HUH? Obama Army Handbook Blames US Soldiers For Being Killed by Taliban, Says Not to Talk About Women’s Rights, Gays or Oppression

By Debbie Schlussel

I’m not sure why we ever went into Afghanistan. It certainly wasn’t to win a war, since you don’t win wars by building roads and giving candy to those who murder you. And President Bush’s idea of “freedom” and “free elections” for Muslims was warped from Day One, as I said from Day One. Now, Barack Obama is engaging in an outrage that is much worse (though a continuation of the same politically correct Muslim ass-kissing that Bush yoked on our troops). Our soldiers in Afghanistan are still getting murdered and blown up regularly by Muslims and to add extreme insult to injury, there’s this, below. As you read this, keep in mind that this document says that U.S. soldiers training these murderous Afghans to be police have about 200 times the chance of being murdered as a cop on duty in the United States. 200 TIMES! What does that say about these Afghans, other than what we already know: they are savages without any shred of humanity.

Obama’s Extreme Political Correctness & Appeasement of Islam Ties American Soldiers’ Hands Behind Their Backs, Costs Thousands of Their Lives

American soldiers should brace for a “social-cultural shock” when meeting Afghan soldiers and avoid potentially fatal confrontations by steering clear of subjects including women’s rights, religion and Taliban misdeeds, according to a controversial draft of a military handbook being prepared for troops heading to the region.

The proposed Army handbook suggests that Western ignorance of Afghan culture, not Taliban infiltration, has helped drive the recent spike in deadly attacks by Afghan soldiers against the coalition forces.

“Many of the confrontations occur because of [coalition] ignorance of, or lack of empathy for, Muslim and/or Afghan cultural norms, resulting in a violent reaction from the [Afghan security force] member,” according to the draft handbook prepared by Army researchers.

The 75-page manual, reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, is part of a continuing effort by the U.S. military to combat a rise in attacks by Afghan security forces aimed at coalition troops.

But it has drawn criticism from U.S. Marine Gen. John Allen, the top military commander in Afghanistan, who aides said hasn’t—and wouldn’t—endorse the manual as written. Gen. Allen also rejected a proposed foreword that Army officials drafted in his name. . . .

The proposed handbook embraces a hotly debated theory that American cultural ignorance has sparked many so-called insider attacks—more than three dozen of which have claimed the lives of some 63 members of the U.S.-led coalition this year. [DS: Emphasis added.] . . .Afghan leaders say Taliban infiltrators are responsible for most insider attacks. U.S. officials say the attacks are largely rooted in personal feuds between Afghan and coalition troops, though not necessarily the result of cultural insensitivity.

HUH???? Who are they kidding? American soldiers are killed by Afghan Muslims because they hate us. It’s that simple. There is nothing about “cultural ignorance” involved. And here’s a tip: we understand their “culture” quite well (and, truth be told, a cult of savagery is hardly a “culture”). Here’s their “culture”: they are intolerant. They hate fellow Muslims. They especially hate non-Muslims. They hate Christians. They hate Jews. And they savagely kill them every chance that they get. You don’t need to be “culturally sensitive” to another people to expect them not to murder you. If you do expect that and expect that you will be killed because you merely express yourself, it’s a stark hint that you are facing a culture of murder and death, and you should GET. THE. HELL. OUT. Not give them billions in aid and expend more American men’s lives to help them. This draft Army handbook should be called, “The Uber-Dhimmi Handbook.”

Last year, the U.S.-led coalition rejected an internal military study that concluded that cultural insensitivity was in part to blame for insider killings, which it called a growing threat that represented “a severe and rapidly metastasizing malignancy” for the coalition in Afghanistan.

The study was reported last year by The Wall Street Journal. The U.S. military at the time said the study was flawed by “unprofessional rhetoric and sensationalism.”

The 2011 report—”A Crisis of Trust and Cultural Incompatibility”—is now a centerpiece of the draft handbook’s advice to soldiers heading to Afghanistan, and it is listed under the draft’s references and recommended reading. The report’s findings also informed the current manual for troops in Afghanistan, which was released in February, according to Gen. Perkins.

U.S. Army officials didn’t make the current version of the manual available for review.

The Army officer who headed up the 2011 study, Maj. Jeffrey Bordin, now is serving as the Army center’s liaison to Gen. Allen’s coalition headquarters in Kabul.

Why the heck is General Allen keeping this major a-hole in his employ????

The draft handbook uses Maj. Bordin’s conclusions to psychologically prepare troops for serving in Afghanistan. A summary includes views of some U.S. soldiers that Afghan forces engage in thievery, are “gutless in combat,” are “basically stupid,” “profoundly dishonest,” and engage in “treasonous collusion and alliances with enemy forces.”

The draft handbook offers a list of “taboo conversation topics” that soldiers should avoid, including “making derogatory comments about the Taliban,” “advocating women’s rights,” “any criticism of pedophilia,” “directing any criticism towards Afghans,” “mentioning homosexuality and homosexual conduct” or “anything related to Islam.”

Um, is there a single conclusion by U.S. soldiers about the Afghans, listed above, that is false? In fact, the conclusions are spot on. And the conclusions are THE REAL reasons why the Afghans have murdered so many of our soldiers with whom they are supposed to be working.

Hmmm . . . Barack Obama and the U.S. Armed Forces can push Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and gay marriage down our throats, but those same troops that have to live with that aren’t allowed to mention it around Afghans?

Insane.

Are we really trying to teach these savages about democracy and human rights? Hell no. This draft Army handbook makes that clear in spades. It also begs the question: if we are the bad guys and our mention of women and gays is a good excuse for the murder of our soldiers by these Afghans, how are they any different than the Taliban?

Answer: they’re no different. And we need to get out of Afghanistan. NOW.

Here is an excerpt from the draft Army handbook by Major (a-hole) Jeffrey Bordin:

Excerpts: ‘Do Not Discuss Religion’

Below, read excerpts from “Insider Threats – Afghanistan: Observations, Insights, and Lessons,” a draft handbook prepared for U.S. and coalition forces serving in Afghanistan:

Green-on-blue incidents provoke a crisis of confidence and trust among [coalition forces] working with [Afghan troops]. As a means of illuminating this insider threat, those [coalition] personnel working on Security Force Assistance Teams during 2012 that live alongside and mentor [Afghan security forces] have about 200 times the risk of being murdered by an [Afghan security force] member than a U.S. police officer has of being murdered in the line of duty by a perpetrator.

* * *

Preventive tools:

Understand that they may have poor conflict resolution skills and that insults cause irrational escalation of force.
Do not discuss religion

* * *

Cultural Awareness . . . .

Etiquette Violations Best Avoided by [coalition forces] Taboo conversation topics include:

Anything related to Islam
Mention of any other religion and/or spirituality
Debating the war
Making derogatory comments about the Taliban
Advocating women’s rights and equality
Directing any criticism towards Afghans
Mentioning homosexuality and homosexual conduct

Um, if they can’t making any criticism of the Taliban, then that means these Afghans we are working with and “training” are, in fact, supporters of the Taliban.

So, again, WHY. ARE. WE. THERE? Let’s get outta there . . . so we can get back to the business of pandering to our own domestic Muslims and illegal aliens (the two of which are not mutually exclusive).

Our soldiers have been sent to live among the Islamic Children of the Corn and we’ve tied their hands behind their backs, willing them to be murdered. Long past time to leave this G-d-forsaken hellhole. Putting out political correctness and appeasement handbooks in the face of thousands of murders of Americans is beyond disgusting.

There is something to be said for the colonialism of past centuries. At least then, there was some control exercised over these savages. But the (semi)civilized countries have completely lost the will for these kinds of measures because of political correctness extending from the late 19th century, and intensifying as a result of the chaos of the 30s and the 60s.

In a more immediate sense, we should compare the present military attitudes to what we did in the Cold War. Remember Voice of America and Radio Free Europe? In spite of some concessions to political correctness, these institutions did serve to compare or somewhat free society to Communist enslavement. But something like that would be taboo today.

And then there’s also ‘building schools’. Bad as the semi-fascist redshirts of the teachers’ unions are in this country, the ‘schools’ that teach Islamic terrorism, built and strengthened with our dollars, are even worse.

Little Al on December 12, 2012 at 12:31 pm

Wow! (Skzion, I had to start with that word because it’s so outrageous, LOL!) We MUST get out of that hellhole. This is such an outrage.

It’s frustrating because to get out we not only have to convince the Marxist Islamophile Obama-Putin he is wrong (He’s the worst narcissist in the world! That will be Herculean & Sisyphisian!) but ALSO not only wake up the American Proles (who know nothing about Islam but love Honey BooBoo & the skank Kardashians) but convince (as well) the PC lovers that Islam is indeed an anti-social, backwards evil death cult!

I’m ready thou’. What can we do to get our troops out of Afghanistan? I’m willing to do what I can.

I think it’s telling (and hopefully, the horror of it WILL be able to convince the Proles & the PC crowd) that the Mooooslim, pig Afghans don’t want you to talk about Homos because that is so verboten in Afghanistan and their Moooslim sensibilities (even thou’ they indulge disproportionately!) BUT you should not be critical about Paedophilia!!! Don’t get between a filthy Afghani & his Bacha Bazi boy…even if those boys end up dead before they hit adulthood!

Skunky on December 12, 2012 at 12:38 pm

Skunky, your use of “wow” couldn’t be more appropriate. 🙂

skzion on December 12, 2012 at 11:40 pm

More PC insanity which further emasculates our military to effect the mission they were sent on. That seems to be the MO these dark days….same inbred thinking is what helped cause the downfall of the Border Patrol, ICE, and other agencies. Now they’ve reaped what they sowed; these will be the same pandering fools who’ll cry out “We have a problem…” yet fail to accept the accountability it was they who created it.

IceNoMore on December 12, 2012 at 12:43 pm

Thank you General Allen for standing up against this politically Forrest BS. I don’t think he will be on the Obamas Christmas card list this year.

And I hope the good General updated his resume. BHO is sure to fire him for not adopting dhimmitude in the Marine Corps.

J: Gen. Allen didn’t exactly stand up to this guy. He promoted him to work directly under his command and draft the new handbook. His not signing it isn’t the same as standing up to him. He should fire or demote the guy or hire someone else, but he isn’t b/c he’s a dhimmi, too. Remember that he put Jill Kelley up to calling a radio station to stop them from deep fat frying the koran. DS

Jarhead on December 12, 2012 at 1:56 pm

Its our fault they don’t appreciate us, admire us and want us to be there.

If that’s case, we have no business remaining in Afghanistan, period. If we have to hide who we are from them to get them to tolerate us, even more good reason for us to get out.

The US military is built to win wars not to run expensive and pointless baby-sitting missions in Third World Islamic hellholes.

In short, our Afghan mission is a disastrous sequel to the failed Somalia nation-building mission from we withdrew in disgrace in 1994. Its hard to justify expending American lives over there on behalf of people who want us all dead.

There is no point in waiting til 2014 to get out! The Afghan should be terminated immediately. And the hell with Islamic butt kissing as window dressing to something that in the end will lead for America, to no good outcome.

NormanF on December 12, 2012 at 1:22 pm

Somehow, I can’t imagine a guy like MacArthur or Patton going along with this sort of crap—but that was then, and this is now.

The military has been PC since Vietnam, although at least then, some real soldiers actually did violate the absurd rules of engagement—from time to time. (But not enough to affect the outcome.)

I think you are missing the point. Our soldiers are being killed because of our cultural ignorance. To the extent that “we” as in “we understand their “culture” quite well” means the population at large (including our military and political leaders) and not the narrow subset of you, your readers, and a few others, you are wrong.

As you have stated many times, THE PROBLEM IS ISLAM. Once the population at large (including our military and political leaders) understands this we will deal with these savages more appropriately.

I_AM_ME on December 12, 2012 at 1:27 pm

    I AM ME: nicely put.

skzion on December 12, 2012 at 11:42 pm

Rank and file troops understand exactly whom our Afghan “allies” really are. They are ALL Taliban.

Two things will happen by 2014: Afghanistan becomes an Islamic Sharia state or the Taliban return to power and make it an Islamic Sharia state.

Same diff. Nice to know democracy is working so well in the Islamic World! And we’ll be leaving Afghanistan with nothing to show for all the blood, sweat and tears we poured out while we were there.

NormanF on December 12, 2012 at 1:35 pm

WHAT. THE. F—??? Hey while we’re at it, maybe the Fort Hood shooter only acted out because so many women in America bare their legs, arms and faces. So let me get this straight. The afghans don’t like it when our soldiers accuse them of being stupid, dishonest and untrustworty to the point of colluding with the Taliban…..so the Afghans go ahead and prove the soldiers right? Puh-lease. What we should do is what the Afghans do. You killed one of ours so you owe us a blood debt and we get to decide how it’s paid. Like you said so many times before

Sean M on December 12, 2012 at 1:39 pm

Like you said so many times before, Debbie. You can’t have a clash of civilizations when one side isn’t in any way civilized.

Sean M on December 12, 2012 at 1:40 pm

NObama won’t be happy until he’s completely ruined America and the liberal left apparently can’t, or won’t, see what’s really going on. I am just saddened by the whole thing. And now that the Marine general has opposed the booklet, he will probably be caught in an extra-marital affair, just like Patraeus…

Marie McGaha on December 12, 2012 at 3:20 pm

Barack Obama brandishes his whip at home on a regular basis, whether it is some feckless Republican congressman or a poor soul who crosses him. However, when Islam comes up, the master becomes a house slave who fears the lash. There is no indignity or pointless risk to self that Barack Obama will not insist that a soldier endure to placate the enemy in their midst. That Army guide simply validates the enemy view that American soldiers are evil, and are unwilling to stand up for what they believe in.

Worry01 on December 12, 2012 at 4:19 pm

“Understand that they may have poor conflict resolution skills . . .” Obviously we should be sending counselors and social workers to Afghanistan, not marines.

Harry on December 12, 2012 at 7:57 pm

“poor conflict resolution skills”???? Ridiculous – they have outstanding conflict resolution skills. When there’s conflict, they kill you which permanently ends the conflict.

notskunky on December 12, 2012 at 9:24 pm

Looking back, if Saint Ronald Reagan did not support the anti-Soviet rebels, the US would not be in Afghanistan right now.

I think America should admit they have lost, and order a retreat.

Shlomo Weinberg on December 13, 2012 at 7:17 am

This insanity under Obama is 10 worse than what I experienced under Bill Clinton when I was in the Marine Corps. If I was still in active duty, I would as a Staff NCO tell those under my command, to use this handbook as toilet paper, fire kindling, or bird cage liner. No way I want the deaths on my shoulders because my men need to be “culturaly sensitive” so they can get shot behind there backs.

This is such asinine policy and why is Senator McCain not grilling the Pentagon over this horse sh*t handbook? I do not get disappointed for anyone not joining the military now. I tell some younger lads the straight facts. I do not give them the recruiter salesman pitch but I do tell them that their lives are at greater risk because of f$cked policies by our politicians and their uniformed minions. I also tell them if they are ever severely injured or wounded that dealing with the VA is another BS battle they will have to face.

My prayers to the men and women who have deal with many battles and I am not talking about the frontlines either.

Mario on December 13, 2012 at 7:19 am

Btw-if I was in charge, I would tell my men to be ARMED at all times and NEVER, NEVER turn your back on any of these Afghan bastards. The other rule is in dealing with these thugs is one makes a quick movement whether to get a pistol or get his wallet, shoot first and debate later. I know I be removed from command, hell under this Regime, I mean Administration [sarcasm] , I probably sent to Leavenworth but I be feel better knowing my men would have a better chance of returning alive.

Mario on December 13, 2012 at 7:33 am

This is part of the stupid “Powell Doctrine ” make nice on your enemy , you can’t wage war with the intent of not devastating your opponent , after the enemy is vanquished you can begin the process of rebuilding ,the problem with modern war tactics is the bad guys don’t know they lost . Muslim don’t understand kindness or common sense . Isreal has this problem today , you have to crush the opposition.

Mike Kaszynski on December 13, 2012 at 9:40 am

the us military is just kissing obamas but they have become useless if obama was president in 1841 we would have lost the war i dont know what we can do hes around for another 4 years can the usa last 4 more years with obama

martin on December 13, 2012 at 12:55 pm

I remember, one time, a few years back, reciting, “…protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, against ALL enemies; foreign and domestic.”
Bueller? Bueller? …anyone?
The Mujahadeen have used the art of taqiyyah and kitman to the max; and our First Amendment as a Trojan Horse of sorts, to infiltrate, disperse the West, and destroy western common sense. Someone needs to call Ft. Leonard Wood and the Army doctrinal center and demand explainations. Robert Pape [University of Chicago] books should be removed from the doctrinal warfighting center(s) for they have corrupted and infected the halls of warfighting higher learning. (Suicide bombings are the fault of the occupying force(s)
Is it just me, or in the past 3-4 years, commercials for all the Armed Services focus around the “humanitarian mission” performed? The aid provided? In genral, the military portrayed in “Stripes” was/is more apt at getting the job done. Where’s Sgt. Hulka when we need him, let alone Swartzkopf (sp?))
Hell, it has been written, that even ol’ Mohammed himself hated hypocrits too…

Sick_Boy on December 13, 2012 at 9:00 pm

Why the doctrinal center(s) for clarafications?
Using a pen is cheaper to change the way a unit performs a tasking [warfighting, mission parameters, communicate etc.] In certain instances, hardware is required, as in putting 105mm rounds down range, rate/volumn of fire, overflight characteristics etc. But, simply making a change to any doctrine WILL effectively change the employment/deployment of ALL things.
Where do a ton of “ring knockers” go after their time on active duty? Doctrinal centers, warfighting schools, and/or beltway consulting firms (usually built around their career specialities). They perform several “grip-n-grins a month, don loafers and Oxfords and khakis with government officials on the weekends, and seal the deal(s) with, “Yes sir. Will do. Let my people get in touch with you.” If they’re tried and true to honor in the traditional sense- so long to the revolving myulti-FY contracting.
God bless the grunts period, and keep them safe.

    Sick_Boy on December 13, 2012 at 9:12 pm

Blaming the victim…now where have we heard that one before? Don’t say anything “offensive”…politcial correct speech protecting the enemy? Would we have done that against the Nazis? or the Italians? or even the Japanesse? Don’t stand up for women’s rights or againt pedophiles? They must mean things that the West and Democracy stand for, like equal rights and protecting children. Call me old fashion but I believe in scorched earth and going home. Let them rebuild…or not.
