I think this fool was on CNN earlier today or some other Muslim Cleric claiming GITMO detainees wouldn’t influence other prisoners.

Its not politically correct to vet prison imams? Well then we shouldn’t be surprised to find Muslim converts behind terrorist plots. And there will be a lot more who will just be smarter at evading the authorities and in committing acts of mass murder on American soil.
I’d say one 9/11 wasn’t enough for the country, with the way things have been going since then.

See my comment made in response to Debbie’s earlier discussion of this topic (May 21). I have met Salahuddin Muhammed several times, and was dismayed (but hardly surprised) at many of his comments and opinions.

Yes, I am familiar with this imam. He makes smiling appearances at (Reform) synagogues.
There he is happy to feed the delusions of Jews who hope to find a human heart with compassion and humanity beating in a muslim breast.
Must I make comparisons to WWII again?
I want to ask those people who buy the big lies of this imam “Is protecting your delusions more important to you than protecting Jewish lives?”

I think the problems are worse than the Imams (although that is a huge problem). I believe Al Queda has been trying to find ways to infiltrate prisons in the US with prisoners. I always found it suspicious about what happened with Richard Reid (The “shoe bomber” who failed to set off an explosive device in his shoe on a flight). He was alone and his attempt failed miserably. Al Queda usually tires multiple attacks at once and they hardly ever perform like a dud. I believe he intentionally failed so he could get caught so he could infiltrate our prisons.
There have been Al Queda people caught in Europe that I also believe were intentional set ups by Al Queda.

That Newburgh imam and the rest of those carpet-humpers in that masjid must be more of those “moderate muzlums” I keep hearing about.
Here’s a little background info on that “moderate” imam, Salahuddin Muhammad.
The imam of the Newburgh mosque where the Bronx-plot terror cell was organized has worked for more than 20 years in the New York state prison system converting inmates to Islam — and was hired by the radical Muslim chaplain banned for praising the 9/11 hijackers.
Muhammad also has worked as a prison chaplain at Fishkill Correctional Facility since 1985 — where alleged Bronx terrorist James Cromitie was imprisoned in 1991.
Muhammad was recruited to work in the prison system by the controversial Warith Deen Umar, who was booted after he reportedly said Muslims “secretly admire” the attacks on the World Trade Center.
Muhammad converted to Islam when he was in prison, said Imam Talib Abdur-Rashid of the Mosque of Islamic Brotherhood in Harlem, who has known Muhammad for 20 years. Muhammad served 12 years for robbery, according to a 2003 report in The Wall Street Journal.
During a stint as chaplain at the prison in Beacon, Muhammad, a Sunni, sowed division within Islam by referring to Shia convicts who adhered to another branch of the Islamic faith as “infiltrators and snitches” during his Friday sermons, according to prisoner complaints reported in the Journal in 2003.

Back in 96′ when I worked in the California system, it was widely known that the muslim imam that preached to the prisoners was preaching hate. At Salinas Valley State Prison they owned the highest rate of staff assaults. I heard that he would have them marching around in closed services. They’d come out when it was over and they’d be brimming with attitude and POP out of the blue sucker punch a c/o. They weren’t quite as assualtive in the level 2 I went to in Michigan but the administration was stocked full of blacks that had been drummed out of other prisons and were known racist morons with a tendency toward hooking up whitey. I was targeted numerous times but was too clean to get run out. When you are a rookie you get all the slimey jerks coming at you anyway but in that environment the muslims really try their best.
