OUTRAGE: France Frees Lebanese Palestinian Terrorist Who Murdered US Lt Col, Israeli Diplomat; Tried to Kill US Diplomat

By Debbie Schlussel

Yesterday, French courts freed Georges Ibrahim Abdallah a/k/a George Abdallah a/k/a Salih al-Masri a/k/a Abdu-Qadir Saadi, a Lebanese Arab terrorist who murdered an American attache at the U.S. Embassy in Paris and an Israeli diplomat in Paris in the early 1980s on behalf of the Palestinians. At the time, Abdallah also tried to murder an American diplomat in France.

Arab Terrorist Georges Abdallah Murdered Lt. Col. Charles R. Ray & Yaacov Bar-Siman-Tov . . .

charlesrrayyaacovbarsimantov

In 1982, Abdallah murdered Lt. Col. Charles R. Ray, who was the assistant U.S. military attache at the U.S. Embassy in Paris, and Yaacov Bar-Siman-Tov, an Israeli diplomat also in Paris. Bar-Siman-Tov was shot in the head three times in front of his wife and children at the entrance to his apartment. Abdallah also tried to murder Robert O. Homme, the American consul in Strasbourg, France. He was captured in 1984 and, in 1987, convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the murders. But, unfortunately, a Paris Court granted this monster parole in November 2011. And, now, it appears that he’s beaten all of the appeals, thanks to the French determination to set this animal free.

While the U.S. Ambassador to France is denouncing this, Barack Obama’s voice is nowhere to be heard (just as George W. Bush’s voice was silent when Germany released one of the Hezbollah hijacker/murderers of Robert Dean Stethem in 2005):

“I am disappointed by the decision today,” US Ambassador to France Charles Rivkin said in a statement.

“Life imprisonment was the appropriate sentence for Mr Abdallah’s serious crimes, and there is legitimate concern that Mr. Abdallah would continue to represent a danger to the international community if he were allowed to go free.

“I am hopeful that French authorities will appeal today’s decision and that it will be overturned,” the ambassador said.

Sadly, there is probably no hope of that, and Ambassador Rivkin likely knows this. Abdallah is expected to be released and deported from France on Monday. He will probably return to Lebanon and go back to his old terrorist ways. Abdallah was a terrorist in one of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) offshoots, the PFLP-SOC, and then joined the Lebanese Armed Revolutionary Factions (LARF), which he led in France.

Abdallah’s murder of Lt. Col Ray made his wife a widow and left his two young children–a son and a daughter–fatherless.

From coverage of Abdallah’s 1987 trial and the widowed Sharon Ray’s testimony:

Abdallah, 35, who left the trial Monday after denouncing what he called, “Yankee criminals” in an opening statement, did not attend Tuesday’s session. In a written statement, signed “Arab fighter,” he told the court there was “no reason that I appear.” . . . All three attacks were claimed by the extreme leftist Lebanese Armed Revolutionary Faction. Police and terrorism experts say Abdallah is the leader of that organization. . . .

Ray frequently halted her testimony to fight back tears. She left the courtroom earlier Tuesday when the pistol that prosecutors say was used to kill her husband was shown to the judges. Police found the pistol among other arms when they raided a Paris apartment rented by Abdallah.

As a civil plaintiff in the Abdallah case, Ray is not required to be a witness, but after composing herself she said she wanted to make a statement. Georges Kiejman, the attorney for the U.S. government and Ray, said he decided to call her to the witness stand because the court had only heard political slogans and technical details and had not considered the effect on individuals` lives.

Ray was critical of the police investigation of her husband`s death. She said he had befriended a priest who helped young Lebanese fleeing their country. At a birthday party in November, 1981, for the priest, her husband was introduced, along with his rank and function at the embassy, by the priest to some of these men.

Ray said she told French investigators about it shortly after her husband`s death.

Later the priest told her the police only asked him what kind of man her husband was.

It’s important to note that while Abdallah’s release is being celebrated by Hezbollah’s Al-Manar, Abdallah was not a Muslim at the time of the attacks, even though he has been a cause celebre for Hezbollah for years. He was a Maronite Catholic Christian (and a Marxist/Communist), as several others in the PFLP and their offshoots were. Not all Arab terrorists against America and Israel are Muslims, as I’ve pointed out before. Some of them are Christian (although the majority are Muslim). Later on, Abdallah reportedly converted to Islam while in prison.

Abdallah’s French lawyer says that his client wants to return to Lebanon to become a teacher. Uh-huh. A teacher of fellow Islamic terrorists. And we don’t need more of those on the street.

Georges Abdallah should have spent his life–his ENTIRE life–rotting in a French prison. His American and Israeli victims never got to breathe free another day after he murdered them. He should face at least the same fate.

Sadly, that’s not the world in which we live today. Terrorist murderers of innocents are freed and celebrated by Muslims and the West alike. And those who do the right thing are denounced as intolerant.

Up is down, left is right. And Georges Abdallah goes free. Disgusting.

The ghosts of Lt. Col. Charles R. Ray and Yaakov Bar-Siman-Tov are crying out. Why don’t the government and courts of France heed their cries?

Debbie, I’m glad U feel Outraged & hope U are not Surprised. The French are The most Active Political Prostitutes this side of the Atlantic…recall Scherburg Boats Episode, where the “Glorious” General de Gaul had a written contract to supply Israeli Navy with Fast Commando Boats…back in 1966?
As the Six Day War broke out, Israel was Attacked by 4 Arab Armies…including Iraq…the General imposed an immediate Ambargo on anything but including those – ready to be delivered Scherburg Boats, …thanks to Israelis, thinking out of the Box, those Boat left Harbor in the dark of night and arrived in Haifa – Israel, 2 5 days later. So much for the “Famous” French General who hide his balls in London for the duration of W.W.Ii….the Only good item ever to come out of France was the Citroen D.S. model car…and it too, was designed and manufactured by Henri Citroen….A Jew !!! Be Patient Debbie…the French are on the right path to become an Islamic Rpublic…I don’t wish to smell the Parfumes coming from France, Once t
Islam takes Over…but I can guess it’s Name. Nice week end to you.

I have known a few decent French men. However, France as a nation has ALWAYS been a POS—their help for us during the revolution was due to power politics; Euro style (except for Lafayette—again, some decent individuals, but swine as a group).

De Gaulle was an asshole who had a greatly inflated sense of himself. Without him, we would STILL have won WWII without significant problems. Arrogance to accomplishment ratio highest of any major leader of the 20th century.

When we beat Islam and drive it out France as we will during the last portion of this Century during the American reconquista to come, we need to make sure France does NOT get to reconstitute itself. (And that, folks, is a major prediction that you will first read here)

“again, some decent individuals, but swine as a group)”

I’d go even further: I’d argue that the typical French person is actually kind and helpful. But yes, put them together and something awful happens. I don’t understand it.

There are also more individual jerks in France than in most western places, but they are more than offset by the good eggs.

France used to be something worthwhile, but that something began to die after the First World War. This decay accelerated during the two decades leading up to World War II. France demonstrated its smallness between the Entente Armistice with Germany and the Treaty of Versailles. French decadence was unmasked in May 1940 when Germany invaded. The French had the means to delay or repel a German invasion. Germany really only had a significant superiority in air power. Much of their military manpower was still occupied with Poland. In fact, France blew an opportunity to invade Germany when Germany invaded Poland in September 1939. The Western Front was denuded of all but covering troops at that point. Instead, France only did a token incursion, and promptly withdrew when Poland was beaten. This decay continued even after World War II. The France of Mirabeau and Robespierre is long gone.

Yes, I did mention Robespierre. For all of the horror of the man, he would never stood for a French surrender. Nor would he have allowed Georges Ibrahim Abdallah to live, as it would have been a blot on his perceived honor and that of France:

“To punish the oppressors of humanity is clemency; to forgive them is cruelty.”

        Maximilien Robespierre

        He even surprisingly said this:

“The secret of freedom lies in educating people, whereas the secret of tyranny is in keeping them ignorant.”

        Maximilien Robespierre

The sick irony is the French just sent their army to Mali to battle Islamic terrorists there.

Then again, I’m not surprised at French cowardice, duplicity and shamelessness – this is entirely predictable.

The French always do things for “raison de l’etat” – “reasons of state.”

And if it gets France on the good side of the Muslim World, a dead American and Israeli is a small price to pay for it.

NormanF on January 11, 2013 at 5:24 pm

I don’t agree with you – Debbie – I’m sorry but I’m NOT in favor of life imprisonment for murderers and terrorists. “Life imprisonment” is a joke – wait long enough and the mere passage of time nullifies the deserved punishment.

I’m on record as supporting the death penalty for these kind of crimes. The recidivism rate is zero and there is no chance they can ever be released on parole. The Europeans learned the wrong lessons from World War II.

Whether a killer spends a couple of months to thirty years in prison, its never going to be enough to wipe his slate clean. This guy in France deserved to face the guillotine. The French abolished it and now he’s a free man.

Certain people deserve to forfeit their life – or else there is NO justice in this world.

      Main course: Clifford Olson.

And for the record, as a Canadian, I’m embarrassed to be French. But when you have a restive Muslim major-minority roaming the streets, I bet that the surrenderists have some haute-couture kneepads stockpiled – (insert crude reference to Halal meat right here)!

Once again – Why. Am. I. Not. Too. Surprised.

The Reverend Jacques on January 12, 2013 at 2:41 am

This is pretty obsurd that the French courts decided to give this low-life amnesty to let him roam around on the roads again. And his attorney said that he wants to go back to his native country of Lebanon to become a teacher? Well, if he does go back there and becomes a teacher, we’ll have to wait and see if it’s true or not, my assumption is that he’ll re-join hezbollah and probably do more terrorists motives, etc.

And I agree with Norman that spending the rest of his life in prison isn’t quite enough, the death penalty would’ve been good for this guy, but I doubt that France has “capital punishment”? And as DS said, the ghost of these two dead guys are both crying and VERY pissed off by this decision that the courts in France did!

“A nation is defined by its borders, language & culture!”

“While the U.S. Ambassador to France is denouncing this, Barack Obama’s voice is nowhere to be heard (just as George W. Bush’s voice was silent when Germany released one of the Hezbollah hijacker/murderers of Robert Dean Stethem a few years ago)…”

All post-Eisenhower U.S. Presidents have been inveterate fools and craven sissies in dealing with enemies in general, and Muslim terrorists in particular.

Even Ronald Reagan, the perennial darling of conservatives, didn’t lift a finger in response to Beirut barracks massacre, and the shooting down of a Korean airliner (with a U.S. congressman on board) by the Russians.

Within a day of the Beslan massacre of children by Muslim terrorists in Russia, George W Bush was lecturing the Russians on the advantages of negotiating with Muslim terrorists.

What’s more troubling is that these damned fools continue to nurture, coddle, and buttress failed Muslim nations like Pakistan and Egypt, which blatantly use terrorism as a statecraft.

Is it any wonder that murderous thuggery of Muslims is spinning out of control?

BroncOhBummer on January 11, 2013 at 6:50 pm

Yes, it’s France, and perfidy is France’s middle name, but American presidents also coddle Muz. So it’s not just a French thing,

The correct thing for Carter to do in 1979 was nuke an Iranian city, and warn that Teheran would be nuked if the hostages weren’t returned. The correct thing for Reagan to have done in 1981 would to have carpet bombed Beirut after the bombing of the Marines.

Demonstrate that hitting you will hurt them a hell of a lot more and they will stop hitting you.

Although this is a disappointment, it is not really a surprise. It is not just France — Socialists in general have, at best, turned a blind eye towards terrorism. They were in the same international groupings as the terrorists back in the 19th Century, and in Russia, during the time preceding the 1917 revolution, Socialists, and even liberals, took a very soft tone towards the numerous terrorists who were robbing banks, and indiscriminately killing Government officials.

This softness has continued through today, and is international, not just French. This is what you get when you elect even moderate Socialists. In addition, there is a tie-in between Muslims and Socialists. We all know this is the case today, but it goes back — look at Malcolm X, who not only was a militant Muslim, but spoke at, and supported all kinds of Marxist activities.

Did you see Wolf Blitzer interviewing Morsi? I can see the release of the Blind Schtick before grandma gets the news, you know, because he’s a poor old blind man who needs his family and, of course, it’s the right thing to do, well, for humanitarian reasons because, well, he’s a big f*ck*ng humanitarian. But, of course, Morsi is a man of the rule of law, according to Morsi, and he wouldn’t want to do anything that wasn’t part of the rule of law. What an abomination of the human species Morsi is, an evil SOB beyond words. I expect this sh*t from the French, but the possible release of the Blind Schtick by the OhNo administration makes me ill.
