I Read Trash, So You Don’t Have To: People Magazine Gay Marriage Immigration Sob Story

By Debbie Schlussel
As I’ve frequently written on this site, an important reason to be against legalized gay marriage–other than the moral reasons–is that people will abuse this to get green cards and U.S. citizenship. It’s already been done.
And sorry, but I really can’t shed a single tear for gay and lesbian illegal aliens who are here in violation of the law, after they overstayed student or tourist visas or snuck in.
But you can’t say the same for People Magazine, the official reading material for Americans of the sixth grade reading level.
The April 20th issue of People Magazine features this sob story about lesbian Shirley Tan, who overstayed a tourist visa for 23 YEARS! In 1986, she came here on a tourist visa and stayed, despite a final deportation order. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents came to deport her in January, but like most other illegal aliens, she gamed the system and won a stay of deportation until tomorrow.

Let’s hope that ICE swoops in to take her at that time. But, don’t worry, she’s already given birth to twin anchor babies, using her lesbian lovers eggs.
Now, after living here illegally for 23 years, she’s whining that gays can’t get married. Well, ya know, chickie (at least, we think that’s what you are), you had 23 years to figure that out. Yet, you chose to stay here, have children, and now that you’ve gamed us for over two decades, you’re whining you can’t game us more?
Buh-bye, and good riddance.
Sorry, but giving citizenship to thousands of gay illegal aliens–People claims there are 8,500 same-sex couples seeking immigration rights–is no reason to legalize gay marriage. It’s yet another reason NOT to.
Despite People’s propaganda and clear agenda to the contrary, tell your Congressman and Senators to vote against the Uniting American Families Act, which simply awards amnesty to illegal alien sperm, womb, and egg donors of anchor babies and people who play for the other team.

What country (cuntry?) is this woman from? Which is Shirley–the butch or the fem lesbian?
The butch in the picture could have passed for male on an ID card–IMO.
I notice People never calls them “illegal aliens,” using the standard ploy–just call them “immigrants.”
You are right on this 100%, DS.

Wasn’t this a Drew Carey storyline???

I’d really like to see our government do away with the concept of automatic citizenship for an anchor-baby. Yes, I know I’m dreaming.

Way back when I ruined my life by joining the border patrol, prostitutes/alcoholics/drug addicts/sexual deviates AND HOMOSEXUALS were excludable at entry. But these days we are ‘progressive’ and understanding…makes me puke. Do whatever you want to do, but keep it to yourself.

Gay marriage is an abomination as it says in the Torah (Leviticus talks about homosexuality itself, actually).
I commend that Miss California for sticking to her guns about gay marriage even though it cost her the Miss USA crown.
That Perez Hilton should be relieved of his (her?) duties as a judge for his biased and incorrect formulations.
Between that CNN newscaster ridiculing the Tea parties as “tea bagging” and Perez Hilton’s foul mouthed rant, it makes me thing homosexuality is a mental illness despite the cowardice of the APA on this when they took homosexuality off the DSM list due to threats against the psychiatrists.

When will America have the guts to deport undesirables like neo-nazis?
[…is that people will abuse this to get green cards and U.S. citizenship.]
That’s a ridiculous reason. If we can live with the immigration problems of heterosexual marriages then we can do the same for homosexual marriages. It’s not as big a deal as you think Debbie. And with homosexual marriages, you don’t have to worry about anchor babies now do you Debbie?
[NB: YES, YOU DO HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANCHOR BABIES FROM GAYS, WITH OR WITHOUT GAY MARRIAGE. THERE ARE TWO IDENTIFIED IN THIS POST, WHICH YOU APPARENTLY DIDN’T READ THAT CLOSELY. DS]

FWIW I think you completely missed Norman B’s point. As I understand it he’s arguing that the effects of homosexual marriage on immigration policy are no worse than the effects of heterosexual marriage on immigration policy. But f course, that argument is entirely too reasonable. So go beat the crap out of that strawman!

Debbie, you are so right. In Orange County California or Los Angeles or King County Washington it is common for pregnant Koreans to have a “anchor baby” or “tourist baby” so their beloved male baby wont have to serve in the Korean military. If you are born a Korean citizen you MUST serve an inscription to the Korean government. Well Korean mothers don’t want their children to serve this inscription and will have said baby in United States. So we must guard the DMZ with American soldiers to defend those who wont sacrifice for themselves? Unbelievable.

How is this any different than what’s already happening with heterosexual marriage? The vast majority of green card marriages (heterosexual ones even) are business arrangements and have nothing to do with love. Then you quote a story about a gay couple who are not trying to game the system, as proof that homosexuals will game the system? You didn’t think this through very well did you?
It’s pretty apparent that your motivations have less to do with border security and more to do with disliking gays, that’s fine you’re hardly alone but next time just say so rather than trying to draw these elaborate cover stories for your bigotry.
[S: NICE TRY, BUT NO CIGAR. CLEARLY, YOU ARE NOT A REGULAR READER OF THIS SITE. I’VE BEEN VERY CRITICAL OF HETEROSEXUAL MARRIAGE FRAUD FOR GREEN CARDS, ETC. HERE’S JUST ONE EXAMPLE OF MANY:

Fair enough, but if the problem is with green card marriage fraud in general then that’s what should be addressed, denying equal rights to homosexuals because they may commit the same fraud that heterosexuals do is just thinking about it all wrong. By that logic heterosexuals shouldn’t be able to get married either for the sake of border security.

First, all illegals are criminals and should be deported immediately and leave with only that which they entered the country illegally.
Secondly, there should be strict fines for homosexuals who come here illegally and have illegimate children because (1) they are living in great sin; (2) they are doing violence against the children they have; and (3) they set a poor example for everyone around them, especially their children’s classmates and parents.

The Old Testament also says that women should not be permitted to talk in church. Should we follow that too? The bible does not show proof against homosexuality. Furthermore, if you want to argue the Sodom scene is proof against it, I can show you equivalent proof for it.
Your blog post is not objective at all, I never read anything from you before, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but you clearly have an aversion towards homosexuals. You wrote, “Well, ya know, chickie (at least, we think that’s what you are), you had 23 years to figure that out.”
But that’s not prejudice? How can you even be taken seriously?

Trash on homosexuals regardless of whether they can change and their brain is possibly hardwired since they respond to pheromones (sexual odors) like the opposite sex. The odd biological statistics involving twins only have a 53% chance they are both gay so it cannot be completely natural right!? Therefore continuing to leave them tempted by promiscuous behavior without God is obviously for their own good and exactly what Jesus would do; this is the heterosexual agenda and generally involves rich people who have never seen the problems this would has the offer. Do not fret for this is not your problem and therefore will not hurt you.
