Petraeus Catfight: Did Ex-CIA Director Have More Girlfriends? Other Lessons I Learned From the General

By Debbie Schlussel

So, now, we’re learning that the reason disgraced former CIA Director David Petraeus’ extra-marital affair with Paula Broadwell (age 40) came to light is that she was e-mail harassing his younger female friend, Jill Kelley (age 37). Wow, this is gettin’ better than “Fatal Attraction.” Was Kelley another Petraeus concubine? She says no, and so does Petraeus. Whatever the case, we now know that the FBI knew about all of this back in the summer.

“Look at My Harem!”: David Petraues w/ Paula Broadwell (above) and Natalie Khawam, Scott Kelley, Jill Kelley & Holly Petraeus (below)

While it’s being reported that Kelley and her husband were close friends of the Petraesus, Broadwell certainly thought there was something going on between them, which is why Broadwell send threatening e-mails to Kelley. It begs the question: how many other chicks did this unscrupulous then-CIA Director have? He may turn out to be the White Kwame Kilpatrick . . . at least in the “dating” (euphemism) department.

What kind of CIA Director has multiple girlfriends other than his wife? Maybe this one. He does like Islam, and, hey, he’s got his own harem. Imagine the blackmail this doofus exposed himself to. If it weren’t so scary to U.S. national security, it would be comedy gold. I mean, is this guy Petraeus gonna turn out to have more mistresses than Tiger Woods? Don’t bet against it.

And the story has shown us a lot of things:

1) Whenever an author says he or she had “exclusive access” as Broadwell constantly did, you gotta ask: does that mean the author is sleeping with the subject? I mean the book she wrote is a gushing loveletter to a hayseed goober pan-Arabist in uniform who butt-snorkled Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan at the cost of thousands of American lives. And, yes, like you, I laughed at the title of the book, “All In,” which should’ve been called “All In With a Condom,” or if they didn’t use protection (which means Broadwell’s hubby now has the diseases of all the General’s chicks), then, “All In Without Protection,” which kind of describes what Petraeus did to America by using CentCom and the CIA as his personal pick-up joint, and by sending American men to build roads and hand out candy to people armed with SAMs aimed at the Americans. Insider access sometimes really means inside her access. I think there’s no question that two egomaniacs–Broadwell and Petraeus–temporarily found their soulmates. How many times must we hear about their six minute miles and how Broadwell was at the top of her class at West Point and a fitness champ. Me, me, me, me. Look at me, notice me, I’m important! Too bad Glenn Close is too old to play her in the movie.

2) Anyone who was worried that Petraeus wouldn’t be there to spout the BS he already spouted about the Benghazi consulate murders (he already blamed it on the anti-Mohammed video), well, you have something else to look forward to. I guarantee there will be hearings on Petraeus unzipped. Yup, our great Kardashified country just got even more dignified. Thanks, General.

3) You have to doubt what you read from Ronald Kessler and NewsMax and many other so-called “journalism” outlets on the right, just as you have to do the same with those on the left. For much of the weekend, Drudge had as his main headline a link to a “report” by Kessler, claiming his FBI insiders told him they were the investigators and that the investigation began as a look into corruption. Uh, WRONG. It began when Paula Broadwell sent threatening e-mails to what she believed was her Petraeus co-concubine, Jill Kelley, and Kelley reported it to a friend who is an FBI agent. NewsMax’s Kessler also claimed that Broadwell broke up with Petraeus and he sent her “thousands of e-mails” trying to get her back, which failed. WRONG again. It’s pretty clear Broadwell was still very much hot and heavy for Petraeus, but that he was either not interested or was, indeed, still having an affair with Broadwell. I mean, why else would she threaten what she thought was the other chick . . . if she broke it off with the General and ignored his e-mails trying to get her back. Clearly that isn’t what happened. Either Kessler made all of this up (which it sounds like) or his source was a fraud. Either way, his “reporting” wasn’t too accurate. Not even close. But, hey, he wrote for the New York Times for years, until they dumped him and NewsMax scooped him up from the trash bin.

It’s probably the same for NewsMax, where there’s little fact-checking or real journalism to speak of, and you can’t believe the vast majority of what you read. The right constantly complains about the left-wing mainstream media, but then serves up completely false, totally fabricated crap at places like NewsMax, WND, and Breitfraud (all of the sites of which spent two weeks covering Sean Hannity’s ass when my story broke that he committed the Freedom Concert fraud – the three Breitfraud sites all backed Sean Vannity’s claim that he paid for his private planes, his posse’s fancy suites and vehicles, etc., and yet never ever obtained or demanded any receipts or financial records . . . because they show otherwise). (Conservative News Service did the same, because it’s owned by Hannity buddy Brent Bozell, Jr.)

Breitfraud chief Joel Pollak repeatedly tweeted what a great guy and friend of Israel Nelson Mandela is, something only a complete ignoramus or liar would say (he’s both). It’s well known that Mandela is a Jew-hating, anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian piece of crap, despite the fact that dhimmi Jews helped him during Apartheid. Pollak just doesn’t know what he’s talking about or care about the facts, and again, he heads Breitfraud. That’s not to mention that for weeks, the Breitfraud sites ran the “work” of Jeff Dunetz, who goes by the deceptive name “Yid With Lid” (he’s not a religious Jew), attacking Anthony Weiner’s exposing himself on Twitter, all while Dunetz knew that he, himself, had posted his own masturbation video online and sent it to women other than his wife, in addition to apparently rating the prostitutes he patronized. (He used the fake name “Sammy Benoit” for some time, as well as “Gridney,” in order to evade detection.)

Yup, you cannot believe these people and you have to question their motives . . . whether it’s Paula Broadwell, whose “work” appeared in the New York Times or things you read on these “conservative” sites, which simply lie to get their own slice of the Drudge links and traffic. Whose itch are they scratching? It usually isn’t an arms length, journalistically ethical relationship. And what they’re serving up isn’t fact or accurate.

Bottom line: I doubt Broadwell is the only one. She’s just the most mentally unstable concubine. David Petraeus didn’t just start doing this at age 60–or 59, since he only recently celebrated his birthday.

So, how many chicks did this arrogant fool have on the side? You can bet I’m not the only one asking. His wife is, too.

Aren’t you glad this guy wasn’t the Republican nominee for President, as Roger Ailes and Peter King and William Kristol and others wanted? The information would have come out, and Obama would have won in a landslide.

Yup.

Republicans care only about winning not about principles.

The fact they knew so little about David Petraeus shows easily people are willing to be fooled.

And he’s just the tip of the iceberg in our Kardashianifed America.

Broadwell sent threatening emails that the FBI investigated. Your standard “Keep your hands off my boyfriend” email wouldn’t merit that. Millions of them get sent every day. They must have been humdingers.

Miranda Rose Smith on November 12, 2012 at 2:19 am

I also wonder how legitimate his Princeton PhD was — was it just more or less an honorary degree like the garbage from the Kennedy School of Government?

And as I mentioned in the last post, this raises a question about the nitwit book reviewers like Gergen and Doris Kearns Godwin (already discredited for plagiarism). Generally anything published by a popular press must be taken with a grain of salt until proven otherwise. The burden is on them to show legitimacy.

But all is not lost for Petraeus. He is now a leading candidate for the Democratic nomination in 2016. He fits right in (no pun intended).

Little Al on November 12, 2012 at 2:38 am

The real writer of “Al In” is Vernon Loeb, a Washington Post journalist–not Paula Broadwell. Broadwell admits as much in this video of a book store promotional: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiEgiUNs_bk

Note that Vernon Loeb is at the book store with Broadwell, promoting the book. This is unusual in the book business. Although many a ghost writer receives some writing credit, as Loeb does in “Al In,” the ghost writer seldom goes on the book tour with the “primary” author of the book.

Vernon Loeb, of course, is laying low…. for now.

Ralph Adamo on November 12, 2012 at 4:51 pm

RA, I guess I should admire the clever wordplay in your first phrase. But clever wordplay and clever writing do not take the place of substance.

I stay away from hack writing and hack books, and ignore promotions at my local bookstore that are devoted to garbage writing. I am thus not familiar with the practices of book signings for such publications. So I’ll take your word for it that it is not customary for the ghost writer to be present.

But it is absolutely clear that Broadwell is the lead writer. She was described as such during the signing by the bookstore owner, who said only that she was ‘helped’ by the WP writer. She describes the ‘support’ she got in writing the book, and describes this reporter as her ‘writing partner’. It is a huge inferential leap to conclude from this that he really wrote the book.

This is even more so when we realize that she was the one who had the access to Petraeus. As such, she clearly set the tone and directed the overall content of the book. How could he possibly do this on his own when she was the one with the access, the military background and the knowledge of Petraeus (along with the running and the ‘heavy breathing’ that, as she said, resulted from it”?

And ‘book tour’? He lives in the DC area where the promotion took place, so he wasn’t ‘touring’. And even if he was, it is still a huge inferential leap. Parenthetically, one of the problems with post-modernism, and those like yourself who are influenced by it, is the problem of making these huge inferential leaps with little if any support. Postmodern literary critics do it all the time, so I guess it becomes a habit.

But I’m not quite sure what the point of your post is. She obviously influenced the content of the book since it is nothing but a glorified hymn to Petraeus. Perhaps she can’t write well because she is an affirmative action ‘scholar’. Isn’t that what ghost writers usually help with?

Any fool can see that this is not an objective book. The rank-and-file contemporaneous reviewers on the various sites, were, by and large able to see this, when the literary ‘hacks’ whose reviews were featured, would not acknowledge this. Most of these reviews were written long before knowledge of the affair became public. The ability to see the obvious is key in situations like this.

So let’s steer clear of pseudo-intellectual ranting, and try to stick to the subject. Along those lines, it is a telling indication of Broadwell’s intellectual weakness, and the opportunism of the Broadwell/Petraeus pair, that the main theme of the book is the ‘team-building’ of Petraeus.

Team building in the military? Where is the critical discussion of how team-building fits into the military tradition, and why, if her comments are true, team-building has replaced the centuries-old tradition of military discipline and following orders.

Team building? Where is the discussion of politico/military objectives? What is Petraeus’ worldview and how does his military experiences fit into this? When I hear a discussion of team-building the first thing that comes to mind is building the foundations for a post-military career of being a motivational speaker, which is somewhat comparable to being a hack writer. And it more or less shows the quality of the PhD that she is getting. Pseudo-intellectual pretense with no substance.

Little Al on November 12, 2012 at 6:21 pm

Although maybe he will have trouble getting the Democratic nomination. Holly Petraeus is, apparently, somewhat to the left, and is likely to appear as a sympathetic figure to many on the left.

And, as pointed out in the post, this shows that Boardwell was mentally unstable to say the least. What kind of judgment does this show for Petraeus? Not only is he an adulterer, but he chooses a mentally unstable woman. But maybe not so surprising. After all, diversity is needed for the CIA as is the case everywhere else, and he certainly provided diversity both in his activities in general and in his choice of women.

Little Al on November 12, 2012 at 2:51 am

i think petraeus let the ‘little general’ choose the girlfriends…

kirche on November 12, 2012 at 8:15 am

I would agree with Debbie that Broadwell was probably not the only extramarital affair Petraeus had engaged in. He probably got away with quite a bit, due to his rank.

Man o man.

Petraeus is in a fix now.

No girlfriends,no wife and no job.

Just speculating here, but …

Petraeus used to be vilified by the left (Remember the General “Betray Us” ad that was run I think by Moveon.org?). Shortly after that he became an integral part of the Obama Administration National Security apparatus.

I am thinking that someone (possibly George Soros) dug up dirt on Petraeus which might very well have been his extra martial activities and either told him they had the dirt on him or kept it in reserve in case they ever needed it. Either way they had him in the bag.

For instance they may have forced him to shut up over the military’s withdrawal from Iraq and the planned withdrawal fro Afghanistan (A lot of others in the military complained and are still complaining).

IAM: Puh-leeze. You actually think Soros forced Broadwell to e-mail threats to Kelley and then forced Kelley to report it to her friend in the FBI? Come on. You and others on the right are really stretching here. Petraeus was a good soldier for Obama, lying for him the first time he testified, and he’d do that again. He can also be called to testify, regardless of the fact that he resigned. DS

I_AM_ME on November 12, 2012 at 7:42 am

i_am_me – my guess is that petraeus was both blackmailed, and accepted a pay-off, to resign and avoid testifying…

for the obamboozle admin to just blackmail him and shove him out of the way would leave him bitter and broke. no, they probably offered up some offshore compensation and perhaps a promise to dedicate the obamboozle cover-up machine to his plight.

K: Baloney. He already testified and lied, blaming the attacks on the anti-Mohammed video. He’d do it again, and can still be called as a private citizen. DS

kirche on November 12, 2012 at 8:20 am

      hey, baloney isn’t kosher, schlussel…

No. I was referring to the fact (and it is a fact) that at one time the left hated the guy and very shortly after that they loved him.

I hate how women on the left think with their lady parts. It got me thinking about another woman astronaut that drove all those miles in a diaper……..and so it goes..

Women truly are an embarrassment to our gender.

That wo-MAN BROADwell, probably got her way from her kidhood on…she pushed her way into the Academy at a time when the PUSH was on for TOKEN gals in the Academies and she has been getting her own way for years, apparently.

Unfortunately the media is going to make her the ONLY villian in the event… poor little skinny UGLY General gets TANGLED UP with a STRONG pushy woman with BIG MANLY HANDS. Just look at the ROUND wife with the liberal-lesbo hairdo, friend of faxahontisWarren andcheckout her VERY dour moon face… can you BLAME him when wo-MAN comes along and gives him LITERALLY THE RUN( 6 mile no less!) of his life. AH…the little head won out!!

Poor widdle skinny General. Pushed around by politicans and the likes of obama, jarrett, guido pann-shetta, the hillary-huma axis, axelrod, BIDEN( ouch!) and the daily koss…. POOR GUY!

Then enter the wo-MAN …sheNAH of the jungle, wonder wo-MAN and CAT wo-MAN rolled into one… meow… he FINALLY got a HOTTY!!

Poor widdle general, ugly odd looking guy with an ODD name… finally gets what he THINKS he deserves: a REAL SOLDIER with an ALL IN personality and the lady parts to complement his own!

SOMETHING in this affair stinks to high heavens… oh yeah… he WAS a part of the most “transparent” administration in history of uh… uh…. HADES!

Alabama Pride on November 12, 2012 at 3:21 pm

It’s a sordid mess for sure, Debbie, but I wouldn’t so quickly dismiss Kessler’s reporting. He did, after all, break the Secret Service prostitution scandal and his book about FBI abuses forced former FBI Director William Sessions to resign. Maybe his source had some of the facts wrong, but in the large, he’s probably on to so something–namely that Obama knew about the affair long before the election and deliberately chose to cover it up until after the election. I think the Obama administration has a vested interest now in discrediting Broadwell all that it can because she was saying things not at all helpful to their cause, including her claim that the CIA annex was holding Libya militia members as prisoners and the attackers on September 11 were seeking their release. She said the CIA knew that was the cause of the attack within 24 hours. Then why did Petraeus tell Congress that it was all about that stupid video? When the White House sends the Washington Post out to put out that fire, then there must be some smoke there.

G: He or his “source” (if we are to believe the source exists in the first place, and I do not) got the entire story wrong, even though the alleged “source” is supposed to be one of the FBI agents who investigated the case. If that were true, the agent wouldn’t have gotten all the major details wrong. With the Secret Service story, it was strange b/c he didn’t dare break the story himself, and instead passed it on to the Washington Post to break. DS

I didn’t know this about Yid with Lid. What conservative news sites do you recommend besides your own of course? Thanks.

– David

D: NONE of them. DS

David on November 12, 2012 at 9:14 am

So where should someone like me get honest news?

D: Watch and read the mainstream media and think for yourself about what is and isn’t true. The “conservative” media merely plagiarizes what the mainstream says, and many in other cases, merely fabricate stories so that they are even less accurate than the mainstream media. There is simply zero fact-checking at any of these outlets. I don’t read them, as they simply are NOT an alternative. In fact, the only reliable “news” on Breitfraud are the AP stories they’ve bought the right to post, and that’s the mainstream liberal media you can read anywhere. I think for myself, and you should, too. DS

David on November 12, 2012 at 9:31 am

I do think for myself, but it’s difficult to sort out the truth from the lies in today’s media. Then again, maybe I’m lazy and depend too much on the fraudulent sources you mentioned. I’ll commit myself to being more wary of the news sources and news stories that I read. I believed all the conservative pollsters, like Dick Morris and others, that the Obama voters wouldn’t come out to vote and that the Repubs were totally enthused. They obviously didn’t know what they were talking about and I will never follow them again.

Unfortunately it looks like the military is even worse now than it was in the 80’s. I didn’t think it was possible back then. He certainly has shown repeated arrogance and ignorance with his willy, for sure. The married girlfriend showed her class by naming her book as well. What a bunch of scum bags. Dark hour for the entire country. It appears to be getting even darker with the other woman stepping into the lime light.

No wonder America has gone into a tailspin since 911. We have had in our corridors of power men of extremely low intelligence (George W Bush, John McCain) and extremely low integrity (Petraus, Clinton, Edward Kennedy, Chris Dodd).

If Bush and the over-rated Condi Rice had heeded pre-911 warnings, and had we invaded Pakistan instead of Iraq, we would NOT have Obama, a brazenly anti-American/pro-Jihad president.

The damage is done: it’s time to move to Ecuador!

One has to wonder if Petraeus got his general’s stars from a Cracker-Jack or Kellogg’s cereal box, given his particular track record.

But insofar as NewsMax was mentioned (which I’ve sometimes perused, albeit with all the caveats that have been brought up here), there are more than quite a few red flags associated with that group of winners (sarc alert). Until recently, the self-promoting doofus “Scamela” Geller was a columnist for them (or, at least, posing as one) – and has subsequently whined about how “Jihad” Grover Norquist (who is also a columnist there, and G-d help anyone who takes his word on anything as gospel) had her and her columns removed, as if that was comparable to the strings he pulled at TownHall (yet another bunch of dubious and borderline fraudulent poseurs) to get Debbie and her columns pulled off that site. Of course, there is no comparison – except maybe to those who’ve been frequently referred to here as the “lumpenconservatariat.” (And never mind, also, that “Scamela” – who is a big Petraeus fan and has been yapping nonsense about how he was “hounded out” – is also writing for WND – another site of dubious, if any, value as likewise clearly delineated.)

And these so-called Conservatives think Grover Norquist and Darrell Issa are on our side. On the Twitters a Conservative tweeted that Issa should be Speaker Of The House. What, is Dracula unavailable?

I just re-tweeted it because it was so outrageous. I used to tweet them back saying they should do some research on him but I just get ignored. So now I just re-tweet the utterly absurd. And I get sad that some Conservatives remind me of Liberals.

Nick Fury on November 12, 2012 at 11:34 am

As noted here, the Conservative Media often does not even do its own research and investigating. It frequently piggy-backs off the mainstream media, or in some cases even engages in fabrication. A spoon fed conservative really is really no better than a spoon fed liberal. Being too lazy to look at different sources in order to compare and contrast them is not a virtue. It is better to know more about less than to know less about more. Unlike twenty years ago, it is relatively quick and easy to look up magazine and newspaper articles past and present without having to play with microfiche or hardbound guides at libraries. You have search engines that run rings around those old methods of finding things out. The left is ascendant, and there is no longer an automatic conservative majority for anything anymore.

Worry01 on November 12, 2012 at 11:42 am

GREAT photo, Debbie. Here’s my observation … I learned early in what little political involvement I’ve had that neither Party will let a candidate advance very far until the “have” something on them. As the head of the Democrat Party in (no name state) said to me “We can’t afford loose cannons”.

I believe it’s vital to those in power that men and women they elevate to the highest positions of trust … they absolutely have to have some sort of hold on them. They have to have damning dirt in order to be sure in their owen calculations their orders will be carried out.

I know the British thought this way in WWII when the men responsible for the most dangerous secrets were chosen because they were homosexuals … a sin no one could afford to have revealed back then. Homosexuals had a secret that if revealed would be catastrophic to them. Ergo – they were great as Keepers of the Secrets.

But this flipped on the Brits as these same men worked in secret to “normalize” homosexuality in society.

It’s rumored that the next foul sin that was used as a ball and chain was to hire pedophiles. Orlin Grabbe had a lengthy expose on the topic and how … like with homosexuality … this practice came back to bite society in the butt as the pedophiles in power worked behind the scenes to “normalize” pedophiles.

I’d be quite willing to believe Petraeus has a predilection to a deviancy as a component to his rapid rise to power.

Or, that he is a real Patriot who has been caught in a classic Sparrow trap (honey-trap) in the war of the grey beards inside the Beltway.

I also noticed the wonderful press treatment over Paula Broadwell. There is really nothing new here. She slept with him because of his title. It does make me wonder how she did so great at Westpoint. People don’t basically change that much. I think it is fair to ask who she slept with to get these wonderful grades. Nothing new here. I would think an important general would know this in advance.

He was always hated by the Obama regime. I wonder why he is lasted as long as he did.

His taste in his affairs tends toward dark haired middle eastern Arab types from the photos.

Did the girls pursue him because of his status? Were they part of a scheme to embarrass him and get him the hell out? Did he pursue the women? Were they undercover agents working for him?

Just like the other scandals (or I forget this administration does not have any scandals) we will never know the facts. Only what Axelrod wants us to know.

This could be Bush’s fault too. I forgot about that one.

Pan, the feminists won’t admit this but women are nastier when it comes to picking men than men picking women (a naked body goes far with many men…they are wired that way). Some like sociopathic dirtbags in Prison (because they are insane nutters and think they have magical powers and can change these animals or they are “special”. Or they are weirdos who can’t handle *real*, initimate relationships).

Power is very potent to skanky, power-loving females. They don’t care what the ugly and old dude looks like as long as he has power & money. You don’t see many men doing that (unless they are wicked ugly or pedophiles…water seeks it’s own level in what’s obtainable in a “love match”). The proof speaks for itself (Rock & roll groupies. Trophy wives. Prostitutes.)

Women are NOT the better sex and they should not rule the world and they certainly won’t save it.

Skunky on November 12, 2012 at 12:43 pm

Smoke and mirrors. This is cover for something much more heinous (Benghazi). We will know in a few months…or never.

Patriot Woman on November 12, 2012 at 12:27 pm

I’m still trying to figure out what the hell happened in Benghazi and separate the crap from the good guts and now this scandal is added to the muck & mire! Ugh!

I noticed discrepancies last evo when I was re-reading the foundational stories on this scandal (British papers…they lie too but they print stuff USA doesn’t sometimes)…just as DS said…it was first reported that they “broke up” AFTER he obtained the CIA position and then before I went to bed I was reading they were still “dating” when he started at the CIA.

I agree with Sharon. Women are embarrassing. This woman was married and then acted as if the married “General” was hers and hers alone. Honour among thieves and all that. It also is a peek into the marriage zeitgeist in 2012 (many are not so good for many reasons and in 2012 a big negative are bossy, nasty, naggy wives who wear the pants (and withhold sex) from the men they chose to marry) and how dysfunctional they are. And it is beginning to look like Petraeus had a few paramours. Power and ego and attention from women who find cheating exciting and power even more exciting. Life is undignified and tawdry in 2012.

Right now I am thinking about how STOOPID and selfish it was for Petraeus to roll the dice in such a ponderous way (along with his Islamopandering), how stupid it was to take a position in any part or periphery in the Obama-Putin administration (if one is a good person and we know now that P4 WASN’T) AND most of the the evil and wicked machinations of the Obama-Putin regime to do all they can bolster their power and protect it and show what they will do if you mess with them.

Scary and not good. Not good at all.

Somehow I can’t over look the fact that in the 2nd picture everybody is wearing New Orleans style “take it off” beads… The beads are most popular during Mardi Gras…

Does anybody know where and when the picture was taken?

Hans on November 12, 2012 at 12:44 pm

Hans, I initially made the connection to Mardis Gras as well, but this is Florida. They pass out those beads during Fantasy Fest in Key West as well. Fantasy Fest was started as a big annual festival for the LGBT community to raise money for AIDS-related causes around Halloween every year. Over time it has been taken over by the biker/swinger/nudist crowd. I was down there with a friend a few years ago while it was taking place. I would never go back. I saw enough women who should never be seen in public unclothed walking around topless or less to last a life time.

Gary Welsh on November 12, 2012 at 3:13 pm

If you checkout the Jolly Rodger flag at the rear and the badges on his wife’s necklace, this is most likely the big PIRATE event in the TAMPA area where those ladies and her hubby live.

Had the misfortune of attending that drunk-fest a few years ago…never again, it was a mess!

Have family in the area and we were there for a wedding that happened the same weekend. YIKES!

But I guess the pirate event WAS fun for SOME people. LOL

Alabama Pride on November 12, 2012 at 4:09 pm

Tampa has it’s own but more family friendly version of Mardi Gras called Gasparilla. Supposedly after a legendary Pirate named Gaspar who invaded and stayed. http://www.gasparillapiratefest.com/
They do the bead thing too like in New Orleans.

General Colin Powell and Petraeus were once considered presidential material but have exposed themselves for the phonies whom they are.

Concerned Citizen on November 12, 2012 at 1:07 pm

DS it’s probably a moot point to ask your opinion on Pat Dollard but I have always wondered.

And I ask because many years ago I read a Vanity Fair expose on him. Even allowing for the far left Liberal bias of that pompous rag what they printed was a very tawdry and disgustingly hedonistic article. It was one of the most shocking articles I had ever read. Never thought of him again (because the article was so unsavory) but I see him often tweeted in the Twitters.

So just for curiosity. That article was quite shocking.

Skunky on November 12, 2012 at 1:25 pm

the crazy one’s are always best in the sack…

kirche on November 12, 2012 at 1:35 pm

Well, amazingly enough, they are now reporting on Drudge that Petraeus will NOT be testifying after all.

I hope the House won’t let the election results or Petraeus’s pranks discourage them from doing a thorough investigation of that Benghazi attack. The Democrats certainly didn’t lose interest in Watergate after the disastrous (for them) ’72 elections – far from losing interest, they doubled down. And nobody died in Watergate.

A little humor:
Two Middle East mothers are sitting in a cafe chatting over a plate of tabouli and a litre of goat’s milk.

The older of the two pulls a small folder out of her handbag and starts flipping through photos. They start reminiscing.

”This is my oldest son, Mujibar. He would have been 24 years old now.”

”Yes, I remember him as a baby.” says the other mother cheerfully.

“He’s a martyr now though.” the mother confides.

“Oh, so sad dear…” says the other.

”And this is my second son, Khalid. He would have been 21.”

”Oh, I remember him,” says the other happily, ”he had such curly hair when he was born.”

”He’s a martyr too…” says the mother quietly.

”Oh, gracious me…” says the other.

”And this is my third son. My baby. My beautiful Ahmed. He would have been 18”, she whispers.

“Yes,” says the friend enthusiastically, ”I remember when he first started school…”

”He’s a martyr also,” says the mother, with tears in her eyes.

After a pause and a deep sigh, the second Muslim mother looks wistfully at the photographs and, searching for the right words, says . .

“They blow up so fast, don’t they?”

Well there’s one thing more we learned from all this. The FBI knew about this affair – supposedly – since the summer. And they had been investigating the threatening emails since the spring. So we now know that there ARE in fact SOME secrets that the White House won’t leak to the press. So we got that going for us, which is nice.

Keep in mind, this is the general who HAD to be better than his subordinates in every physical event. He would challenge men to pushup contest. The other guy won. Okay, now let’s run 5 miles. The other guy won again. Okay, let’s run 20 miles until I find something at which I can beat you. That kind of egomania is BOUND to get caught with its drawers down.

Sean M on November 12, 2012 at 2:44 pm

Ah, ANOTHER PERFUMED EGO-MANICAL General was that General Wesley Clark the mad bomber of Serbian civilians…and beloved by the Clintons, maddie halfbrite and John McCain.

And he was involved in the Waco Massacre as well…

Alabama Pride on November 12, 2012 at 3:57 pm

There is a pattern that is forming here.

Once Obama was re-elected, the first thing he did was join the gun control discussions at the UN.

Once Obama was re-elected, the scandal about General Betrayus was disclosed, in spite of the fact that the FBI was investigating Betrayus as early as this past summer.

Once Obama was re-elected, it was announced that drilling was not going to be allowed on hundreds of thousands of acres of public land which contain many billions of barrels of oil (equivalents). This land is empty desert, and none of the land is in a National Park or Wilderness Area.

Once Obama was re-elected there has been a torrent of new regulations in just a week.

G-d, 1/2 the American Public were so gullible!

Jonathan E. Grant on November 12, 2012 at 3:14 pm

I just WISH it was ONLY gullible… I am beginning to think they are BRAIN DAMAGED(#):( by obama propaganda as well.

    Sigh…

Jeez Deb – this turned me on! But, I must say that I have “exclusive access” to my wife, but it doesn’t mean I’m sleeping with her! Ah well, that’s my problem. I’m going out to rent “Fatal Attraction” right away – I don’t think it ends well for the “chick”!

@Rick_Buggy on November 12, 2012 at 4:26 pm

Paula Broadwell has replaced Sandra Fluke as the woman having the most well known vagina in America. Now Gen. Petraeus’ private parts are being discussed at dinner tables across America.

maryk on November 12, 2012 at 6:03 pm

“What kind of CIA Director?” The kind that doesn’t need to be blackmailed to undermine national security. I predict he will say nothing useful about Benghazi although he might lose the Caddyshack smile. The left is doing a kick ass job kicking our asses so my enthusiasm is curbed for the time being.

Natalie was employed by Barry Cohen in Tampa but just recently filed suit on an employment matter.

For what it’s worth, wiki shows him “seeing” combat in 2003 as a general in Iraq. Everyone knows generals don’t see combat like a Pfc does. He was accidentally shot in the chest by his own people when he was famously hospitalized and got out quicker than expected doing his push ups. He’s been groomed and pampered for years, probably enjoying lots of female staff members along the way. His concubine, interviewed by Stewart, loved telling the world how they ran together during her visits. Obviously she enjoyed the attention of this guy, and watching it I could tell that the run was a little show for her to realize the old man could “keep up” with the younger woman when it really mattered. damn.
