PLO Terrorists Mourn Amb Chris Stevens: “Close Friend” Who “Understood Palestinian Side”
Yesterday, I told you about slain U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens’ strong pan-Islamic sympathies and career of pandering to jihadists. Reader Jon Grant of Grant Patent Services said he believes Stevens was probably anti-Israel. And now we have proof that Jon’s instincts were spot on. Top P.L.O. terrorists–especially those who were tightest with terrorist-in-chief Yasser Arafat–say they were very close to Stevens, who they say “understood the Palestinian side,” which is code for “he was pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel.” Among those mourning Stevens’ death were Hanan Ashrawi, Peter Jennings’ sexy (by Palestinian standards) former girlfriend and Yasser Arafat’s favorite Christian mouthpiece and suicide bombing proponent. Saeb Erekat, who took the same positions, and was Arafat’s chief negotiator and his spokesman, called Stevens “a close friend” but qualified Stevens’ murder with a statement about how “the discrediting of our prophet Mohammad” is not tolerable. Christopher worked in the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem, where he took the Palestinians’ side consistently.
Ma’an, the official P.L.O. news agency reports:
BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — Palestinian negotiators on Thursday remembered US ambassador Christopher Stevens as fair-minded and described his death in Libya as a major loss for American foreign policy.
Translation: a major loss for the jihad.
Stevens, who was killed with three colleagues Tuesday in an attack on US institutions in Benghazi, had served years earlier as a political officer at the US consulate in Jerusalem.
“It’s just tragic,” said Hanan Ashrawi, a PLO leader and veteran negotiator with Israel. “It’s very sad. I thought he was a person who was not just intelligent but also caring.”
As a mediator, the Arabic-speaking envoy “understood the Palestinian situation well. He was very understanding and he listened; he didn’t repeat talking points,” Ashrawi said in an interview.
“He could have made a big difference in people’s lives and, really, to America’s standing and credibility. His loss is a loss not only to US foreign policy but also to its standing with other states.”
Um, when Palestinian terrorist mouthpieces for the P.L.O. say that someone made a big difference to America’s standing and credibility, they mean “he was as anti-Israel as we are.”
Senior PLO negotiator Saeb Erekat blasted Stevens’ murder as an “ugly act of terror.”
Yup, and a PLO official definitely knows “ugly acts of terror.” It’s what he stands for.
“He was a really close friend of the family, and I am really shocked,” Erekat told Ma’an. “He was murdered in a very ugly act of terror, and it’s so despicable.”
Erekat said he had personally communicated to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the Palestinian people’s condolences.
“Such a good man, such a great loss. . . . Of course no one tolerates the discrediting of our prophet Mohammad . . . ,” he said of the alleged motive.
Yup, he kissed the asses of the P.L.O. when they were blowing up Jews at bars, pizza joints, hotels, Passover Seders, and everywhere else. And yet savagery in response to speech they don’t like is more important than their dhimmi-bassador’s life.
So typical.
Jon Grant:
This man was fundamentally working against American and Western interests by fundamentally supporting Islamo-terrrorists. And as such, he was more of a traitor to American than a hero. He worked for the State Department, but like so many in the State Department, their loyalties lie with the Arabic-oil interests rather than American interests.
It’s ironic and sad that he was killed because ostensibly he represented America in the eyes of the Muslims who killed him. But in reality he represented those Muslims against America.

Is this upside down world? Where it’s more important to protect peoples’ “feelings” than protect peoples’ lives?
You’d think the persons that draw cartoons or other forms of entertainment are the bigger monsters than the persons that KILL over them.
