Kendra Spears: Lesser Supermodel Converts to Islam to Marry (Fake) Prince

Hey, it’s another Western skank converting to Islam for a man, a la Katherine/Karima Russell Tsarnaeva. As I always say, women like this always gotta put the vagina first, instead of what’s right. This time, she’s a gold-digger to boot a la Islamic convert Janet Jackson, obviously the only other reason she’s doing this. “Supermodel” (and I use the term loosely since this chick is more like a lesser known model than a “supermodel”) Kendra Spears is converting to Islam to marry Prince Rahim Aga Khan, a fake prince without a country. The Khans have a history of getting Westerners to convert to Islam for them, such as Khan’s grandfather who got actress Rita Hayworth to reportedly convert to Islam to marry him.

Runway model Kendra Spears will become a princess when she marries Prince Rahim Aga Khan of the Shia Ismaili Muslims. The engagement was announced last week by the Aga Khan, the spiritual leader or Imam of the global community of the Shi’a Ismaili Muslims. He currently lives in France, according to Us Weekly. The Shi’a Ismaili Muslims number nearly 15 million, according to the Daily Beast. The Aga Khan is the 49th hereditary Imam and is regarded as a direct descendent [DS: sic} of the prophet Mohamed.

The announcement reveals that the pair will be married in a Muslim ceremony and that the date has not yet been set. The Aga Khan said he was “delighted” to announce the engagement. A spokesperson for the Aga Khan said that Spears would convert to Islam. “That is the assumption,” the spokesperson said. “If it is a Muslim marriage, it’s understood that [Spears] would be converting to Islam.”

Kendra Spears, 24, seemed delighted with the engagement as well. . . . Spears has appeared in magazines, including on the covers of French Elle, Chinese Vogue, and Dazed & Confused. She’s worked in campaigns for Prada, Diane von Furstenberg, Calvin Klein and Emporio Armani and is signed to the agency NEXT models in New York. Spears was discovered via a MySpace contest in 2008 and was a finalist in the Supermodel of the World competition, according to Zap2It.

Prince Rahim Aga Kahn, 41, is involved in “poverty reduction efforts, notably micro-credit activities” throughout the Aga Khan Development Network. He is worth an estimated $800 million.

Um, it’s always interesting that the Muslims worth gazillions (because they stole it from their own impoverished peoples or “earned” it at their expense) are into “poverty reduction efforts.”

The marriage will make Spears an official princess, but one without a country. “You could describe them as prince and princesses but they don’t have a kingdom so in that sense they are not royalty,” the spokesperson said. “[The Aga Khan] is a prince in the sense that he originally comes from a family that was part of the Iranian royal dynasty…he has the title ‘His Highness’ which was awarded to him by Queen Elizabeth in the fifties upon coming to the U.K.

Hilarious. And for this model converting to Islam, she’s hearing just one sound: cha-ching. Er . . . halal cha-ching.

I was trying to remember where I heard Aga Khan before (when I saw this in the Brit papers earlier in the week) and it was indeed Rita Hayworth. She was gorgeous.

Also, since this “Prince” has no country I was trying to figure out where he was from. Shi’ite made me think of Iran and this column confirmed it. He must be on the outs with the Mullahs running that Islamic hell-hole. Was he related to the Shah? Anyone who knows any of this stuff please do tell.

I see he is marrying almost half his age. Must be intimated by females of his own age range. Ain’t no dope like a young and dopey dope. I never heard of her before this story. She looks like all the way too skinny models (who eat Kleenex to stay full…how healthy! Goes down smoooooothly!) with the same aesthetic. No interest.

I remember back in college there were a couple of guys from Qatar who claimed to be princes. They were falling all over themselves to get to all of the lovely fair-skinned blondes on our campus. We just regarded them as slimy camel jockeys (sorry if that offends anyone’s politically correct sensibilities). This was during the 70’s and we didn’t care about PC yet. Actually, Rita Hayworth never converted to Islam and divorced Agha Khan after about four years of marriage, including separation. She refused Khan’s ofer of $1,000.000.00, a huge amount of money in 1953, to raise their daughter Muslim, instead raising her .

It is so easy for people to Lump Muslims into one basket its not even funny. I grew up in Saudi Arabia as a Christian and got to see first hand how women were oppressed and treated so please don’t try and educate me. All you probably know about the topic of Islam is what you read or watched on TV. Do I need a blog to be correct? It’s sad to see what this world has come to by judging people without understanding or knowing who they are and what they stand for. Is it Ignorance or denial? I never said this was a discussion about the root of Islam in the first place just asking people to find out more about what Ismaelis stand for and not just lump all Muslims into one bucket. So lets play this game…. Priests are supposed to carry out the work of god right? well how many priests in the catholic church have been found out to be child molesters? Does this mean all Catholics are child molesters? Absolutely not, its just shows that in every religion there are bad apples and the bad apples usually are the ones that make the most noise…. I dont disagree with you on that one, I know what I am going to find on Mohammad.
All I’m saying is not all Muslims or sects of Islam are the same. The Koran like every religion can be interpreted in different ways, trust me I saw first hand how it can be twisted to the advantage of a group. I grew up in Saudi Arabia and as a Christian was constantly harassed by the religious police because of my religion, I also saw how they took advantage ok the Koran to oppress women and treat them like crap. I also got to know Ismaili Muslims and cannot tell you how different they are than your average Muslim. For example in Christianity you have some extremely strict sects and some extremely relaxed ones, I would compare Ismailis to the more relaxed ones. If people bothered to find out instead of jumping to conclusions I think it would benefit everyone.

The relevant issue is whether extant Muslim variation is important for us infidels. It’s not. You have not identified any authoritative Ismaili texts that make this sect any less monstrous than typical Shia Islam or Sunni Islam. I don’t care about Ali/Hidden Imam. I just care that I am considered subhuman.

Even if Aga had a benign Islam (which would be a totally different ideology), he would be irrelevant because almost no Moooslims believe in it.

Further, Aga is a prime a-hole, as Debbie has pointed out here. Most recently, the outrageous Ground Zero Mosque is his gift to us.

I think the young greedy superficial model has no real grasp of what the Muslim conversion will entail and the impact upon her daily life afterwards. Her “prince” would have no illusions or concerns over her naivety and basely driven desires.They would be irrelevant to him knowing she will soon be given the disciplined constraints of the proper life for a Muslim wife as well as the positives of their religion’s teachings. Firstly, it would be presumed as a woman she will have to do as she is told. Secondly, the teachings opening her eyes to the reasons and values of her new faith that will be an enriched blessing for her. From a fairly moderate traditional Muslim view point There is nothing untoward in the getting a younger cute wife amongst the option of others where a greedy brat who is over exposed gets put into some degree of moral order or any children she’d ever have. We don’t need to talk about some fanciful interpretation of the Koran though because if we want an objective idea of how Islam impacts society we need only talk about Sharia.
Islam and Sharia are inseparable because it is the divine law of the prophet.

I find the entire article amusing! Descendant of Mohamed? Agha Khan and a shia? Many usurpers for sure! Wonder what family is he from? Agha Khan is a very common description of a person who is (sir, or old) and a tribal leader. He has no country, just money! Wonder if he has more to offer than money into this marriage. BTW, he is far from religion!. She will make a good belly dancer after gaining a few pounds. If she is good, she can role quarters on her belly.

We know that beautiful airheads marry for money every day.

There must be something deficient in how a lot of women are raised, they marry for money, not for intelligence, character, qualities that would make a man a good husband and father, etc.

This is why I can’t treat Islam as a religion and put up with people comparing and contrasting it to real religions. It ends up being an apples to oranges exercise. It’s more accurate, it seems to me, to compare Islam to other political and judicial systems.

Similar to other totalitarianism–like Nazism–Islam is more of a totalitarian political tribal ideology, rooted in racism, that uses poorly cobbled together, second- third- fourth-hand, and so on, fireside stories and myths and a female moon god to try to bolster its justification for brutality over absolutely everyone and everything on earth.

Islam is all about the carnal, worldly pursuits of world domination, and not about spirituality.

As someone who has relatives scattered in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, let me say something about the Ismailis. The Ismailis collect a percetange of their yearly income and give the money/income to the Agha Khan. This is the Agha Khan’s income. Since this is not hard earned money, all they do is party, womanize and spend time in casinos in Monaco. Since this is easy money, they waste it on high priced divorces and alimonies. The founder of the Ismaili cult was regarded as an impostor and not recognized as legitimate religion by mainstream Islam for this very reason. The claim fo be part of Iranian royal dynasty….is also suspect. The original Agha Khan claimed that his ancestor came to the Indian subcontinent with the army of Nader Shah AFsar who then ruled Iran and invaded India. But alas…Nader Shah was of Turkish descent. Even in the early days, the founder decided that only Europe (france) is ideal place as an abot for him. Thousands of miles away from the meandering lives of his deciples. How wonderful. He and his litter can enjoy the best life can offer from money collected from poor Ismailis who mostly live in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Every year the leader would pay symbolic visits to India or Pakistan for a well orchestrated media event to show that he is involded in poverty reduction projects. How about giving back every dime that the poor people sent you and also the millions of dollars you wasted on alimony to assorted western women? This is a joke and sadly a bunch of 15 million Ismailis ignorantly sustain the luxury lifestyle of a shameless con artist and his descendants.

I forgot to add….the leader of Agha Khan cult was among the first people who financed and supported the formation of Pakistan as a seperate nation for Muslims of British ruled India. Yeah…the same Pakistan where the Ismailis are being hounded like dogs today. Karma is a bitch……………

TM is right. Ismailis are very different than either sunk or twelvefold Shia. One thing that you ought to care about is that the Druze, some of Israel’s best soldiers, are Ismaili. Ismaili were the dominant form of Islam during the Fatimid caliphate, the islamic golden age. They also believe in adapting to modern times.

Ismali’s aren’t a bad group of people. It’s funny how people when about intermarriage but the Jewish lady who wrote the article should be concerned about all the Jewish who marry Christian women every year and have the convert or at least ensure that the kids are raised Jewish. If you look at Hollywood you will see a lot of ugly Jewish guys marrying beautiful younger non Jewish women. Women trade beauty and youth for money. The have a right to do so. If this not so super model doesn’t like the marriage they can divorce. The present Aga Khan has been married a few times. Unfortunately she will have to stay a Muslim like Imran Khan’s beautiful ex-wife.

In Islam, if you want to get married both the husband and wife-to be have to be muslim. If one is not, yes, you would have to convert in order to get married, but the choice is that individuals…and if they dont want to…then dont get into that relationship. It’s your choice

I am happy for our beloved prince. I am a Shia Ismaili and used to teach theology. I could say that religion is nothing more than an afterlife protection. In the end, all religions are the same, we all follow the same deity and the same tenants of faith. His choice for a wife, and choosing to be married to a girl of his own religion wasn’t him forcing her to convert. It seems it was more of her choice, since she is free to do as she pleases. Judging Muslims all in the same league is utter ignorance. However, people are free to judge as they want. So no one can argue with you about your opinions. It is after all, your opinion. But one clarification, our Imam, the Aga Khan, is royal to us over 30 million Ismailis. We hold him as our royalty which he holds the throne to our religion. He doesn’t need a physical kingdom to be regarded as royalty. He is not what you opined him to be; he is a Harvard educated kind hearted humanitarian, who has helped the world more than any other single entity or organization. His developmental network is out of this world. And he deserves some respect from people who lack knowledge of his undertakings. Thank you.
