases.

If this winds up before a federal jury, I would not bet on her being acquitted. She’s at the very least a material witness if not a co-conspirator in her late husband’s Islamic terrorist activities.

There’s a great deal more to what she’s not telling. If she was innocent, she would want to clear her name. And not cooperating with the Feds is a sure sign she has much to hide.

Never say a word to the cops without a lawyer if you are a suspect, guilty or NOT. Remember, anything you say can and WILL be used against you in a court of law, end of story.
I’m sure she had a clue to at the least of what conspired, but keeping a shut mouth is smart on her part.
Though sooner or later the beans will spill, if she’s a true muslim. They just have too much pride to keep it all within themselves. Anyone else notice that if you push enough buttons (like I have with some of the trolls visiting this site) they just can’t hold it in any more?

Here is the problem with the case. The FBI waited all too long to search her house, question her friends, do forensics, etc. This should have been done the minute her hubby’s name came into play.

I am sure they waited.

I do not care about her “keeping quiet.” As a defense counsel, I always advised the clients to not speak to the police, as most police were incompetent, lie, or both. In fact, as a defendant, you speak to no one who can be called to testify against you. (Admissions to a 3rd party are an exception to the hearsay rule).

Having said that, I strongly doubt that she was not involved in his schemes. After all, she was dumb enough to convert to Islam for a guy that used to beat her. Also, if her silence aided in the killing of the police officer, she is definitely scum (like she wasn’t already!)

The problem I think is that due to recent developments in her life poor Katherine is under a lot of stress. She should be taken to a nice quiet secluded area where she can gather her thoughts. Some nice relaxing but exhilarating exercise might do her good. Perhaps introducing her to that sport involving water and boarding would loosen those lips nicely?
