Rudy’s Business Interests

By
Today’s Wall Street Journal has an interesting article, “Giuliani’s Private-Sector Burden,” which claims that Rudy’s past clients could come back to haunt him.
The only such “business interest” which is troubling is Citgo Petroleum Corp., which is among the clients of Bracewell & Giuliani, LLP, a firm he joined two years ago. The relationship with Citgo predated Giuliani’s arrival at the firm, and he never dealt with the oil company. Giuliani’s campaign released a statement to the Journal saying:

Mayor Giuliani believes Hugo Chavez is not a friend of the United States.

This doesn’t worry me. I think Giuliani knows the right side of foreign policy, which he’s proven time and again, .

I’m just worried Rudy’s opponents will use this against him. And they will. Just you wait.

Giuliani is one smart cookie. Not only that, he can think and speak and even make sense. He even knows how to inspire. He is a combination of FDR, JFK and Joe Montana. I might even go so far as to say, a tad, but only a tad, of Ronald Reagan. By the time the ’08 elections finally roll around, most Americans will have had enough of Hillary and her baggage train. And it is not too long a shot to believe the Muslim gang of terrorists will have threatened or worse, right here in the USA. It will be either Giuliani or Captain America and CA is already gone.

I agree with pursuer, Guiliani IS going to be the best President we have had in a long time.

Rudy was my Mayor and he will be my President. All the crap his enemies on the Left and Right will throw at him won’t stick. He’s a tough guy and has the right stuff. He will take the fight to the Islamist enemy and will never surrender to the forces of appeasement in this country.

FreethinkerNY on March 23, 2007 at 7:05 pm

It is “mind boggling” what Americans will sometimes elect to the presidency. However, I doubt the country is ready for a drag queen in the Whitehouse. If Rudy is not a faggot, he has certainly shown EXTREME bad judgement in some of his public appearances.

Sixpack, you seem not to be keen on Rudy’s fashion statement. So out of all the natural born American’s over the age of 35, who is your choice to lead us away from the abyss and what are his credentials that lead you to this singular choice?

Happiness Pursuer on March 24, 2007 at 11:07 am

Yeah ok, you idiots keep buying into Guiliani. It’s just amazing how you sheeple keep kissing his ass, thinking he’s gonna fight the islamo-facist. Here’s something you diamon containers didn’t even think of:
What will he do about illegal aliens and the boarder?

Check out the credentials of Fred Thompson. My kind of conservative. He got Rudy beat big time!!!

I’ve lived in NYC before, during, and after Guiliani and I concur
that he will be a stellar President. After he deals with Islam,
he can get on to the problem of immigration. But if his handling of Arab terrorists and their representatives in NY is any indication,
he will be tough on border control as well.
He infuriated Clinton when he refused to allow Yasir Arafat
into any functions in the city outside of the UN. And have
you forgotten how when the Saudi Prince handed him a
check for $10 million that had Arab “strings” attached to it,
he told the Prince to stick his money where the sun don’t
shine (not exactly in those words.
He cut over 600,000 off the welfare rolls by providing the kind of assistance that helped them find gainful employment, the
majority of whom have not returned to welfare. Even if they did,
there’s a 2 year limit on it, if you are able bodied.
He was the first mayor in history to cut crime so much NYC became the safest big city in the nation…and remains so. He
actually allowed the police to do their jobs and removed the
restrictions on their Rules of Engagement (which he would do
for the troops in Iraq, no doubt). He knows how to deal with
criminals, and illegals ARE criminals.
All of a sudden NYC had more tourists than they could handle,
a massive building boom with real estate prices to match, and
neighborhoods that no sane person would dare walk around in,
now have new housing and mothers pushing babies in strollers
on the streets
Many people hate Rudy, just because he is so tough. But isn’t
that what we need?

Easy there folks, we got 1.5 years to investigate these would be presidents. I like Rudy fine but as Mayor of NY. I was disappointed that he bailed on the Senate race vs Shrillary though he had medical reasons for doing so. Check out Tom Tancredo and be impressed for what he has had to over come in the House. His opponents have labeled him a racist and a bigot for his stand on illegal aliens. He owns the issue. Next up is your former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. Newt has been hard at work developing real world solutions to America’s problems and they can work. Both of these guys are real conservatives not Rhinos like Mc Cain, Guiliani, and Romney.
Protecting America is fine and dandy as it should be goal number one but the issues of the courts packed full of Liberals legislating form the bench based on foreign law will take the country right down the toilet and if that happens then it won’t matter who wins the next war.

The media WILL manufacture any lie, and Americans WILL believe it! America the land of the flat-liners.

Burt on March 25, 2007 at 7:59 am

Hey JoeSixPack,
I think your insecure about yourself and it shows with your vitriolic statement about Rudy in drag. Rudy is a big enough man and confident enough in his masculinity to pull it off. You might try the same SixPack.
And Warpmine,
It is better that Rudy passed on the Senate. Senators rarely get elected to the Presidency (like maybe only a couple times) because they are consesus builders, not leaders. Rudy is a leader and therefore only a CEO-type position like President fits him. He has no Senate voting baggage or history as a Washington insider.
I love Rudy. He personifies NY toughness and winning attitude. He can handle Hillary and any other MAN the Democrats can throw at him.
I like Rudy in 08 and yes I am a New Yorker and was in Oyster Bay when the Towers came down.
Let’s kick these Islamofascists ass first and discuss everything else second.

DurkaDurkaMohammed on March 26, 2007 at 7:18 pm

After he deals with Islam!….please expand on this action? wow I’m all for it, but thousands of years later the New York mayor will not solve the problem.
