I’ve heard Daniel Pipes say that where you sit is where you stand in Washington but I don’t think they’re playing by those rules. There’s a reason Egypt got Morsi, F16s and tanks. I don’t think their policy is really part of their strategy.

F: Daniel Pipes is a fraud who says that Islam is not a problem, just the fictional “Islamism.” Pipes said that Islamic terrorism against Israelis is not a big deal b/c more Israelis are killed in car accidents. He also repeatedly promoted Mohammed Zuhdi Jasser, an anti-Israel extremist Muslim who pretends to be a moderate. And he said we should blindly vote straight Republican, even though there are plenty of times when the Republican is the Islam supporter, who should be defeated, and I’ve provided several examples of that on this site. All of that’s aside from some of my work he (Pipes) stole word for word on Imad Hamad, for which he refused to give me credit. He ain’t the one you should be quoting on anything, especially on these important matters. DS

I just mentioned him because he’s a respected analyst.
If Anthony Weiner had something interesting to say I’d quote him too.

But I do agree with him that sometimes you have make a strategic decision to support an overall ally instead of an overall foe.

Debbie not all is lost. Kerry himself is half Jewish (Yiddishe paternal grandparents) and his brother converted to Judaism. As for his son-in-law the guy is a surgeon so there’s a good chance the marriage is already crumbling. BTW Debbie I would like to move into your apartment building as it sounds very communal and caring. Do you have a room to rent to a nice, cultured Jewish man? I take my eggs sunny side up.

Mainly because he probably sees Al Qaeda and radical Islam as the modern day equivalent of the Viet Cong.

Vanessa marries a Muslim, and Chelsea marries the son of a crook family. Children know that their parents’ actions speak louder than words. All the Sec. State blather about honesty and decent values is shown for the sham that it is when we see the actions of their children, and their choice of spouses. Of all the decent men that these elite children have access to, this is whom they marry. Shows something about the values they were brought up with.

And Vanessa’s photo prolongs an unfortunate trend of featuring photos of such as Martha Stewart and Keren Alpert. I’m going to have to start carrying a piece of cardboard to cover up some of these hideous pictures when I read the posts. But it is balanced by the Bad Idea tee-shirts.

Senator Lurch Kerry has always rubbed me the wrong way. I had the pleasure(not) of going to Boston during the 04 presidential election. My friends and I decided to go look around the MIT campus. Needless to say the young skulls full of mush were all hyped about Lurch while having signs saying that Bush was Hitler, buring him in effigy, the usual crap that happened during his terms in office. It was a sad site to behold. Kerry was a disgrace while in the Navy, while married to wifey number one(too bad so sad for him that wifey number two is bat shi’ite crazy.)He was an absolute disgrace as a senaturd and now look. His traveling joke circus has now pitched its tent(he picked the color)at Foggy Bottom. Thank God that this egomaniacal windbag never became president. One the flip side of that he probably could’ve done any worst than the complete buffoon we have now.
