Yes, Anti-Semitism No Longer Exists “Tweet” of the Day

By Debbie Schlussel
**** SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATES ****
On Twitter, I frequently get vile, anti-Semitic Tweets sent my way, but usually they come from Muslims, Black Muslims, and (in my e-mail inbox) Sarah Palin supporters. (You can follow me on Twitter here.)
Today, an apparently Japanese man *** CORRECTION: he now says he’s Italian *** who goes by the names “Fatmanippo” and “Samuraifat,” weighed in:

Fatmanippo
@DebbieSchlussel you wicked f-cking bagel fiending, bloodsucking, golden chocolate coin eating whore of a jew
about 9 hours ago from web

(By the way, he didn’t use a dash in the f-word. I put that in to try to minimize this site being blocked by certain software programs at the workplaces of my readers.)

Samuraifat a/k/a Fatmanippo: Jew Hater of the Day
For the record, I don’t eat bagels. I don’t like them. This would be my t-shirt on the subject. Not sure what “bagel fiending” means, but I’ve never used a stale bagel as a weapon. Good suggestion, though, and perhaps I’ll try it some day.
To those who don’t get the “golden chocolate coin” part, that’s apparently a reference to the treats kids traditionally get on Channukah, which are chocolate coins wrapped in gold foil and made to look like the gold coins or “Channukah Gelt” that was customarily given instead of gifts on Channukah in Europe. For the record, I don’t eat those coins either, but looks like the fat Japanese guy has had his fill of them.
For those inclined to send future anti-Semitic Tweets like this and in the interest of accuracy, please note the other foods stereotypically associated with the Jews, which I don’t like and don’t consume: lox, cream cheese, herring, smoked salmon, gefilte fish, lutefisk (oh, wait, wrong ethnic group for that one). I think that covers it.
Yup, I should stop “whining” about the rise in anti-Semitism because, clearly, the problem has been eradicated.
File Under: Does the Second Amendment Cover the Right to Bear Bagels?
**** UPDATE: Sadly, some very prominent conservative commentators and organizations are embracing and/or looking the other way on anti-Semitism like this, and far worse. I’ll be writing about this in the near future, but here are some names: Thomas More Law Center, Sam Adams Alliance, Hot Air/Ed Morrissey, Michelle Malkin, Hanan Tudor (who goes by the porn name, “Brigitte Gabriel”), ACT for America, American Congress for Truth.
All of them chose to look the other way on Holocaust-denying Muslim death, rape, and torture threats on my life and that of my family members, and to continue to promote individuals and organizations which praised and/or condoned it.
*** UPDATE #2: Apparently this twitterer is the person behind, JewsKilledMichaelJackson.com, and he’s Italian, according to tweets he just sent me.

If he didn’t know you are a Jew, he would refrain from making judgments about someone he doesn’t know. Just knowing someone is a Jew brings out the worst in some people and yet we’re told anti-Semitism is a historical artifact. Yeah sure – tell it to Debbie Schlussel!

C’mon, Deb! We all know that us evil Joooos bring out the best in Liberals. Being anti-semitic is sooooo Liberal Uber-chic. My once Conservative Temple has been over-run by a bunch of Liberals from the Reformed Temple across town. When they send me my bill for dues next month, I will send it back with “I QUIT!; I’d rather join Chabad!”

You don’t eat bagels, lox or cream cheese? As a goy who loves those things (usually together), I’ve gotta question your taste.

JimM on July 17, 2009 at 12:10 pm

Debbie U don’t eat Bagels & cream cheese? The Wolf loves bagels & cream cheese almost as much as Krispy Kreme donuts & boiled peanuts! This is making me hungry. Hebrew National Dog sounds good. It’s great to be a red neck. We eat EVERYTHING.

Debbie,
Itís just too sad, or too bad, whichever way one looks at it, that self proclaimed conservatives choose to say nothing or do nothing when they are aware of anti-Semitism.
As a conservative Christian, I see it as my duty and my obligation to my God to confront anti-Semitism when I encounter it. (And I do confront it, much to the dismay of my many liberal co-workers, as I work at a college campus.)
Anti-Semitism is as evil as racism and cannot be tolerated. Itís as simple as that.
Conservatives who are Christians should keep in mind that if it hadnít been for the Jewish people, a Jewish Carpenter specifically, Christianity would not exist.

I just don’t understand anti-Semitism. Jews don’t fly airplanes into buildings, there are decidedly few Jews on welfare, and nobody is telling me to press 2 for Hebrew. They’re more than OK in my book 🙂

Unfortunately as the economy gets worse and Israel gets to the point where it will no longer bend over and hold its ankles to pressure from the US, we are going to see a drastic rise in overt anti semitism.
This will be especially true using the internet and social networking sites that make it easy for people to spew whatever kind of hatred they want with little or no accountability or deterrence.

i_am_me on July 17, 2009 at 12:44 pm

I get a lot of those comments, too.
The funny thing is, I’m not Jewish (nor, as far as I can tell is anyone in my ancestry – and I can go back over 200 years). I’m Roman Catholic.
Even Jews take me for one of them.

In a world void of anti-Semitism, the War Against Israel could not possibly exist.
Anti-Semitism is getting worse every day and I’m afraid you are correct to note that many Major Jewish Organizations (some chartered specifically to confront anti-Semitism) are failing to confront it.

Michelle Malkin jumped the shark. A few months ago she wrote a screed denouncing those who believe Obama is not a natural born citizen of the US. No facts, just a my-sh*t-don’t-stink column equating 9-11 truthers with citizens who are questioning Obama’s eligibility.
I don’t know what’s going on with Michelle. I guess she wants to be invited to soirees.

It’s sad but liberal Catholics and Jews enable such behavior. Time and tima again, they vote Democrat and support organizations with anti Judeo-Christian agendas.
I will NOT go quietly to the showers!

Do you at least like chicken soup? Matzo balls optional?
[L: OF COURSE. I LOOOOOOVE THOSE! “JEWISH PENICILLIN” RULES. DS]

Sheesh…I’m a gentile and I LOVE bagels! Used to work at a bagel shop and would get a free bagel during my shift.
And–gasp!–I’ve met blacks who aren’t big fans of watermelon!

Usually you have great images to go with your articles but I don’t get this one. I see an emo slacker dude. I don’t get it. Clue me in?
As for the guy who the hell is he? What was he upset about?

californiascreaming on July 17, 2009 at 4:50 pm

You don’t like bagels, lox, cream cheese, and herring? I do.
I also like a good laffa schwarma sandwich at the Jerusalem cafe. I can’t go there now because it closes early for shabbat.

As a WW II combat veteran I believe some of those posting have no knowledge about war. The military did not lose the war in Vietnam. You cannot defeat the enemy unless you attack their stronghold. The war was mismanaged by the politicians, not the military. The politicians did not have the guts to stand up to the Media.

Debbie,
Speaking for myself (and I think everyone else who has posted here), We Love You and the GREAT work you’re doing!
I had no idea Brigitte Gabriel was an alias and a fraud.

joe on July 20, 2009 at 7:53 am

To joe (above) and to all: There seem to be several fake-conservative/anti-Jihad fraudsters. Perhaps they makes $$$. I finally caught glimpse of Gabrielle/Tudor on TV. GOSH she is a dead-ringer for my “crazy” Aunt Tami(who changed religions, tried to convert others, screamingly nasty)-Diagnosis of Tudor:Liar! B-U-T sadly, there are well-intentioned, patriotic people who put their trust in fraudsters. They see a website, hear nice words, take these at face value. It has even-almost-happened to me.
We should share info about these frauds with followers, but be somewhat gentle. People are just LONGING for leadership!
We need to realize that we must follow our own good hearts and minds. & Check out those you decide to trust(and you can depend on Debbie here, of course).
Further, I agree with Lexi (above) asking why Michelle Malkin, on the O birth certif. issue, could equate concerned Americans with anti-Semite 9/11 truthers!? Maybe Malkin has a personal issue that leads to this particular insensitivity? But what she wrote was very, very offensive! & Thanks for saying so!

Just another frustrated, anti-semitic, internet coward living in mommy’s basement who could never say those things to our faces. On occasion, I challenge these punks to come say it to my face offering them a meeting with me and they always back down. They’re all cowards. No need to worry, Karma will catch up with them.

On a trip to New York City, I asked a friend why everybody seemed to hate the Jews. I just didn’t get it – a people devastated by the Halocaust, given a homeland only to be repeatedly attacked for it (thank you, Great Britain!), and then making a name for themselves as being the finest soldiers the world has ever seen in their own defense – what in the world did these people ever do to deserve this kind of treatment? He looked me in the eye, and said, “Haven’t you heard? The Jews killed Christ!” As a Christian, my first response was, “Thank you!”
People seem to forget we’re talking about Israel 2000 years ago! There were Jews, and there were Romans. Certainly the Jews were complicit, but so were the Romans! Why don’t we have the same animosity towards Italy? But there was no one else! It isn’t like the Amish were busy that day!
Facts are facts: if Christ hadn’t died, there would be no Christian religion. The Jews alive today hold no responsibility for that – it was prophesied in the Old Testament, and was meant to be. That is the whole point of our religion – His resurrection! Get over it, people – we owe our lives, and our religion, in fact our basic heritage, to the Jews! No escaping that, and it is in our best interest to support them in their struggle for survival!

What….anti-semitism no longer exists? Who is the hashish-smoker who made that claim? If someone says Soviet communism or the Japanese Empire no longer exist, that would be valid. Yet while I am tired of some blacks or some Jews constantly screaming “persecuted me,” only an idiot seriously thinks that either racism or anti-semitism are totally gone.
