“Last Resort”: New ABC Show Glorifies US Soldiers Who Refuse to Bomb Muslim Pakistan, Defy Orders

By Debbie Schlussel

Forget for a second that Barack Obama is currently the Commander-in-Chief, and consider the premise of one of ABC’s biggest new fall shows, which it is heavily promoting. You’ve probably seen the promos for “Last Resort,” which are in heavy rotation. What you probably don’t know is that it’s pure, unadulterated anti-war, anti-American fecal material. Here’s the description, which I copied from a recent edition of “Entertainment Weekly,” in its “Fall TV Preview”:

When Capt. Marcus Chaplin ([Andre] Braugher) defies orders to fire nuclear weapons at Pakistan, his submarine and crew become the U.S.A.’s target.” “Ninety-nine percent of these guys would have fired because that’s their job,” says [star Scott] Speedman, 37. “The guys say no, and we’ll deal with the consequences.”

The show’s tagline is “Honor In Defiance,” as if there is some sort of valor in soldiers refusing to follow orders, when American lives are at stake and there might be nuclear war. Disgusting. Video trailers for the show, like the one below, show that America attacks the submarine that refuses to follow orders and attack Pakistan, and the announcer says that they were “betrayed by their nation.” Puh-leeze. Promos for the show portray these soldiers as “courageous” for refusing orders to bomb a Muslim nation. Seems like this might be some sort of “fictional” attack on Israel and those on the right in America who want nuclear Iran taken out before it takes us out.

We’ve had enough draft-dodgers (including Barack Obama, a story I broke on this site in 2008 and which was shamelessly, admittedly ripped off by sleazy Sheriff Joe Arpaio for grandstanding purposes). We’ve had enough soldiers who became turncoats for Islam and killed their fellow soldiers on the battlefield. We certainly don’t need ABC glamorizing it further, and we don’t need more Obama-style programming on TV. But that seems to be what is going on here. It’s pure leftist bullcrap.

I’m glad that 99% of the guys would have fired (as Speedman claims), something actor Speedman seems to have a problem with. In these kinds of missions, it’s NOT courageous or brave to refuse. It’s merely aiding and abetting the enemy. Which ABC seems to believe is a good thing.

No surprise there. So glad that network shows are losing their audiences in droves. Can’t wait ’til this screed of a TV show is canceled.

There is NO honor whatsoever in refusing orders of the Commander in Chief when we are at war. It’s the work of cowards who risk America’s lives for their leftism and Third World worldviews.

By their logic, Pierre Laval and Vidkun Quisling would be heroes. They aided and abetted the enemies of their respect countries, while portraying themselves as heroes. Capt. Marcus Chaplin, as portrayed, was no better than Laval and Quisling. He became a collaborator. Why is rank treachery heroism?

Worry01 on August 27, 2012 at 4:15 pm

Shows how far our country has descended. In other times during our history, a show like this would have been considered treason, and its creators and promoters would have been imprisoned, and either executed or given life sentences at hard labor.

Little Al on August 27, 2012 at 4:17 pm

Are you talking about those times when almost no one knew that our army’s and secret agencies were promoting wars and financing drug dealers in poor countries on behalf of our national safety? Maybe you were watching looney-toons.

The new sons of America believe in ethics (and have been educated to know the meaning of the word).

It’s never too late to get an education.

Steven King on August 27, 2012 at 6:37 pm

You had best procure that education yourself Steven. It has not been displayed by you here.

Ugggh. More Islamopandering! And glorifying soldiers who fail to follow orders? We’ve come to expect this from the major media. Sadly, the U.S. military leadership is now a big part of the problem as well, caving in at every turn to those who would destroy this great nation:

Ralph Adamo on August 27, 2012 at 4:17 pm

I especially like the commercials.. This “hero” defies his orders refusing to bomb a terrorist supporting nation.. but has no trouble threatening to nuke his own country?

Well, this country elected a radical who used to espouse the need for “re-education camps” looks like the tv networks are doing it for him..

BradS on September 25, 2012 at 4:36 am

This is the reality of how our government treats our soldiers: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/aug/27/marines-punished-urinating-taliban-corpses/

We treat urinating on a Taliban corpse as a war crime. The truth is that our government has infinitely more respect for its enemies than for those who protect us.

Worry01 on August 27, 2012 at 4:24 pm

And it indeed is an attack on Israel and defense of Iran. They probably didn’ t think they could get away with defending soldiers who wouldn’t attack Iran, so they tried to pick a country that doesn’t have the poor public image (at least among a substantial portion of their viewing base), so they picked Pakistan instead.

Little Al on August 27, 2012 at 4:31 pm

And notice the promo poster with the soldier dragging the flag in the water like it was an old rag! I didn’t hear about this show until Debbie posted about it. Then again, I rarely have my TV tuned to ABC, especially since “V” was cancelled.

Alan on August 27, 2012 at 4:32 pm

Such drivel can be expected from the fevered brains of Hollyweed Leftoids. Anything that goes against traditional values or just plain old American patriotism is what they’ll promote.

icanseetheroadahead on August 27, 2012 at 4:33 pm

ABC? The only thing on that network I watch is “Castle”. “V” wasn’t bad (though I didn’t care for the lovely Morena Baccarin in short hair), and “Flash Forward” was intriguing. But ABC dropped both programs before the conclusion or “great reveal” respectively.

As to “Last Resort”‘s premise, as long as the Muslim world is at war with us, they should merit a place in a future target list. It was only recently that Pakistan blocked supply routes into Afghanistan, leaving hundreds of trucks and NATO personnel sitting ducks for attacks. Yes, that act cost US lives as well as significant losses in materiel.

Raymond in DC on August 27, 2012 at 4:56 pm

Waiting for the ABC TV series about the courageous Tea Party activists who uncover a massive Democrat vote fraud scheme paid for by a former Nazi billionaire, and who are then pursued relentlessly by DHS, State Dept. thugs, and members of the MSM who have everything invested in the fraud succeeding…

Waiting…
Waiting…

TheDeadBooks on August 27, 2012 at 4:57 pm

I’ve heard about the show you’re describing! I think it premieres November 6th…

    Robert M on September 23, 2012 at 1:46 am

Walt Disney must be rolling in his grave.

To Raymond, I stopped watching Castle (the only show on abc that I did watch) when they did an episode where the muslims were the good guys and veterans were the bad guys. The veterans were framing muslim cab drivers for trying to set off a nuke in NY. They even have the syrians help out after admitting they have been following and spying on syrians citizens in NY.

ender on August 27, 2012 at 5:06 pm

    Ender,

I’m not surprised – this pan-Islamic promotion of Muslims as good guys and our side as eevil – its pure Hollywood leftist BS!

I am not expecting taqiyyah to disappear from American entertainment in the foreseeable future.

NormanF on August 27, 2012 at 5:46 pm

And their pan-Islamist views.

The Left would be comfortable with Pakistan with making New York City a ground zero but G-d forbid that we destroy our enemies!

My prediction? This new show will be canceled after two weeks cuz no one will be watching it!

NormanF on August 27, 2012 at 5:21 pm

Just wondering – would ABC or anyone else glorify it if US soldiers refused to fire on Serbs in Kosovo when Muslims try to get them to do it? Hmmm? Or if they got orders to fire on Israel (Stan Cohen’s wet dream)?

And why does anyone think that the US would nuke Pakistan? When they didn’t do it after 9/11, even though Pakistan was as much guilty as the Taliban was for those attacks (every fugitive to date – Osama, KSM, Ramzi bin al Shibh, Abu Zubeida, et al has been captured in heartland cities in Pakistan, like Karachi, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, et al, and not in their ‘Wild West’ areas of Waziristan). And this is true for Dems & Republicans – in fact, the Dems are a tad better as far as Pakistan goes. Can you imagine Bush approving the raid that killed Osama? I can’t, since that meant breaking into Pakistan.

So ABC needn’t worry – a Paki Jihadi could set up a nuke in their main recording studios in LA or NY, and the US wouldn’t lift a finger.

Infidel on August 27, 2012 at 5:39 pm

Imfidel,

Yup. Like I said, the Pakis could nuke a few million liberal Americans and a good portion of Israel-hating Jews off the planet – and you do have a good point – why on earth should our country avenge THEM?

Knowing that they would never risk their lives to save us! And neither would ABC if the show’s tagline is to be believed.

NormanF on August 27, 2012 at 5:51 pm

If you are the Captain of a nuclear armed submarine and you are ordered to fire on Topeka Kansas you better do it.
They don’t throw out orders like that because they are bored.
The President and the Joint chief of Staff shouldn’t have to sit the Captain down and explain all the dozens of reasons that they have made this decision.

I can only pray that at the end of the season they show that millions of innocents are killed because this idiot captain didn’t fire his nukes when he was told and thus allowed terrorists time to gain control of Pakistan’s nukes and level London, Paris, New York and the Captain’s hometown.

smg45acp on August 27, 2012 at 5:55 pm

Creepy, weird, subversive show: IOW, typical progressive Hollywood values. I really hope this gets canceled fast.

DS_ROCKS! on August 27, 2012 at 5:59 pm

There is such a thing as the chain of command. Whatever an officer’s feelings might be, in real life he obeys a lawful order from his superiors.

We’re not talking about a refusal to obey an illegal order – I don’t think that what the show is depicting.

And if Debbie had said that was the case, there wouldn’t be a problem with. I presume in that fictional reality, Pakistan has either already nuked the US or is about to do so and the Commander In Chief and the brass has ordered the enemy to be destroyed.

If US servicemen in World War II had disobeyed orders to drop the atom bombs on Japan when they did, they would have killed millions of Americans! In war, we don’t have the luxury of second-guessing military orders. They are usually issued for a very good reason.

NormanF on August 27, 2012 at 6:03 pm

Can’t wait to see the sponsors for this crap will be?

eloopd on August 27, 2012 at 6:14 pm

Looks like a glorification of treason. The submarine captain reminds me of Idi Amin. Is there any cannibalism in the movie?

RT on August 27, 2012 at 6:18 pm

It IS treason to refuse to defend your country!

I had to laugh at the line about their being betrayed by America. That’s rich leftist BS fertilizer. Like any one would think traitorous cowards are heroes worthy of being honored.

Not outside of Hollywood and ABC, that’s for sure.

NormanF on August 27, 2012 at 6:26 pm

The military folks on submarines are called sailors.

Pops on August 27, 2012 at 6:29 pm

Pops – they are soldiers in wartime regardless of whether they at sea, on land or in the air.

It does say something about the spirit of our times though that any one could consider destroying a Muslim nation that hates us and who knowingly gave shelter to the terrorist who mass-murdered 3000 Americans politically incorrect. I guess they can destroy us but we can’t destroy them?

I pity the fools who think we should take it in the head so they can appease their guilt-ridden conscience!

NormanF on August 27, 2012 at 6:36 pm

This is the same theme as the cop shows with the rougue who never follows orders, does things his/her own way and is regarded as the best officer/detective on the force.

JeffT on August 27, 2012 at 7:04 pm

The reason the commander refused the order is because the writer wants a TV series which last more than 2 episodes. Otherwise in 1st episodes Pakistan cities get nuked and episodes 2 American bases and cities get nuked. Chapter closed, nobody wins. That usually happens is a nuclear fallout. By the way just for your knowledge pakistan has second strike capability. Make sense why USA is not at war with Pakistan, or even afford to dream about nuking Pak cities. Americans should worry about their 6.3 trillions dollars of internal debt.

Faisal Syed on August 27, 2012 at 7:40 pm

If anyone cared to actually look at the show it’s about the submarine getting orders with no official confirmation on the launch. The captain refuses to comply unless he gets An official order, not just some higher up telling him to do it.

Nakruh on August 27, 2012 at 7:52 pm

From what I saw – the order came from a secondary channel. When it was verified as authentic – the crew had the duty to obey the order. The President or Secretary Of Defense or the high brass doesn’t have the time to walk through to the captain of a ship the provenance of the order. There is such a thing as a chain of command in the military. When it breaks down, what you have are mutineers and traitors.

That’s exactly what was depicted in the pilot episode and it wasn’t believable. No military officer or serviceman would take it upon himself to refuse to obey a lawful order because he had questions about it. If you don’t like it, you resign and let someone else take over. But you don’t suborn mutiny and commit treason.

Those are not things Americans like. We have people in this country who just don’t like those in our Armed Forces who honorably serve our country. Its a shame we have them in Hollywood!

NormanF on September 27, 2012 at 10:20 pm

Well, it’s amazing how ignorant many people are on Islam and Moooooslims. It shines right through. It’s disgusting because when one is that willfully ignorant in 2012 it shows they have almost zero foundation on what is happening in the world. Islam and Mooooslims should be in the front of EVERYONE’s mind.

Scott Speedman is a boring Canuck. Don’t mean to offend Canadians here but they don’t exactly set the world on fire in my book. You know the world is in trouble when Canucks are superceding Yanks and their lousy dollar is not so lousy anymore. It’s a bummer.

Skunky on August 27, 2012 at 8:24 pm

    I’m a boring ex-Canuck actually.

Maybe that’s why he got the lead role – they couldn’t cast an American actor for this series?

I don’t exactly set the world afire and I’m too polite – l’air est aussi agréable qu’un automne à Montréal – but I sure hope the air here won’t be kind to Scott Speedman!

May his new TV series sink into well-deserved obscurity.

NormanF on August 28, 2012 at 1:14 am

Norman you’re an EX-Canadian…that says it all. You are proud to be American and it shows.

And you’re anything but boring. Scott Speedman could learn a lot from you.

He’s always bored me. Never was into him as an actor. Females tend to like him but I don’t see any substance and/or charisma. Another bread sandwich.

Skunky on August 28, 2012 at 9:42 am

Hey Skunky. Explain your Bruins, who traditionally have more Canucks on the roster than other NHL teams (Original 6 and otherwise).

Scott Speedman – I wouldn’t know him from a box of flocons de maïs, but I’ll bet he surely needed the greenbacks, eh? (We watch Murrican TV too.)

Our Loonies worth more than your Dead Presidents? We’re just at parity. That doesn’t mean that our gas is getting cheaper, but travelling Stateside just got a bit better.

As for us Canucks not setting the world on fire, we just go out, get the job done and be back by supper.

And the last time we set anything on fire was almost 200 years ago (well, it was the Brits who did it, but hey).

To ender: Walt Disney was allegedly an anti-semite and a Nazi sympathizer – he would’ve loved the show if he were alive.

To Raymond – I only watched V for a couple of shows, mainly to get a good look at Anna’s badonkadonk. After that, meh.

    @jacquattack on Twitter – out.

The Reverend Jacques on August 28, 2012 at 1:13 pm

Oh come on! As soon as I saw an US nuclear sub going to war against the US, I KNEW it was all anti-war, anti-military, anti-patriotism. And if the Captain refused, his Executive Officer would have had him put in the brig and taken command. Heck, I’m not even Navy (retired Army) and I know that! Please tell me Americans aren’t stupid enough to believe an entire ship can mutiny like this!

Sean M on August 27, 2012 at 9:45 pm

Sean M. Ever READ Herman Wouk’s “Cain Mutiny?” How about “Mutiny on the Bounty?” Both great movies, BTW. That’s what a mutiny is, when the CREW takes over the ship in defiance of the Captain’s orders. I’m a woman and even I know that.

Italkit on August 28, 2012 at 3:08 am

Is ABC still airing?

Steve Gardality on August 28, 2012 at 10:54 am

Looks completely hokey, as usual. A mutiny would never happen so easily, and the order wouldn’t come down from some shadow figure whose authority the captain doesn’t recognize. Last, they wouldn’t just hang up the phone and then try to blow up their most advanced submarine. Completely stupid. Also look for the female sailor to be a big storyline, she will be the smartest and most squared-away crewman on the ship, despite being the youngest and in a tough new, unfamiliar situation. So brave.

Not to worry though, at best this show gets replaced mid-season, so 13 episodes tops.

Hopewell on August 28, 2012 at 11:48 am

This show won’t last no more than 3 months. The psychonuts running mainstream America just doesn’t get it. They truly think we are that dumb and this gullible to easily fall for things like this.

TV today is no longer what it once was, which is why I don’t miss having cable and why I just watch what I like on the internet.

Squirrel3D on August 28, 2012 at 1:22 pm

Let the “liberals” and “baby boomers” promote “defection” and the honor of deficance within armed forces, since they are the ones in power, command the US, nato armies and have abused them the most.
It won´t be a conservative governement that would panic or try to save itself by ordering the firing of nuclear missiles, the powers that be made sure the elections won´t matter.

That way, when push comes to show, when predator drones liberally blast away crowds of civilians with hellfire missiles (not in Pakistan or Turkey), they won´t run out of trigger-happy mercs but find out that the best of the fighting force will be on one side, while the worst on another.

Debbie Schlussel HATES Poland. She is a perfect example of extremism. Racially prejudiced, she hates everything, except Israel. Chauvinistic! Prejudiced! Discriminatory!

marc on September 1, 2012 at 11:52 am

Do we know who the sponsors are? Shouldn’t we organize a boycott of them for supporting this show?

Solomon2 on September 1, 2012 at 11:44 pm

The show is actually worse than Debbie wrote about in her review. Its bad enough the crew refuses to obey orders up from the chain of command.

What’s truly despicable is they threaten their country with nuclear destruction!

Insubordination is intolerable but treason is unforgivable. There is nothing honorable about what’s been depicted on the show.

I have to admit though its highly quality Bin Laden entertainment. War can be a terrible thing but when your nation is under attack you do NOT turn against it.

Thankfully, this will remain fiction – the wet dreams of anti-America Hollywood!

NormanF on September 27, 2012 at 10:06 pm

do you have a religion??? of course not. You can only make fun of people who have a religion, especially the religion of Islam!!! you say Islam is a terrorist religion do you have strong evidence

joe on October 1, 2012 at 9:34 am

I usually agree with Debbie, however, I completely disagree with here on this one. If following the orders of those in charge is always right, why was that not the case in WWII? Should we want our military to be nothing but mindless robots who follow orders blindly or those who are willing to question orders when they seem to be questionable? Before you attack what I’m saying; ask yourself if you would have the same reaction if the order to nuke Israel resulted in the same refusal of orders?

We criticize those on the left for their lack of thinking critically but then we sometimes forget to think critically. Why should we be eager to bomb other nations around the world? If we are going to continue to spread “democracy” around the world, how are we going to pay for it all?

Keith Bergstresser on November 9, 2012 at 12:40 pm

Debbie, IT’S A FREAKING TV SHOW!! Get the hell over yourself!! Admit your racist and move on. Clearly, most of you on this blog have no clue about Islam or Pakistan. My God, people!! Seriously? Set up a boycott?? Umm, did you forget that we live in a FREE country?? If you don’t like it, don’t watch it! It’s not a required viewing! People, like you, Debbie, who do nothing more than spread your racist vitriol, are no better than any extremist. Extremists (and terrorists) exist in all sects of human societies; generalizing and mass-accusation is a dangerous game. You are promoting the hatred of innocent people EXACTLY how extremists in other countries promote the hatred of innocent people in our country. Open your mind and see the world. Or are you too cowardly to face the fact that you just might (are) wrong?

Callie on November 17, 2012 at 2:40 am

It’s called following the Constitution of the United States. As a military officer, you swore to protect the Constitution. If the President’s orders or a senior leader order defies the Constitution, the order cannot be followed. Moreover, it’s clearly unconstitutional and against the Geneva Convention to kill unarmed civilians, like nuking a Nation.

A on December 15, 2012 at 3:00 am

Wow! I am surprised to see so many patriots who don’t realize blindly following your leader is unconstitutional.

If you watched the show you would see that an order comes in from an unauthorized channel. So, are you saying if protocol states, only follow orders that come in on channel X and you get an order, as huge as nuking a country, on channel Y, that you should not question it and just go ahead and destroy innocent people. You do understand that most people over there are innocent right?

I found this post and think it’s funny that this soldier has support from the right and people in the military even though he says his oath is to the constitution not the president, because of his hatred for the president.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46820717/ns/us_news-security/#.UO_IU2_7L6v
So it’s a little hypocritical that you all state that orders should be followed no matter what, but I bet you all think this guy is in the right because he says he doesn’t follow President Obama. And since most of you hate the president (which doesn’t make sense) you probably support him and that is hypocritical.

I would like to see one Debbie follower tell me that this guy was wrong. And what about you Debbie?

Concerned Citizen on January 11, 2013 at 3:17 am

I have only one word to say: NUREMBERG. “Following orders” was dismissed as a defense argument in the trials of all nazi commanders, military or otherwise.

I didn´t fail History in HS on January 30, 2013 at 11:59 am

By following Miss/Mrs. Schlussel’s logic and by most of the opinions seen here, one can assume that it is not about the moral implications of the orders given but the “patriotic” notions backing them that should be followed.
A great man, at least by the popular opinion of the greater majority of the human race, once said “Patriotism is the cancer of our age”; and for those who do not know who said this, it was Albert Einstein and he was discussing Nazi Germany during the war.
So willing were those under the Iron Cross to follow there orders on behalf of the Fatherland that some of the most abysmal crimes occurred at there hands. Not because these men were evil, not because these men were insane, granted many of them do fall into these categories, but because they were simply following orders that they were raised/trained to never question.
I’m not saying that a soldier should never follow orders, but as individuals each member of the military is obligated morally to question orders that they consider wrong.

I will end with this…
“Those who never question are no better than slaves, doomed to fear, ignorance and acts of Evil.”

Anonymous Minds on February 11, 2013 at 7:40 pm

It’s poetic that Anonymous Minds would make that post in this blog and this comment thread with such largely “predictable” responses, because it is a glaring indictment on America today. America is the modern day pharisee – it claims to be Christian, to espouse justice, freedom and liberty. But in action it is a juggernaut of genocide, exploitation, suffering and butchery which exists solely in the service of corporate greed – where tens of millions of people have suffered because of what America has become in the last century.

Yet Americans violently rail against any criticism of America becoming the very thing which the US Constitution and its values militantly opposed. Small surprise that US Federal Agencies have been caught of film in training session indoctrinating people that if the founding fathers of the US existed today, they would be regarded as “terrorists”. In other words, if the founding fathers were alive today, they would be arrested indefinitely under the Patriot Act and subjected to “extraordinary rendition”.

All of this of course in a climate where the US has lied about wars or entered them under false pretenses – resulting in genocide of over 10 million Afghan and Iraqi men, women AND CHILDREN. You talk about defending women’s rights in places like the Middle East, but where is your concern for women where the rape culture in the IDF is concerned and where Palestinian women and girls form a culture of victims (which has been an open secret in amongst historians for some time now and is even acknowledged by highly regarded Israeli historian Benny Morris I might add)?

In places like Fallujah, the US has repeated what it did in Vietnam to children, with the unapologetic and staunchly defended use of white phosphorus in places like Fallujah – where children as young as 4 and even younger have limbs amputated due to chemical weapons-based injuries. In fact, with the exception of Israel, the US is the only country to refuse to sign a convention banning the use of white phosphorus in urban areas as a chemical weapon – a treaty which has 88 signatories to it.

Then to bring up just one of countelss COld War examples, there is the fact that because Allende (a democratically elected leader I might add) couldn’t be used as a puppet, the US backed Pinochet and helped him rise to power – resulting in misery for hunddreds of thousands of people, along with countless other nations the US used as pawns to be exploited and discarded during the Cold War.

Yet the typical response of so many Americans is to dismiss people raising these issues and countless others as “anti- American”, “bleeding hearts”, “terrorist sympathisers”, “leftist” and so the list goes on. Alternately, you accuse the critic of being ungrateful for the “freedom” America gives.

Well I wonder what you would say if you were confronted by a 4 year old girl forced to wear an artifical leg because one of your soldiers burned it off in an act of “collateral damage” or a 7 year old boy beaten and tortured in an Israeli jail because America gives Israel a free pass for such actions?

Would you response be to dehumanise a little child as a “terrorist”? Then again, considering that the Nazis had no trouble calling innocent children “Jewish dogs” because of their ethnicity, I have no doubt that some of you would behave in such a monstrous and subhuman manner in that sort of situation.

The irony of someone complaining about promo posters showing the US flag being treated like a rag should not be lost on anyone – the very arguments such people make and the attitudes they carry, take a giant dump on everything America was founded on and the very underlying values of the US Constitution itself- every minute of every day.

Anyone who wonders how the German people could so enthusiastically support Hitler with the Holocaust, need look no further than current American society as a model of how such horrors could come to pass. The USA is a nation which 60 years ago stood before the world and said that “just following orders” was never a valid justification for genocide – said never again to it in fact. Now its people demand death and charges of treason for US soldiers who live up to those claims – even in a hypothetical situation.

That is why the world hates you so much and that is why, a century from now and maybe sooner when history comes to judge you, that wearing the US Flag will come to be seen as being as distasteful as wearing a Swastika.

I watched that show and if you had seen it, the men involved were in the right as the entire act of nuking this “enemy” country was all part of a setup. This nation has a problem with “just following orders” and could use more men like that in the military. I have a feeling that when asked to fire on American citizens, you won’t have the same sentiment towards those who refuse.. Get your head out of your ass
